Rossend Arús i Arderiu (Barcelona, 1844 -1891), tot i ser conegut sobretot com a filantrop, maçó, republicà i catalanista, va produir una interessant obra literària, poc estudiada i valorada, també en la seva faceta teatral. Calia, dons, un estudi a fons del seu teatre. Compromès socialment, va participar en diverses associacions, com la Societat del Born, la Tertúlia Catalana i Lo Niu Guerrer, en què es va formar com a dramaturg fent fins i tot d’apuntador i d’actor. La seva producció teatral conservada és força extensa: més d’una cinquantena d’obres, la majoria en català (entre les castellanes, destaca El nuevo Tenorio, escrita el 1878 amb Joaquim M. Bartrina). Algunes són adaptacions, com La taverna (1884), traducció amb Eduard Vidal i Valenciano d’una versió teatral de la novel·la L’Assommoir, d’Émile Zola. Arús, havent escrit ja precoces provatures, de les quals s’ha conservat parcialment el drama romàntic La hija del sepulturero (1854), va debutar amb Lo senyor Pere, comèdia en vers que va ser censurada, i Lladres de ciutat, drama en prosa d’ambientació contemporània que denuncia la corrupció (ambdues escrites el 1865, un any clau per a la modernització del teatre català, a la qual van contribuir). Reprendria aquest gènere amb Claudi F. (1872), basat en un cèlebre cas de suplantació. Després de la Revolució de Setembre va estrenar Lo comte En Jaume (1869), paròdia antiaristocràtica del drama històric romàntic. A partir del Sexenni Democràtic, va desenvolupar el seu teatre més polític: les revistes de l’any, Mai més monarquia! (1873), Viva la federal! (1873), Via fora sometent! (1875), contra el carlisme, i les sàtires del sistema de la Restauració Un ambo de regidors (1878) i La mà oculta (1880). El rerefons ideològic es revela també en les seves peces al·legòriques, com La Societat del Born. Filantropia i diversió (1873) i La Caritat (1874), i en el seu teatre de costums. Tot i l’aproximació al realisme, no va renunciar a elements fantàstics, evidents sobretot en La Llúcia dels cabells de plata (1871) i Los quatre pecats (1876), obres adscrites al teatre de màgia, el “viatge imaginari” de referents vernians La llanterna màgica (1876) i recreacions de diversos mites populars o popularitzats, des dels pastorets (1875 i 1876) a la rondallística (1876-1883). Arús va explorar, doncs, diversos gèneres temàtics i formals, que va innovar. Concebent el teatre com una eina de transformació social, va compaginar el didactisme amb l’entreteniment. Així va abastar també un públic popular, amb considerable èxit.
Rossend Arús (Barcelona, 1844 -1891), a pesar de ser conocido sobre todo como filántropo, masón, republicano y catalanista, produjo una interesante obra literaria, poco estudiada y valorada, también en su faceta teatral. Rossend Arús i Arderiu (Barcelona, 1844 -1891), despite being renowned especially as a philanthropist, a Mason, a republican and a Catalanist, he produced an interesting literary work, little studied and valued, also in the theatrical facet. Therefore, it was necessary an in-depth study on his theatre. As a socially engaged person, he took part in several associations, such as la Societat del Born, la Tertúlia Catalana and Lo Niu Guerrer, in which he was trained as a dramatist, and he became even a prompter and an actor. His preserved theatrical production is quite extensive: more than fifty works, most in Catalan (among his works in Spanish, El nuevo Tenorio, written in 1878 with Joaquim M. Bartrina, is highlighted). Some of them are adaptations, such as La taverna (1884), translation with Eduard Vidal i Valenciano of a theatrical version of the novel L’Assomoir, by Émile Zola. Arús, having already written early attempts, of which has been partially preserved the Romantic drama La hija del sepulturero (1854), he debuted with Lo senyor Pere, a comedy in verse that was censored, and Lladres de Ciutat, drama in prose set in contemporary times denouncing corruption (both written in 1865, a key year for the modernisation of Catalan theatre, to which both works contributed). He would take up this genre in Claudi F. (1872), based on a famous case of impersonation. After the Revolution of September, he premiered Lo comte En Jaume (1869), an anti-aristocratic parody of Romantic historical drama. However, from the Democratic Sexennium, he developed his theatre more political: his revues of the year, Mai més monarquia! (1873), Viva la federal! (1873), Via fora sometent! (1875), against Carlism, and the satires on about the system of the Restoration Un ambo de regidors (1878) and La mà oculta (1880). The ideological background is also revealed in his allegorical pieces, such as La Societat del Born. Filantropia i diversió (1873) and La Caritat (1874), and in his theatre of manners. Despite the approach to realism, he did not resign fantastic elements, that are especially evident in La Llúcia dels cabells de plata (1871), Los quatre pecats (1876), the "imaginary travel" of Vernians referents La llanterna màgica (1876) and his recreations of several popular or popularised myths, from the Nativity (1875) to the folk tales (1876-1883). Arús thus explored thematic and formal genres, which innovated. Conceiving theatre as a tool for social transformation, he combined didacticism with entertainment. In this way, he reached also a popular audience, with considerable success.

