The lack of maximum learning motivation has a direct impact on student lecture out-comes. The provision of teaching modules needs to be adjusted to ICT developments in order to provide more meaningful lectures. This development research aims to produce e-modules based on project learning (PjBL) in electrical circuit courses that are valid, practi-cal and have a positive impact on student learning outcomes. This research is development research using the ADDIE model with five stages: analysis, design, development, imple-mentation, and evaluation. The subjects of this study consisted of 2 material, media, lan-guage experts, 38 semester 2 students, and 2 course lecturers. Data was collected through questionnaires and tests. The research instruments included validity and practicality ques-tionnaire sheets, as well as tests of electrical circuit lecture results. The results of the re-search show that the E-module developed has a validity level from media experts of 90.00% with a Very Valid classification, a validity level from language experts of 86.00% with a Very Valid classification, and a validity level from material experts of 92.00 % with Very Valid classification. This PjBL-based e-module also has a level of practicality in terms of the student aspect of 88.14%, including in the "Very Practical" category, a level of practicality in terms of the lecturer's aspect of 82.60%, including in the "Very Practical" category and is effective in improving results Electric circuit lecture.

The purpose of this activity is to carry out the tri dharma of higher education and provide mentoring to students in the use of learning applications. The application used is the Droid Tesla V6.21. This application helps students to more easily recognize electronic components and makes it easier for students to design electronic circuits such as assembling series and parallel electrical circuits. This activity has been carried out using lecture and practice methods as well as giving Pre Test and Post Test. This lecture reviews recent information from our laboratory regarding brainstem mechanisms regulating the arterial baroreceptor reflex. Our long-term goal is to understand some of the mechanisms involved in the etiology of essential hypertension. Our hypothesis is that this problem may arise, in part, because of changes within brainstem circuits controlling arterial pressure, and in particular to occlusion of baroreceptive information at the level of the primary afferent relay within the brainstem. Although it is established that baroreceptors provide a mechanism for short-term regulation of arterial pressure, there is convincing evidence that they also play a role in its long-term control (see Thrasher 2002, for an example). It follows that dysfunction of this reflex circuit could contribute to high blood pressure levels. Here, we discuss the central actions of angiotensin II on the baroreceptor reflex circuitry within the nucleus of the solitary tract (NTS) for arterial pressure control. Our findings have led us to hypothesize a novel form of intercellular communication within the NTS, one of vascular-neuronal signaling.Key words: baroreceptor reflex, nitric oxide, eNOS, nucleus tractus solitarii, adenovirus, somatic gene transfer.

Lake Eibsee, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, 16 to 18 November, 2017: The European Stroke Organisation convened >120 stroke experts from 21 countries to discuss latest results and hot topics in clinical, translational and basic stroke research. Since its inception in 2011, the European Stroke Science Workshop has become a cornerstone of European Stroke Organisation’s academic activities and a major highlight for researchers in the field. Participants include stroke researchers at all career stages and with different backgrounds, who convene for plenary lectures and discussions. The workshop was organised in seven scientific sessions focusing on the following topics: (1) acute stroke treatment and endovascular therapy; (2) small vessel disease; (3) opportunities for stroke research in the omics era; (4) vascular cognitive impairment; (5) intracerebral and subarachnoid haemorrhage; (6) alternative treatment concepts and (7) neural circuits, recovery and rehabilitation. All sessions started with a keynote lecture providing an overview on current developments, followed by focused talks on a timely topic with the most recent findings, including unpublished data. In the following, we summarise the key contents of the meeting. The program is provided in the online only Data Supplement. The workshop started with a key note lecture on how to improve the efficiency of clinical trial endpoints in stroke, which was delivered by Craig Anderson (Sydney, Australia) and set the scene for the following discussions.

