Zusammenfassung: Die vorliegende Studie überprüft, inwieweit die Klinische Psychologie - Psychotherapie sich mit den älteren Menschen im gleichen Umfang wie mit anderen Altersgruppen befaßt. Dazu wurden Einzelfalldarstellungen in 11 Fachzeitschriften mit den Sprachen Deutsch/Englisch und unterschiedlicher inhaltlicher Akzentuierung (allgemeine, verhaltenstherapeutische und psychoanalytische Fachzeitschriften), 9 Fallbücher und 215 Fallberichte aus einem Weiterbildungsgang für Klinische Psychologie/Psychotherapie bezüglich der Variable Alter analysiert; zusätzlich wurde bei den Fachzeitschriften auch bei den Gruppenstudien die Altersvariable miteinbezogen. Der Vergleich der Daten mit statistischen Bevölkerungswerten weist auf eine deutliche Vernachlässigung der Altersgruppe über 60 Jahre hin. Diese Tatsache ist forschungs- und berufspolitisch bedauerlich.

SON-R 2½-7 je baterie pro měření fluidní inteligence určena pro děti ve věku 2;4 až 7;7 let. Jedná se o třetí revizi neverbálního inteligenčního testu původně určeného neslyšícím dětem. Později došlo k rozšíření metody i pro děti slyšící a poslední revize už obsahuje normy obecné. Svými autory je test považován za kulturně univerzální právě díky neverbální povaze, která na testované dítě neklade specifické nároky v podobě jazykových schopností.Dle našeho názoru je metoda použitelná v oblasti klinické, školní a poradenské psychologie. Omezená je pouze svou menší diferenciační schopností na obou koncích věkového rozložení. Kromě PPP a dalších specializovaných center najde využití i ve výzkumu. Vhodné je SON-R 2½ – 7 používat jako potvrzení výsledků předešlých metod či v situacích, kdy nelze administrovat běžnější inteligenční test. Metodu považujeme za kvalitní a je podle nás škoda, že česká adaptace nedosahuje kvalit odpovídajících testu samotnému, čímž jeho interpretační možnosti spíše narušuje.

Paměťový test učení představuje jednu z nejpoužívanějších metod určenou k měření různých aspektů paměti využitelnou v řadě oblastí aplikované psychologie. Tato skutečnost spolu s jednoduchostí a rychlostí administrace PTU patří mezi klady metody.České vydání nicméně trpí některými nedostatky. Předně jsou české normy v manuálu dostupné pouze pro děti ve věku 9-14 let a pro zbylou populaci jsou normy orientační, převzaté ze zahraničí. Tyto normy se liší v mnoha parametrech (věk, pohlaví, množství zahrnutých aspektů testu apod.) a je tedy poměrně obtížné posoudit jejich kvalitu a vybrat normu pro interpretaci výsledků konkrétního probanda. Autor pro tento výběr nezmiňuje žádný postup. Fakt, že již 4 roky existují normy pro českou populaci ve věku 20-85 let zatím v manuálu není reflektován, jelikož od vydání v roce 1999 nedošlo k jeho oficiálnímu přepracování.Další nevýhodou je neuspokojivý popis důkazů o validitě a reliabilitě, které sice lze najít v zahraniční literatuře, nicméně tyto zdroje nemusí být pro běžného uživatele testu dobře dostupné

Zusammenfassung. Das Interesse an Kriterien und eignungsdiagnostischen Verfahren zur Auswahl von Studierenden im Rahmen der Hochschulzulassung hat in den vergangenen Jahren im deutschsprachigen Raum stark zugenommen. Während die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie (1997) Auswahlgesprächen kritisch gegenübersteht, wird der Einsatz dieser Verfahrensklasse von verschiedenen Hochschulvertretern und Bildungspolitikern befürwortet. Zur Bestimmung der prognostischen Validität von Interviews im Rahmen der Hochschulzulassung wird eine Metaanalyse von k = 44 Einzelstudien durchgeführt, die Auswahlgespräche als Prädiktor und Studiennoten als Erfolgskriterium berücksichtigen. Die mittlere korrigierte Validität von Interviews beträgt ρ = .16. Von insgesamt 11 geprüften Moderatoren der Validität erweist sich der Strukturiertheitsgrad der Interviews als bedeutsam. Unstrukturierte Interviews erreichen eine korrigierte Validität von ρ = .11 gegenüber einer korrigierten Validität von ρ = .21 für strukturierte Varianten dieser Verfahrensklasse. Die für strukturierte und unstrukturierte Auswahlgespräche berechneten Validitätskoeffizienten sind generalisierbar. Die inkrementelle Validität von Auswahlgesprächen gegenüber Schulnoten und Studierfähigkeitstests ist gering.