The most important finding to emerge from the studies reported in this thesis was the discovery that the newly arisen allopolyploid species, S. cambrensis Rosser, has originated on more than one occasion in Britain. A survey of isozyme variation for acid phosphatase (ACP) and a-esterase (a-EST) in S. cambrensis (2n = 60) and its putative parents, the Oxford Ragwort, Senecio squalidus L. (2n = 20) and the Common Groundsel, S. vulgaris L. (2n = 40), produced clear evidence that the Scottish and Welsh populations of S. cambrensis have separate origins. In addition, isozyme banding patterns for glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase (GOT) indicated that populations of S. cambrensis from Wrexham and Mochdre in N. Wales also represent independent origins of the species in Britain. Extending the isozyme survey to include other populations of the two parental species led to the confirmation that the radiate allele in S. vulgaris has an introgressive origin from S. squalidus. Evidence for this came from an analysis of variation at the Got-1 locus. It was established that the Got-1a allele which is present in British S. squalidus populations at high frequency also occurs in the radiate morph of S. vulgaris, but is virtually absent from the non-radiate morph. The greater allelic variation found at the Got-1 locus in the radiate morph, compared to the non-radiate morph, was considered to be a direct result of this introgression. In contrast, at other loci, the non-radiate morph exhibited greater allelic variation than the radiate morph, despite having a higher level of inbreeding. The reduced level of genetic variation in the radiate variant at these loci is presumed to be due to the recent origin of the radiate morph in Britain. Of additional interest was the finding that S. squalidus contains a low level of genetic variation compared with most other outcrossing species that have been surveyed to date, probably due to a genetic bottleneck experienced by the species during its colonisation of Britain. Nevertheless, the level of variation within S. squalidus was still higher than that observed in the predominantly selfing S. vulgaris. Finally, evidence from the electrophoretic survey has confirmed the close evolutionary relationship of several other members of Senecio section Annui (S. viscosus, S. sylvaticus, S. vulgaris ssp. denticulatus, S. teneriffae and S. vernalis ) to S. vulgaris var. vulgaris and S. squalidus, but has failed to support the hypothesis that S. vulgaris originated from S. vernalis via autopolyploidy.

Annotation:
A study on phase synchronization in large populations of nonlinear dynamical systems is presented in this thesis. Using the well-known Rossler system as a prototypical model, phase synchronization in one oscillator with periodic external forcing and in two-coupled nonidentical oscillators was explored at first. The study was further extended to consider three-dimensional lattices and globally coupled populations of nonidentical oscillators, in which the mathematical formulation that represents phase synchronization in the generalized N-coupled Rossler system was derived and several computer programs that perform numerical simulations were developed. The results show the effects of coupling dimension, coupling strength, population size, and system parameter on phase synchronization of the various Rossler systems, which may be applicable to studying phase synchronization in other nonlinear dynamical systems as well.

