Der volle Inhalt der QuelleBy the end of the 19th century, medicine overwhelmingly took hold of the homosexual phenomenon, basing itself on new findings related to psychopathology. Not only were characters physically identified thanks to a series of so-called scientific criteria, but they were also analysed through mental mapping. Although the aim of the classification of sexual behaviours was to cure rather than punish, the practices of sexual minorities were still stigmatized. As far as the judiciary system was concerned, French laws were considered to be quite lenient in so far as homosexual relationships had no longer been regarded as offences since the 1810 penal code. Nevertheless, the distorted use of the affront to public decency enabled to control people's behaviours and, by the end of the century, an increase of the trials focusing on cases of indecent exposure could be noticed. Our work, that definitely ascribes itself within the field of Gender Studies and Queer theory, is first and foremost epistemological and seeks to analyze how a body of expertise about homosexuality emerged in the second half of the 19th century, through the medical corpus that turned out to be prevalent in the studies that were conducted then, as well as through both legal and literary texts, although they were quite overlooked then. Our analyses also pertain to the history of representations, as we offer to define the aesthetics of decadence by adding a signifier: homosexuality. Finally, we also plan on scrutinizing texts by relying on three main themes that are meant to emphasize the decadent use of a homotextuality : the symbol of flowers, the figure of the androgyne and the myth of Narcissus

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleRussian literature was known until the last decade of the twentieth century for its «chasteness» and the modest way with which it approached sexual desire. It however experienced a serious upheaval in the 1990s, when Soviet censorship disappeared, and the country opened itself to market and Western liberal values. Eroticism then blossomed even in mainstream literature. But a quarter of a century later, sexual euphoria seems to have cooled down. The starting point of this study was an interrogation about how does contemporary Russian literature view sex, desire, and the rights of the flesh. It was developed along four main themes, representing fundamental concepts of the erotic tradition, which, however, take very particular shapes in the context of Russian culture, dominated by Orthodox view of the body and sexuality : thanatic Eros, on the connection between desire for life and for death, anti-procreative Eros, on the troubled relationship between sex and procreation, utopian Eros, which explores the role of sex in utopic projects, and hedonistic Eros, interested in sex outside of any utilitarian paradigm, except pleasure of the senses. We will try to evaluate how much and in what ways contemporary Russian writers still retain the traditional picture of Eros, body, and sex, how they strive to free themselves from it, and with what success. We hope that this study will contribute to foster more scholarly research on this subject, which is still quite underdeveloped in French-speaking countries

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleTo reflect upon sexuality in the works of Sade and Fourier in space and time means not only to reflect upon the works of these authors while experimenting a literary comparison opting to bring them closer together, but also to examine the aspects of similitude and exchange throughout the long historical process of oppositions and fusions. What is the relationship between utopia and historical reality? I am proposing to study the regulatory dispositions or the regime regarding sexuality, which comprises an infinite variety of rhetoric, laws, emotions, morals, linking, as Michel Foucault believed, the observable with the articulated. While the dispositions make up reality, literary utopia is to be found on the fringes. This introduction is an initial founding step in my line of reasoning. It will be important to draw some points of reference between different logical approaches, between Sade and Fourier. Without neglecting the fundamental difference, historical and sociological, between Sade and Fourier and, even independently of the forms and the discourse that each one uses (novel or social system), my concern will be to characterize the specificity of each one while trying to identify the organic links between these two visions of the same problem: the enlightened, bourgeois citizen, close to the common people, belonging fully to the 19th century, the century of “ the man without qualities”, of the pleb, and that of Sade who is the great aristocrat conscious of his privileges by birth. Fourier reasons for "the collective, the masses. " Sade, even though with his peers he forms "societies," has only in mind the individual supreme. The angles at which each one approaches the problems of pleasure, of "happiness," of a better society, are not therefore absolutely identical. Even though they sometimes meet up, they maintain points of divergence, even though they both illustrate the imagination and the utopian way of thinking that unites them

