Nesse trabalho, comparamos a efici�ncia de um term�metro constru�do com o uso de uma placa Arduino com diversos term�metros usados na aquicultura. Comparamos, atrav�s do teste t, o comportamento do term�metro feito com Arduino, e os term�metros espeto, laser e multipar�metro. Conclu�mos que o multipar�metro pode ser substitu�do pelo term�metro feito com Arduino com um custo compat�vel com o term�metro espeto.

With the stable economic growth and rapid urban construction, urban metro is becoming the major transportation tool in medium and large scaled cities. Metro provides convenient and effective transportation services to the public. During the metro construction, water leakage issues occurred frequently and creates huge impacts on the construction and usage of metros. This paper analyzes the causes of metro station water leakage and states the detailed metro station foundation surface and waterproof layer construction techniques, waterproof techniques on construction joints and induction joints, concrete waterproof techniques and waterproof materials leaking stoppage techniques. It is critical to adopt scientific waterproof measures in construction which secure the metro construction quality. It has significant meanings to facilitate a sustainable development of metro construction corporates.

Resumen

The dockless bike-sharing system provides a convenient transfer option for metros, which can solve the “last mile” problem for passengers. However, the quality of bike-sharing transfer services around metro stations and its influencing factors are still unrevealed. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the bike-sharing transfer services for different metro stations considering spatial heterogeneity. First, the transfer ridership of bike-sharing around each metro station is calculated based on the trip data of the Mobike in Shanghai. Then, a geographically weighted regression (GWR) model is used to analyze the relationships between the transfer ridership and built environment features around each metro station. Given the GWR model, a spatially varying benchmark is established to independently evaluate the bike-sharing transfer service of each metro station based on the deviation between the actual transfer ridership and its benchmark. In this case, the metro stations whose actual bike-sharing transfer ridership is below the benchmark are identified as the objects that need to improve their bike-sharing transfer services. The results show that the benchmark derived from the GWR model varies from station to station depending on the metro ridership, population density, and cycleway density around the metro station. In addition, bike-sharing transfer services around metro stations are better in Xuhui District, Minhang District, and Huangpu District, and worse in Pudong District and Qingpu District. Therefore, this study is helpful for the government and operators to better optimize the connection between dockless bike-sharing and metros.

Resumen

Metros are usually built and added on the basis of a completed bus network in Chinese cities. After the metro construction, it is faced with the problem of how to adjust and optimize the original bus lines based on the new metro system. This research mainly proposes a bus line optimization method based on bus and metro integration. In the consideration of the geographical space, the cooperation and competition relationship between bus and metro lines is qualitatively introduced according to the geographical location and service range of metro (800 m radius) and bus (500 m radius) stations. The competition and cooperation indexes are applied to define the co-opetition relationship between bus and metro lines. The bus line optimization model is constructed based on the co-opetition coefficient and Changsha Metro Line Number 2 is chosen as a case study to verify the optimization model. The results show that the positive competition, efficient cooperation, and travel efficiency between metro and bus has been significantly enhanced after optimization. Moreover, this paper provides a reasonable reference for public transport network planning and resource allocation.

Resumen

This study was conducted to identify the strategies used by operators to provide a high level of service. The research distinguishes between punctuality and regularity of service and proposes that metro passengers primarily value regularity. The focus of this research is not on incident prevention, but on strategies that can be implemented after an incident to restore service swiftly and to minimize delay. The research identifies the recovery strategies used by six metros and summarizes advantages and disadvantages of these strategies. The influence of the type of delay on the choice of strategy is described. Similarly, the impact of constraints such as line length, service frequency, and passenger crowding on the effectiveness of each strategy is also discussed. It was found that it was generally sufficient to distinguish minor incidents, slow-moving delays, and major incidents. A case study shows that those metros with higher inbuilt flexibility can return more easily to normal service. This finding will have implications for metro management. The research has been carried out by the Railway Technology Strategy Centre at Imperial College London in collaboration with the Community of Metros benchmarking group. The performances and service qualities of six metros (three European, two American, and one Asian) have been analyzed and compared. The study consists of a quantitative analysis of the performance of two lines from each metro, together with a more qualitative assessment of the strategies used to optimize performance, through structured interviews with key operational and managerial staff.