Understood in a project of transvaluation of values, the joy is one of the central themes of the thought of Friedrich Nietzsche and Cl?ment Rosset. Opposed to the dogmatic philosophy that moralize and robs your strength to think of it as "happiness", evaluated, in short, a target linked to virtue and rationality these thinkers propose a perspective that makes the joy of point to an instance extraterrestrial and back to the earth, to the body. In this vein, beyond the oppositions of values constitutive of metaphysics dogmatic, the joy and suffering are conceived as elements that are not mutually exclusive, they are complementary as foundations of a gaia(ta) science, based in laughter and friendship. A concepção de crença religiosa em Clement Rosset está ligada à sua filosofia trágica. A filosofia trágica é caracterizada pela “lógica do pior” e por afirmar o “acaso”. Os pensadores trágicos não têm preocupação em estabelecer um pensamento global, a preocupação deles é afirmar o pior. Esta forma de filosofar busca desqualificar todo pensamento filosófico totalizante, mas não é ilógica, sua lógica do pior é considerar-se como possível. Clement Rosset considera fracassadas todas as tentativas de estabelecer um sentido na natureza e de identificar princípios universais que a regem, porque a matéria está condicionada ao acaso. A ideia de natureza constitui uma ideologia similar à religião, pois tenta superar a crença religiosa afirmando a ideia de natureza. O filósofo francês ressalta que a crença em uma ação sobrenatural só existe por antes existir a crença em uma ação natural. A concepção de crença religiosa no pensamento de Clement Rosset tem como ponto central a afirmação de que a crença é dotada de um “seguro total”. Este “seguro total” pertence a toda crença religiosa e está fundado no fato de não existir um objeto de crença, pois ele é nada. A adesão é o que marca a crença religiosa, pois o modo de adesão, neste caso, é mais forte do que os objetos que ela une.
The conception of religious belief in Clement Rosset’s thought is linked to his own theory of Tragic Philosophy which is characterized by the “logic of the worst” and the “randomness”. The Tragic Thinkers do not try stablish a general thought, their preoccupation is to affirm the worst. This form of philosophize intends to disqualify all the totalizing Philosophical thought. But it is not illogical, because the logic of the worst considers itself as possible. Clement Rosset considers failed any attempts of establishing a purpose in the nature and identifying universal principles that rule it, because the matter is conditioned by the randomness. The idea of “nature” constitutes an ideology similar to Religion, because it tries to overcome the religious belief affirming the idea of nature. The French Philosopher highlights that the belief in a supernatural action just exists because of the belief on the existence of a natural action. His conception of religious belief has as a main point the affirmation that the belief is gifted with “full insurance”. This “full insurance” pertains to any religious beliefs and it is founded in the fact that there is no belief’s object, because the last is nothingness. The adherence marks the religious belief, because the manner in this case is stronger than the objects that it connects.

Transmission spectroscopy is a widely-used method for studying exoplanetary atmospheres. However, the differential data analysis techniques that are generally applied to high-resolution ground-based spectroscopic data are only sensitive to narrow spectral features and do not preserve broadband features. This makes them insensitive to the strong Rayleigh scattering slope of HD 189733 b that is due to possible atmospheric aerosols. The Rossiter-McLaughlin (RM) effect provides a way to probe broadband spectral features because its amplitude varies as a function of wavelength according to the effective planet radius. Previously, radial velocity (RV) variations caused by the RM effect were interpreted as being a tentative detection (2.5[sigma]) of the broadband scattering slope of HD 189733 b. We developed a new method that directly models the distortions in spectral lines (rather than the resulting RV variation) and applied this method to the same archival HARPS data that was used in the previous tentative detection. Here we will present this method and the ongoing work necessarily to problem-solve and fully implement it.

This dissertation examines the dynamics of deceit, (dis)simulation and dualism in Francois de Rosset's poetry and prose. Both portraying and enacting simulacra, Rosset's texts and paratexts reveal a complex skein of intertextuality and allusion while embodying a critique of semiotic systems, particularly of language itself. His works manifest an obsession with the duality hegemony/marginality, while simultaneously exhibiting a yearning for an impossible unity and an attraction for figures of power. As the baroque yields to the preclassical during Rosset's lifetime (1570-1619), he conforms to Malherbian poetic principles, simulating the new esthetic by rewriting selections from his 1604 XII Beautez ... for publication in his 1618 Delices ..., a poetry anthology illustrating a politics of inclusion/exclusion. The Histoires tragiques exemplify the diabolical in action. As the epistemological shift that Foucault describes takes place, Rosset's works reflect tensions between a near-medieval world-view and an emergent but sporadic rationalism. Numerous intertextual modes create ambiguity, causing strain between elements of popular and high culture, and involving the simulation of an aristocratic narrative persona. Tromperie and transgression become a way of life and death, revealing an interplay of unstable and/or doubtful identities. Rosset's Counter-Reformational discourse dramatizes both crime and punishment. The criminal's execution effects sublimation of rampant violence, enacting a (Girardian) reconciliatory catharsis. While the Histoires tragiques stress the transgressive through sex and gore, the 1617 Histoires des amants volages present a homogeneous vision of courtly life in which inconstancy and duality become more cerebral. The ensuing critique of amorous language extends to all language, which, through iterability or miscuing, inevitably provokes tromperie. The linguistic performative lies dissimulated beneath the story line, often intervening to effect a peripeteia. Simulation here involves acting out conformity to social and linguistic codes, while dissimulation facilitates a private agenda at odds with appearances. Bridging the Renaissance and the seventeenth century, Rosset's works show a preoccupation with the arbitrariness and ambivalence of the sign, thus prefiguring the post-modern questioning of codes.

