The focus of my work will be the company called "Krouzky o. p. s.". I have been working here for the past four years. I will concentrate on their understanding of competition and practices against it. I will explain the concept of CI by breaking it into processes and cycles. I will also provide the needs for CI specialists, who focuses on the competitive intelligence. The practical part will consist of a detailed analysis of the competition. I will use a linked database system Albertina for the data collection. My goal is to compare the competitiveness of companies that exist in the common market. In the decision process I will be using different factors and metrics. I will show all results clearly in form of a table. In the fifth chapter I will focus purely on strategic approaches and methodologies of the company "Krouzky". I will put together a questionnaire for the owner of the company "Krouzky" Mrs. Marie Ruzickova. My questions will be about the perception of competition, analysis of the company, the use of ICT and also identifying the strategic processes and methodologies that the company uses to differentiate itself from the competition. This chapter is a secret part, because Mrs. Ruzickova, the owner and director of the company does not wish to reveal her strategic processes and know-how of the company. As a professional CI specialist I will create a second questionnaire for the employees of the company, to obtain multiple views for myself and based on my findings to be able to make CI recommendations for the company. I will be able to filter out the questionnaires from the employees, from the management personnel. I will also be using freely accessible information available through the public database of commercial companies. My goal is to create a list of the best CI recommendation, based on the obtained data, to allow the company "Krouzky" to be more competitive.

The aim of the thesis is implementation of the strategic analysis for the non-governmental organization Domov Sue Ryder, o.p.s. and to identify all the factors which have impact on its economy. The work deals with the effects of the external environment and the internal resources, which are available for the organization. There was used PEST analysis for analysis of the micro-environment. I have identified all the factors that affect the firm's ability to satisfy customer needs in section related to the micro-environment. These are members in the sector of social services for elderly. They form competition or support for the organization. The important part is also the synthesis of the results of the strategic analysis. There are listed strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The conclusion summarizes the most important information. There are suggested recommendations to management for improving.

This diploma thesis analyses children's obesity treatment as it is applied in the Oliva children medical institution (ODL), Říčany. Managerial-economical methods were used to evaluate the benefits of the children's obesity therapy. The study hypotheses were that a) the ODL obesity treatment works well and b) the financial results are stable. Based on analysis of incomplete data from 2009, this study found that mean percentage loss of initial weight reached 5.8% (6.1% for boys, 5.6% for girls), a satisfactory result. In order to maximise individual weight loss, the length of one stay should exceed a month (30 days). The second part of the hypothesis, the financial analysis of the weight loss program, was not supported by the data. If economical stability (break even point) is to be achieved, the sanatorium must operate 350 days per year having 163 occupied beds. However, there were only 108 beds available in 2009 and the number of the beds continues to decrease. There are other, external factors that suggest long-term economic difficulties, such as changes in the national health-care system, pending property relations, and difficulties with both salaries and staff. In conclusion, recommendations are offered that can improve the program, given the constraints imposed on it by factors within and without the ODL.

First part of this theses deals with theoretical knowledge about local action group (LAG), their way of functioning, strategical documents and project management within the life cycle of LAG projects. On the other hand it introduces a theory about monitoring project, monitoring indicators and setting their in and out values. Second, practical, part of two the theses has also two spectrums. First part alleges from data collected during monitoring projects in LAG Království Jestřebí hory o.p.s. Data are focused at most on fulfilling monitoring indicators during last program period in between 2007 and 2013 and they are summed up as a recommendation for the new programming period. Programming period 2014 and 2020 has so far introduced a new method of setting up indicators, which is also described in this theses, including the restrictions that LAG has to deal with. Practical part is ended by commentary on setted values and their actual possibility of fullfillment in real life. The entire theses ends the final summery in which the author states her own reccomendations and tips regarding the setting or evaluation of monitoring indicators.

