Resumen
The family and its important role in the development of the child is the inspiration for many types of research that have the intention to emphasize certain aspects of family life and the consequences of the family relations in the development of the children. The issue of this research is to find out if there is a connection between the conflict in the family, the divorce of the parents and self-concept in the children of early school age. The research is conducted on 30 children of single-parent families. The children of these single-parent families are children who have lived in families with conflicts and they have been direct or indirect participants in the conflict of the divorced parents. In the process of research, we applied projective techniques: Machover which consists of drawing a person’s figure, as well as a drawing a house and a tree-HTP (House-Tree-Person).The results are obtained through qualitative analysis and interpretation of each drawing particularly.During the investigation the relation between the variables, it is confirmed that there is a considerable connection between the conflict in the family, the divorce of the parents and the self-concept in children. It is confirmed, during the process that the children of divorced parents from negative self-concept. In children of single-parent families it is indicated that this group of children in relation to the psychological picture for themselves presented the following characteristics: lowered EGO, mechanisms for defense, feeling of insecurity, low self-confidence, aggressiveness, great virility, and caution.

Resumen
Since in many cases past and present the professional translation field is not — or is only weakly — differentiated, the transposability of dispositions acquired through experiences related both to other fields and to translators’ larger life conditions and social trajectory may play a fundamental role in a translator’s habitus. Research on translators’ socio-biographies therefore deserves special attention. For native literary author-translators who live and work in a diglossic society characterized by socio-linguistic conflicts between the translators’ working languages, the plural and dynamic internalization of this conflict and of broader linguistic and cultural hierarchies is likely to form one of the constitutive aspects of their habitus and self-image, of their literary and translational behavior. In the first part of this article, I propose a tentative typology of Belgian native author-translators’ habitus and self-image according to potentially different internalizations of the Belgian linguistic conflict in their broader socialization process. In the second part, I present relevant aspects of the socio-biography of Camille Melloy, a native literary author-translator who translated between conflicting cultures in early twentieth century Belgium.

Resumen
Introduction. The article attempts to study the correlation between the desire to enter the teaching profession and the formation of the conflict resolution component in the teacher’s image. The purpose of the article is to identify and describe the relationship between the assessment of the formation of the conflict resolution component in the teacher’s image and the desire to pursue a career in education. Materials and Methods. The study is based on the systematic approach and uses theoretical and empirical research methods. To collect primary empirical data, a survey of undergraduates doing their degrees in education was conducted. The study involved 152 undergraduate students (Years 2-5). For the mathematical processing of the research data, the H - Kruskal Wallace test and factor analysis were used Results. The factor analysis revealed two factors within the structure of the conflict resolution component of the teacher’s image. Its content differs when students assess school teachers, university teachers and themselves. According to students’ perceptions, the structure of conflict resolution component of the school teacher’s image and of the image of the university teacher coincide to a great extent. On the other hand, the structure of conflict resolution component of future teachers’ ‘self-image’ differs. ‘Refusing violence’ in the second factor is associated with ‘following rules’ for students, and with ‘personal choice’ for university teachers and school teachers. The research findings indicate that students with different degrees of professional motivation have different perceptions of the formation of conflict resolution component within professional images of university teachers, school teachers and themselves. When assessing school teachers and university teachers, significant differences were found according to the ‘internal stability’ criterion. ‘Doubting students’ rated university teachers lower according to this criterion, on the other hand, ‘students who do not want to enter the teaching profession’ rated this criterion low both among school teachers and university teachers. Conclusions. The study reveals the correlation between the assessment of conflict resolution component of the teacher's image and motivation for entering the teaching career. The article concludes that the desire to pursue a career in education is associated with such components of the teacher's image as ‘positive goals’, ‘equal communication’ and ‘personal choice’. Low self-evaluation of students’ conflict resolution component of the teacher's image negatively affects the motivation for teaching career in the future.

Resumen
Evidence suggests that conflicts between contracting parties are more prone to occur when a party has suffered a significant loss. It is argued that the phenomenon is difficult to understand within conventional contract theory, which assumes full rationality, while behavioral theories based on the concepts of motivated reasoning and reciprocity provide interesting explanations. Thus, losses can trigger motivated, self-serving perceptions and beliefs, which in turn are likely to induce negative reciprocity as well as counter-productive acts aimed at bolstering self-image. These explanations are demonstrated to be well supported by experiments.

