Resumen
This article deals with the challenge of travel as a category of the philosophy of transport in the unity of its ontological, epistemological, social and existential characteristics. Travel has its own ontology: this is a kind of beingness, defined as being-on-the-move. A trip becomes a travel through the reflection of an individual going on the trip. Travel has epistemological potential, it activates the cognitive activity of a person, creates new meanings and value paradigms. Travel is a social value as a means of transforming habitual social roles, destroying stereotypes, educating the abil

It is not exclusive to face-to-face care but complements face-to-face care and other forms of medical care. It has advantages such as facilitating home therapy, reducing patient travel time and costs, and empowering patients. This makes equitable access to care feasible. Clinical studies have been conducted on telemedicine in nephrology outpatient care, inpatient consultations and hemodialysis, indicating that telemedicine can improve patient satisfaction, leading to enhanced treatment

Floating car data are beneficial in estimating traffic conditions in wide areas and are playing an increasing role in traffic surveillance. However, widespread application is limited by low-sample frequency which makes it hard to get a complete picture of a vehicle’s motion. An accurate and reliable reconstruction of a vehicle’s trajectory could effectively result in a higher sampling frequency enabling a more accurate estimation of road traffic parameters. Existing methods require additional information such as nearby vehicles, signal timing strategies, and queue patterns which are not always

Abstract. This registered report aims at replicating the so-called “mnemonic time-travel” effect. Aksentijevic, Brandt, Tsakanikos, and Thorpe (2019) reported that memory was improved when their participants experienced backward motion before a memory test in comparison to when they experienced forward motion or no motion. This finding was interpreted as suggesting that backward motion brought individuals back to the moment of encoding. In the original study, the mnemonic time-travel effect was robustly found with various types of backward motion (real, simulated, and imagined). Such a spectac

The literature has customarily defined interaction between pictured objects in two ways. First, interaction has been defined as simply a conjoined union or physical touching of objects within a given picture scene. The second definition portrays interaction as predetermined action or implied motion between the pictured objects. Researchers typically assume these two modes of defining interaction as essentially equivalent. Generally stated, the purpose of this study was to uncover the effect that implied motion has on the processing of visual information. A factorial design was conducted with d

This thesis proposes that the temporality of the moving image is not just its basic condition, but also an alterable stylistic parameter. By analysing three broad stylistic categories of cinema - Classical Continuity-editing, Montage, and Long Take - it is demonstrated that the time of a sequence or shot operates as an active element within the formal fabric of the work. Beyond this, it shows that these film styles may in fact be defined by the characteristic ways in which they treat time. Methodologically, it adapts concepts from the philosophies of Gilles Deleuze, Henri Bergson and Hans Geor

AbstractYaw resonances cause the rear-end of the vehicle to swing, which is related to the feeling of handling. As a basis for improving this motion, this paper considers the restoration of yaw resonance. The equilibrium position of the yaw resonance is the extension of the velocity vector at the “heading point,” where the vehicle median line is perpendicular to the turning radius in a steady state turn. Toward this position, the center of percussion at the rear-end of the vehicle travels. This travel is the restoration of yaw. Observing the vehicle behavior from the earth-fixed coordinate sys

Abstract The article presents a robust nonlinear compensation algorithm for realizing large travel in magnetic suspension systems suffering from parameter variations, and external disturbance forces. A geometric feedback linearization technique that utilizes the complete nonlinear description of the electromagnetic field distribution is employed to obtain large travel. Robustness to uncertainties in the feedback linearized system is achieved through the development of a discrete time delay control based compensation algorithm. In comparison to previous developments, the new scheme removes the