Le point de depart de cette etude est la revue << missions catholiques >>. Nous avons etudie les illustrations de cette derniere, concernant la chine entre 1880 et 1940, afin de mettre en evidence l'image que les missionnaires voulaient donner aux lecteurs europeens de la chine, des chinois et des evenements concernant ce pays, le tout a travers le prisme de l'action missionnaire. Mais, au-dela de cela, le principal interet de cette etude est que nous avions egalement a disposition les archives photographiques des oeuvres pontificales missionnaires (rue du plat, lyon 2eme) ou se trouve, dans le fond ancien, l'essentiel des photographies envoyees en europe par des missionnaires (principalement m. E. P. , scheutistes, maryknoll, franciscains. . . ). Apres avoir presente les archives et les missionnaires qui les ont constituees, nous avons pu nous livrer a une comparaison entre la collection archivee et la collection publiee par les missions catholiques. Il apparait alors des differences importantes entre le message que voulaient faire passer par leurs photographies les missionnaires et celui qui ressort du choix des redacteurs. Les differences sont particulierement sensibles dans les domaines suivants : - place du clerge indigene au sein des missions - presence des laics chinois dans l'eglise - rapport aux problemes politiques de la chine de la premiere moitie du xxeme siecle - relations avec les chinois non catholiques. . . Etc. Au final, les archives revelent des missionnaires beaucoup plus impliques et integres dans les monde chinois. Les archives photographiques mettent globalement en valeur des domaines de l'action missionnaire que les missionnaires ont eux-memes negliges dans leurs ecrits.

Cette thèse est composée de trois volumes : le mémoire principal et deux volumes d’annexes. Elle présente une étude comparée d’images (photographies, dessins de presse, cartes, publicités) parues dans L’Express et Le Nouvel Observateur depuis 1967 (guerre des Six Jours) à 1983 (élimination politique de Yasser Arafat de la scène proche-orientale). Il ne s’agit pas de réécrire une nouvelle histoire des relations israélo-palestiniennes mais plutôt de comprendre comment l’agencement de l’image dans l’article de presse oriente notre perception de l’information. Ainsi l’image instrumentalisée devient un outil indispensable non seulement pour critiquer l’attitude du gouvernement israélien mais aussi pour condamner le terrorisme palestinien. Nous avons dégagé huit objets iconographiques regroupés en deux catégories : « l’image-illustration », « l’image-message ». Nous avons analysé la place de l’image dans l’article, l’importance de l’agencement de celui-ci pour mettre en évidence les liens existant entre les différents objets le composant. Ces images, seules ou multiples et scénarisées, ne cessent d’interpeller sur le danger de la colonisation des territoires occupés. Elles dénoncent aussi l’inanité des actes terroristes. Par contre, elles célèbrent tout espoir de paix, si ténu soit-ilThis thesis is made up of three volumes : the main dissertation and two volumes of appendices. The study outlines a comparative study of images (photographs, sketches, maps, ads) published in L’Express and Le Nouvel Observateur, from 1967 (Six Day War) to 1983 (Yasser Arafat’s political demise on the Middle-Eastern stage). The intention is not to re-write the history of the Israeli-Palestinian relations, but rather to understand how images in the print media influence our perception of the information. The use of images thus become an essential tool, not only to criticize the Israeli Government’s attitude, but also to denounce Palestinian terrorism. We have selected eight iconographic objects which we further divided into two categories : "illustration-image″ and "message-image″. We have analyzed the place of the image in the article and the text relating to it in order to highlight the sum of the constituent parts. Such images, single or multiple and scripted, never cease to stress the dangers of the colonization of the occupied Territories. They also condemn the pointlessness of the terrorist acts. On the other hand, they celebrate every potential hope for peace, no matter how faint

This thesis firstly introduces the normative approach to power and Coercion on the landing selectively addressing the literatures of prison sociology, and policing . Then it presents the interactionist approach adopted. In the substantive part of the thesis it will outline the ‘organization of the use-of-force in practice’. Chapter 5 focuses on what officers do when they routinely patrol the wing, either in calm and boring situations or during more violent situations that may or may not lead to the start of what is here called and reconstructed as the ‘Cycle of doing coercion’ (that I also call the’ Cycle of the use-of-force and violence’ or simply ‘the Cycle’). Both Chapter 6 and 7 will instead focus on the emergency squad intervention on the wing. Lastly,Chapter 8 is methodologically oriented and deals selectively only with few relevant methodological and ethical issues that have emerged doing this particular ethnography in a custodila complex in Italy.