Abstract: The paper presents the restructuring of course design and delivery, to attain the enhanced learning in Digital Circuits course through pedagogic practices and hands on experience in laboratory. The objective of the paper is to enhance the understanding of the course beyond the class room teaching. The traditional approach of course design, course delivery and course assessment provide less scope for better learning of courses. To address the limitations of traditional approaches, an Outcome Based Education (OBE) proposes many pedagogical practices. The paper proposes a framework to restructure the Digital Circuits course w.r.t.. to content delivery in the class, course projects and the reframing the laboratory experiments. The contents delivery is supported by expert lecture through videos, course project is aided by concept/prototype development and the lab is formulated to exercise multiple problems on a single topic. The students' attainment is measured and analyzed through examination results and feedback. The technical and professional outcomes are achieved through the proposed framework. Le travail de thèse concerne l'amélioration de la qualité d'image des détecteurs infrarouges bolométriques par diminution du bruit spatial fixe. Dans un premier temps, la thèse aborde la problématique de l'acquisition d'image infrarouge thermique non-refroidies et montre en quoi le bruit spatial fixe devient un problème prédominant quand il s'agit d'évaluer la qualité d'image des capteurs de l'état de l'art. Une modélisation analytique d'un détecteur est ensuite développée afin d'identifier le paramètre technologique prédominant dans la dispersion de réponse. On démontre ainsi que le préfacteur de résistance est de loin le principal responsable de la dispersion de signal des matrices de bolomètres. Ce travail est étayé par des mesures réalisées sur des composants existants. Un algorithme de correction numérique des dispersions induite par ce facteur prédominant est développé. Sa performance de correction est mise en évidence et ses limites sont explicitées. Afin de dépasser ces limitations, une nouvelle architecture mixte numérique/analogique est proposée et validée par simulation. Enfin deux circuits de réduction des facteurs secondaires sont présentés et testés, on en démontre leur fonctionnalité et leurs limites dans un dernier chapitre. Cette thèse a fait l'objet de cinq dépôts de brevets et de six communications scientifiques. Cinq circuits d'études ont été réalisés pendant ces travaux et leur fonctionnement est explicité dans ce manuscrit<br>This PhD work deals with the image quality improvement of Microbolometer infrared detectors by Fixed Pattern Noise Reduction. First the work addresses the problem thermal imaging acquisition with an uncooled technology. We show why the Fixed Pattern Noise is becoming a predominant factor in image quality evaluation based on the state of the Art in bolometric readout circuit design. An algebraic model is then discussed to identify the predominant technological factor in the detector signal dispersion. We show that this critical factor is the resistance prefactor of the bolometer. This statement has been verified through measurement campaigns on existing devices. An algorithm is presented to correct the signal spread introduced by the prefactor. Performance of this algorithm is evaluated and limits are explained. To overcome these limitations, a new mixed mode architecture is developed and validated by simulation. Finally, two circuits aiming at lowering the second order factors are presented and tested. Functionality is demonstrated and limitations are found. Five circuits have been drawn during this work. They are described in this manuscript

La conception de circuits de lecture CMOS destinés aux plans focaux de matrices de photodétecteurs suit l'évolution constante des technologies. La capacité d'intégration, à surface de Silicium donnée, tend donc à augmenter, ce qui permet un design de circuits toujours plus complexe. Une partie ou toute l'électronique de proximité du système peut être ramenée au sein du plan focal, afin de rendre les équipements plus compacts, moins lourds, moins chers. . . Une des premières fonctions à inclure est la conversion Analogique- Numérique. La principale contrainte d'un tel convertisseur est la consommation et une précision de 14 à 16 bits. Nous présentons ici une architecture originale utilisant un convertisseur par colonne et un par pixel. Le convertisseur colonne est un convertisseur à approximations successives. Celui-ci a été modélisé mathématiquement en tenant compte de différents effets parasites (charges injectées, gain fini, capacités parasites, dispersions technologiques. . . ), réalisé en technologie CMOS O. 5 mM, et caractérisé. Une précision de 6. 