A partir du concept « philosophie tragique », nous proposons une approche de l’ensemble de la philosophie de Rosset, qui a jusqu’ici peu été étudiée en France. Nous envisageons le rapport, dans son œuvre, entre philosophie tragique et esthétique à partir de ses analyses d’œuvres d’art dramaturgiques, littéraires et musicales. Pour ce faire, nous analysons le terme même de tragique, la fortune du drame antique et l’usage que propose Nietzsche de la tragédie pour déterminer la ligne philosophique propre à Rosset. Nous proposons ainsi une cartographie de l’ensemble de son œuvre pour analyser les nouvelles tactiques qu’il met en œuvre pour renouveler l’approche du tragique, et par là, pour évaluer la manière de philosopher singulière qu’il met en œuvre. Analysant dans ses premiers travaux le tragique à travers une analyse de l’événement tragique et de son expérience individuelle, Rosset élargit son champ de réflexion pour faire du tragique l’objet d’une philosophie du réel. Ce tournant dans son œuvre nous amène à penser le tragique non comme une question circonstancielle ou réservée à l’analyse dramaturgique ou esthétique mais comme le programme d’une nouvelle philosophie, qui conteste l’idée de nature, et propose une nouvelle philosophie du réel. En précisant cette philosophie comme « logique du pire », « anti-nature » et philosophie du hasard, nous confrontons ainsi ses ouvrages de la maturité avec son premier geste philosophique, qui détermine la philosophie comme tragique. Cela nous amène à distinguer le tragique de l’absurde et du pessimisme, en insistant sur le rapport paradoxal à la joie qu’il comporte, qui détermine le tragique comme une philosophie de l’approbation. Le rôle que tiennent la littérature et la musique est alors évalué à la lumière de cette nouvelle rencontre, que Rosset nous propose, entre une esthétique de l’artifice et une éthique de l’approbation tragique. Nous espérons ainsi contribuer à l’ouverture en France d’une réception de la philosophie de Clément Rosset
Starting from the concept of “tragic philosophy”, we offer a complete analysis of the complete philosophy of Rosset, up to now little studied in France. We contemplate the link in his work between tragic philosophy and the arts, based on his analysis of works of dramatic art, literature and music. In doing this, we analyse even the term ‘tragic’ itself, the fortune of ancient drama and the usage of tragedy proposed by Nietzsche, in order to establish the philosophical approach that belongs to Rosset. We thus present a mapping of the whole of his works in order to analyse the new tactics that he puts to work in order to re-invent the approach to tragic, and in this manner, evaluate the singular manner of the philosopher that he puts to work. Analysing in his earliest works on tragic by means of the tragic event and his personnel experience, Rosset then enlarges his field of reflexion to make tragic the object of the philosophy of reality. This twist in his work brings us to think not of the tragic as a circumstantial question or the reserve of the dramatical or artistic analysis but as the plan for a new philosophy, which contests the idea of nature, and offers a new philosophy of reality. By clarifying this philosophy as the « logic of the worst », « anti-nature » and the philosophy of chance, we thus consider his works with the maturity of his first philosophical gesture that sets out the philosophy as tragic. This method in his work leads us to distinguish the absurd tragic from that of pessimism, whilst insisting on the paradoxical link of the joy that it brings, that determines the tragic as a philosophy of approval. The role played by literature and music is thus evaluated in the light of this new encounter that Rosset proposes to us, between an art of the subtle and the ethics of tragic approval. We hope in this manner to contribute to opening France up to the philosophy of Clément Rosset