Mal um Mal hat Fernand Braudel die Einheit der »sciences de l'homme«, der Wissenschaften von Menschen, beschworen. Immer wieder hat er hervorgehoben, in welchem Ausmaß die Geschichtsforschung dieses Jahrhunderts von der Geographie, der Psychologie,der Soziologie, Ökonomie, Ethnologie und Biologie gelernt habe, um dann jeweils darauf hinzuweisen, wie unverzichtbar die Geschichtswissenschaft für die Gesellschafts- und Humanwissenschaften sei (1969, Teil II). Dies nicht nur, weil sie dazu befähige, allzu kurzgriffige Fragestellungen zu vermeiden, sondern vor allem, weil die Geschichtsforschung die »einzige Verifikationsmöglichkeit« für die Schlußfolgerungen der Gesellschaftswissenschaften biete (III, S. 11). Braudel geht jedoch noch weiter und vertritt das Projekt einer Einheit der Sozialwissenschaften.

Adaptivní Maticový Test (AMT) v rámci Vídeňského testového systému (VTS) je neverbální počítačově administrovanou metodou určenou k měření obecné inteligence, z hlediska CHC teorie (např. Carroll, 1993) k měření inteligence fluidní, konkrétně schopnosti induktivního usuzování. Test je určen pro neklinickou populaci v řadě kontextů, od dopravní psychologie přes personalistiku až po neuropsychologická vyšetření. AMT využívá řady předností moderních psychometrických postupů (adaptivní testování, dosažení shodné úrovně přesnosti měření nezávisle na úrovni měřeného rysu, ochrana položkové banky před nadměrnou expozicí apod.) a pro administrátora testu je uživatelsky příjemnou metodou. Test, respektive testová příručka, kterou čtenář dostává spolu s testem k dispozici (jak v české, tak anglické verzi), však trpí řadou nedostatků. Česká verze manuálu je z hlediska poskytování úplných a kvalitních informací pro uživatele testu zcela nedostatečná. Chybí informace o reliabilitě vyjma vnitřní konzistence, o důkazech validity, o normách, o procesu vývoje testu a jednotlivých položek či informace spojené s položkovou analýzou. Na AMT lze ocenit inovativnost, příjemnost použití, adaptivní povahu a (tušené) solidní racionále pro tvorbu položek a předpokládané fungování testu. Testové materiály jsou však neadekvátní a působí nedokončeným dojmem – především česká verze manuálu, kterou rozhodně nelze doporučit pro užívání. Z uvedených důvodů tedy doporučujeme užívat test AMT jen velmi obezřetně k orientačnímu měření fluidní inteligence – alespoň do chvíle, kdy bude manuál testu doplněn o informace, které získání důvěry v deklarované kvality testu náležitě podpoří.

Zusammenfassung. Interessen sind in der Berufs- und pädagogischen Psychologie, nicht aber in der Sportpsychologie, ein zentrales Persönlichkeitskonstrukt zur Erklärung menschlichen Erlebens und Verhaltens. Der Sportinteressentest (SPIT) ist auf der Basis der Theorie von Holland (1997) und der Konditionsfaktoren Ausdauer, Schnelligkeit, Koordination und Kraft zur Erfassung sportbezogener Interessen entwickelt und an 1 243 Jugendlichen teststatistisch überprüft worden. In konfirmatorischen Faktorenanalysen erwiesen sich 11 Skalen als eindimensional; ihre interne Konsistenz schwankte zwischen .71 und .87. Die Korrelationen des SPIT mit dem Allgemeinen Interessen-Struktur-Test ( Bergmann & Eder, 2005 ) und den Skalen zur Erfassung des physischen Selbstkonzepts ( Stiller, Würth & Alfermann, 2004 ) fielen weitgehend erwartungskonform aus. Mit dem SPIT liegt ein Verfahren vor, das sich zum Screening multidimensionaler Interessenprofile und zur Beschreibung jugendlicher Zielgruppen im Freizeit- und Gesundheitssport anbietet.