Industrialization and urbanization have polluted available land, and most agricultural land has
recently been converted to development sites. When exposed to changes in water concentrations, a
large section of agricultural land has expansive soil with significant inflammation and shrinkage
properties. The procedure of treating or replacing soil with a suitable and effective substance to
improve its mechanical qualities for building is known as soil stabilization. Valorization of waste
from groundnut mills and onion peel waste in improving soil properties used for building and
construction projects are cost-effective and economically feasible waste management methods.
Other studies have found that using groundnut shell ash (G.S.A.) and onion peel powder (O.P.P.) on
clay is beneficial. As a result, the purpose of this research is to examine the qualities of clayey soils
containing varied percentages of G.S.A. and O.P.P. The atterberg limits-plastic limit, liquid limit,
plasticity index, California bearing ratio, shear strength, and moisture content tests were used to
evaluate the efficacy of G.S.A. and O.P.P. in improving soil parameters. Improved soil efficiency
and geotechnical qualities have also been emphasized for long-term use in various commercial
activities. With the addition of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% of G.S.A and 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% of O.P.P.,
Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS), Plastic Limit, Compaction, Liquid Limit, and California
Bearing Ratio (CBR), significantly increase till certain limit.

Velký důraz, který je po roce 1989 kladen na dodržováni lidských práv, se velmi výrazně odrazil i v oblasti sociálních služeb. Posilování práv občanů, uživatelů sociálních služeb, pak v průběhu 90. let 20. století nalézalo svoje vyjádření v dokumentech, jejichž cílem bylo velmi individualizovaným způsobem podpořit sociální začleňování občanů a jejich uplatnění ve společnosti. Jedním z cílů sociálních služeb se stalo umožnění důstojného života občanům tak, aby mohli prosazovat svá práva a oprávněné zájmy. Od ledna 2007 jsou principy, které odrážejí dobrou praxi v dodržování lidských práv a svobod v sociálních službách součástí zákona č. 108/2006 Sb., o sociálních službách a vyhlášky č. 505/2006 Sb. (příloha č. 2), a to v podobě tzv. Standardů kvality sociálních služeb. Právě v souvislosti s uvedenými změnami a požadavky na kvalitu prochází sociální služby transformací. Podobně, jako v jiných sociálních službách, bylo i v sociálních službách poskytovaných nevládní neziskovou organizací BONA, o.p.s. nutno zásadně přehodnotit praxi poskytovaných služeb. On the field of social services devoted to children with health handicaps and their families there have been recently established lots of new organizations. So it has been becoming more and more up to date topic. The aim of this thesis, named Expectations of parents about the social services provided by Kaňka o.p.s. Tábor, is to find out actual information whether the parents´ expectations identify with providing of these services. Within this thesis there has been defined the following research question: Do the parents´ expectations correspond with the social services provided? The thesis has been divided into the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part has been devoted to the sphere of family, the family surroundings which has been the foundation stone of the life of the children with health handicaps. It is also devoted to parents of children with health handicaps in context of social services provided, characteristic of these families according to the law No. 108/2006 about the social services. There has been specified the social service of early care, personal assistance and day care centre offered by the Kaňka o.p.s. Tábor institution. There have been also mentioned particular therapies realized for the children with health handicaps. The therapies seem to be meaningful for these children at least because the children calm down, entertain, relax and develop during them. There have also been mentioned variety of special aids often used during the activities with these children, which make the care easier not only to the families but to all persons taking care of these children. You can also find there some non-profit institutions in the southern Bohemia region, which provide similar services as Kaňka o.p.s. Tábor does. And last but not least the theoretical part is devoted to the term Expectation itself - what do parents expect of the social services mingled with individual planning of social services, thanks to which the particular organization can be better joined in the process of expectations of the social services. The empirical part deals with the institution Kaňka o.p.s. Tábor with respect to the social services provided to the families of children with health handicaps, who attend this institution. There have besides other things been engaged the other services provided by the institution Kaňka o.p.s. That means therapeutic activities, free time activities, rehabilitation integration stays, one-time activities etc. This part has been enriched with the basic case history of individual clients whose families were part of the research. According to these case histories it is more obvious which clients with a health handicap really attend the institution Kaňka o.p.s. In view of the determined aim there was chosen the qualitative research strategy, the method of asking questions, and the technique of half-structured dialogue. The research was realized in the Kaňka o.p.s. Tábor institution and there were involved twenty respondents. For this research there was chosen the method of intentional choice, that means ten parents of children who attend the Kaňka o.p.s. institution and use the social services there and ten parents of children who also attend this institution and not only use the social services, but also the compulsory education. In the thesis there were determined the spheres of questions relating to the given issues of expectation of the social services provided by Kaňka o.p.s. Tábor. During the data processing, systematization and interpretation there was used selective coding within the method of the contents analysis. There were created categories which facilitate the organization and classification of the data. The result of the thesis has shown that in the research there were involved predominantly women in the age from 40 to 50 and most of them were mothers of the children.

