Resumen
In this paper, I discuss transnational mobility using a perspective that emphasises conflicts at macro, mezzo and micro levels while seeking ways in which such a conflict model of migration can be devel-oped. I outline areas involving different degrees of conflict which are better seen on a continuous scale ranging from potential and latent tensions to violent conflicts and wars. Conflict aspects contribute to the dynamic nature of transnational human movements and, at the same time, appear to be antithet-ical to globalisation. The tensions/conflicts at individual, household, community, and st

In the wireless communication market, Internet of Things is one of the major issues. Internet of Things is a technology which connects all objects to the Internet and enables to share the information of the objects with each other. Also, energy harvesting for batteryless devices is also one of the new issues in order to realize Internet of Things. Through the realization of Internet of Things, all objects can connect to the Internet and share own information with each other. A number of devices, including sensors, mobile phones, and various computers will be deployed in next generation vehicles, and interconnected through an embedded in-vehicle network. These vehicles will be connected to the Internet as both a step toward ubiquitous computing and as a means to meet Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) needs. At first, a communication system is required to connect vehicles to the Internet. Such communication system is investigated in our InternetCAR project. For flexibility and ease of use, we advocate IPv6. This paper particularly focus on network mobility si

Massive datasets that capture human movements and social interactions have catalyzed rapid advances in our quantitative understanding of human behavior during the past years. One important aspect affecting both areas is the critical role space plays. Indeed, growing evidence suggests both our movements and communication patterns are associated with spatial costs that follow reproducible scaling laws, each characterized by its specific critical exponents. Although human mobility and social networks develop concomitantly as two prolific yet largely separated fields, we lack any known relationshi

This article contains a presentation of the theoretical and methodological premises of various kinds of mobile social research in the city. The departure point is to treat moving as a characteristic of contemporary socio-cultural life, as in the premises of the mobility paradigm. Mobility is described as the context for experiencing the urban space and the point of departure for mobile social research. The traits and various types of such research are indicated, including the principles that connect them with visual research techniques. ‘Walking with video’ is used as an example. The author re

Nowadays, Balikpapan is one of the cities growing quite rapidly, including the level of society mobility. If it is not anticipated, this could lead Balikpapan becomes a crowded city such as Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung and others. One of public transportation in Balikpapan is angkot which has capacity only about 10 passengers. Others are taxi and online transportation such as Gojek, Go-Car, and Grab.

Digital media is changing the ways in which religion is practiced, understood, proselytised and countered. Religious institutions and leaders use digital media to engage with their congregations who now are not confined to single locations and physical structures. The faithful are part of online communities which allow them a space to worship and to find fellowship. Migrant and mobile subjects thus are able to be connected to their faith -- whether home grown or emerging -- wherever they may be, providing them with an anchor in unfamiliar physical and cultural surroundings. The first-mile, last-mile problem is a significant deterrent for potential transit riders, especially in suburban neighborhoods with low density. Transit agencies have typically sought to solve this problem by adding parking spaces near transit stations and adding stops to connect riders to fixed-route transit. However, these measures are often only short-term solutions. In the last few years, transit agencies have tested whether new mobility services, such as ridehailing, ridesharing, and microtransit, can offer fast, reliable connections to and from transit stations. The rapid growth in population and related demand for travel during the past few decades has had a catalytic effect on traffic congestion, air quality, and safety in many urban areas. However, there are no widely accepted methods, nor there is enough evidence to justify whether such plans are instrumental in improving mobility of the transportation system. Resumen
With the funding programme Talents, the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) supports people in applied research throughout their entire career. The overarching goal is to increase the utilisation of human potential in the application-oriented, scientific and technical RTI sector. The programme objectives are 1) to inspire young people for research and development, 2) to connect researchers with the economic sector, 3)to guarantee equal opportunities for all. Within the framework of three fields of intervention, there are various p

Resumen
Increased production rates and cost reduction are affecting manufacturing in all sectors of the mobility industry. One enabling methodology that could achieve these goals in the burgeoning “Industry 4.0” environment is the deterministic assembly (DA) approach. The DA approach is defined as an optimized assembly process; it always forms the same final structure and has a strong link to design-for-assembly and design-for-automation methodologies. It also looks at the whole supply chain, enabling drastic savings at the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) level by reducing recurring costs and le

Resumen
Truck platoons have many benefits over traditional truck mobility. Truck platoons have the potential to improve safety and reduce fuel consumption between 5% and 15%, based on platoon configuration. In Illinois, trucks carry more than 50% of freight tonnage and constitute 25% of the traffic on interstates. Therefore, expected fuel savings would be significant for trucks. Deployment of truck platoons within interstate highways may have a direct effect on flexible pavement performance, as the time between consecutive axle loads (i.e., resting time) is expected to decrease significantly.