Rapid transit systems or metros are a popular choice for high-capacity public transport in urban areas due to several advantages including safety, dependability, speed, cost, and lower risk of accidents. Existing studies on metros have not considered appropriate holistic urban transport models and integrated use of cutting-edge technologies. This paper proposes a comprehensive approach toward large-scale and faster prediction of metro system characteristics by employing the integration of four leading-edge technologies: big data, deep learning, in-memory computing, and Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). Using London Metro as a case study, and the Rolling Origin and Destination Survey (RODS) (real) dataset, we predict the number of passengers for six time intervals (a) using various access transport modes to reach the train stations (buses, walking, etc.); (b) using various egress modes to travel from the metro station to their next points of interest (PoIs); (c) traveling between different origin-destination (OD) pairs of stations; and (d) against the distance between the OD stations. The prediction allows better spatiotemporal planning of the whole urban transport system, including the metro subsystem, and its various access and egress modes. The paper contributes novel deep learning models, algorithms, implementation, analytics methodology, and software tool for analysis of metro systems.

Introduction. The distribution of residential and business functions density in relation to walking distances to metro stations was considered to determine their relationship with annual metro passenger flows. The aim of the study was to identify common dependencies typical for regional cities, including Novosibirsk, Ekaterinburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Samara. Understanding dependencies that determine metro passenger flows will help to identify optimal strategies for development of offstreet transport in regional cities.  Materials and methods. Open source data were used. Data on annual passenger metro traffic were provided by metro operators and the International Metro Association. The method of regression analysis was used to evaluate the relationship. The information was prepared and visualized using QGIS and Python.  Results. A positive correlation was identified between the density of residential areas and annual metro passenger flows as a result of the total evaluation of all cities. When evaluating the business function, the authors found that the greatest concentration of the number of corporate entities in the cities was focused in their administrative centres, or central business districts. A negative correlation between the average distance from all metro stations to administrative centres of cities (ACC), railway stations and annual metro passenger traffic was identified. Multiregression analysis showed that in all cities annual metro passenger flows were 69–90 % determined by the density of residential areas within walking distance of metro stations and the average distance from metro stations to ACC and the railway station. Independent variables are not multicollinear with each other.  Conclusions. A strong dependence between annual metro passenger flows and residential or business functions was obtained. These results describe the dependence characteristic of all regional cities that have metros. This information can be used to evaluate the prospects for the development of offstreet transport in regional cities of Russia in the process of updating their master plans. The direction for further research is to evaluate the contribution of the residential function to metro passenger flows separately for each radius of walking distance of stations.

The advent of dockless bike-sharing (DBS) represents an effective solution to enhance public transportation usage. However, despite growing interest in integrating DBS with metro systems, comprehensive studies on their competitive and cooperative relationships remain limited. This study aims to analyze the spatial, temporal, and mobility characteristics of metro-related DBS to explore integration opportunities. Initially, three modes of interaction between DBS and metros are identified: strong competition, weak competition, and feeder relationships. Subsequently, based on these relationships, the analysis focuses on distance, spatio-temporal patterns, and the scope of DBS activities. Results from Beijing indicate that metro-associated DBS primarily serves as “last-mile” solutions without significant short-range competition with metro systems. Strongly competitive relationships, on the other hand, are interaction patterns due to the dense overlay of metro stations and inconvenient transfer facilities and are mainly used for non-commuting purposes. Furthermore, weakly competing and feeder DBS systems exhibit similar commuting patterns, highlighting bicycling as a viable alternative to walking within metro catchment areas and that metro catchment areas should be adapted to bicycling. Mobility communities, identified as tightly integrated cycling hubs, are proposed as strategic dispatch zones to manage peak demands and reduce operational strain on DBS fleets. These findings deepen our understanding of DBS and metro system interactions, offering insights to optimize public transport operations and enhance urban mobility solutions.