RÉSUMÉUne caractéristique essentielle de la découverte scientifique est l’utilisation d’inscriptions visuelles (p. ex. graphiques, illustrations) facilitant l’analyse des données, leur interprétation et leur communication (p. ex. Latour, 1990 ; Lynch, 1985). L’objectif de cette recherche était d’examiner les types d’inscriptions visuelles utilisés pour la présentation de données dans les revues scientifiques en gérontologie. Nous avons comparé 357 articles publiés entre 1995 et 2009 qui ont été échantillonnés à partir de 24 revues de gérontologie avec comités de pairs. Approximativement 11 pour cent de l’espace d’impression était consacré à la présentation de données ; les tableaux occupaient comparativement plus d’espace (9,13 %) que les graphiques (2,32 %). L’utilisation des graphiques dans les articles en gérontologie était inférieure à celle observée pour les articles en psychologie (6,6 % de l’espace d’impression), mais supérieure à celle retrouvée en criminologie ou en justice criminelle (1,7 % de l’espace d’impression). À l’instar de Latour (1990), nous soutenons que les figures représentent un résumé accessible de données complexes, permettant ainsi une présentation efficace de résultats multidimensionnels. Lorsque les inscriptions visuelles sont utilisées dans la dissémination des résultats, les chercheurs deviennent moins dépendants du jargon statistique et peuvent communiquer plus aisément avec divers publics (chercheurs, professionnels de la santé, clients).

Comment accéder aux points de vue des enfants ? Ce dossier analyse les défis méthodologiques que rencontrent les chercheurs qui travaillent sur les pratiques et représentations enfantines. Il a pour objectif, en donnant à voir diverses manières de faire face à ces défis, de participer au renouveau épistémique des études sur les enfants. Il s’agit en effet d’analyser les spécificités induites par le statut enfantin tout en rendant compte de la diversité de l’enfance. Cette perspective suppose la mise en place d’une méthodologie qui permette de placer la focale sur l’enfant sans l’isoler de son environnement. Ce dossier rassemble six contributions issues de différentes disciplines (sociologie, psychologie, science politique et géographie), qui reviennent sur des enquêtes menées auprès d’enfants ayant pour la plupart entre 5 et 11 ans, avec des dispositifs méthodologiques variés : questionnaires (Camus, Geay et Pagis ; Simon), observations au sein des familles ou à l’école (Lareau et Harvey ; Hargis), entretiens semi-directifs (Simon ; Ott ; Rouyer et al.), discussions de groupe (Ott), activités, dessins et jeux (Rouyer et al. ; Ott ; Simon ; Camus, Geay et Pagis). Depuis maintenant plus d'un siècle, soit depuis la parution en 1863 de la monographie de J. Freudenthal (Über den Begriff des Wortes øαντασια bei Aristoteles, Göttingen), la tendance générale des interprèetes qui se sont intéressés à l'imagination chez Aristote aura été, sans conteste, de privilégier l'examen du De anima III 3 et de certains textes des Parva naturalia afin de rendre compte de son rôle à l'intérieur de la psychologie aristotélicienne. Ce faisant, on a laissé quelque peu dans l'ombre, consciemment ou non, peu importe, la fonction de l'imagination dans l'explication du mouvement animal et de l'action humaine qu'Aristote nous a léguée essentiellement dans le De motu animalium et le De anima III 7, 9–11. Certes, étant donné l'importance de l'imagination en ces questions, certains exégètes n'ont pas manqué de s'y arrêter, mais la rareté des commentaires sur ces sujets, tout spéecialement le premier, et la possibilité d'apporter de nouveaux éclaircissements nous incitent àen reprendre l'examen. Nous traiterons d'abord du rôle de l'imagination dans l'explication du mouvement animal, puis dans celle, plus complexe, de l'action proprement humaine où l'imagination, de prime abord, pourrait sembler avoir une fonction préjudiciable à l'action réfléchie. Pour effacer ce soupçon à l'égard de la pensée du Stagirite, que bien des philosophes auront manifesté dans l'histoire, il nous faudra, notamment, discuter la question du bien apparent et du bien comme tel en regard de l'imagination délibérative.