The dissertation deals with the particularities of a mutual cooperation of hearing and deaf employees of the institution Tichý svět, o.p.s. The dissertation is divided into the theoretical and the application part. The theoretical part is dedicated for the theme of the culture in the general concept, the culture of the organisation, and culture of the deafs. The thesis also deals with diversity management and communication in organizational management, focusing on communication in the intercultural team and description of the deaf communication systems. The theoretical part focuses, in its conclusion, on the team and teamwork, on conflicts and their solutions in the cotext of diversity management. The objective of the application part was to analyze situations where there is a misunderstanding between the hearing and the deaf employees of the organization and to describe the specifics of this cooperation. At the end of the thesis the finding are discussed and recommendations made for the organization, which are aimed to avoid misunderstanding. IN ENGLISH The aim of my thesis is to introduce the system of monitoring of undesirable events and its relationship with the legislative regulations of the Czech Republic and outline the process of controlled change in the organization. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the general description of the system of reporting undesirable events at national and international level and is based on research from available literature. The other important part of the theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to the quality system and basic processes of controlled change processes as described by the Czech and foreign authors. The practical part of the thesis is based on a case study from The Žatec Hospital, which represents the initial analysis of the monitoring system of the undesirable events in the organization, planning and description of the processes and individual steps in the process of controlled change with subsequent analysis of the system of adverse event monitoring after aforementioned change. This diploma thesis analyses the questions that were put in to the Gender Studies, o. p. s. online law centre between the years 2006 and 2014. This online law centre is primarily dedicated to answer questions on the topic of discrimination in the labour market, especially on issues relating to maternity or paternity leave as well as reconciliation of personal and working life. The theoretical part is devoted to putting this issue into the appropriate social and legal context. The main aim of this thesis is to answer the research question on what are the topics of the questions asked in this online law centre within the above mentioned time period, and also to determine whether men and women are interested in diverse topics. The chosen research method is quantitative content analysis. The outputs of this analysis are rather descriptive due to the high number of analysed queries. This research will formulate a new algorithm for the network senitivity calcultion. This algorithm will be incorporated in the optimal power flow for testing. A new linear incremental model will be formulated in the solving process and the linear programming technique will be applied. There are already many research works in the LP-OPF area. As a matter of fact, many energy management systems are running the LP-OPF in real-time with the fast decoupled DC(FD-DC) model. However, FD-DC model needs assumptions on (1)negligible line conductances (2)small angular differences (within a 30 degrees range) (3)constant voltages (at their nominal values). The above assumptions are not necessarily true, especially under severe conditions where the system may undergo severe violations. This research will try to develop a new model to avoid the above assumptions. The new model will try to resolve the OPF problem with the performance similar to the conventional fast decoupled DC model. However, no assumptions will be needed. A decoupled version of the new model will be also investigated. The state variables, power-injections, and current-injections will be analyzed to investigate the practicality of the new model. The convergent characteristics, the robustness, storage and performance will all be tested to see the feasibility of the new model in handling the real-time energy management functions.