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleSince the late sixties and the "sexual liberation movements", representations of virginity have evolved. Women have struggled against this moral and cultural order governing their sexuality. However, without diminishing the importance of the meaning given to this entry into sexuality. The spread of contraception has allowed girls to free themselves from the fear of unwanted maternity. Thus, for forty years, girls and boys have started their sexuality at equivalent ages, that is to say at 17 (BRUIT-ZAIDMAN, HOUBRE, KLAPISCH-ZUBER, SCHMITT-PANTEL, 2001). Since the mid-twentieth century, there has been a privatization of the conditions of entry into sexual life. It becomes a subjective experience, structuring, surrounded by doubts and fears as to the consequences of this choice. However, it remains an important event (BOZON, 2012). Lost in this society advocating individuality, young people would no longer stable benchmarks. According to the media, teenagers have deviant sexual practices. The media believes that young people experience their entry into sexuality in a miserable way. Each year, television channels offer their audience, reports, series that show the malaise, or even the malaise of young people face their sexuality. Pornography would be part of their daily lives, they would have no form of reflexivity in front of these images and would be credulous. They would imagine this sexuality as the reality. In the same way, they would become actors of amateur pornographic production, filmed using their mobile phone. The exit from childhood would be extremely violent, torn from innocence because of this bestial and unhealthy sexuality (LEVASSEUR, 2009). It is thus necessary to deconstruct these representations of juvenile sexuality, to free oneself from these alarmist discourses, in order to understand how young people experience their first sexual experiences, but also to determine the information they have before this first time. Statistical data offer only partial information concerning the conditions of entry into the sexuality of young people (LAGRANGE, LHOMOND, 1997) (BAJOS, BOZON, 2008), hence the need to opt for a qualitative method. tying to understand the individual logics. The aim of this thesis will be to understand which are the different actors involved in the transmission of knowledge about sexuality and how these speeches can be marked by norms relating to the conditions of entry into sexuality. In this way we will be able to determine if these normative injunctions have an influence in the representations and the first adolescent sexual experiences. To answer this problematic, this thesis work is divided into two distinct parts. The first part of this thesis deals with the transmission of knowledge about sexuality. We will try to see how knowledge about the sexual field is acquired through different socialization bodies (school, family, peers). In the second part of this thesis, we will analyze the stories of first sexual experiences. We will see to what extent the normative injunctions presented in the previous section have influenced the actual sexual practices of young people. To do this, we opted for a chronological approach. The study of sexual biographies shows a constant evolution of the representations of sexuality, which is why it seems to us indispensable in the second part of this thesis to take stock of the different stages of sexual life in adolescence, of to converse theoretical knowledge, sexual imaginations and actual sexual practices

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleAs a psychologist in an EHPAD (a regulated home for dependent seniors), I became very much aware of the auxiliary nurses’ psychological sufferings. Listening to them during my team-supporting mission, I heard a recurring complaint emerge, that of an egotistical deficit of emotional and affective disinvestment and of a lack of recognition of the painfulness of their task. This has led me to hypothesize professional exhaustion. The research in this thesis therefore focuses on the burn out syndrome. It studies the complex relations between the auxiliary nurses as medico-social staff and the health manager in charge as well as between the elderly person and his/her daughter.A clinical questionnaire highlighted the depth of the subjective feeling of exhaustion while Louise Lemyre’s standardized scale highlighted the depth of the subjective feeling of stress, an operational notion in the theoretical concept of burn out.The analysis of both feelings revealed the complex relations between patient-auxiliary nurse and manager as well as between daughter-mother and grandmother. The narcissism at stake with the staff reactivates the archaic origins if child sexuality in the nursing place. A t the same time, because of the general feminization of the profession, the specificity of the feminine psyche is of foremost importance. Thanks to this notion, the research paper aims to shed a different light on the intermediary position of the manager. The status of good or bad mother figure that auxiliary nurses grant her worsens or lessens the burn out and stress.Last, this research paper further insists on the absolute necessity of permanent institutional training and of psychic elaborative work for the staff at regular intervals

First of all, mrs liao shows that television has became a massmedia because 800 millions people watch in spite of a real mediocity of its programs. As to the radio, this media is both very common and regionalised and it has been the main factor of the unification of china. Concerning the written press, it has to face the concurence of foreign papers because it has definitively lost. Its image, being a plain propaganda instrument for the c. C. P. Concerning taiwan, hong kong, macao and singapore ad all the chinese media in the other parts of the world, mrs liao writes an analysis which consists a very pragmatic description of quantitative and qualitative factors as : number of titles, number of readers, audience, explained opinions, maintenance of lectorate, radio and television programs. . . Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis work consists in studying the linguistic defreezing phenomenon. We establish three typologies of studying cases chosen from the French satirical weekly newspaper "Le Canard enchaîné". The typologies are made in three parts. The first typology is of structuralism, the second one consists in classifying the defreezing cases by transformations, the last one is a typology of three primary functions of predication. In doing so, we propose different linguistic approaches in treating the problematical defreezing phenomenon, which causes problems in teaching, comprehension and computational linguistic treatment in French

