Anti-D is a polyclonal IgG product purified from the plasma of D-alloimmunized individuals. The mechanism of anti-D has not been fully elucidated. Antigenic epitopes are not fully masked by anti-D and are available for immune system recognition. Abstract EndoS from Streptococcus pyogenes is an immunomodulating enzyme that specifically hydrolyzes glycans from human immunoglobulin G and thereby affects antibody effector functions. Autoimmune hemolytic anemia is caused by antibody-mediated red blood cell (RBC) destruction and often resists treatment with corticosteroids that also cause frequent adverse effects. We show here that anti-RhD (anti-D) and rabbit anti–human-RBC antibodies (anti-RBC) mediated destruction of RBC, ie, phagocytosis, complement activation, and hemolysis in vitro and in vivo was inhibited by EndoS. Abstract The use of polyclonal anti-D is the established treatment for prophylaxis against rhesus immunization in Rh(D) negative pregnant women and is effective in raising the platelet counts in patients with autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura (AITP). Since the supply of plasma derived anti-D antibodies is limited and plasma products carry the risk of infectious complications, replacement with monoclonal anti-D antibodies is a promising alternative. This study analyzed the efficacy of polyclonal anti-D (WinRho®SDF, Cangene) and six human monoclonal anti-D antibodies with differeing isotypes a

Therefore, foreign references are used for decision-making. In this study, a standard questionnaire was used in 74 laboratories of public and private establishments. The information from tests conducted in 2015 was requested: ABO and D typing, antibody detection, antibody identification, and erythrocyte phenotype. The fungus has a polysaccharide (C. neoformans capsular polysaccharide; CNPS) capsule that contributes to its pathogenicity and can elicit an antibody response. The sera of three responder mice contained both IgM and IgG anti-CNPS antibody, and the titers of lambda and kappa anti-CNPS antibody were approximately equal. The pharmacokinetics of an anti-platelet antibody, 7E3, were studied in mice lacking expression of FcRn and in control mice, both in the presence and absence of IVIG. Rh specificities can be complex, resulting from RH genetic diversity found in patients and donors.
