Texto completoVerbal language has traditionally been communicated by two means: speech and writing. In the twentieth century, however, a third means came into existence: transmitted language. Initially this consisted mostly of language “spoken at a distance” (telephone, radio, cinema, television), but it then extended to include language “written at a distance” (Internet sites, electronic mail, online chat, SMS). Technological progress was followed by a transformation of the language, and the code has been adapted to the different media used to convey it. Electronic technologies of the word, as Spina notes (2001: 31), have given a new impetus to the oral mode of communication, based on the spoken word.At the end of the 19th century, the invention of the telephone was a real breakthrough, allowing the creation of new, and previously unavailable, forms of communication. Today, little more than a century later, the phone has exceeded even its traditional limitations and to the transmission of sound has been added the ability to write short text messages, and even to send e-mail. The spread of SMS communication has transformed an instrument devoted to oral exchange into a technology of writing: in fact, the originality of the support allows text messaging, despite its written nature, to reproduce the morphological structures of oral interaction. Thus, the speed of composing the message is not the only property that allows texting to approach orality: the syntax is often seen as rather basic, with a predominance of parataxis and elliptical constructions rather than hypotaxis, features that are typical of spoken discourse. But texting also plays on communicative purpose by adopting a more informal register and thus fostering a new language. The present thesis, while not the first study to analyze a corpus of SMS, is surely one of the first to compare the types of processes found in both languages, French and Italian, in order to define parallel mechanisms and differences

Texto completoIn this bachelor thesis, we investigate how, with the help of virtual reality (VR), we can create a factory environment and experience that increases the safety thinking for new employees at Volvo in Olofström. The survey is based on our collaboration with Volvo and their own factory, which is in focus where they have wanted a safety training in VR for their new employees and pedestrians in the factory. With the help of the design perspective digital didactic design, we have been able to put the focus on learning in practice, to plan and create activities for someone so that the user in question can acquire new knowledge. The question in this study is "How to create a factory environment within VR that promotes learning." With the help of the methods we chose for the design process, we were able to design a factory that simulates theirs and also promote learning for safety thinking, which was an important part to gain insight into. The result of our research is that we have created a prototype with the help of the game engine Unity through this process that takes the user through a lively and hectic factory environment that reflects what we ourselves have experienced through our observations when we visited Volvo in Olofström. Through our research in VR security, we have raised our understanding of what opportunities VR has in learning and to convey information. Strategic Planning is one of the most used management tools for organizations, to translate strategy, define their objectives, identify existing bottlenecks and project to the necessary changes, for the growth of the organization and its permanence in the market. Indicators are allied to planning and essential to process control, because they make it possible to establish and monitor the achievement of goals, to correct problems and to suggest propositions. In this way, one can see the importance of measuring the results, either to refer to values or to serve as an element of control. The objective of this study is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the actions outlined in the strategic planning of the Nursing School of Manaus, through the performance management tool 6Es. The research about the nature was characterized as of the applied type that has practical purpose, as far as the means, bibliographical and documentary. Regarding the purpose, the research was descriptive, and in the form of approach was qualitative and quantitative. The research results showed that the applied methodology allowed to quantify the actions and to visualize the achievement or not of the goals. In the case of the unit studied, the results showed a high degree of effectiveness in the years surveyed, however, some isolated projects were no longer carried out, as well as the environmental guideline that obtained an effectiveness considered low, around 30%. Overall, the result showed that the unit met the targets set in the strategic planning for the period 2012- 2015.
O Planejamento Estratégico é uma das ferramentas de gestão mais utilizadas pelas organizações, para traduzir a estratégia, definir seus objetivos, identificar os gargalos existentes e se projetar às mudanças necessárias, para o crescimento da organização e sua permanência no mercado. Os indicadores são aliados do planejamento e essenciais ao controle dos processos, porque possibilitam estabelecer e acompanhar o alcance das metas, corrigir problemas e sugerir proposições. Desse modo, percebe-se a importância de se mensurar os resultados, seja para referenciar valores ou servir de elemento de controle. O objetivo deste estudo consiste em evidenciar a efetividade das ações delineadas no planejamento estratégico da Escola de Enfermagem de Manaus, por meio da ferramenta de gestão 6Es de desempenho. A pesquisa quanto a natureza foi caracterizada como do tipo aplicada que possui finalidade prática, quanto aos meios, bibliográfica e documental. Quanto à finalidade, a pesquisa foi descritiva, e na forma de abordagem foi qualitativa e quantitativa. O resultado da pesquisa demonstrou que a metodologia aplicada permitiu quantificar as ações e visualizar o atingimento ou não das metas. No caso da unidade estudada, o resultado demonstrou alto grau de efetividade nos anos pesquisados, contudo, alguns projetos isolados deixaram de ser realizados, como da diretriz ambiental que obteve uma efetividade considerada baixa, em torno de 30%. De maneira geral o resultado demonstrou que a unidade alcançou as metas estabelecidas no planejamento estratégico do período de 2012 a 2015.

Esta pesquisa fornece elementos para uma reflexão a todos os que ainda se emocionam em transmitir conhecimento e, ao mesmo tempo aprender grandes lições de vida como humildade, generosidade e, a emoção do aprender "com" o outro. Através das narrativas dos alunos, verifica-se alguns constrangimentos sociais que estes jovens e adultos, excluídos do processo escolar, mas inseridos no mundo do trabalho, toleram diariamente. Tais constrangimentos que os levam a ingressarem no Curso de Educação de Jovens e Adultos em busca de um conhecimento sistematizado, pois já trazem consigo conhecimentos construídos em sua trajetória de vida e que devem ser considerados pelos educadores.

Texto completoThe Pervasive Computing has been studied on several papers in the last years. This emergent research area presents a vision of future where computational services will be available through uncountable devices scattered across the environment. This service network will be exposed to the users by both traditional wired computers and mobile devices. This distribution of the computing is going to happen smoothly and transparently to the users. Personal data, computer programs, and data files will be available anywhere, anytime. The processing power will be an environment resource and will be accessed whenever needed, in the same way which is the electricity nowadays. The users will no longer need to worry about where their program is being executed, as long as he gets the needed result. The ISAM group believes that this new reality will be achieved through the alliance of research areas such as Grid Computing, Mobile Computing and Context-Aware Computing. The Context-Aware Computing aims to enrich the communication between human being and computer devices. Context-aware applications are capable of recognize the changes on the environment and adapt its own behavior to the new context state. This process can be divided in tree steps: monitoring, context recognition and adaptation. On the monitoring layer, environment information is collected from sensors. Those sensors, however, usually return only low level information, which is hardly used by the applications on its original form. The context recognition layer processes the data acquired from the context and transforms into information aimed to be useful to the adaptation process. With that information the adaptation system can identify the correct behavior for the application on each different context situation. This dissertation propose a context server named MultiS, which target is to solve the problems related to context recognition layer: the production of new context data based on the information of several sensors and the capability of react to changes on the environment. It also presents a new programming language for composition of contextual information, named CD-XML. This language is used by the context-aware applications to communicate to the context server describing which information the application is sensible to.
