Abstract Aims Cannabis is an increasingly common recreational substance used by teenagers. However, there is limited data probing association of cardiac arrhythmias with marijuana use in this population. Methods and Results We provide prevalence trends, disease burden and healthcare utilization of cardiac arrhythmias associated with cannabis use disorder (CUD) in hospitalized teenagers (13–20 years) using a large national administrative database in the United States from 2003–2016. We used partial least square regression analysis for assessing trends in prevalence of cardiac arrhythmias and mu

Only about 30% of regular cannabis users develop cannabis use disorder (CUD), but it is unclear if individuals who use cannabis regularly without ever developing CUD experience notable psychosocial impairment across the lifespan. Therefore, psychosocial functioning was compared across regular cannabis users with or without CUD and a non-user control group during adolescence (age 17; early risk) and young adulthood (ages 18–25; peak CUD prevalence).MethodWeekl

Cannabis use continues to be a public health concern and has become a major clinical and nonclinical research construct in numerous fields for numerous reasons. First, the slight alterations in the criteria for cannabis use disorder (CUD) diagnosis required validation and prevalence statistics. Second, the shift in social perceptions of cannabis use and its legalization by various states have led to significant increases in cannabis use, abuse, and individuals meeting the criteria for CUD. Additionally, understanding the psychological and neural mechanisms associated with CUD will allow for innovative and tailored intervention and treatment methods for those suffering from the condition. This chapter provides a brief overview of the central, peripheral, and autonomic processes associated with CUD. It then considers the current treatments for CUD that are informed by pharmacological and epidemiological information. Finally, the authors contrast CUD with cardiovascular dysfunction, providing inferences for CUD as a potential contributor to the leading cause of death: cardiovascular disease.

Resumen
This deliverable focus on the verification and validation of the solvers of Kratos Multiphysics which are used within ExaQUte. These solvers comprise standard body-fitted approaches and novel embedded approaches for the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations carried out within ExaQUte. Firstly, the standard body-fitted CFD solver is validated on a benchmark problem of high rise building - CAARC benchmark and subsequently the novel embedded CFD solver is verified against the solution of the body-fitted solver. Especially for the novel embedded approach, a workflow is presented on which

Resumen
Review question / Objective: Can Baduanjin exercise improve the cardiac rehabilitation of patients with coronary artery disease after percutaneous coronary artery surgery? Condition being studied: Coronary heart disease (CHD), also known as coronary artery disease (CAD), is the single most common cause of death globally, with 7.4 million deaths in 2013, accounting for one-third of all deaths (WHO 2014). PCI has been shown to be effective in reducing mortality in patients with CHD. During follow-up, it has been shown that the benefits of PCI can be offset by the significant risks of coronary sp