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis analyzes what remains constant and what changes in the image of Syria in the French media between the 18th century and the year 2000. This image divides in two: on the one hand, a mythic “imaginary” in literature and, on the other, a mediatized image in the print and visual press. The so-called mediatized image centers on a repressive representation of Syria under French mandate in L'Humanite and Le Figaro in 1939, date at which the sandjak of Alexandrette ceased in Turkey. Then the thesis traces the evolution of this image through the study of the cultural image of Syria in the newspaper Le Monde between 1987 and 1999. The end point of my work on the mediatized image consists of a study of the visual image or Syria on the channel Arte between 1996 and 2000. To conclude this thesis, I study the literary mythic image of Syria and the Arab world in Volney, “Voyage en Syrie et en Egypte,” Maupassant in “Allouma” and Le Clezio in “Poisson d'Or. ”
M'Hamsadji, Takia. „L'image de l'Orient arabe dans les médias américains“. Paris 7, 1987. http://www.theses.fr/1987PA070177.
Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aim of this study is to determine the characteristics of the arab stereotype in the american media and its development since the creation of the state of israel in particular. The negative image of the arab world is presented here as the inheritance of orientalism and european colonialism combined with a historical context. The arab-israeli conflict and the oil embargo have brought about a series of "misunderstandings" that strenghened the old fear of islam. The technological advance and the reign of the elctronic era have promoted the propagation of the myth of the orient and enforced an erroneous aspect of the arab civilization and history. Beyond the fixed stage of categorization and prevailing ideology, a new journalism and an awakening of the american public opinion in relation to the american policy towards the middle east have emerged since the 1970, s. This new approach is linked to a better understanding of economic and cultural interdependence between the arab nations and the united states, and to the work of a better organized arab lobby eager to cope with its jewish counterpart. The arab governments and the arab americans have set up a solid organizational structure with thye object of locating and demolishing the arab negative stereotype through an active policy of information on the arab world and an exhaustive use of teh american media. The economic prosperity of the arab orient has allowed a greater pressure to be exerted on the western countries. . .

The research has been done because of the small knowledge of the architectural vocabulary and the lack of understanding of the significance of architecture by most people. By working around thrée principal types of medias : text supports (books, magaznies and e-books), audiovisuals (the radio, the television and the cinema) and the interactif medias (networks, CD-Roms and interactif points) the presence of the subject "architecture " is analyzed in a vast corpus. A close look at the educational role that the medias should play is done by running an analysis of the sort and the amount of architectural knowledge that is transmitted and the advantages and inconvenients of the informationnal supports used

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe aim of this study is to reconstruct the representations of animal sexual behaviour in the ancient zoologies. To this end, we have defined a corpus of Greek and Latin texts, consisting of Aristotle's zoological treatises (mainly "History of Animals" and "Generation of Animals"), Varro's "On Agriculture", Columella's "On Agriculture", Pliny the Elder's "Natural History", Plutarch's treatises on animals (mainly "On the Cleverness of Animals" and "Whether Beasts Are Rational"), Elian's "On the Characteristics of Animals", Oppian of Cilicia's "Halieutica" and Oppian of Apamea's "Cynegetica". In Antiquity, animal sexuality was often presented as the expression of an original sexuality opposed to that of humans, which was described as morally and socially constructed or even perverted. Animals are invoked as a reference model, a 'touchstone', to measure human behaviours against a homogenous pattern that is considered to be intact. However, the sexual behaviour of animals is characterised by a considerable diversity, which is too poorly taken into account by this approach. Nonetheless, this diversity is well attested in ancient zoological texts. In our study, we wanted to go beyond the simplistic and idealised doxa of a naïve animal sexuality, by paying special attention to the particular and specific practices attested by passages which describe animals sexual behaviours as such and not just as a mirror of human sexuality. If we avoid these biases of interpretation, we can see that our sources attribute behaviours that are very often considered to be purely cultural and human to other animals, such as sexuality for recreational purposes. The first part of the thesis deals with reproduction. The different anatomical configurations linked to sexual differentiation and the different mating positions are considered here. This first part concludes with a theoretical section devoted to the question of the ideological use of animal sexuality in Antiquity. The passages highlighted here do not focus specifically on animals, but mention their sexuality as a source of exempla for humans. The second part, on the other hand, looks at all the sexual practices generally dismissed or denied by an ideological view of animal sexuality. Several passages depict non-human animals as desiring beings who can seek pleasure, in a dynamic reminiscent of the manifestations of human sexual desire and expressed in a common vocabulary. The texts cover a range of behaviours, from monogamy to homosexual practices, without excluding interspecific relationships, which can prove fertile. The third part deals with behaviours that the sources themselves present as excessive, first and foremost incest. In addition, certain sexual acts are associated with various forms of violence. Desire can also drive individuals to act against reproduction itself: this is the case with animals that try to free themselves from their offspring in order to mate. This reflection on animal sexuality has been enriched by an interdisciplinary approach combining literary criticism and philology with methodologies and reflections borrowed from anthropology, ethology, sexuality studies and Animal Studies