Resumen
The article analyses actual ideas on the problem of pedagogical conflict management in universities with the help of art therapy resources. This area of scientific knowledge is designed to help the individual to realize their inner state by creating a visual image, metaphors, symbols, videos (art-therapeutic product). Art therapy is a development in the personality inherent in its creativity, which helps in solving conflicts. Through creative expression, art therapy actualizes personal resources for overcoming pedagogical conflicts and provides an output of accumulated energy (aggression), thus harmonizing the emotional sphere. Creating abstract images, the student finds answers too many topical questions, explores fears and barriers to communication. These images arise unconsciously and spontaneously, which is why anxiety and resistance to self-discovery decrease. This provides a diverse range of tools for dealing with the emotional sphere of the individual. Art therapy provides a specific answer to the global question "How to curb emotions in conflict?". In this context, the content, the historical aspect, the specifics of the use of art therapy in universities are analysed and the essence, characterization, dynamics of pedagogical conflicts are revealed. Types of art therapy in the management of pedagogical conflicts in universities are generalized. According to the questionnaire, students overcome the pedagogical conflicts with the following types of art therapy: music therapy (29%), phototherapy (25%), drawing therapy (12%), bibliotherapy (10%) (especially in electronic format), dance and movement therapy (7%), collage (4%) other types (13%). They are harmoniously complemented by combined logotherapy with the use of virtual communication of social networks, which, from the students' experience, provides a qualitative constructive result in solving pedagogical conflicts. Performance, drama, media-art therapy in the format of blogging on various online platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Telegram channels) are all separate modern types of art therapy that helps creative expression, self-affirmation, self-actualization and selfhealing of the personality.

Resumen
Objective Little has been explored about a reflection towards self-image in schizophrenia, though it can be related to heterogeneous symptoms of the illness. We identified the neural basis of ambivalence towards ideal self-image in patients with schizophrenia. Methods 20 patients with schizophrenia and 20 healthy controls underwent functional MRI while the self-image reflection tasks of determining whether to agree with sentences describing their actual or ideal self-image that contained one of the adjective pairs with opposite valence. The interaction between the group and ideal ambivalence score was examined, and group differences in functional connectivity related to ambivalence towards ideal self-image were further studied. Results The interaction of group-by-ideal ambivalence score was shown in the dorsal anterior cingulate cortex and dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, where activities were positively correlated with the level of ideal self-image ambivalence in patients, but not in controls. Task-related decrease in functional connectivity was shown between the orbitofrontal cortex and cerebellum in patients. Conclusion The process of reflecting on ambivalent ideal self-image in schizophrenia may be related to aberrant prefrontal activity and connectivity. Abnormality in the prefrontal regions that take part in cognitive conflict monitoring and value judgment may underlie the pathophysiology of increased ambivalence towards ideal self-image.

Resumen
Conflict, as dealing with power, generally tends to be analysed in Russian sources through the prism of national interest and power play. Emerging new phenomena, such as terrorism, new/ asymmetric warfare, popular uprisings (e.g. Arab Spring), and the controversial notion of globalization, tend to be placed in realist frames of balancing, interest and state politics. This essay expands a constructivist contribution to explaining conflict by looking at the evolution of the image of the ‘other’ and stressing its importance as an element reflecting and cementing the conflict potential at a collective, public level. The argument links the evolution of the Other to its multilevel self-identities, formation of nation-state-self, increase in accessible information flows. By making a socio-historical cut, the essay suggests that conflict ‘others’ today have become more complex, which inhibits conflict resolution and leads us to reevaluate the often neglected role of constructivist analysis.

Resumen
It is proposed that goal pursuit is related to how we resolve conflicts with others, and with our psychological well-being. The aim of the current study was to investigate whether there is an association between individual’s interpersonal goals (compassionate and self-image goals), conflict management style (integrating, compromising, obliging, dominating and avoiding), and psychological well-being. To further investigate the role of interpersonal goals, we designed a self-report questionnaire to measure the preference of compassionate goals as opposed to self-image goals in social conflict situations. Seventy university students completed an on-line questionnaire. The results showed that compassionate goals are negatively associated with dominating style, and positively associated with integrating, compromising and obliging style. Self-image goals correlated positively with dominating style, and negatively with integrating style. Furthermore, individuals with higher levels of self-image goals have a consistent way of dealing with conflicts in different situations. There was no statistically significant association between psychological well-being and interpersonal goals or conflict management style. The results are discussed in light of previous findings and concrete suggestions for further research are presented.

Many current media images of women have underlying messages that affect our psyche in a negative way, whether or not we are aware. These images convey an unrealistic, distorted view of ideals and perfection, which create an unattainable model to live up to. As women, we should be cherishing our uniqueness, but, rather than celebrating and accepting ourselves, we are taught to judge and conceal. This project seeks to address inner beauty as a reflection of our energy, vitality, wisdom and the mental, as well as emotional, engagement in our lives. The terms perfection and imperfection will be redefined and applied to inward rather than outward appearance. Through a photographic study, this project will emphasize the value and beauty in aging. In the end, I would like to encourage my audience to not only recognize but also understand and accept the difference between media images and their own self-images.