The goal of this paper is to describe the relationship between a non-governmental organisation and the government. The paper is a case study of the non-governmental organization Meta o.p.s. which works in the field of integrating foreigners and focuses on the issue of educating pupils who speak various mother tongues. The paper deals with the development of relationships, the roles within these relationships the organization fulfils with regards to the government, and the influence these relationships with the government have on the organization's goals and development. Furthermore, the paper focuses on the persisting barriers which prevent these relationships from being created and developed. The relationships between Meta o.p.s. and the government are observed on individual levels of the public administration (national, regional, municipal). The paper consists of 4 parts. Organ procurement is an important step of organ transplantation. The organ procurement experience is not as usual as standard nursing work, so, what feeling and influence would happen to those nurses who are working to assist organ procurement. There are two purposes of this quantitative study. At first, it aim to understand the experience, feeling and self-care of nurses at organ procurement work. Second, understanding the influence on experience of organ procurement, included: work identity, their perspective of death and organ donation. This study is using purposeful sampling method via semi-constructed to in-depth interview six perioperative nurses from Northern O.P.O. The study finding, interviewed nurses are feeling positive of their organ procurement work but the most description of their work are negative. On the other hand, watching donor dying is not a delightful experience, 1/3 are capable of facing donor’s death. The most important reason is that they have better self-care. In conclusion, watching the death of donor would make trauma experience of perioperative nurses who assist organ procurement. How to understand and help all staff who related to organ donation for their self-care will be the next step to be working on in the future.

The objective of this diploma thesis is to identify factors for improvement of effective implementation of public projects for upcoming programming period in LAG Rozvoj Krnovska o.p.s. with respect to its individual conditions. The theoretical part provides understanding with the most important concepts for this thesis as various methods of evaluation, local action groups and rural development under LEADER platform. Practical part of this thesis focuses on implementation of chosen evaluation methods at research sample composed of projects executed in chosen LAG during 2010-2013. It further evaluates their effectiveness under CUA and CEA conditions and from results it additionally analysis factors which were present at the best performing projects. Identification of these factors should become a recommendation for specific LAG in order to improve project selection criterion with aim to improve project effectiveness in programming period 2014-2020.

