The fashion and textile industry is one of the largest business segment in the world. However, this segment has been the subject of ethics, aesthetics and environmental criticism, especially so-called "fast fashion", a high-speed production system, integrated with information technology, which manages releases, sales, inventory and manufacturing clothes, turning datasheets of garments in a finished product within points of sale in a few days. The fast fashion phemomenon settled in the fashion industry in the last decades of the twentieth century as a result of the dynamics of global capitalism in search of lower cost and reduced production, time, space, distribution and sale. The fast fashion, however, has been socially criticised as it?s based on precarious work and promoting hyper consumption which leads to quick disposal of clothing, consumption of natural resources at breakneck scale and also the standardization of the body and spread a subtle homogenization of the appearance, promoted by the fashion media. The research has mapped and analysed the relationship between fashion and social criticism, with emphasis on appearance, construction and current settings of the ethical criticism and aesthetics to fast fashion. It has also mapped and analysed some answers that the market has given to such criticism, as well as alternative proposals built by various social groups, in particular the slow fashion movement: its concept, ideas and production proposals, consumption and engagement. From the politicization of consumption and macro trends that are configured as a socio-cultural background of the fashion consumption trends, we see the various forms of expression of these criticisms and seek to understand its incorporation into the market. For this, we rely on the theoretical framework of Boltanski and Chiapello (2009), which considers the incorporation of criticism as necessary to the moral justification of capitalism and its maintenance. The results indicate that the criticisms are expressed and are incorporated by fashion design professional, in consumption practices. in the pursuit of sustainable business forms, creating value associated with the shared economy, the adoption of Corporate Social Responsibility, in changes in production processes and the use of lower-impact materials. We also verified that as a way of incorporating criticism as a counterpoint to the hegemonic practices of production and consumption, the movement "slow fashion" proposes not only deceleration time of production and consumption of clothes, but also empowerment and political activism in the area of fashion design. In conclusion, the research identified as a response to criticism, the existence of changes in the sector and the growing ethicization fashion.
A moda e a ind?stria t?xtil constituem um dos maiores segmentos de neg?cios do mundo. Associadas simbioticamente, chamamos este campo de ind?stria da moda. O segmento vem sendo alvo de cr?ticas ?ticas, est?ticas e ambientais. Estas cr?ticas se dirigem, principalmente, ao que tem sido chamado de ?moda r?pida?, ou fast fashion, um sistema de produ??o de alta velocidade, integrado ?s tecnologias de informa??o, que gerencia lan?amentos, vendas, estoques e manufatura de roupas, transformando fichas t?cnicas de pe?as de vestu?rio em um produto acabado dentro de pontos de venda em poucos dias. O fast fashion ? uma consequ?ncia das din?micas do capitalismo global em busca do menor custo, em um menor espa?o de tempo de fabrica??o, distribui??o e venda, baseando-se em trabalho prec?rio (muitas vezes em condi??es an?logas ? escravid?o), na promo??o do hiperconsumo e do descarte r?pido de roupas e, consequentemente, do consumo de recursos naturais em escala vertiginosa, com impactos ambientais de grande extens?o, e, ainda, na padroniza??o do corpo e na difus?o de uma sutil homogeneiza??o do parecer, promovida pelas m?dias de moda. Tais pr?ticas se estabeleceram na moda nas ?ltimas d?cadas do s?culo XX como consequ?ncia das transforma??es do capitalismo global. A presente pesquisa mapeou e analisou as rela??es entre a moda e a cr?tica, o surgimento, a constru??o e as atuais configura??es da cr?tica ?tica e est?tica ao fast fashion e as respostas que o mercado vem dando ?s mesmas, assim como as propostas alternativas constru?das por segmentos do mercado, em especial, o movimento ?moda lenta?, ou slow fashion: seu conceito, ideias e propostas de produ??o, consumo e engajamento. A partir da an?lise da politiza??o do consumo e das macrotend?ncias, que se configuram como um pano de fundo sociocultural ?s tend?ncias de consumo, verificamos a express?o destas cr?ticas e sua incorpora??o pelo corpo social; identificamos a? uma chave explicativa para a incorpora??o das cr?ticas pelo mercado de moda, corroborando com o quadro te?rico de Boltanski e Chiapello (2009), que entende a incorpora??o das cr?ticas como necess?ria ? justifica??o moral do capitalismo e sua manuten??o. Os resultados indicaram que tanto o corpo social quanto o mercado expressam e incorporam as cr?ticas nas pr?ticas de consumo de moda; na busca por formas de novos neg?cios sustent?veis; na cria??o de valor associado ? economia compartilhada; na ado??o da Responsabilidade Socioambiental Empresarial e da ?tica nos neg?cios; nas altera??es em processos produtivos; e no uso de mat?rias primas menos impactante. Verificamos tamb?m que, como incorpora??o das cr?ticas e como contraponto ?s pr?ticas hegem?nicas de produ??o e consumo, o movimento slow fashion prop?e n?o apenas a desacelera??o do tempo de produ??o e consumo de roupas, mas tamb?m um empoderamento e ativismo pol?tico na ?rea do design de moda, tanto na produ??o quanto no consumo. A pesquisa identificou a exist?ncia de altera??es no setor em fun??o da incorpora??o das cr?ticas, em especial a crescente eticiza??o da moda.