Der volle Inhalt der Quelle62 non-interpreter participants and 7 interpreter participants listened to 16 different extracts of interpretations that had been initially broadcast either on TV or on the web. The participants commented and rated these recordings. Non-interpreters’ comments tend to show that the interpretation “works”, i.e. it seems to carry the speaker’s message across and does not constitute an obstacle. Comments tend to focus on form rather than content. Non-interpreters seem to pay attention to quality parameters which already feature in the literature (in particular intonation and fluidity) but also to some (supra)parameters which have rarely been studied so far: the balance between the sound levels of the original speech and its interpretation; the way the speaker is portrayed through the interpretation; and the way emotion in the source speech is conveyed in the interpretation. None of the individual parameters identified in the present study turned out to have a clear-cut, major influence on overall quality assessment. The present thesis studies not only individual quality parameters but also interactions between them. In particular, perceptions of form and content seem to be closely linked, and listeners’ trust seems to be determined by a number of both form- and content-related parameters. Some differences between the two groups of participants emerge. Interpreters seem more sensitive to wording. False errors were flagged up only by non-interpreters. Non-interpreters seem to listen to the speaker’s message first and foremost; their reactions to the interpretation itself tend to come later, if at all

Understanding trending content and its dynamics is crucial to the explanation of opinion spreading, and to the design of social marketing strategies. While previous research has mostly focused on trending content and on the network structure of individuals in social media, this work complements these studies by exploring in depth the human factors behind the generation of this content. We build upon this analysis to investigate new personalization tools helping individuals to discover interesting social media content. This work contributes to the literature on the following aspects: an in depth analysis on individuals who create trending content in social media that uncovers their distinguishing characteristics; a novel means to identify trending content by relying on the ability of special individuals who create them; a mechanism to build a recommender system to personalize trending content; and techniques to improve the quality of recommendations beyond the core theme of accuracy. Our studies underline the vital role of special users in the creation of trending content in social media. Thanks to such special users and their ``wisdom'', individuals may discover the trending content distilled to their tastes. Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe ease of publishing content on social media sites brings to the Web an ever increasing amount of user generated content captured during, and associated with, real life events. Social media documents shared by users often reflect their personal experience of the event. Hence, an event can be seen as a set of personal and local views, recorded by different users. These event records are likely to exhibit similar facets of the event but also specific aspects. By linking different records of the same event occurrence we can enable rich search and browsing of social media events content. Specifically, linking all the occurrences of the same event would provide a general overview of the event. In this dissertation we present a content-based approach for leveraging the wealth of social media documents available on the Web for event identification and characterization. To match event occurrences in social media, we develop a new visual-based method for retrieving events in huge photocollections, typically in the context of User Generated Content. The main contributions of the thesis are the following : (1) a new visual-based method for retrieving events in photo collections, (2) a scalable and distributed framework for Nearest Neighbors Graph construction for high dimensional data, (3) a collaborative content-based filtering technique for selecting relevant social media documents for a given event

On the basis of pluri-methodological and comparative ground investigations, this dissertation proposes to question the forms of mediatic politisation or depolitization of the homeless persons, the illegals immigrants and the unemployed people causes, in the context of the neoliberal and repressive evolutions of the Welfare state. While applying from a critical point of view the framing analysis perspective, this research opens with a range of topics returning as well to the contemporary transformations of the practices of journalism or the militancy as to the effects of media information on the audience