Die Entwicklung der Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie zu einer eigenständigen medizinischen Disziplin erstreckt sich über einen Zeitraum von mehr als 100 Jahren. Ihre Wurzeln sind jedoch weit älter. Psychiatrie und Pädiatrie können als ihre Mutterdisziplinen angesehen werden. Aber auch außerhalb der Medizin waren Pädagogik, Philosophie, Psychologie, Rechts- und Sozialwissenschaften für ihre Entwicklung bedeutsam. Im Nationalsozialismus unterlag die Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie einer verheerenden Fehlentwicklung, die mit systematischen Tötungsaktionen von Kindern in so genannten «Kinderfachabteilungen» einherging. Diese Vorgeschichte erschwerte ihre Entwicklung in der Nachkriegszeit, die, entsprechend den vorherrschenden Zeitströmungen in Westdeutschland, chronologisch in mehrere sich teilweise überlappende Phasen eingeteilt werden kann: (1) Orientierungssuche und Reorganisation, (2) Jahrzehnt des Aufbaus und der Verunsicherungen, (3) Jahrzehnt der Sozialpsychiatrie und antipsychiatrischer Strömungen, (4) Jahrzehnt der Psychiatriereformen, (5) Jahrzehnt der Rückbesinnung auf die biologische Psychiatrie und (6) Jahrzehnt der Integration unterschiedlicher Denk- und Handlungsweisen. 1968 wurde die Selbstständigkeit des Faches durch eine eigene Gebietsbezeichnung untermauert, die sich positiv auf die Weiterentwicklung des Faches auswirkte. In der Nachkriegsentwicklung der deutschen Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie spielte die Marburger Universitätsklinik eine wesentliche Rolle (erster Lehrstuhl für Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie 1958 in Westdeutschland), die sich in wichtigen Impulsen zur Verbesserung der Versorgung, in Forschungsinitiativen, in Initiativen in der Lehre sowie im Aufbau internationaler Kooperationen zeigte. Ausdruck dieser waren u. a. die Organisation des 11. ESCAP-Kongresses 1999 in Hamburg und des 16. IACAPAP-Weltkongresses 2004 in Berlin.

This study investigated psychological problems and needs for school psychologist’s consultation in 7th, 9th, and 11th grade students. Students (N = 594) filled out a short survey where they rated the degree of their psychological problems (e.g., test anxiety, mood, learning problems, problems with parents, etc.) and a desire to receive consultation with the school psychologist about existing or potential problems. Regardless of age, students gave the highest ratings to test anxiety, problems with mood, and career choice. Girls demonstrated higher test anxiety and more negative mood compared to boys. Seventh grade students reported higher test anxiety than their older peers. Students indicated lower levels of problems with parents, peers, and learning. Nevertheless, 9th grade students reported higher levels of learning problems than 11th graders. About 7% of students reported frequent suicidal ideation. However, the majority of students from the total sample (80%) did not consider consulting the school psychologist regarding suicidality. Even fewer students were willing to consult with the school psychologist about test anxiety, mood, and learning problems. These findings can be used to improve school psychology services, design interventions, and provide psychoeducation to students.