Ačkoliv jsou Romové součástí české společnosti již několik staletí, postoj Cechů k tomuto etniku se stále ukazuje jako rozporuplný. V projevených postojích příslušníků majority vůči romské menšině lze pozorovat širokou škálu často protichůdných tendencí. Od aktivistické rétoriky zapálených bojovníků za práva menšin, přes romanticky laděný obdiv k životnímu stylu Romů, až po rasistické a diskriminační jednání, jehož nositelé řadí všechny Romy do skupiny obtížných a nepřizpůsobivých "spoluobčanů". Soužití Romů a Cechů je stále plné konfliktů a mnoho Romů se následkem neschopnosti zvládnout nároky majoritní společnosti ocitá na okraji. Na okraji pracovního trhu, vzdělávacího systému, ale i městské čtvrti či města, ve kterém dosud žili. Romské rodiny se v posledních patnácti letech často nacházejí v situaci sociálního vyloučení, které je charakterizováno nedostatkem příležitostí stát se součástí společnosti nebo sníženou schopností na tyto příležitosti dosáhnout. Příčin propadu romských rodin na pomyslné sociální dno je mnoho a příslušnost k odlišnému etniku je jen jednou z nich. This applies especially personnel management strategies as a means to ensure the quality of social services. This includes defining specific roles and competencies of social workers in Tyfloservis, system selection and training of new employees and additional support resources, including professional development planning process. The aim is to evaluate the existing system of selection, training and other support staff Tyfloservis compared with findings from the literature and our own experience as a social worker and manager in this context to suggest a change. Te aim of the research dissertation thesis is to introduce transactional analysis as a practi- cal tool applicable for efective communication with clients in low-threshold addictology services. Te main objective is the discovery of ego-states that clients use in communication with employees, determining the representation of individual ego-states at both client and employee side. A partial goal is to observe the methods of communication with the client, which lead to the provision of services in the framework of Adult to Adult transactions. Te output usable in real life is a manual of communication between employees and clients using principles of transaction analysis. JEL Classification System: G24; G34Na presente dissertação elabora-se um estudo no âmbito da realidade do capital de risco, sendo focado na análise à evolução do desinvestimento por parte das S.C.R. a nível nacional e europeu. As principais conclusões retiradas do mesmo prendem-se com o facto de que Portugal segue a tendência dos principais países Europeus neste sector, no que diz respeito aos principais métodos de saída utilizados pelas sociedades de capital de risco. Enquanto na Europa as estratégias de saída mais importantes são a venda a outras empresas (trade sale), os pagamentos de empréstimos e a venda a outra S.C.R., para Portugal são a saída por venda a outras empresas, o pagamento dos empréstimos concedidos e a venda aos antigos titulares. Outro facto de destaque é a pouca importância do desinvestimento por O.P.I. (Oferta Pública Inicial) para as duas realidades estudadas, sendo este facto explicado pela inexistência de um mercado de capitais adaptado à realidade do capital de risco europeia.
This dissertation provides a comparative study about the reality of venture capital, focused in the analysis of the divestment phase, at national and European level. The main conclusions of this study are related to the fact that Portugal follows the trend of the main European countries in this sector concerning to the main divestment strategies used by the venture capital firms. In Europe the main exit strategies are trade sales, loan repayment and sales to other VCs, while in Portugal they include trade sales, loan repayment and buybacks. Another relevant fact is the small importance of divestment through I.P.O. for both Portugal and the rest of Europe, which may be explained by the lack of a developed financial market with a focus on venture capital in Europe.

Title: Virtual Reality in Comprehensive Rehabilitation of People with Spinal Cord Injury Objectives: The main aim of this work was to find out how the virtual reality in comprehensive rehabilitation affects individuals with spinal cord injury who took part in social rehabilitation stay at Centrum Paraple, o.p.s. The research was focused on the awareness of virtual reality, probands' subjective reactions to therapeutic video, and comparison of these reactions between individuals with complete and incomplete spinal cord injury. Furthermore, potential interest in this form of therapy within the future comprehensive rehabilitation of probands was investigated. Methods: Twenty seven probands in the 18-70 age range, with complete or incomplete spinal cord injury took part in the quantitative research. During their social rehabilitation stay at Centrum Paraple, o.p.s., probands were shown three and half minute long therapeutic video through VR headset. Probands completed an input and output questionnaire. The input questionnaire mapped previous experience with virtual reality and inquired about probands' interest to try out virtual reality during social rehabilitation stay. In the first chapters of the text, the work deals with the Roma, their culture, family, traditions, historical origin. The following text presents organizations that work with the Roma in the territory of the city České Budějovice, their value foundation, principles, requirements for social workers etc. These were the Sociálně aktivizační služby pro rodiny s dětmi Sasanka, Oddělení sociálně - právní ochrany dětí and Jihočeská rozvojová o.p.s. Ethical issues have resulted freely from a critical reflection of the three compared facilities working with Roma families. In the following text there are presented two ethical theories by which the selected ethical questions are further processed, deontology and ethics of care. In the last part of this work, ethical questions are further elaborated using both ethical theories.