Es muy usual que los usuarios del transporte público estén muy descontentos por el servicio que ofrecen, uno de los problemas que existe es el desorden y la aglomeración de personas que desean utilizar este medio. “Metro Ya” será la primera aplicación móvil capaz de agilizar tu viaje en estos medios de transporte, que permitirá al cliente obtener servicios como: recargas virtuales a través de tu tarjeta de crédito/ debito, disponibilidad de los buses y estaciones. Nuestro equipo humano estará conformado por profesionales responsables, creativos, entusiastas que tienen una visión muy ambiciosa de crecimiento no sólo dentro del territorio peruano, sino que también en países de Latinoamérica. Actualmente existen pocas iniciativas reales para mejorar la forma de pago del transporte público en Lima. Para los usuarios del Metropolitano y los Corredores de Lima es común realizar largas colas para comprar tarjetas, recargar, consultar saldo e ingresar a los buses. Esto genera disconformidad que afecta el buen servicio de ambos sistemas de transporte. Metrofácil ayuda a ahorrar tiempo ya que ofrece beneficios como consulta de saldo, recargar, rutas, horarios, anuncios de incidencia en las estaciones, y la opción de una tarjeta virtual. Nuestro mercado objetivo son personas que tienen un smartphone, utilizan aplicaciones móviles, están dispuestos a realizar transacciones en plataformas virtuales y cuentan con una tarjeta de débito o crédito. El mercado potencial estimado de usuarios diarios son 625 763 personas. Los canales que utilizaremos son la aplicación móvil, redes sociales y página web. Tendremos como recursos claves las alianzas con entidades bancarias y como socios claves el área técnica, entidades financieras y Protransporte. Como campaña de lanzamiento se realizarán activaciones en las principales estaciones del Metropolitano y publicidad por redes sociales, la cual consistirá en generar interacción del público. Se ha estimado que el valor actual del proyecto es de S/. 5,118,004 soles y nuestra TIR es de 80%. Además, el tiempo para poder recuperar la inversión sería de 2 años 10 meses. Confiamos en que este proyecto brindará solución a la insatisfacción de miles de usuarios y será un primer paso a la reforma de transporte que tanto necesita la ciudad de Lima. This generates disagreement that affects the good service of both transport systems. Metrofácil helps to save time since it offers benefits such as balance inquiry, recharge, routes, schedules, incidence announcements in the stations, and the option of a virtual card. Our target market is people who have a smartphone, use mobile applications, are willing to carry out transactions on virtual platforms and have a debit or credit card. The estimated potential market of daily users is 625 763 people. The channels we will use are the mobile application, social networks and web page. We will have as key resources alliances with banking entities and as key partners in the technical area, financial entities and Protransporte. As a launching campaign, activations will be made in the main stations of the Metropolitan and advertising by social networks, which will consist in generating public interaction. It has been estimated that the current value of the project is S /. 5,118,004 soles and our IRR is 80%. In addition, the time to recover the investment would be 2 years 10 months. We trust that this project will provide a solution to the dissatisfaction of thousands of users and will be a first step to the transportation reform that the city of Lima so badly needs. El presente proyecto es una plataforma web dedicada a facilitar el alquiler de espacios temporales para determinados eventos. Los propietarios de los inmuebles y los clientes son nuestros dos segmentos de clientes, en base a la investigación realizada son principalmente de Lima Moderna y provenientes del NSE “A” y “B”, ya que estos segmentos demandan un mayor número de espacios. Asimismo, se identificó que los usuarios tienen cada vez menos tiempo para acudir al local y desean que todo el proceso de alquiler sea virtual. Por ello, optan por realizar la búsqueda virtual a través de diversas plataformas web y redes sociales. En base a la tendencia de los negocios digitales se decidió desarrollar Metro Cuadrado con el fin de solucionar el problema identificado, mediante la creación de una plataforma web que conecte personas para el alquiler de espacios específicos. El proyecto mostrará los diversos espacios disponibles para alquiler en 3 categorías: terrazas, matrimonios/fiestas y conferencias/seminarios. Para poner en marcha este proyecto se hizo un análisis de la industria: consumidor, competidores y otros factores externos. Como resultado, luego de una inversión inicial de 15,249.49 soles; el proyecto genera flujos de efectivo positivos desde el segundo año, con una utilidad neta de S/ 32,107.23 y una rentabilidad de 18% para el tercer año. En base a los datos obtenidos vemos a Metro Cuadrado como una idea de negocio rentable y escalable con un valor de S/ 164,770 y un periodo de recuperación de la inversión de un año y ocho meses. This assignment is about the development of an E-commerce platform dedicated to facilitating rental services for three categories: Weddings and parties, business conferences and rooftops. For this business opportunity we have two types of clients: The Property owners and the clients interested in renting the spaces mentioned above. Conducting an investigation, we discovered that our target of clients are mainly from “Lima Moderna” and belong to the socioeconomic levels “A” and “B”. We also identified that these clients don’t have much free time to visit every space they would like to rent and that’s why they prefer to find these type of services online but maintaining the security and the quality of the process. Therefore, they choose to purchase products and services through various E-Commerce platforms and social networks. Based on the digital startups trend, we decided to develop “Metro Cuadrado” in order to solve the identified problem, which is the lack of flexibility of renting a space for a certain amount of time. By creating this platform, we give clients the opportunity to connect with specific spaces instantly and at the same time create another source of income for the owners. For the launch of this project, the following analysis was made: consumer habits and lifestyles, competitors and other external factors. In addition, we developed strategies which contain the necessary steps to be made for the viability of this project. As a result, after an initial investment of 15,249.49 soles; the project generates a positive cash flow on the second year, with an Net Profit of S/ 32,107 and a net margin of 18% for the third year. Based on the data obtained, we see “Metro Cuadrado” as a profitable and scalable business idea with a value of S/ 164,770 and a payback period of one year and eight months. Trabajo de investigación