5 bits a pu être mesurée. Le convertisseur pixel est de type Sigma-Delta. Il a lui aussi été modélisé, simulé. L'étude de cette architecture hybride entre-ouvre une nouvelle voie de recherche à approfondir sur la construction de nouveaux circuits de lecture élaborés<br>The design of CMOS integrated readout circuits for infrared focal plane arrays follows the constant evolution of technologies. The integration capacity , at a given Silicon surface, thus tends to increase, which allows more and more complex design of circuits. A part or all the proximity electronics of the system can be brought back in the focal plane, in order to make the equipment more compact, less heavy, less expensive. . . One of the of the functions to be included is the Analog-Digital conversion. The principal constraints of such converter is the power consumption combine with an accuracy of 14 to 16 bits. We present an original architecture using a converter by column and an another one by pixel. The converter column is a converter built around the classical successive approximation architecture. It was modeled mathematically by taking into account various parasitic effects (charge injection, limited gain, parasitic capacitors, technological dispersions. . . ). It has been designed, fabricated in a standard 0. 5 mM MOS technology, and characterized. An accuracy of 6. 5 bits had been measured. The pixel converter is a type of Sigma-Delta converter. It has also modeled and simulated. The study of this hybrid architecture opens a new way of research to build new elaborated integrated readout circuits

Le transistor monoélectronique, SET ou single-electron transistor, a été considéré comme étant l’une des alternatives au CMOS lorsqu’il atteindra le « mur technologique ». Le SET se caractérise comme un dispositif ultra faible puissance et nanométrique, mais son faible gain et sa grande dépendance à la température ont fait en sorte que la technologie SET a perdu du momentum vis-à-vis la communauté scientifique. Cependant, en ne considérant pas la technologie SET comme une remplaçante du MOSFET, mais comme quelque chose qui permettrait d’ajouter des fonctionnalités aux circuits CMOS, elle semble être très prometteuse. Cette niche est habituellement appelée l’hybridation SET-CMOS.
Ce mémoire débute par une validation des circuits hybrides SET-CMOS présents dans la littérature en remplaçant le modèle de simulation de SET par un modèle beaucoup plus réaliste. De ces circuits hybrides, aucun ne fonctionnera étant donné les courants de fuite trop importants. Le re-design de ces circuits avec ces architectures a été fait avec le bon modèle SET et une technologie CMOS 22 nm, mais leurs performances n’ont pas suffi pour démontrer leur bon fonctionnement (Plage de tension de sortie très faible, aucune bande passante, circuits incomplets, forte dépendance du circuit à ce qui est connecté à la sortie, etc.).
Cela a amené à la création de deux nouvelles architectures de circuits de lecture hybrides SET-CMOS. Chaque circuit est conçu avec une technologie CMOS 22 nm. L’une des architectures est principalement adaptée à une application de dispositif capteur SET, où le SET serait éloigné d’un circuit CMOS. Dans l’exemple démontré, le circuit avec le capteur SET donne une sensibilité de 8.4 V par électron peu importe la charge connectée à la sortie du circuit. La nouvelle architecture inventée servirait d’étage tampon entre un circuit numérique fait de SET et un circuit numérique CMOS conventionnel. Dans la littérature, les circuits numériques SET n’ont pas de charge typique lors de leur simulation (ex : un inverseur CMOS), ce qui fausse les résultats en promettant une fréquence haute d’opération impossible à atteindre lors d’une utilisation typique. Ce circuit de lecture numérique fait la lecture du circuit numérique SET, fait le passage entre les deux alimentations différentes et est en mesure de supporter un inverseur CMOS conventionnel à 440 MHz. La consommation de ce circuit n’est que de 5.3 nW lors d’une utilisation à 200 MHz. Cette faible consommation est tout à fait en phase avec l’utilisation de circuits numériques SET qui consomment très peu.
Chaque nouvelle architecture inventée a été simulée avec l’ensemble des effets parasites que les interconnexions apportent aux circuits. Les simulations procurent ainsi des résultats plus réalistes.
Un procédé de fabrication de circuits hybrides SET-CMOS, où les dispositifs SET sont fabriqués sur le BEOL des puces CMOS avancées, a été développé et testé. Il intègre le procédé nanodamascène, pour la fabrication des nanodispositifs, et la fabrication d’interconnexions/vias afin de relier le CMOS avec les SET. Une démarche pour la validation des dispositifs CMOS a aussi dû être développée et testée. Afin de s’adapter aux dispositifs CMOS à notre disposition, une conception de circuit hybride SET-CMOS a été faite. La fabrication d’un premier prototype recréant un circuit hybride SET-CMOS fût réalisée.

