The purpose of the paper is to find out how COVID-19 has affected the sector of SMEs, especially in terms of its access to finance. In doing so we hypothesize that problems arising from both supply side and demand side of the business, have additionally restrained SMEs’ access to finance, thus putting their short-to-medium term position to a threat. This report highlights the findings and implications of research conducted in the Norwegian hospitality sector during the Covid-19 pandemic.