Debido al incontrolado crecimiento de la ciudad y el desarrollo de sub-centros en la periferia o más allá de ésta, es motivo de atención considerar los problemas que se generan respecto a las distancias y, por consiguiente, accesos a determinadas zonas e infraestructura cuando la ciudad crece y se reconfigura constantemente de acuerdo a las necesidades y/o demandas de la población. La variada gama de flujos hacia el centro de Santiago o alrededores de éste exige permanentemente estrategias de abarcamiento y suministros de transporte capaces de solventar de la mejor manera la demanda de transporte público. El proyecto Metro en Santiago ha sido uno de los mecanismos que otorga una solución rápida, segura y limpia para hacer frente a este problema. Hoy en día se encuentra en proceso de expansión hacia comunas que realmente necesitan de este servicio. Su paulatina extensión en unos años más abarcará la segunda comuna más poblada de Chile y la que cuenta con uno de los mayores flujos hacia el centro de Santiago: la comuna de Maipú.

Resumen

Les voyageurs du métro sont désorientés lors de perturbations inopinées du trafic, comme un trafic interrompu en raison d'un bagage oublié. Nous examinons dans un premier temps la structure de ces désorientations, et l'expérience du métro en général. Nous postulons que l'expérience de désorientation, essentiellement temporelle durant les perturbations inopinées, partage des fondements fonctionnels avec la désorientation spatiale et engage divers degrés de conscience. Nous soutenons que l'expérience du métropolitain incarne la liminalité, marquée par les marges des structures temporelles, spatiales et sociales urbaines. Ces cadres théoriques sont ensuite approfondis à travers trois études empiriques. Par l'administration de questionnaires psychométriques en temps réel lors de perturbations du trafic, nous révélons que la désorientation des voyageurs est marquée par une dilatation temporelle, essentiellement en lien avec le sentiment d’agentivité. We first explore the structure of these disorientations and the general experience of metro travel. We posit that the fundamentally temporal experience of disorientation during unexpected disruptions shares functional underpinnings with spatial disorientation and manifests across various degrees of consciousness. We argue that the metro experience embodies liminality, characterised by the margins of urban temporal, spatial, and social structures. These theoretical frameworks are further explored through three empirical studies. By administering psychometric questionnaires during disruptions, we reveal that passengers’ disorientation is marked by a temporal dilation, essentially linked to the sense of agency. We also uncover how memories of disorientation experiences are compressed and distorted over time (study 1). We then validate an instrument to measure the transparency of disruption descriptions, enabling us to identify possible improvements in service quality (study 2). Finally, we generate an innovative dataset comprising hundreds of thousands of passenger responses to disruption announcements, which we analyse using a large language model and a phenomenological approach. The experience of disorientation, while secondary in the metro experience, articulates a three-stage emotional dynamic – perplexity, helplessness, anxiety – to which passenger information must respond (study 3)