Le travail réalisé lors de cette thèse s’inscrit dans le projet de création d’un calorimètre électromagnétique pour le futur International Linear Collider (ILC) au sein de la collaboration CALICE. Le calorimètre est dit ultra-granulaire du fait du grand nombre de pixels de détection : environ 82 millions dans le calorimètre final complet. C’est ce nombre élevé de détecteurs à lire qui a conduit au développement de circuits intégrés dédiés à cette tâche, l’usage d’électronique classique n’étant pas possible dans ce cas du fait de contraintes dimensionnelles. Les travaux démarrent par l’étude de la puce SKIROC2, développée par le laboratoire Omega, qui est l’état de l’art de l’ASIC de lecture pour ce projet. Les performances sur carte de test et dans l’environnement du détecteur ont été mesurées, ce qui a permis de tirer certaines conclusions sur les forces et les faiblesses de SKIROC2. Après cette étude, le travail a été le développement d’un nouvel ASIC de lecture se basant sur SKIROC2. L’objectif étant de préserver les forces de SKIROC2 tout en tentant d’en corriger les faiblesses. Le nouvel ASIC a été conçu dans une technologie tout juste disponible au moment de la conception. Il a donc tout fallu redessiner en repartant de zéro. Il s’agit en cela de building blocks plus que d’un véritable ASIC de lecture. Trois structures de préamplificateurs de charge ont été testées, l’architecture générale et le fonctionnement d’un canal de lecture étant largement inspirés de SKIROC2<br>This work takes place in the design project of the electromagnetic calorimeter for the future International Linear Collider (ILC) within the CALICE collaboration. The final calorimeter will be made of 82 million of PIN diodes; this is where the term “high granularity” comes from. The need for a read-out ASIC is a consequence of this high number of detectors, knowing that the dimensions of the electromagnetic calorimeter are a big constraint: the standard electronics is not an option. This work starts from an existing ASIC called SKIROC2. This state-of-the-art read-out chip has been designed by the Omega laboratory, a member of the CALICE collaboration. The performances on testboard and in the detector environment have been measured. It allowed to conclude on the advantages and drawbacks of using SKIROC2 in the calorimeter. After that the focus has been made on the design of a new read-out chip based on SKIROC2. The main goal was to preserve the good performances of SKIROC2 while trying to correct the encountered issues. This new ASIC has been developped in a newly released technology available during the design phase. Therefore the design has been started from scratch. The final chip is composed of building blocks rather than a ready-to-use read-out chip. Three charge preamplifier designs have been tested, the general architecture of a read-out channel being largely inspired by SKIROC2

Dans le cas d'instruments scientifiques embarqués à bord de satellites, des contraintes en température, consommation, encombrement et de tenue en radiation s'ajoutent aux autres contraintes. Les technologies de circuits intégrés permettent une rupture technologique qui se traduit par une réduction de la taille des circuits électroniques embarqués d'un facteur supérieur à 1000 tout en améliorant les performances électriques et instrumentales (réduction de la consommation, des sources de bruit, augmentation de la bande passante et durcissement de l'électronique). Une première thèse au L2E (A. Rhouni) a montré la pertinence d'une technologie CMOS pour ce type d'instrumentation. Dans la présente thèse est décrite l'étude menée sur les circuits intégrés soumis à des environnements contraignants liés aux futures missions dans lesquelles ce type d'instrument doit être embarqué (Mission JUICE de l'ESA). Ces contraintes devenant de plus en plus sévères (dose de radiations supérieure à 300krad, température inférieure à 100 Kelvin ...), leur prise en compte dans tout le processus de conception est nécessaire. Une modélisation des effets de ces contraintes sur les composants de la technologie cible de circuits intégrés a été réalisée afin de pouvoir prendre en compte ces effets dès la conception. Enfin, ces modèles ont servi à la conception d'un circuit de lecture d'un magnétomètre à induction pour l'astrophysique<br>Induction magnetometers are used in many fields of scientific exploration from geophysics to astrophysics. In these two fields, the study of the magnetic components of natural electromagnetic waves requires particularly powerful instruments: sensitive and with low intrinsic noises to access magnetic fields of some fT/ . In the case of scientific instruments carried on satellites, constraints on temperature, consumption, congestion and radiation resistance are added to the other constraints. Integrated circuit technologies allow technological breakthrough, which results in a reduction in