This book is part of a Springer series on Women in the History of Philosophy and Sciences that attempted to balance sexism in science and the so-called “Matilda” effect (denial or minimization of the scientific contribution of women researchers to the benefit of their male colleagues). I’m clearly not a specialist in the deep philosophical work discussed by the contributors of this book, and thus will not give a fully technical review, but I was strongly curious to learn more about Gerda Walther (1897-1977). Indeed, she was for me the famous “secretary of the Baron von Schrenck-Notzing” (1862-1929), one of the main psychical researchers of the modern era (Mulacz, 2013; Sommer, 2012; Wolffram, 2006). For my own historical research (Evrard, 2016), I read a lot of correspondence between Walther and members of the Institut métapsychique international in the archives of this French research group and in the archives of the Institut für Grenzgebiete der Psychologie und Psychohygiene in Freiburg-im-Breisgau. But I didn’t have any clue about the wide dimension of this character and her importance for the history of philosophy as a brilliant student and continuator of Edmund Husserl. The book provides probably the best overview of her life and philosophy. In the first part “The life and work of Gerda Walther”, Rodney Parker gives “a sketch of her life” (3-9); and Marina Pia Pellegrino writes about the general orientation of her phenomenological approach of “traces of lived experiences” (11-24).

The article presents an analysis of the research conducted among students of the faculty of psychology. The purpose is to study the place and role of the psychological service of the school (school psychologist) in the overall process of educational socialization of yesterday's schoolchildren. The study involved 123 students. The geography of the schools where the respondents studied were extremely wide – from Kyiv to the small village of Novosilki (Kyiv, Poltava, Odessa, Khmelnytsky, Vinnytsia, Chernigov, Kropivnitsky, Cherkasy, Lugansk, Sumy, Belaya Tserkov, Kalush, Kremenchuk, Mariupol, Yanchenko-Podilsky, Ostrog, Pokrovsk, Hrebinka, Chervonograd, Zelenodolsk, Melnitsa-Podilsky, Terka and others). They were offered a questionnaire containing 10 questions, as well as a projective picture. The results show that the school psychologist takes most of the time to test (without legalizing goals and testing results). Often meetings with a psychologist are related to the issue of professional orientation, the choice of profession, diagnosis of professional abilities. The term "consultation" is not actually mentioned by the students. In 10.4 % of respondents, negative emotions associated with a psychologist have been preserved, in particular, it indicates unprofessional actions: violation of confidentiality, moral pressure, humiliation against classmates. Lack of real interaction between students and a psychologist, more often it is formal. The students noticed that the psychologist had never had contact with parents, and 5 persons received professional out-of-school psychological assistance. Among the functions that were not specific to the psychologist was the replacement of the lessons of other teachers, the organization of holidays, or even in general. The psychologist at school has no autonomy, the subject of activity is "dissolved" in pedagogical activity, the functions and role that he performs negatively affects his professional identity. The obtained results give grounds to assert the necessity Modernization of the system of school psychological service taking into account transformational changes in the school environment today.

Most often in combat environment adaptive and disadaptive registers of prepathologic level as well as prenosologic registers of pathologic level of psychic disorders are observed in servicemen. Acute psychologic and pathologic reactions of prenosologic level are predominant, with a considerable decrease of reactive psychoses, especially of their persisting forms.Principal peculiarity of the system of psychological correction and medicopsychological rehabilitation of combatants with combat stress reactions is, alongside with the detection and treatment of psychic disorders, its orientation to the restoration of their combat ability, if they are to participate in combat actions, and the restoration of their working ability, if they are to resume peaceful life. The author worked out approaches to the creation of a system of medicopsychologic and psychocorrective rehabilitation measures for this group’ of persons and suggested a number of original psychotherapeutic methods.The realization of psychocorrective and medicopsychologic rehabilitation measures oversteps the competence limits of psychiatrists alone and can be effective if their efforts are combined with the activity of specialists in psychophysiology, social and medical psychology, narcology and some other fields.