Esta tesis tiene como objetivo comprender y precisar los términos a partir de los cuales Clément Rosset retoma y reelabora el termino filosofía trágica. Para hacerlo, hemos hecho una travesía que abarca el conjunto de su obra, para así hacer visibles los diferentes estratos que conforman este concepto. En primer lugar, la filosofía trágica de la que Rosset nos habla en sus libros de juventud aparece a une escala humana: él se interroga sobre el acontecimiento trágico y la relación del humano con ese tipo de situaciones. El describe, por tanto, el sujeto trágico que se sorprende cada vez que esas situaciones aparecen. Su elaboración no solamente su nutre y está ligada definitivamente a Nietzsche, sino también a las tragedias antiguas y modernas, reforzando así el lazo entre estética y filosofía. En segundo lugar, Rosset extiende su visión de lo trágico al mundo. Así él nos invita a pensar en la actividad misma de la materia, lo cual implica que no solamente el individuo es trágico sino el mundo en su totalidad. En este momento de la reflexión es necesario precisar que Rosset no comprende lo trágico como el “hecho lamentable”, sino que su visión es mucho mas compleja, puesto él debe entenderse como el “indeterminismo” que acompaña cada acto de nuestra vida y la actividad del mundo en su conjunto. Así una filosofía trágica se dedica a pensar ese ingrediente crucial, el “indeterminismo”, de donde surgen todos los determinismos que vemos y habitamos constantemente: los acontecimientos y los seres (animados e inanimados). En tercer lugar, si Rosset instaura una nueva concepción de lo trágico, ella va permitirle, algunos años más tarde, conducir su reflexión hacia lo “real”. Es así que la palabra “trágico” se diluye, pero no su sentido, el “indeterminismo”, el cual se incrusta en el centro mismo de sus reflexiones sobre lo real. Vemos así como Rosset desliza su pensamiento hacia una filosofía de lo real que por tanto es completamente equiparable a la filosofía trágica de sus primeros libros. Eso no significa que la reflexión de Rosset permanezca estática, todo lo contrario, ella es muy activa - pero guardando una profunda coherencia -, puesto que se dedica a reformular el problema de lo real, esta vez a partir del “indeterminismo”, que aparecerá como la verdadera “naturaleza” de lo real. Finalmente si la filosofía de Rosset se dedica pensar lo real, su solo objetivo es proponernos una reconciliación con lo inmediato, con el empirismo de las cosas que nos rodean. De esta manera su filosofía es una celebración de lo real, la cual también podría leerse como una celebración del “indeterminismo”. Para garantizar mejor nuestra cohabitación con lo real, Rosset la refuerza a través de un campo de sensaciones provenientes de la música y la literatura. Es así que una filosofía de lo real, puede mejor comprenderse por las sensaciones que nos producen estas manifestaciones estéticas. Lo scopo del lavoro di tesi è l’analisi stratigrafica e vulcanologica dei depositi della successione piroclastica di Rocche Rosse relativi all’ultima fase di attività esplosiva in età olocenica dell’isola di Lipari (Isole Eolie). L’attività di Rocche Rosse si caratterizza per l’emissione di una colata riolitica ossidianacea ben nota nella letteratura vulcanologica, che viene preceduta da un episodio di attività esplosiva a bassa magnitudo tale da costituire un basso cratere piroclastico sulla sommità dell’edificio di Monte Pilato, nel settore NE di Lipari (Forni et al., 2013). L’attività eruttiva di Rocche Rosse è datata in età Medievale (1220 AD). Recentemente è stata proposta la correlazione con l’unità di Rocche Rosse di un tefra affiorante all’interno della sequenza stratigrafica del cono di La Fossa di Vulcano, utilizzato come elemento cronostratigrafico per la ricostruzione della storia eruttiva di tale edificio (Fusillo et al, 2015). Anche alla luce di questa ipotesi, l’analisi stratigrafica e vulcanologica di dettaglio della successione piroclastica di Rocche Rosse può consentire di evidenziarne lo stile eruttivo, i meccanismi di trasporto e deposizione e la capacità di dispersione. Lo studio è stato effettuato in tre sezioni stratigrafiche puntuali descritte in aree prossimali e medio-prossimali, in corrispondenza del bordo del cratere di Rocche Rosse, sul bordo ed all’esterno del cratere di Monte Pilato. Sono state inoltre effettuate diverse osservazioni in altre sezioni lungo gran parte del settore centro-settentrionale dell’isola di Lipari, evidenziando l’assenza di depositi riconducibili alla successione di Rocche Rosse. Nell’insieme si propone uno studio stratigrafico della successione di Rocche Rosse suddivisa in diverse unità deposizionali ed una valutazione generica della dispersione di questi depositi.