the size of embedded electronic circuits by a factor greater than 1000, while improving electrical and instrumental performances (reduction in consumption, noise sources, bandwidth and hardening of the electronics). A first thesis at the L2E (A. Rhouni) showed the relevance of a CMOS technology for this type of instrumentation. In this thesis, we describe the study conducted on integrated circuits subject to environmental constraints related to the future missions in which this type of instrument must be embarked (Mission JUICE of ESA). These constraints are becoming more and more severe (radiation dose > 300krad, temperature less than 100 Kelvin ...), taking into account throughout the design process is necessary. A modeling of the effects of these constraints on the components of the integrated circuits technology has been carried out in order to be able to take these effects into account from the design stage. Ces contraintes devenant de plus en plus sévères (dose de radiations supérieure à 300krad, température inférieure à 100 Kelvin ...), leur prise en compte dans tout le processus de conception est nécessaire. Une modélisation des effets de ces contraintes sur les composants de la technologie cible de circuits intégrés a été réalisée afin de pouvoir prendre en compte ces effets dès la conception. Enfin, ces modèles ont servi à la conception d'un circuit de lecture d'un magnétomètre à induction pour l'astrophysique<br>Induction magnetometers are used in many fields of scientific exploration from geophysics to astrophysics. In these two fields, the study of the magnetic components of natural electromagnetic waves requires particularly powerful instruments: sensitive and with low intrinsic noises to access magnetic fields of some fT/ . In the case of scientific instruments carried on satellites, constraints on temperature, consumption, congestion and radiation resistance are added to the other constraints. Integrated circuit technologies allow technological breakthrough, which results in a reduction in the size of embedded electronic circuits by a factor greater than 1000, while improving electrical and instrumental performances (reduction in consumption, noise sources, bandwidth and hardening of the electronics). A first thesis at the L2E (A. Rhouni) showed the relevance of a CMOS technology for this type of instrumentation. In this thesis, we describe the study conducted on integrated circuits subject to environmental constraints related to the future missions in which this type of instrument must be embarked (Mission JUICE of ESA). These constraints are becoming more and more severe (radiation dose > 300krad, temperature less than 100 Kelvin ...), taking into account throughout the design process is necessary. A modeling of the effects of these constraints on the components of the integrated circuits technology has been carried out in order to be able to take these effects into account from the design stage. Ce travail porte sur l'amélioration des performances en bruit et sur la conception de circuits de lecture de capteurs d'images à pixels actifs CMOS à destination des applications scientifiques. La première partie est consacrée à l'étude et à la modélisation du bruit temporel de la chaîne de lecture du capteur. Cette étude nous permet de définir des règles de conception réduisant le bruit de ces circuits. Des circuits de test ont été réalisés sur une technologie CMOS 0. 7µm, afin de valider les résultats obtenus. Le deuxième axe porte sur la conception de circuits analogiques de lecture et de traitement du signal effectuant l'extraction du signal utile, l'amplification, et la correction de bruit spatial fixe de colonnes, intégrés sur la même puce que la matrice photosensible ainsi que l'analyse de leurs performances. Trois circuits ont été réalisés sur une technologie CMOS 0. 7µm : le premier est un amplificateur à capacités commutées (c. C. ) élémentaire, le second un amplificateur à c. C. à compensation de la tension de décalage, et le troisième un filtre passe-bande actif commutable. Ils permettent des vitesses de lecture jusqu'à 10Mpixel/sec. Une analyse théorique détaillée de la réponse des circuits au bruit blanc et au bruit en 1/f[exposant α], en considérant la nature non-stationnaire des signaux de sortie, est présentée. Les résultats expérimentaux et théoriques sont comparés. Finalement un nouveau circuit de lecture du signal des colonnes est proposé et développé afin de réduire le bruit spatial fixe de colonnes. Il nécessite un seul amplificateur de colonne commun à toute une matrice de pixels. Les effets des non-idéalités des composants réels sur les performances de ce circuit sont étudiés et des solutions sont proposées et discutées afin de les minimiser. Les résultats expérimentaux ainsi que les problèmes rencontrés sur un circuit de test, comprenant 128x128 pixels et réalisé sur une technologie CMOS 0. 6µm, sont présentés.