The situational self-image, which recognizes the affect of situational influences, particularly social roles, was the specific topic of investigation of this study. It has generally been hypothesized in marketing literature that consumers will purchase the brand with the image most congruent with the consumers' self-image. Symbolic Interactionism, a field of study in sociology, provides the theoretical foundations for the construct situational self-image. Realization of the relationship between the situational self-consciousness and involvement was also investigated.

Chornodon, Myroslava. FEAUTURES OF GENDER IN MODERN MASS MEDIA. Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, febrero de 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.30970/vjo.2021.49.11064.

Texto completo
Resumen
The article clarifies of gender identity stereotypes in modern media. The main gender stereotypes covered in modern mass media are analyzed and refuted. The model of gender relations in the media is reflected mainly in the stereotypical images of men and woman. The features of the use of gender concepts in modern periodicals for women and men were determined. The most frequently used derivatives of these macroconcepts were identified and analyzed in detail. It has been found that publications for women and men are full of various gender concepts that are used in different contexts. Ingeneral, theanalysisofthe concept-maximums and concept-minimum gender and their characteristics is carried out in the context of gender stereotypes that have been forme dand function in the society, system atizing the a ctual presentations. The study of the gender concept is relevant because it reveals new trends and features of modern gender images. Taking into account the special features of gender-labeled periodicals in general and the practical absence of comprehensive scientific studies of the gender concept in particular, there is a need to supplement Ukrainian science with this topic. Gender psychology, which is served by methods of various sciences, primarily sociological, pedagogical, linguistic, psychological, socio-psychological. Let us pay attention to linguistic and psycholinguistic methods in gender studies. Linguistic methods complement intelligence research tasks, associated with speech, word and text. Psycholinguistic methods used in gender psychology (semantic differential, semantic integral, semantic analysis of words and texts), aimed at studying speech messages, specific mechanisms of origin and perception, functions of speech activity in society, studying the relationship between speech messages and gender properties participants in the communication, to analyze the linguistic development in connection with the general development of the individual. Nowhere in gender practice there is the whole arsenal of psychological methods that allow you to explore psychological peculiarities of a person like observation, experiments, questionnaires, interviews, testing, modeling, etc. The methods of psychological self-diagnostics include: the gender aspect of the own socio-psychological portrait, a gender biography as a variant of the biographical method, aimed at the reconstruction of individual social experience. In the process of writing a gender autobiography, a person can understand the characteristics of his gender identity, as well as ways and means of their formation. Socio-psychological methods of studying gender include the study of socially constructed women’s and men’s roles, relationships and identities, sexual characteristics, psychological characteristics, etc. The use of gender indicators and gender approaches as a means of socio-psychological and sociological analysis broadens the subject boundaries of these disciplines and makes them the subject of study within these disciplines. And also, in the article a combination of concrete-historical, structural-typological, system-functional methods is implemented. Descriptive and comparative methods, method of typology, modeling are used. Also used is a method of content analysis for the study of gender content of modern gender-stamped journals. It was he who allowed quantitatively to identify and explore the features of the gender concept in the pages of periodicals for women and men. A combination of historical, structural-typological, system-functional methods is also implemented in the article. Descriptive and comparative methods, method of typology, modeling are used. A method of content analysis for the study of gender content of modern gender-labeled journals is also used. It allowed to identify and explore the features of the gender concept quantitatively in the periodicals for women and men. The conceptual perception and interpretation of the gender concept «woman», which is highlighted in the modern gender-labeled press in Ukraine, requires the elaboration of the polyfunctionality of gender interpretations, the comprehension of the metaphorical perception of this image and its role and purpose in society. A gendered approach to researching the gender content of contemporary periodicals for women and men. Conceptual analysis of contemporary gender-stamped publications within the gender conceptual sphere allows to identify and correlate the meta-gender and gender concepts that appear in society.

Charting Violent Extremism Research Priorities in North Africa and the Sahel 2018. RESOLVE Network, enero de 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.37805/rp2021.1.lcb.

Texto completo
Resumen
As the socio-political dynamics of conflict and insecurity continue to evolve across North Africa and the Sahel, efforts to prioritize the exploration of ongoing and emerging violent extremist trends remain important. For decades, violent conflict, poor resource management, environmental change, and weak governments (through lack of institutional capacity or by predatory elite design) have contributed to cycles of instability and state fragility. Violent extremist organizations such as Boko Haram, al-Qaeda, and the self-proclaimed Islamic State and its affiliates have benefited from this instability. As the groups, tactics, and contexts continue to change, greater attention to ongoing and emerging threats to peace and stability in the region is needed. In 2018, the RESOLVE Network convened over 30 global, regional, and local researchers, practitioners and policymakers with varied expertise in local governance, development, and the preventing and countering violent extremism (P/CVE) research landscape in the Lake Chad Basin and regional proximity. The topics identified here reflect participants’ collective assessment of current dynamics, expertise, in-depth understanding, and commitment to continued analysis of violent extremism (VE) trends and dynamics in the region.