Gre za procese, na katerih temeljijo tudi aktivnosti, s katerimi se srečujemo vsak dan, ne da bi o tem kadar koli razmišljali – marketing, informativni programi, reklamiranje, medijske kampanje. Članek osvetljuje področje psihološkega delovanja z različnih vidikov: z vidika vojaških ved, socialne psihologije ter psihologije tržnega komuniciranja. Pri tem poskuša definirati tako posebnosti, ki so značilne za vsakega izmed navedenih področij, kot tudi določiti skupno polje delovanja oziroma nekakšen presek množic. Poseben segment je namenjen študiji primera zgibanke, uporabljene na Kosovu leta 2007, ki je kot »vojaška aktivnost« analizirana z vidika socialne psihologije in psi- hologije (tržnega) komuniciranja. Psychological operations are often seen as a purely military subject with no real relation to science and profession. However, the background of military activities includes individual and group psychological processes the understanding of which enables a much better operational performance. This involves the processes under- lying the activities we encounter every day without ever even thinking about it – marketing, information programmes, advertising, and media campaigns. The article highlights the areas of psychological operations from various aspects: military science, social psychology and psychology of marketing communication. In this respect, it, both, attempts to define the features specific to each of those areas, as well as to establish a common field of activity or some kind of intersection of all sets. A special part of the article is devoted to a case study of a leaflet used in Kosovo in 2007, a »military activity«, which is analysed from the perspective of social psycho- logy and psychology of marketing communication.

El objetivo de este estudio es mostrar el panorama actual de la visibilidad y popularidad de las revistas científicas de Psicología editadas en los países iberoamericanos, de acuerdo con la información del Journal Citation Reports (JCR) de 2010. En el estudio descriptivo realizado mediante análisis de documentos, se encontró que del total de las 18 revistas analizadas el 61.11 % (11) son españolas, el 33.33 % (6) latinoamericanas y el 5.55 % (1) portuguesas, y que el 50 % están indexadas en la categoría de “Psicología Multidisciplinar”. Por otra parte, la revista latinoamericana con el Factor de Impacto (FI) más elevado de 2010 es Universitas Psychologica (1.283), seguida de Psicología: Reflexão e Crítica (1.124). La revista iberoamericana que ha obtenido el mayor FI es el International Journal of Clinical and Health Psychology (1.842) que se encuentra indexada en la categoría de “Psicología Clínica”.

AimTo present the epidemiology and psychological predictors of Internet Addiction (IA) among Greek University students.MethodsThis random sample consisted of 3545 students, drawn from 24 higher education institutions (1618/1927 M/F, mean age 20.12 ± 2.4 years). The survey was conducted in the 4 Greek cities: Athens, Preveza, Thessaloniki and Amfissa.ResultsThe prevalence rates of IA according to Young's Test in the four cities were: Athens (17.5%), Preveza (15.9%), Thessaloniki (19.3%), Amfissa (16.3%). There was a statistically significant association between location and IA (χ2 = 28.251, df = 3, p < 0.001), gender and IA for males and females (p < 0.001). We performed a t-test with the dependent variable S = sum of scores in the psychological features of loneliness, feeling abandoned, disappointed, aimless in life, and with low self-esteem; the grouping variable was IA. Results showed that the variable S was much lower for the non-addicted than for addicted students (t = 19.329, p < 0.005, df = 3085). Binary logistic regression was performed to assess the impact of psychological characteristics on the likelihood that respondents would be Internet Addicted. The model was statistically significant χ2(10, N = 3085) = 316.3, p < 0.001. The model classified correctly 85.1% of the cases. The strongest predictors of IA were the following: Loneliness (OR = 2.15, 95% CI = 1.67-2.71), feeling abandoned (OR = 1.63, 95% CI = 1.2-2.1), low self-esteem (OR = 1.72, 95% CI = 1.4-2.1) and fear of losing their job (OR = 1.36, 95% CI = 1.01-1.7).ConclusionLoneliness, helplessness, low self-esteem and fear of unemployment are the strongest predictors of IA among Greek university students.

There are psychologic status of patients having multipled sclerosis research results. 30 patients were involved in the research, among them there were 18 (60%) female and 12 (40%) male ones at the age between 20 and 60. Patient examination was realized by means of the Spielberger, Maudsley and Zung methods. As a result of research there are patient's psychological state changes. 66% of patients have these changes in the form of high-grade uneasiness, 50% — in the form of rigidity and introversion, 83% have depressing disorders in the form of slight depression and subdepression.These findings expand our conception about psychological mechanisms of dissociated personality patients with multipled sclerosis have, and need various multimodal approaches for their psychological correction.