O conceito de biopol?tica (ou biopoder) apareceu, no pensamento pol?tico de Foucault, como conclus?o de suas pesquisas em torno da genealogia dos micropoderes disciplinares notadamente no que se refere ? sua obra Vigiar e Punir (1975) e aos cursos no Coll?ge de France na primeira metade dos anos de 1970 principalmente no curso Em Defesa da Sociedade (1975-1976) e no ?ltimo cap?tulo de sua obra Hist?ria da Sexualidade I: A Vontade de Saber (1976), Direito de Morte e Poder Sobre a Vida. Nestas obras, a biopol?tica ? desenvolvida em oposi??o ao poder soberano de vida e de morte. J? nos cursos Seguran?a, Territ?rio, Popula??o (1977-1978) e Nascimento da Biopol?tica (1978-1979), Foucault desenvolve o conceito de biopol?tica articulandoo ? genealogia do Estado moderno. O interesse de pesquisa de Foucault volta-se, agora, ao estudo das modernas economias de mercado do p?s-guerra, em particular do Ordoliberalismo alem?o e do neoliberalismo americano da Escola de Chicago e sua Teoria do Capital Humano, com o intuito de perceber a reformula??o da quest?o da biopol?tica nos marcos da governamentalidade neoliberal. Minha tese, nesse sentido, quer apontar para tr?s elementos centrais das an?lises desenvolvidas por Michel Foucault em torno da rela??o entre genealogia, biopol?tica e liberalismo. (a) Uma das caracter?sticas fundamentais do neoliberalismo ? uma crescente economiza??o dos processos relacionados ? vida dos indiv?duos e das popula??es: trata-se, sobretudo, da aplica??o generalizada da grade econ?mica a outros fen?menos da vida social (a quest?o da criminalidade, da educa??o, da engenharia gen?tica, etc.) que n?o meramente fen?menos econ?micos. (b) O problema da liberdade, justamente porque a liberdade ? um elemento fundamental do exerc?cio do poder pol?tico, da governamentalidade neoliberal: o neoliberalismo ? produtor de liberdades, na medida em que ele necessita delas para o bom funcionamento da economia de mercado; em compensa??o e aqui reside seu paradoxo, ele cria mecanismos de gest?o dessa mesma liberdade, nomeados por Foucault como mecanismos de seguran?a. O paradoxo est? em que, ao mesmo tempo que o liberalismo produz certo n?mero de liberdade, ele ? obrigado a criar mecanismos que bloqueiam essas mesmas liberdades. (c) O indiv?duo, segundo a ?tica neoliberal, ? pensado essencialmente enquanto homo oeconomicus, enquanto indiv?duo competitivo e produtor: e, por isso, o processo de subjetiva??o e de socializa??o dos indiv?duos, conforme nosso entendimento, ? perpassado fundamentalmente pela din?mica da racionalidade econ?mica.