The radial velocity anomaly which affects spectroscopic observations of stars undergoing transit by a companion body is known as the Rossiter-McLaughlin effect. This effect can be used to measure the obliquities of the orbits of transiting planets. In this thesis I present a tomographic method for analysing the effect, which manifests itself in stellar spectral line-profiles. I implement this method on seven systems known to host transiting planets, and some systems with early-type host stars, for which the transit events have not yet been shown to be the result of planetary companions. Despite being well-suited to examining systems with early-type, rapidly-rotating host stars which have a more pronounced Rossiter-McLaughlin effect, I find the tomographic method is able to produce reasonable results for the system parameters of planets orbiting relatively slowly-rotating stars. I show that the method provides a significant increase in the accuracy of determinations of the stellar rotation rate and is able to better constrain values for the transit impact parameter. Though I do not confirm the existence of any new planets around early-type stars, I do use the tomographic method to reject one candidate as a stellar eclipsing binary system, and also reveal that one of the candidate host stars is a non-radial pulsator. I show that the method is able to examine systems involving stars with a range of spectral types and rotation rates.

This thesis shows that Gram's Law and the Rosser Rule (methods for locating zeroes of the Riemann zeta-function) fail in a positive proportion of cases. A weaker version of Gram's Law is shown to be true in a positive proportion of cases. We will address the relationship between concentration and competition in the banking industry, according to the contemporary models of Industrial Organization Theory, applying the Panzar-Rosse approach, as developed by Bikker, Schaffer, and Spierdijk, with the definition of the H statistic from a non-scaled return equation. The Panzar-Rosse approach was applied on a data sample of Brazilian commercial banks data between 2011 and 2016 using an OLS e FGLS models. The database starts in 2011, when the effects of the long 2009-2010 crisis were exhausted in the national banking system. Before applying the model, the present work reviews the literature on the theme, accentuating the diversity of approaches used to establish the causal relationships between concentration and competition. The results show the clear advance of banking concentration in several relevant markets and the evidence of market power. The CR10 index evolved from 86.8% in January 2011 to 88,5% in December 2016. The Hr statistic on the non-sacaled returns, chosen as reference for the analyzed period, indicated market power.
Para analisar a relação entre a concentração e a competição bancária, de acordo com os modelos contemporâneos da Teoria da Organização Industrial, faremos a aplicação da abordagem de Panzar-Rosse, tal como desenvolvida por Bikker, Schaffer e Spierdijk, com a definição da estatística H a partir de uma equação não-escalada de retornos. A abordagem de Panzar-Rosse foi aplicada a partir de uma amostra de dados dos bancos comerciais brasileiros de 2011 a 2016 com modelos OLS e FGLS. A base de dados começa a partir de 2011, período no qual os efeitos da longa crise de 2009 a 2010 foram esgotados no sistema bancário nacional. Antes da aplicação do modelo, o presente trabalho apresenta a revisão da literatura do tema, destacando a diversidade de abordagens para estabelecer as relações causais entre concentração e competição. Os resultados mostram o avanço claro da concentração bancária em diversos mercados relevantes e a evidência de poder de mercado. A evolução do índice CR10 saiu de 86,8% em janeiro de 2011, para 88,5% em dezembro de 2016. A estatística Hr, acerca dos retornos não escalados, escolhida como referência para o referido período, indicou poder de mercado.

La presente investigación es un acercamiento crítico a la obra filosófica de Clément Rosset (1939-2018). Mi principal intención al elaborar el presente ensayo es la de hacer una revisión a los principales conceptos y tesis que se encuentran en la obra de Rosset, como lo son lo real y lo trágico, con la finalidad de tener una mejor comprensión de la obra del filósofo francés. Ya que, hasta hora se cuenta con muy pocos trabajos acerca de Rosset y, sin embargo, sus aportaciones a la filosofía contemporánea son notables y originales. Por lo que el presente trabajo se centra en discutir la pertinencia e importancia del trabajo de Clément Rosset para la discusión filosófica actual. Para lograr los objetivos planteados el párrafo anterior el trabajo se desarrolla en tres capítulos: I. “Una bibliografía intelectual,” en este capítulo se plantea la importancia del contexto en el cual se desarrolla la obra de Rosset, así como sus principales influencias, Nietzsche y Schopenhauer. El segundo capítulo: “Lo trágico” aborda la tesis principal del presente ensayo: lo trágico es un decantador de lo real. Por lo cual, se desarrolla la idea de lo trágico comenzando con el encuentro de lo trágico y como este encuentro nos brinda una visión cruel, cruda del mundo. En el mismo capítulo se desarrolla la noción de fiesta y rito dionisíaco con el fin de establecer una analogía entre estos tiempos, la razón de esto es, como veremos dentro de las páginas del trabajo, la fiesta y el rito dionisíaco nos regalan un encuentro con lo trágico. El siguiente apartado del capítulo se centra en acotar la idea de lo trágico a partir de sus tres caracteres: lo irremediable, lo irresponsable y lo indispensable. Para finalizar el segundo capítulo se desarrolla el concepto de azar, dado que, es uno de los conceptos principales de Rosset y nos permite desarrollar con mayor profundidad la idea de lo trágico. El tercer y último capítulo desarrolla el concepto de lo real dentro de la obra de Rosset por lo cual se centra en el desarrollo de la ontología negativa propuesta por Rosset. Para lograr la comprensión de esta ontología nos centramos en la exposición de conceptos como lo insignificante, lo idiota y “el doble.” Una vez definida la idea de lo real pasamos al último concepto clave para la comprensión de la obra de Rosset, la alegría la cual definiremos como amor por lo real. Finalmente, a manera de conclusión, regresaré a abordar la tesis central del trabajo para hace notar como el encuentro con lo trágico decanta en un encuentro con lo real para brindar el paradójico sentimiento de la alegría.