Isso se torna ainda mais evidente quando existe a necessidade de se identificar as suas externalidades negativas, face às exigências da legislação ambiental e a pressão cada vez maior da sociedade, preocupada com a preservação do meio ambiente. Por sua vez, não se pode deixar de avaliar a importância dos trens urbanos e metrôs na melhoria da qualidade de vida da população, com a redução da emissão de poluentes, do consumo de combustíveis, dos tempos de viagem, do número de acidentes, entre outros. O presente trabalho se propôs a estudar os aspectos da gestão ambiental e o conjunto de ações voltadas à adequação de um sistema metroviário, no caso específico o Metrô do Recife, à legislação ambiental e ao comprometimento da organização, procurando um determinado estágio de excelência em relação ao meio ambiente, apresentando ainda, um estudo sobre as condições ambientais na fase de implantação do seu projeto de expansão, no trecho Rodoviária-Camaragibe, localizado na Região Metropolitana do Recife. A área de estudo foi escolhida pela diversidade dos aspectos ambientais inerentes, tal como a da particularidade do traçado da metrovia, que ocupa tanto regiões eminentemente urbanas, completamente antropizadas, quanto área de mata preservada, cabendo portanto, um estudo de impacto ambiental diferenciado com a adoção de medidas mitigadoras e compensatórias. Outro motivo foi a necessidade de estudos complementares envolvendo ações em regiões urbanas com intervenções no uso e ocupação do solo, segregação de populações pelo traçado da via, relocação de comunidades e planejamento metropolitano de transporte. Abstract A system of VLD's (Voltage Limiting Devices) is installed in the Copenhagen Metro traction system. The purpose of having these VLD’s is electrical safety. At every Metro station a "57-VLD” is installed. The VLD's will be switched on automatically if the potential at the running rail exceeds the potential at the earthing system by more than 90 volt. Such incidents are not very common according to Metroselskabet(1), and the duration of such short-circuiting incidents is short. In addition to the automatic activation of VLDs every night for five days a week, maintenance work is also carried out at specific parts of the Metro track system. This maintenance is scheduled where specific parts of the track system are taken out of service for about 5 hours. During these periods the VLD's in each end of the mentioned sections are switched on for the safety of the workers. Even when one VLD is switched on (possible scenario for the automatic activation), the track system is changed from being electrically “floating” to a system where stray currents may enter or leave the track system through the VLD. The paper presents A risk evaluation of stray current corrosion risk for the Metroa mathematical simulation of the electrical currents where a number of the “57- VLD’s” are activated.Monitoring results of the track system during periods where a number of the “57-VLD’s” are activated. The monitoring results are in line with the mathematical simulation of the electrical currents and it is found that VLDs comprise a considerable corrosion risk that should be considered.

Abstract Delhi Metro is the first Metro in the world to provide 25 kV AC Rigid Overhead Conductor System (ROCS) in underground Tunnel. Most of the metros worldwide runs on 1500 V DC. The Elevated section of Delhi Metro is also provided with 25 kV AC Flexible OHE systems. The system is designed in accordance with EN-50119, 50122. MRTS system plays an important role in functioning of the city transport. In the national capital of India, the Delhi Metro has become lifeline of Delhi since it’s inauguration in December 2002. Even occasional disruption of services, not only creates inconvenience & chaos between commuters but also invites severe criticism from public & media. A number of failures in flexible OHE have caused disruption of metro services in the past few years. In elevated & at grade sections, DMRC is using conventional 25 kV AC flexible OHE where contact wire is suspended from a stranded messenger wire. Detailed analysis of the failure incidents indicated that catenaries’ parting and strands breakages due to short circuit contribute a significant portion i.e. 49% of total flexible OHE failures, While ROCS in underground stations is giving almost trouble-free services. Exploration of the possibilities of adopting Rigid OCS in elevated section shall help in reducing the breakdowns in 25kV traction as this will eliminate the component (i.e. Messenger wire) which is responsible for major failure. Also, mechanical properties of ROCS during electrical faults are far superior to that of flexible OHE.

This paper examines how the effects of transit improvements vary with land use policies using the case of Bengaluru, one of India’s largest cities with a metro system and subject to low floor-area ratios. We build a quantitative spatial model and show that the metro system increases citywide output and welfare, even net of costs. How does the proximity to a metro station affect urban development in Latin America? While the literature assessing the causal impacts of transportation infrastructure has grown in recent years, only a few papers have focused on the effects of metro systems in the Latin America and the Caribbean region, and identifying the precise impacts of such investments is far from straightforward. We apply a Synthetic Difference-in-Differences (SDiD) approach to estimate the effects of the expansion of Line 5 of the São Paulo metro system in Brazil on land use and property features. Our results show positive impacts on constructed area, with a treatment effect that is half the magnitude of the average constructed area in untreated units in the pre-treatment period. Additionally, our findings indicate an increase in the number of properties around the stations, with a shift in property composition towards more commercial units. We also find a strong anticipation effect associated with the new metro infrastructure and dynamic impacts after the opening of the first metro station, with effects that increase over time.