The purpose of this dissertation is to present some reasoning which support the idea of the existence of two philosophical postures characterized by Spinoza?s Theological-Political Treatise and Spinoza?s Ethics. The posture of the Treatise is a result of a civic effort of secularization pertinent to seventeenth-century. The main purpose is to promote the institutional protection of some liberties, which we identify as a liberal policy. The posture of Ethics is related to an individual effort of rational elevation. It is the result of a reasoaning that sees the desire as the human essence itself, and because of this and other reasons such as the appreciation of the body, the monism, the reflections of values and virtues without make use of transcendences, the work is identified as libertine. The purpose that guides the tree chapters of this dissertation is to show how this two books contribute to a philosophical posture which is not separated in a project of immanent philosophy. The first chapter presents the philosopher and his work in complex historical and political context, showing the fragility and the power of that time. Specially in Holland, the seventeenth-century was a very important time to the construction of the modern political thinking. To understand this, we approached some factors which have influenced the free-thinkers of that time and the tension between them and the religious authorities. The second chapter approaches some concepts and reasonings tha are fundamentally extracted from the firsts books of Ethics. The development of some questions of the third chapter depends on the approach of some subjects with the support of the conceptual web elaborated by the philosopher. The critic about the finalist thinking was the way choosen to lead to the reasonings that will be presented. To understand this critics, we tried to develop the concept of power, which is fundamental to the elaboration of the immanence plan. This issue is quite relevant, because we find in Spinoza the idea that the way the reality is seen and organized interferes in our comprehension power of things, and with it, interferes in the way men proceed. The concept of power goes through discussions about ontology and politics in a very peculiar way on spinozist thought. Having this in mind, we will lead the discussion about the power to modal level issues, in other words, issues about conatus as essence of finite modal (human) and the passion web in wich it is submited. The goal of the 3rd chapter is to present what Spinoza shows his liberal proposal of political conduction. Besides we direct our attention to books IV and V of Ethics. First, we show the possibility of institutional liberty seen by the philosopher and, after this, we explain how the Ethics point to a kind of liberty that can?t be obtained by another way unless by the individual effort of searching knowledge and virtue, which we identify as the libertin ethics
O objetivo dessa disserta??o ? apresentar alguns racioc?nios que apoiem a ideia de que existe, na filosofia de Bento de Espinosa, duas posturas filos?ficas caracterizadas nas obras Tratado Teol?gico-Pol?tico e ?tica. A postura do Tratado ? fruto de um esfor?o c?vico de seculariza??o pr?prio ao s?culo XVII. O principal objetivo da obra ? promover a prote??o institucional de certas liberdades, que identificamos como uma pol?tica liberal. A postura da ?tica ? pr?pria de um esfor?o ?ntimo de eleva??o racional. Isso ? fruto de um pensamento que v? o desejo como a pr?pria ess?ncia humana e, por esses e outros motivos tais como a valoriza??o do corpo, o monismo, a reflex?o de valores e virtudes sem recorrer a transcend?ncias, ? identificado como uma ?tica libertina. O objetivo que orienta os tr?s cap?tulos dessa disserta??o ? mostrar como essas duas obras articulam duas posturas filos?ficas que n?o se separam dentro de um projeto de filosofia imanente. O primeiro cap?tulo situa o fil?sofo e sua obra dentro de um complexo contexto hist?rico e pol?tico, mostrando a situa??o delicada e o poder daquele per?odo. O s?culo XVII, especialmente na Holanda, foi um per?odo de grande import?ncia para a forma??o do pensamento pol?tico moderno. Para compreender essa import?ncia, abordamos alguns fatores que influenciaram os livres-pensadores da ?poca e a tens?o entre eles e as autoridades religiosas. O segundo cap?tulo aborda alguns conceitos e racioc?nios fundamentalmente extra?dos dos primeiros livros da ?tica. O desenvolvimento do terceiro cap?tulo depende da abordagem de alguns temas com o apoio da teia conceitual elaborada pelo fil?sofo. A cr?tica que Espinosa faz ao pensamento finalista foi o caminho escolhido para conduzir os racioc?nios que ser?o apresentados. Para compreender essa cr?tica, desenvolvemos o conceito de pot?ncia, que ? fundamental para a constru??o do pensamento imanente espinosista. Essa quest?o ? muito relevante, pois encontramos em Espinosa a ideia de que a forma como a realidade ? compreendida e organizada interfere na nossa pot?ncia de compreender os modos e, com isso, interfere no modo de proceder dos homens. O conceito de pot?ncia atravessa as discuss?es sobre ontologia e pol?tica de forma muito singular no pensamento espinosista. Tendo isso em vista, conduziremos a discuss?o acerca da pot?ncia para as quest?es do n?vel modal, ou seja, para a quest?o da persevera??o como ess?ncia do modo finito homem e a teia afetiva ? qual ele est? submetido. O objetivo do terceiro cap?tulo ? expor o que Espinosa apresenta ao final do Tratado Teol?gico-Pol?tico, que ? onde ele apresenta de forma mais direta sua liberal proposta de condu??o pol?tica. Al?m disso, tamb?m direcionaremos nossa aten??o aos livros IV e V da ?tica. Primeiro, mostraremos a possibilidade de liberdade institucional enxergada pelo fil?sofo e, depois, mostraremos como a ?tica aponta para um tipo de liberdade que n?o pode ser alcan?ada por outro meio que n?o seja o esfor?o individual de buscar conhecimento e virtude.