De nos jours, la conception des systèmes sur puce devient de plus en plus complexe, et requiert des densités de mémoire sans cesse grandissantes. Pour ce faire, une forte miniaturisation des nœuds technologiques s’opère. Les mémoires non-volatiles résistives, tels que les RRAM, PC-RAM ou MRAM se présentent comme des alternatives technologiques afin d'assurer à la fois une densité suffisante et des faibles contraintes en surface, en latence, et en consommation à l’échelle nanométrique. Cependant, la variabilité croissante de ces cellules mémoires ainsi que des circuits en périphérie, tels que des circuits de lecture, est un problème majeur à prendre en considération. Cette thèse consiste en une étude détaillée et une aide à la compréhension de la problématique de variabilité appliquée aux circuits de lecture pour mémoires résistives. Elle propose des solutions d’amélioration de la fiabilité de lecture de ces mémoires. Pour ce faire, diverses études ont été réalisées : revue générale des solutions existantes d’amélioration du rendement de lecture, au niveau circuit et système ; développement d’un modèle statistique évaluant la contribution à la marge de lecture de la variabilité de chaque composante du chemin de lecture de la mémoire résistive ; analyse, caractérisation, modélisation et optimisation de l’offset d’un amplificateur de lecture dynamique pour mémoires résistives ; proposition d’architecture d’amplificateur de lecture permettant un rapport signal à offset optimum<br>Nowadays, Systems on chip (SoCs) conception is becoming more and more complex and demand an ever-increasing amount of memory capacity. This leads to aggressive bit cell technology scaling. Nonvolatile resistive memories (PC-RAM, RRAM, MRAM) are promising technologic alternatives to ensure both high density, low power consumption, low area and low latencies. However, scaling lead to significant memory cell and/or memory periphery variability. This thesis aims to address variability issues in read circuitries of resistive memories and propose solutions for read yield enhancement of these memories. To this end, several sub-studies were achieved: overall review of the existing solutions for read yield enhancement, at both circuit and system level; development of a statistical model evaluating the contributions to read margin of the variability of each component of the resistive memory sensing path; analysis, characterization modelling and optimization of the offset of one particular dynamic sense amplifier for resistive memories; proposal of a sense amplifier architecture that features an optimum signal to offset ratio

Les séquençages du génome humain et du génome de la souris ont montré que parmi les 30000 gènes que possèdent l'homme et la souris, seuls 300 diffèrent. Cette remarquable similitude rend possible l'étude du développement de certaines maladies sur des souris telles que les maladies cardio-vasculaires, le cancer, les maladies neurodégénératives à savoir les maladies d'Alzheimer ou de Parkinson entre autres. Ainsi des modèles murins représentant les pathologies humaines se sont multipliés. L'imagerie moléculaire permettant de coupler à la fois les informations fonctionnelles et anatomiques est devenue un outil indispensable à la recherche biomédicale. A cet effet, un des axes de recherche du groupe ImaBio de l'Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien (IPHC) est le développement d'un système d'imagerie multimodale préclinique dénommé AMISSA (A Multimodality Imaging System for Small Animal) dédié au petit animal. Cette voie de recherche technologique multimodale constitue une solution innovante aux problèmes posés par la biologie. Le nombre de voies du système envisagé (6144) pour la modalité TEP (Tomographie à Emission de Positons) qui devra s'intégrer dans la plate-forme AMISSA ainsi que la taille de l'objet à imager qui tient dans un diamètre de 6 cm nécessitent une électronique de lecture intégrée. L'imageur TEP est conçu de manière à atteindre les objectifs de résolution spatiale de 1 mm3 avec une efficacité de détection supérieure à 15%. Du fait de la géométrie envisagée pour le détecteur, cette électronique doit conditionner une large gamme de fonctionnement allant de quelques femto coulombs à 104 pC pour la mesure de charges. Pour minimiser les coïncidences fortuites, une résolution temporelle inférieure à la nanoseconde permettant d'obtenir une fenêtre temporelle étroite est indispensable. La participation au développement de cette électronique dédiée au module de détection du micro TEP et aussi à sa caractérisation font l'objet de cette thèse. Un prototype d'ASIC (Circuit Intégré à Application Spécifique) de 10 voies nommé IMOTEPA pour la mesure de charges et un autre de 16 voies nommé IMOTEPD dédié au marquage en temps des photons pour la recherche de coïncidences ont été développés en technologie CMOS 0,35μm d'AMS. Ces deux microcircuits nous ont permis de valider séparément