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleFantasy is not a fundamental concept of psychoanalysis. However, from experience, it can be said that it is the psychoanalytic object. We have followed freud's method by referring the study of this object to the theory of dream, i. E. To what freud consuiders as being the most definitily acquired. Dream and fantasy: two terms compared to a third one which is the stage. In dreams, it is another stage ("ein andere schauplatz") meaning place. On this stage, back stage, scenes ("szenen") are revealed: infantile sexual scenes. Dreams, sexuality, infantile, scene, are thus articulated. Light is thrown on this articulation, from a structural viewpoint, by contrasting: what place or did not take place in terms of topos, and what took place or did not take place in terms of avent. It is therefore a matter of place and a matter of time, and also a matter of being, that we defined together with j. Lacan as "being-for-sex". Here, we are faced with the dimension of writing

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe multiculturalism which characterises Lebanese advertising in the written press, is a mixture of Lebanese identity (innately Arabic) with distinctive western influences. This advertising conveys symbols belonging to Lebanese culture as well as those understood worlwide. The usage is mainly French, to a lesser extent English and rather less Arabic. It therefore mirrors the multilingual capability of Lebanese citizens. In eliminating social, cultural and religious differences, it reflects an image solely of an upper class. It displays a westernised style of living as much as a Lebanese one, while showing characters and settings with specific Lebanese reference. Given the particular wording of lebanese advertisements, a dialectic is established between that language and the universal language used for publicity

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleRecourse to established, illustrative and idiomatic expressions is a standard feature of journalistic discourse on television. The use of phrasemes is text-sort specific and provides added thematic reference to the relevant topic under discussion. In television journalism, the bilingual, French-German public affairs program Arte-Info is exceptional due to a particular feature of its journalistic format. Individual images are accompanied by to sound and, above all, linguistic tracks. Given this bilingual quality, variuos issues related to the program's inter-lingual format arise (translation and interpreting procedure, source and target language, orientation toward two linguistic communities, etc. ). What effects do these factors have on the production of the linguistic discourse? This study has been organized according to three parameters of analysis: parameter one concerns the specifics of the various sorts of texts; parameter two is addressed to the framing context of the entire discourse; the third parameter deals with the specifics of thematic reference

Before this general and increasing degradation, Ken Bugul and Calixthe Beyala wonder about writing evolution and adaptation, about African writers mission in current period. These preoccupations define two interests : The « women » subject (through the feminine sexuality and emancipation) and African Policy (through updating postcolonial literature). This work consist in analysing the scriptural treatments of these main themes in the works of Ken Bugul and Calixthe Beyala between 1983 (The crazy baobab of Ken Bugul) and 2006 (The golden piece, of the same author)

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe purpose of this thesis is on the scrupulous study of the "problem of the identity and the sex in the works of colette", which is considered from the point of view of the writing about the body. The methodology that i have used in this thesis follows the thematic of jean pierre richard. The aim of the present thesis is not to give an anthropology of imaginary but to have the themes' analysis benefit by the remarks on the structure of the text, as well as to enlight the contribution of the psychoanalysis. After having defined the differnts strategics of the obliteration and of the absence of the body, this thesis examines the complex relations that the feminity and the other maintain, as well as the particular state of the motherly body. The last part of this thesis deals with the central question of the sexual incertitude posed by the works of colette. In the works of colette, the essentiel fact is that the sex represents the basis and the masquerade. This thesis follows the mouvements of the dramaturgy of the desire, the windings unforeseen of the writing in the mouvement even of that's fantastic adventure

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThe representations of “body” and “sexuality” that can be drawn respectively from the religious discourses of Greek Orthodoxy and Roman Catholicism, illustrate the different conceptualizations of these issues that highlight the divergent construction and functioning of “normativity” within the two religious cultures. The comparative diachronic study of the respective systematizations, theological on one hand, and “juridical-canonical” on the other hand, leads to the conclusion that there is a profound “anthropological difference” between these two confessions, in spite of their common belonging to the «family» of the Christian religion. This profound divergence which represents, in reality, a different Worldview [“Weltanschauung”] as well as a different conception of the human being, gets a concrete expression after the significant changes that shaped Roman Catholicism from the 12th century onwards in the Latin West; more specifically, after the double transition operated, on one hand, from the Canon Law of primitive Christianity (“jus antiquum”) to the new canonical science (“jus canonicum”) and, on the other hand, from the « Theology of the Fathers » to the Scholastic theology – the big synthesis of theology and philosophy that took place from the 13th century onwards. All these significant transformations had far-reaching and fundamental consequences thereof, and contributed to the progressive shaping of a new sexual moral code, as well as to a new understanding of marriage and the « conjugal act », breaking off radically with the conceptual schemes and the theological and canonical Tradition that marked the era of the « undivided [Christian] Church »