Der volle Inhalt der QuelleWith the purpose to present the philosophic transition from theoretical freedom to practical freedom in Kant, this text is centered in Critique of pure reason (Transcedental Dialectic, above all) and in Critique of practical reason. Trying to overcome a reading that reduces the purposes of the first Critique to the delimitation of the possible knowledge, it s an intention to demonstrate the transcendental naturality such as the systematic relevance that the metaphysic ideas assume already in theoretical philosophy. Then, the discussion focus the concept of transcendental freedom, that presents as not contradictory for the speculative reason, what can be thought without contradicting the rigorous natural laws. Pacifying the conflict between spontaneous causality (free) and the phenomenal causality (determinate), so the conditions to the edification in practical circuit, by means of the possibility of an unconditioned dominion, secured by the theoretical freedom are visualized. In this sense, in spite of the self-sufficiency of the Kant s practical philosophy, it isn t indifferent about the results achieved by the theoretical reason, because it s through these effects that the moral enterprise receives investigative legitimacy. On the other hand, so far as the moral law reality presents as a factum of the reason, besides the evidence of the practical range, the own negative freedom concept assumes a positive reality. If the practical reality of the moral law is demonstrated, so the objective reality of the freedom is equally confirmed, because the freedom is the basic condition for morality. Then, the transition from the first to the second Critique reveals the philosophic importance of the freedom concept, as to satisfy the speculative reason as to edify the project of the practical reason, taking care with the systematic linkage of both dominions.
Com o prop?sito de apresentar a transi??o filos?fica da liberdade te?rica ? liberdade pr?tica em Kant, a presente disserta??o centra-se na Cr?tica da raz?o pura (Dial?tica Transcendental, sobretudo) e na Cr?tica da raz?o pr?tica. Na tentativa de superar uma leitura que reduz o escopo da primeira Cr?tica ? delimita??o do conhecimento poss?vel, pretende-se demonstrar a naturalidade transcendental bem como a relev?ncia sistem?tica que as ideias metaf?sicas assumem j? na filosofia te?rica. A partir da?, a discuss?o enfoca o conceito de liberdade transcendental, o qual se apresenta como n?o contradit?rio para a raz?o especulativa, podendo ser pensado sem contradizer as rigorosas leis naturais. Ao apaziguar o conflito entre uma causalidade espont?nea (livre) e a causalidade fenom?nica (determinada), visualizam-se as condi??es para a edifica??o do ?mbito pr?tico, mediante a possibilidade de um dom?nio incondicionado, assegurado pela liberdade te?rica. Neste sentido, a despeito da autossufici?ncia da filosofia pr?tica kantiana, a mesma n?o ? indiferente aos resultados alcan?ados pela raz?o te?rica, pois ? atrav?s destes que o empreendimento moral ganha legitimidade investigativa. This thesis presents a tool that assists in the development of timed systems, giving users simulation and verification capacities to guarantee timing properties in computer programs. The IOA Toolkit, a toolset for developing distributed systems, is extended to permit time-dependant properties to be described using a subset of the Timed IOA (TIOA) language. This thesis also includes a translator from TIOA into UPPAAL, another toolset. This translator allows the simulation of IOA and TIOA programs in UPPAAL's easy-to-use interface, and the checking of their properties with UPPAAL's model checker. This thesis lays the framework for an extension of the toolkit to utilize the full TIOA language, and to allow composed automata to be simulated. A scheme for translating composed automata into UPPAAL is also presented.