The article analyzes of the results of an empirical research on psychological competence of military psychologists. The current state of military psychology requires innovative approaches to studies of personalities of not only military personnel, but also military psychologists, who perform an important social and professional function. The article shows that psychological competence plays an important role in professional development and practical work effectiveness of military psychologists counselling military personnel in various situations of combat and service task execution. A psychologically competent military psychologist, due to his/her personal and professional skills, is able to reduce risks to be caught up in a trouble situation for him/herself and his/her service members, and if such a situation arises, to propose intensive actions to overcome them. The author’s definition of a military psychologist’s psychological competence, considered as a personality trait, is: this competence is a holistic construct characterizing an individual’s ability to minimize problem situation severity and frequency of their occurrence for this individual and to maximize active actions aimed at life organization and such situation overcoming. The operationalization of the desired construct have lead the author to the conclusion that a military psychologist’s psychological competence is a complex personal trait consisting of four components: psychological competence in the family relations, in professional work, in the material and social area, and in the area of values. As for formal-dynamic qualities, speed and agility of a military psychologist’s nervous system serve as the basis for psychological competence formation; and on the contrary, high emotionality acts as a negative precondition for this construct development. The performed research has shown that psychological competence as a factor of military psychologist’s professional formation promotes formation of attitudes, empathy and a see through capability of empathy, but somewhat reduces the empathy role an as emotional channel.

Namen tega prispevka je predstaviti temeljne pojme socialne psihologije in z njimi na podlagi izkušenj, pridobljenih v Slovenski vojski, pogledati vojaško organizacijo. Vojska je organizacija, v kateri ima skupina večji pomen kot posameznik. Pogled na vojaško organizacijo prek temeljnih pojmov socialne psihologije se zdi logičen korak, ki lahko prinese uporabna nova spoznanja za obe področji, tako za socialno psihologijo kot za vojaški sistem. Povezava je izpeljana na podlagi izkušenj, prido- bljenih z delom v Slovenski vojski. V prvem delu so predstavljeni temeljni koncepti socialne kognicije: teorije pozor- nosti in kognitivnih shem, stereotipi, stališča in teorija pripisovanja. V drugem delu sledijo temeljni koncepti, vezani na skupino, kot so interakcija znotraj skupine s procesi posnemanja, sugestije, identifikacije in socialnega pritiska, ter koncept socialne moči. V zadnjem delu z uporabo teh pojmov orišemo vojaško organizacijo, natančneje Slovensko vojsko, in sicer njeno hierarhično ureditev, policentrično in asimetrično razporeditev moči ter prepletanje formalne in neformalne moči v njenem vsakodnev- nem delovanju. The aim of this article is to present basic concepts of social psychology and to take a closer look at a military organization based on the experiences gained within the Slovenian Armed Forces. In military organizations, the group is of greater importance than the individual. A closer look at a military organization through the prism of those basic social psycho- logy concepts seems like a logical step that can lead to useful new knowledge in, both, social psychology and the military system. The link between the two is derived on the basis of experience acquired through the employment in the Slovenian Armed Forces. The first part of the article focuses on basic concepts of social cognition, such as the theories of attention, cognitive schemas, stereotypes, attitudes and theories of attribution. In the second part of the article we focus on basic concepts related to groups, such as interaction with the processes of imitation, suggestion, identification, social pressure and the concepts of social power, In the last part we use these key concepts to illustrate a military organization, notably the Slovenian Armed Forces, its hierarchical structure, polycentric and asymmetric distribution of power and the intertwining of formal and informal power in its daily routine.

In this article we reviewed a series of studies (n = 18) on psychological preparation of the goalkeeper (GK) for the 11-m penalty kick in soccer. The main findings of this review were that deception strategies (e.g., standing slightly off-center) can increase the chances of the kick being directed to a desired direction, and that individual differences among GKs should be considered when planning sport psychology programs for GKs. A number of research limitations and methodological concerns, such as the lack of ecological validity of the tasks performed in the studies and the lack of studies on psychological interventions, were discussed. In addition, a number of practical implications for sport psychology consultants who work with GKs in soccer were suggested.

The faculty in the professional programs were more likely to be licensed (93% to 85%) and to be diplomates of the American Board of Professional Psychology (15% to 11%, respectively). The faculty in traditional programs averaged more publications (35 vs 17) and citations, and they were more likely to be fellows of the American Psychological Association (26% to 11%). These differences appear congruent with the different missions and objectives of the two types of programs. There were no differences in the number of years since the doctorate, used as a measure of professional experience.