les parties analogique et numérique de l'électronique de lecture du photodétecteur. L'objectif final est d'arriver à un ASIC unique réalisant simultanément ces deux fonctions. Les résultats obtenus, notamment une Non-Linéarité Intégrale (NLI) et une diaphonie inférieures respectivement à 3 et 0,2% pour IMOTEPA de même qu'un « jitter » de 120 ps RMS et une Non-Linéarité Différentielle (NLD) de ±0,35LSB pour IMOTEPD, répondent aux spécifications du cahier des charges. Ces mesures ont permis d'envisager un prototype mixte de 64 voies nommé IMOTEPAD qui est en cours de développement. Ce manuscrit donne une description des ASICs IMOTEPA et IMOTEPD et présente les résultats de mesure qui leur sont associés<br>The sequencing of the human genome and the genome of the mouse has shown that among the 30,000 genes that have human and mouse, only 300 are different. This remarkable similarity makes possible to study the development of diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, namely Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease on mice. Thus, mouse models representing the human diseases have been multiplied. Molecular imaging which couples both anatomical and functional information has become an indispensable tool in biomedical research. One of the main researches of ImaBio's group of the Hubert Curien Pluridisciplinary Institute (IPHC) is developing a preclinical multimodal imaging system named AMISSA (A Multimodality Imaging System for Small Animal) and dedicated to small animal. This multimodal technology research is an innovative solution to biology issues. For the PET (Positron Emission tomography) modalities that should be integrated in the platform AMISSA, the number of channels (6144) of the proposed system and the size of the object imaged that will be fit on a diameter of 6 cm require an integrated electronic readout. The PET imaging system is designed to achieve a spatial resolution of 1 mm3 with detection efficiency better than 15%. Due to the geometry considered for the detector, its readout electronic should be able to achieve a large dynamic range from a few femto Coulombs to 104 pC for the measure of charges and an accurate measurement of the arrival time of signal with a precision better than 1 ns to make a narrow time coincidence window in order to reduce random coincidences. My contribution in this project is to participate in the development of this dedicated electronic module detection of the micro PET and also to characterize it. An ASIC prototype of 10 channels named IMOTEPA for the charge measurement and another of 16 channels named IMOTEPD dedicated to time stamp the photons have been developed in AMS CMOS 0. 35 µm. These two chips allowed us to validate separately the analogue part and the digital one of the photodetector's readout electronic. The final objective is to reach a single ASIC performing simultaneously both of these functions. Measured Integral Non-Linearity (INL) less than 3%, a crosstalk around 0. 2% for IMOTEPA and also jitter of about 120 ps RMS and Differential Non-Linearity of about ±0. 35 LSB for IMOTEPD, meet the specifications. These measures allow integrating a 64 channels prototype named IMOTEPAD which is under development in the laboratory. This manuscript provides a description of the ASICs IMOTEPA and IMOTEPD and presents the measurement results associated to them

Les futures grandes expériences de l’exploration des lois fondamentales de la Nature (e. G. ILC) exigent des détecteurs de vertex de résolution spatiale et de granularité poussées, très minces et radio-tolérants, qui sont hors de portée des technologies de détections actuelles. Ce constat est à l’origine du développement des Capteurs CMOS à Pixels Actifs. La résolution spatiale du capteur est une performance clé. Elle résulte de la répartition des charges libérées par une particule chargée traversant, et ionisant, le volume sensible. L’encodage de la charge collectée par chaque pixel repose sur un CAN (Convertisseur Analogique Numérique) intégrable à même le substrat abritant le volume sensible du capteur. Ce CAN doit être précis, compact, rapide et de faible consommation. L’objectif de cette thèse a donc été de concevoir un CAN répondant à ces exigences conflictuelles. D’abord, plusieurs architectures d’un échantillonneur-bloqueur-amplificateur ont été étudiées pour conditionner le faible signal des pixels. Une architecture originale de cet étage a été conçue. L’architecture pipeline du CAN a été choisie. La configuration de base de 1,5 bit/étage a été implémentée pour tester la validité du concept, puisqu’elle permet de minimiser les contraintes sur chaque étage. Nous avons optimisé l’architecture en introduisant le concept du double échantillonnage dans un premier temps sur une configuration de 2,5 bits/étage, ceci a permis de minimiser les dimensions et la puissance. Le double échantillonnage combiné avec la résolution de 1,5 bit/étage a constitué