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThose undergoing colonization, surviving pre-independence turmoil, and profiting from the colonizer’s withdrawal by adopting its models, are not looking for an identity. Yet those who are not adaptable, blind to opportunity, or old, are prone to reject models requiring giving up clothing or other such aspects of tradition which, they believe, would grant them a sense of identity – if only their community became homogenous again. The pitiful protagonist in ʿAmal-fil (Year of the Elephant), by Morrocan author Laylā Abū Zayd, and three of the four aged protagonists in ʿUššāq Bayya (The Lovers of Bayya), by Tunisian author Al-Sālimī, have a fear of cultural pollution so acute that they make themselves even sicker than they already were, especially when it comes to money which “rots everything”. Zahra is neither softhearted nor sensuous, and her marriage is brought to an end when her suddenly rich husband takes a lover; and the other three secretly nurture a sexual fantasy about the same woman while the son of the fourth, a visiting émigré who grew rich in Germany, decides to marry her. Zahra eventually turns to God to assure a place for herself in heaven whereas the old men agonize in the dread of hell. By dismissing this fear before they die, the two men who had the easiest youth point to the nature of genuine alterity in their community. It is the perversity of a tradition validated by terrifying religious beliefs, which prevents friendships among adolescent boys and girls, then marries them off with no consideration for their tastes and aptitudes, and then invites the men to brutalize wife and children in compensation. Since very few ever recover from their childhood, the cycle starts again and the tradition survives

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleThis thesis studies the discourses and the strategies of the media when reporting armed conflicts. The comparison between the Israeli-Palistinian and the Northern-Irish conflicts enable us to analyze the nature of the discourses produced by the political actors and by the media, and to foresee their potential evolution with the development of the internet. In situations of armed crisis, State and media logics tend to tighten in the name of a democratic consensus against the authors of the violence. However, the media representations sometimes get loose from the official discourse of the State, in order to keep the freedom of information. This alternative must be rethought with the broadening of the use of the internet by various actors of the conflicts. The specificity of its technical device invites the actors of the conflicts to seize this media in discursive logics, if not new, at least different from those of the traditional media. The hypertextual and multimodal nature of the discourses which the political actors offer on internet thus implies to rethink the discursive strategies, traditionally in work, and the connections between media and actors in the situations of conflict

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIn France, neo-liberalism became dominant in the political sphere in the early 1980s. However, to the defender of neo-liberalism, there is still one last goal : to get public opinion to endorse neo-liberalism as well. The general media, which is able to influence our perceptions and our preferences, can play an important role in that respect. This thesis presents four monographs analyzing the media's discourse on neo-liberalism in the past two decades: the first monographs analyzing the media's discourse on neo-liberalism in the past two decades : the first monograph treats of the media coverage of the Paris Mont Pèlerin meeting in 1984; the second monograph deals with the way the French newspaper "Le Monde" covered the bicentennial of the French Revolution between 1987 and 1989; the third monograph examines the same newspaper's coverage of the opening up of France Telecom's capital in 1997; finally, the last monograph looks at the way "Les Grandes Gueules", a radio show broadcasted on RMC, elaborated a neo-liberalism discourse over the fall of 2006