El siguiente trabajo, pretende mostrar el mecanismo de la ilusión —que es una forma de duplicación— y su manifestación a través de algunas paradojas insertas tanto en la filosofía como en la vida cotidiana de los hombres. La filosofía de Clément Rosset detecta algunas de las ideas más incrustadas en el pensamiento filosófico ortodoxo, y las pone en tela de juicio, si no para demolerlas —lo cual él mismo admite, le parece imposible— sí para dar cuenta de que la ilusión, la ficción y la falsedad, son sus fundamentos. La moral, la idea de naturaleza y el yo personal, son algunas de estas ideas, que la filosofía ortodoxa, de corte metafísico ha tomado como cimiento para construir su edificio teórico; estas mismas ideas son las que la filosofía de Rosset anuncia como ilusorias. La visión trágica de Rosset es presentada aquí como una denuncia al pensamiento metafísico, a la idealización del mundo, al optimismo y al pesimismo, a la moral, a toda razón que intente justificar e interpretar la realidad desde un orden preestablecido, una llamada a aceptar lo real, el azar, tal y como se presenta, no como se desea que sea.

Original par sa production familiale d'objets d'art en ivoire et en marbre qui connut une diffusion européenne grâce aux portraits de Voltaire. Sculpteurs d'intérieur et «en petit», engagés dans le débat des Lumières, les Rosset sont aussi des statuaires comtois renommés et des peintres locaux. Le sujet est centré sur le XVIIIe siècle autour de l'œuvre de Joseph Rosset (1706-1786) âme de l'atelier, créateur de modèles réputés et que ses cinq fils, tous artistes, produiront en série avec lui et, après sa mort de manière indépendante, adaptant leur œuvre à l'évolution des goûts : Jean François alias Joseph Rosset (1734-1783) orfèvre, Jean-Joseph-Nicolas Rosset (1737-1809) prêtre et peintre, Jacques-Joseph Rosset (1741-1826), François-Marie Rosset (1743-1824) peintre voyageur en Turquie d'Asie et sculpteur et Claude-Antoine Rosset (1749-1818) peintre et sculpteur. Le volume I (265 pages). Le premier chapitre retrace l'histoire de l'atelier présent à Saint-Claude depuis le XVIe siècle, analyse le contexte du travail et la position sociale bourgeoise de la famille de Joseph Rosset au XVIIIe siècle. The subject treats originality of the workshop of sculpture of Rosset of Saint-Claude in the Jura (France) active from the XVIth until the XIX th century. Original by its family production works of art in ivory and marble which knews an European diffusion thanks to the portraits of Voltaire. Sculptors of interior and "into small", engaged in the debate of the Enlightenment, the Rosset are also famous sculptors of Franche-Comté and local painters. The subject is centered over the XVIIIth century around the work of Joseph Rosset (1706-1786) heart of the workshop, creator of famous models, whose five sons, ail artists, will produce in séries with him, and in an independent way after his death, adapting their work to the évolution of the tastes : Jean François, alias Joseph Rosset (1734-1783) goldsmith, Jean-Joseph-Nicolas Rosset (1737-1809) priest and painter, Jacques-Joseph Rosset (1741-1826), François-Marie Rosset (1743-1824) traveller painter of Turkey in Asia and sculptor, and Claude-Antoine Rosset (1749-1818) painter and sculptor. Book I. The first section relates the history of the workshop présent in Saint-Claude since the XVIth century, analyses the contex of work and the middle class social position of Rosset's family during the XVIIIth century. The second section shows in a critical way Joseph Rosset's biography, which brings out the characteristics of his Janus headed work, the sacral and the profane, picture of his believes, his catholic faith and his libéral political ideas and offers his art to the service of the Enlightenment. And then, in a third section analyses the works of his sons, in the political continuity of their father's ideals. They take part as citizen in the enforcement of the Révolution's libéral reforms. Book II introduces the reasoned catalogue of Joseph Rosset's work (1706-1786), section 1, the sacred work, section 2, the ivory work of the Rosset's Workshop and the third section the profane marble work. Book III is a reasoned catalogue of the sculpted work of his sons : section 1, the work of Jacques Rosset (1741-1826) ; section 2, the painted and sculpted work of François Rosset (1743-1824) ; section 3, the sculpted work of Antoine Rosset (1749-1818)

This thesis analyzes devolopment of profitabilty and market structure of banking sector in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. Empirical results are consistent with structure-conduct-performance hypothesis, on the other hand efficiency hypothesis seems to be unlikely. These conclusions are furthermore supported by DEA efficiency analysis. Results of non-structural Panzer-Rosse model suggest that during the period under consideration, market outcome was similar to monopolistic competiton. The results of regression analysis reveal that bank-specific variables, share of banking deposits on GDP, GDP growth and interest rates are the main drivers of banking sector profitability.