This master?s dissertation has as principal goal to question the existance of a police dispositive, that operationalizes throught the subjectivation and the desubjectivation of individuals and places itself far beyond the modern police institution, affecting not only the operators, in general, of the criminal system, but also the social relations. To confirm this hypothesis, the search initially focus on the Brazilian criminal system and it contemporary double frame, trying to trace, not only the pulsing mass encarceration since the end of the XX century, but also the state crimes against the black and poor population. Furthermore, other goal is to question about the emergency of the modern police, liking it with elementary features of its activities, as well to trace the birth and development of the Brazilian police, not forgetting to localize it on the exception paradigm of Giorgio Agamben, in other words, displacins from a contractualist vision of its activities and showing that Brazilian police are linked both to a fouding and to a conservative violence, spectral quintessentially. Thus, from the police, institution that concetrates the security power in modern democracies, is that seeks to think what represents a police dispositive in power relations and which are the possible interminglings of its crossings.
O presente trabalho vincula-se ? linha de pesquisa Viol?ncia, Crime e Seguran?a P?blica, do Programa de P?s-Gradua??o em Ci?ncias Criminais da Pontif?cia Universidade Cat?lica do Rio Grande do Sul. A pesquisa tem como objetivo interrogar a exist?ncia de um dispositivo policial, o qual operacionaliza-se atrav?s da subjetiva??o e dessubjetiva??o dos indiv?duos e se coloca para muito al?m da institui??o policial moderna, afetando n?o s? os operadores do sistema penal em geral, mas tamb?m as pr?prias rela??es na sociedade. Para confirmar tal hip?tese, a investiga??o se foca inicialmente no sistema penal brasileiro e sua dupla face contempor?nea, tentando tra?ar n?o s? o encarceramento em massa latente desde o final do s?culo XX mas tamb?m os crimes praticados pelo Estado contra a popula??o negra e pobre. Al?m disso, interroga-se o momento de emerg?ncia da pol?cia moderna, vinculando-a a caracter?sticas elementares de sua atua??o, assim como tra?a-se o pr?prio nascimento e desenvolvimento da pol?cia brasileira, sem deixar de localiz?-la, em geral, sob um paradigma de exce??o agambeniano, ou seja, deslocando-se uma vis?o contratualista da sua atua??o e demonstrando estar essa vinculada tanto ? uma viol?ncia fundadora quanto conservadora, espectral por excel?ncia. Assim, a partir da pol?cia, institui??o que concentra o poder de realizar a seguran?a nas democracias modernas, ? que se buscar pensar o que representa um dispositivo policial nas rela??es de poder e quais as imbrica??es poss?veis de seus atravessamentos.

Robots are present each time more on several areas of our society, however they are still considered expensive equipments that are restricted to few people. This work con- sists on the development of control techniques and architectures that make possible the construction and programming of low cost robots with low programming and building complexity. One key aspect of the proposed architecture is the use of audio interfaces to control actuators and read sensors, thus allowing the usage of any device that can produce sounds as a control unit of a robot. The work also includes the development of web ba- sed programming environments that allow the usage of computers or mobile phones as control units of the robot, which can be remotely programmed and controlled. The work also includes possible applications of such low cost robotic platform, including mainly its educational usage, which was experimentally validated by teachers and students of seve- ral graduation courses. We also present an analysis of data obtained from interviews done with the students before and after the use of our platform, which confirms its acceptance as a teaching support tool
Os rob?s est?o cada vez mais presentes nas mais diversas atividades da sociedade, por?m ainda s?o considerados equipamentos caros e restritos para poucas pessoas. Neste trabalho, propomos uma arquitetura de controle e um conjunto de t?cnicas que possibi- litam a constru??o de rob?s de baix?ssimo custo, al?m de diminuir a complexidade na sua montagem e programa??o. Um aspecto chave da arquitetura proposta ? o uso de interfaces de ?udio para controlar atuadores e ler sensores, permitindo assim o uso de qualquer dispositivo que produza sons como unidade de controle de um rob?. Tamb?m desenvolvemos ferramentas de programa??o baseadas em ambientes web que permitem o uso de computadores ou telefones celulares como unidades de controle de um rob?, que pode ser programado e controlado remotamente. O trabalho tamb?m contempla poss?veis aplica??es de tal plataforma rob?tica de baix?ssimo custo, incluindo principalmente o seu uso educacional, que foi validado experimentalmente, por professores e alunos de v?rias disciplinas de gradua??o. Apresentamos uma an?lise de dados de entrevistas realizadas com os alunos, antes e ap?s o uso da plataforma, que confirmam a sua aceita??o como ferramenta de apoio ao ensino