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleIdeas on/of poietic processes and aesthetic objects, that sprouted in my paintings (reproduced in catalogues) and in my notes (carnets) dealing with painting, were implicated in conversations and elaborated in essais the frames of freudian and lacanian psychoanalytic theory. Painting doesn't dissolve into theory; it produces theory. Thinking art in psychoanalytic terms is inseparable from rethinking sexual difference, since we enter art in psychoanalysis by way of sexuality: by libido, part-objects, affects and jouissance on the psychic archaic sphere, as well as by trauma, phantasm or desire. Through the experience of painting, a feminine difference diffracts in/from art, sketching nonphallic zone i have called matrixial. The matrix indicates an unconscious borderspace of co-emergence and co-fading of the / and the non-i that is neither fused nor rejected. Links between several partial subjects co-emerging in transformation, in differentiation and in rapports-without-relating, and their connections with shared objects interlace a difference based on "webbing" of borderlinks towards jouissance, trauma and phantasm, all three related to feminine desire and to the female bodily invisible specificity - the womb. These borderlinks are traced to in-form meanings of "severality", fragmentation and shareability. The matrix as a sexual difference is a referent in the real, an imaginary support and a concept indicting an apparatus with its processes of passage which differ from "castration" and do not correspond to the paternal interdiction of incest. The matrixial potentialities open aesthetic spaces. I termed: metramorphosis the processes of conductivity and transmissibility between partialsubjects and between them and part-objects. The metramorphosis is carried via borderlinks that transform intra-psychic and inter-subjective borderlines into thresholds towards trans-subjectivity. It disperses, conducts and transmits diffuse and hybrid matrixial gaze, and readjusts the elements' distance-in-proximity. The metramorphosis is a passage composed of borderlinks which simultaneously but differently transform the co-emerging elements. It is also a passage composed of borderlines that are becoming thresholds, between elements of the subject and the object, between the subject and the other, and between the subject and the thing. Through its metramorphic mechanisms, the ma

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleSocial media have greatly modified the way we produce, diffuse and consume information, and have become powerful information vectors. The goal of this thesis is to help in the understanding of the information diffusion phenomenon in social media by providing means of modeling and analysis.First, we propose MABED (Mention-Anomaly-Based Event Detection), a statistical method for automatically detecting events that most interest social media users from the stream of messages they publish. In contrast with existing methods, it doesn't only focus on the textual content of messages but also leverages the frequency of social interactions that occur between users. MABED also differs from the literature in that it dynamically estimates the period of time during which each event is discussed rather than assuming a predefined fixed duration for all events. Secondly, we propose T-BASIC (Time-Based ASynchronous Independent Cascades), a probabilistic model based on the network structure underlying social media for predicting information diffusion, more specifically the evolution of the number of users that relay a given piece of information through time. In contrast with similar models that are also based on the network structure, the probability that a piece of information propagate from one user to another isn't fixed but depends on time. We also describe a procedure for inferring the latent parameters of that model, which we formulate as functions of observable characteristics of social media users. Thirdly, we propose SONDY (SOcial Network DYnamics), a free and extensible software that implements state-of-the-art methods for mining data generated by social media, i.e. the messages published by users and the structure of the social network that interconnects them. As opposed to existing academic tools that either focus on analyzing messages or analyzing the network, SONDY permits the joint analysis of these two types of data through the analysis of influence with respect to each detected event. The experiments, conducted on data collected on Twitter, demonstrate the relevance of our proposals and shed light on some properties that give us a better understanding of the mechanisms underlying information diffusion. First, we compare the performance of MABED against those of methods from the literature and find that taking into account the frequency of social interactions between users leads to more accurate event detection and improved robustness in presence of noisy content. We also show that MABED helps with the interpretation of detected events by providing clearer textual description and more precise temporal descriptions. Secondly, we demonstrate the relevancy of the procedure we propose for estimating the pairwise diffusion probabilities on which T-BASIC relies. For that, we illustrate the predictive power of users' characteristics, and compare the performance of the method we propose to estimate the diffusion probabilities against those of state-of-the-art methods. We show the importance of having non-constant diffusion probabilities, which allows incorporating the variation of users' level of receptivity through time into T-BASIC. We also study how -- and in which proportion -- the social, topical and temporal characteristics of users impact information diffusion. Thirdly, we illustrate with various scenarios the usefulness of SONDY, both for non-experts -- thanks to its advanced user interface and adapted visualizations -- and for researchers -- thanks to its application programming interface

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWe will try all along this thesis to lift the veil on the vague aspects of a complex industry: medias, in a country with an even more complex political and economic environment: China. After defining de concept of media convergence, we will see what are its different forms in the Middle Kingdom in comparison with Western countries. We will explain the reasons why China is naturally taking its own path and not necessarily following the Western models, especially in the media industry. We will then show how the convergence influences one industry in particular: the film industry; how all the links of the value chain from investment to production and distribution are affected by the constant evolution of the new media technologies and how they merge with each other. By reviewing the different laws and other instructions that are supposed to rule the film media industry, but also by analyzing the complex flows between China and the rest of the world that the government tries to control, we will show how much is at stake in this huge market. We will present the main actors of this convergence in China comparing them particularly with the American giant Netflix. How these internet giants transform today’s film industry? This is the question we will try to answer all along this research