The purpose of the present article is to assess the degree of competition within the enlarged European Union (EU) commercial banking system during the period ranging from 2004 to 2011 using the non-structural test developed by Panzar and Rosse (1987). Their procedure measures the competitive environment in which financial intermediaries operate employing the sum of the elasticities of the reduced-form interest revenue with respect to factor prices. The main conclusion to retain from this study is that banking industry in the region does not seem to have operated either under perfect competition or under perfect monopoly, but rather consistently with long-run monopolistic competition. Further, we also find empirical evidence of efficiency hypothesis posted by Demestz (1973) and Peltzman (1977), as opposed to conventional view that concentration impairs price competitiveness. Finally, we underline the importance of trade off between the costs and benefits of competition to support financial stability objectives.

The Pozzolane Rosse ignimbrite [PR] (457±4 ka) in the Alban Hills Volcanic District, Rome, Italy was exposed ~ 40 ka prior to a subsequent volcanic event which coverd it entirely. XRF, XRD, and clay separation results from PR samples from INGV and CA1 boreholes and Castel di Leva quarry show evidence of paleopedogenesis. All locations display loss of base cations, loss of K is consistent with XRD datat showing dissolution or alteration of leucite to analcime. Accumulation of Al and high L.O.I. support XRD evidence of 1:1 clay species at upper depth. Data suggest alteration extent can be determined by geochemistry. Hydrothermal alteration is assessed from geochemistry showing significant leaching of major and trace elements, primary mineralogy loss and iron sulfide and sulfate mineral development. Deep samples of PR may show groundwater influenced alteration with the presence of expandable 2:1 clays, zeolites, and possible mixing with the underlying Vallerano Lava.

Neste trabalho utiliza-se como sistema dinâmico o circuito eletrônico que simula o conjunto de equações acopladas do sistema de Rössler modificado. Este sistema possui uma nâo-linearidade dada por uma função linear por partes e apresenta comportamento caótico para certos valores dos seus parâmetros. A caracterização experimental da dinâmica do sistema de Rössler modificado é realizada através do diagrama de bifurcações. Apresenta-se uma fundamentação teórica de sistemas dinâmicos introduzindo conceitos importantes tais como atratores estranhos, variedades invariantes e também uma análise da estabilidade de comportamentos assintóticos como pontos fixos e ciclos limites. Para uma caracterização métrica do caos, apresenta-se a definição dos expoentes de Lyapunov. São introduzidos também os expoentes de Lyapunov condicionais e transversais, que estão relacionados com a teoria de sincronização de sistemas caóticos. Apresenta-se também a conceituação da sincronização de sistemas caóticos, introduzindo-se a definição de sincronização idêntica, sincronização de fase e variedade de sincronização. As principais propriedades da intermitência modulacional, obtidas a partir de aplicações discretas (mapas), são apresentadas, dando-se ênfase à obtenção das leis de escala. Relatamos a nossa contribuição mais importante: a análise experimental da intermitência modulacional em dois circuitos de Rössler (osciladores eletrônicos) acoplados em uma configuração do tipo mestre-escravo. Atenção particular é devotada às leis estatísticas associadas com a intermitência modulacional.
In this work it is used as a dynamical system the electronic circuit that integrates the modified system of Rössler coupled equations. This system has a nonlinearity given by a piecewise linear function and shows chaotic behavior for certain values of the system parameters. The experimental characterization of the modified Rössler system dynamics is realized through a bifurcation diagram. It is presented a theoretical fundamentation of dynamical systems introducing important concepts like strange attractors, invariant manifolds and also a stability analysis of asymptotic behaviors like fixed points and limit cycles. For a metric characterization of chaos, the definition of the Lyapunov exponents is presented. Also introduced are the conditional and transversal Lyapunov exponents, that are related with the synchronization theory of chaotic systems. It is also presented the conceptual ideas of chaotic synchronization introducing the definitions of identical synchronization, phase synchronization and synchronization manifold. The main properties of modulational sychronization are obtained from discrete systems (maps), giving special attention to the scaling laws. We report our chief contribution: the experimental analysis of modulational intermittency in two coupled Rössler circuits (electronic oscillators) in a master-slave configuration. Particular attention is devoted to the statistical laws associated with modulational intermittency.