une seconde amélioration. Une nouvelle architecture du CAN adapté à la séquence des commandes des pixels a été proposée<br>The future big experiments for exploring the fundamental laws of the Nature (e. G. International Linear Collider, ILC) require Vertex Detectors of high spatial resolution and granularity, very thin and radio-tolerant, which are out of reach of the current detection technologies. This observation is at the origin of the development of a novel technology, CMOS Active Pixel Sensors. The spatial resolution of the sensor is a major performance. It results from the sharing of the charges created by a charged particle when it crosses -and ionizes- the sensitive volume. The encoding of the charge collected by each pixel bases on an ADC (Analog-to-Digital Converter), which must be integrated on the substrate sheltering the sensitive volume of the sensor. This ADC must be precise, compact, fast and dissipating low power. The objective through this thesis was to design an ADC fulfilling these conflicting requirements. First, several architectures of a sample-hold-amplifier were studied for conditioning the low signal coming from the pixel. An original architecture of this stage was designed. The pipelined architecture was chosen to develop the ADC. The basic configuration 1. 5 bit/stage was implemented to test the validity of the concept, because it allows minimizing the constraints of each single stage. We optimized the ADC pipelined architecture by introducing the double sampling concept on a configuration of 2. 5 bits/stage, this allowed to minimize the dimensions and the power. The double sampling combined with the 1. 5 bit inter-stage resolution constituted a second improvement of the ADC architecture. A new architecture of the ADC adapted to the pixel command sequence was proposed

Lab exercises have traditionally been a time when students follow a given procedure, collect data, and interpret the data. The highly structured experience often leads to students focusing on the procedure and not fully thinking through the concepts being covered. While labs are fully completed each week, the structured approach does not prepare students for the open-ended, non-procedural work entry-level engineers will encounter in industry. To encourage a deeper understanding of course concepts and how they translate to physical systems and better prepare students for the workforce, open-ended design projects were offered in place of structured labs in the circuits and mechatronics courses at James Madison University. The design projects are undirected experiences that build on the directed experiences in lecture and lab. Students are challenged to work in teams to design, build, test, and in one case, calibrate, an electrical system. No instruction is provided for the project, rather, a set of design requirements, timetable, and supplemental materials (e.g., data sheets, vendor design briefs, past labs relevant to the design requirements) are given. Students must synthesize multiple weeks of course content into a single design project. This paper reports on our observations and student feedback for embedding design experiences in engineering science courses.

Actualmente, limba engleză oferă un inedit prototip de socializare internațională, delegându-și mijloace de exprimare în cele mai multe limbi ale lumii. Prin comunicare mediatică, deschisă tuturor înnoirilor lexicale, cuvinte de origine engleză pătrund și în limba română, căutându-și locul adecvat în diferite contexte. Englezismele sunt o realitate, o atestare actuală a evoluţiei limbii noastre. Ele își demonstrează funcționalitatea în comunicare, iar reiterativitatea în circuit le marchează însăşi utilitatea lor. În lucrarea de față, urmărim încadrarea englezismelor din varii domenii de activitate în diferite pasaje. Cercetăm relevanța lor în exemple concrete, gradul de necesitate, de adaptare, de corectitudine, dar și frecvența utilizării acestora în mass-media. Astfel, vom constata interactivitatea dintre nivelul dezvoltării limbii române și utilizatorii ei care contribuie la îmbogățirea și modernizarea vocabularului nostru, pentru a ne realiza pe scară internațională.

Here, we present the method of building the optical linear charge coupled device (CCD) sensor with microcontroller circuit for re-cording and monitoring the sedimentation process. Brief overview of the engineering be-hind the communication protocol is given together with key microcontroller techniques that are required for fast analogue voltage signal sampling. Proposed system has adapt-able light integration protocol and shows exceptional durability under centrifugal force loads that are commonly used in platelet-rich plasma. The parts for building the system are sourced at common electronics stores and provides easy means for observing optical changes in blood samples with emphasis on sedimentation and forming layers with dif-ferent optical properties.