Terrorists can strike twice—first, by directly killing people, and second, through dangerous behaviors induced by fear in people’s minds. Previous research identified a substantial increase in U.S. traffic fatalities subsequent to the September 11 terrorist attacks, which were accounted for as due to a substitution of driving for flying, induced by fear of dread risks. Here, we show that this increase in fatalities varied widely by region, a fact that was best explained by regional variations in increased driving. Two factors, in turn, explained these variations in increased driving. The weaker factor was proximity to New York City, where stress reactions to the attacks were previously shown to be greatest. The stronger factor was driving opportunity, which was operationalized both as number of highway miles and as number of car registrations per inhabitant. Thus, terrorists’ second strike exploited both fear of dread risks and, paradoxically, an environmental structure conducive to generating increased driving, which ultimately increased fatalities.

The psychotherapeutic care in Ukraine is carried out in structure specialized psychiatric, psychoneurological and somatic hospitals and polyclinics of public health services. Since independence, Ukraine still has inefficient public health care system, with its unbalanced structure of services, especially in mental health care. In 2008 parameters of mental illness and disturbances of behavior was 243,3 per 100 thousand population and in comparison with 1990 decreased per 2,5%. Maximal parameters of mental illness and disturbances of behavior in 1995 consisted 263,1 per 100 thousand population. In structure of parameters of mental illness and disturbances of behavior, in 2008 (72,7 % or 176,1 per 100 thousand population) prevailed nonpsychotic. The basic organizational unit of the psychotherapeutic care is the cabinet of psychotherapy, which common number on 1.01.2009 year was 223, from them at the psychiatric network 134 (61 %), at the somatic - 89 (that makes about 39 %). The psychotherapeutic care is carried out within the limits of medical and psychological model. Thus since 1997 the speciality medical psychology and a staff of the doctor-psychologist is entered. From now on in a medical network medical psychologists with medical (85 person) and psychological (315 person) base education in parallel work. The psychotherapeutic network requires immediate expansion, especially in somatic treatment-and-prophylactic hospitals and polyclinics. The staff could be taken from psychiatrists after reduction psychiatric beds which would pass a training for a new profession on corresponding faculties and chairs of psychotherapy of postgraduate education organizations.

Jeszcze tego samego roku przeniósł się do The Hebrew University w Izraelu, gdzie w 1972 roku obronił tytuł magistra psychologii, a w 1975 uzyskał stopień doktora psychologii. Obecnie jest profesorem Uniwersytetu Carnegie Mellon na Wydziale Nauk Społecznych i Decyzji oraz na Wydziale Inżynierii i Polityki Publicznej1. Jest autorem i współautorem 11 książek oraz ponad 300 artykułów naukowych. Baruch Fischhoff jest także członkiem ponad 30 organizacji, między innymi National Academy of Sciences oraz National Academy of Medicine, jak również byłym prezydentem Society for Judgment and Decision Making oraz Society for Risk Analysis.

IntroductionHomosexuality is forbidden in Islamic countries. In Iran people who homosexual captures with police and in Islamic Law they are accuse and they transfer to prison. But Transsexual is accepted. So, people who are homosexual encourage changing their sexuality and identity with plastic surgery, and gaining new sexuality. Then government gets them Identification Card.AmisThe aim of this study examines the view of Iranian counselors to working with Transsexual and Homosexuals clients.MethodFor gathering data, use a questionnaire. A questionnaire was about the view of counselors to Transsexual and Homosexuals clients. For analysis data, use the descriptive statistical methods.ResultsThe results indicate that 60 percent of counselors disagree to working to homosexual people, 25 percent answered no Idea and 15 rest of them said they were accepted the homosexual clients.ConclusionTo conclude, counselors did not interest in to working with homosexual clients, but when they are changed their sex with surgical operation and gain new Identity, counselors tend to working with them. But the reality is people who changed their Identity with surgical operation, after few months regretful and 35 percent of them attempts to suicide.
