Streszczenie:
A new model and method for incorporating the effect of protection system failures into distribution system reliability evaluation are developed this paper. Firstly, the distribution system is partitioned into zones with the auto (or non-auto) switch being the boundary; through the network equivalent approach, for each load point, three component groups are respectively formed by two types of zone-elements. Then two types of protection failures and their impacts on reliability modeling are discussed. Finally, the reliability Markov model of load point with protection failures has been developed. The test results of the samples demonstrate the practicability and validness of the method.

The disturbance of the high voltage transmission can be caused by a short circuit, overload, lightning surge, and other natural disturbances. That disturbance can lead to disruption of the distribution of electricity and damage to the electric power system installation equipment. A reliable protection system that can identify the disturbance quickly and also can securing affected parts of the system from other parts that can still operate normally are needed. Protection system operation may fail due to various factors; therefore, in addition to primary protection required backup protection that can work as primary protection fails to work. Distance relays can be used as primary protection as well as remote backup protection on high-voltage transmission. While overcurrent relay (OCR) and ground fault relay (GFR) is used as a local backup if distance relay failed to work. This research conducted a study of protection relays coordination for primary protection or backup protection on the high-voltage transmission that connects to Payakumbuh substation and Koto Panjang substation. Coordination is done by calculating the distance relay settings that use as primary protection as well as remote backup protection relay settings and calculating the overcurrent and ground fault relay that used as local backup protection. From the calculation, we get setting time to coordinate distance relay, overcurrent relay, and ground fault relay. Setting time was conducted to the first zone of the distance relay within 0 sec, and the second zone within 0.4 sec and third zone within 1.2 sec. For overcurrent relay and ground fault relay use time delay 1 second where the value is above the value that used in the second zone of distance relay. Distance relay can be coordinated with the auto-reclose relay to close the circuit breaker automatically sometime after a temporary disturbance. Setting that use to auto reclose relay is dead time 1 second and reclaim time 40 second. The coordination between the distance relay with auto-reclose relay can improve the quality of distribution of electrical energy.

The paper argues that auto exhaust catalysts should be recycled to the whole industry chain as its the important part of the auto. After examining the current situation of scraped automobile catalysts in china, the article thinks that the recycling can not only contribute to environmental protection, also can resolve the current contradiction of rare material resources supplying gap in China. Especially when we improved the recycling efficiency of scrapped auto exhaust purifying catalysts, can environment get a great improvement. Then the paper considers a static and single-cycle recycling model contains three outlets, calculates the cost-benefit function, and gives one general decision-making process with two-dimensional linear programming under fuzzy parameters.

This paper introduces an online auto-monitoring instrument which can automatically slice the external insulation cover of the leading wire and accurately measure the wick resistance in the assembly line of the detonator wick resistance. With safety protection circuit, constant current source is employed to measure the resistance, endowing the design with high accuracy, safety protection features and high degree of automation. It is expected to change the traditional production process where manual work has been used to measure and collect statistics, hence could greatly improve labor productivity as well as product quality and produce favorable application and promotion value.

To overcome the problem that the artificial scheduling can not deal with optical fiber switching in time when optical fiber is broken or damage in power system, we designed an optical fiber line auto switch protection system. The system used six 4x4 optical switches to compose an optical switch array that eight working fibers can share four alternate fibers. Comparing with other system, the new system more effectively utilizes alternate fibers, and is more suitable for practical power system. It used single chip microcomputer as control chip of optical switch, when the received optical power is lower than predefined threshold, the control chip will control the optical switch to alternate fiber line in time to ensure the real time and reliability of optical fiber communication. In the same time, the new system can communicate with host computer to alarm, display fault optical fiber line and remote control, and be controlled by button to realize the manual switch of optical fiber line.

Owing to the growth of cars, auto theft has become a major problem in developed countries. A vehicle-anti-theft monitoring(vat) device may then play a critical role in ensuring its safety. Vehicle theft has been a big concern in recent years, and it must be tracked and identified. The vehicle’s safety and protection are critical. And if there are several current mechanisms, they all have drawbacks and are expensive. As a result, an effective protection framework is needed. This project identifies auto theft. The feature that links the dc motor to the GPS is the GSM. The location of a vehicle was pinpointed with the aid of the wireless-module ESP 8266 and the GPS as well as GSM communication. a GPS system can accurately point out a vehicle at any climate which is a Satellite-based-navigation system, a GPS device gives the latitude and longitude position.

This paper assesses the impact of economic globalisation on the South African auto industry. First, a duopoly model of differentiated products is used, which allows the determination of the free trade and protection dividing line. This determines the stay-exit function, which shows the profitability level of the domestic industry. Second, to determine the relationship between employment, profitability and export in the auto industry, a log-linear equation is estimated in which the logarithm of employment is expressed as a function of the logarithm of the distance between the stay-exit function and the trade line and the logarithm of export. These estimates suggest that policy makers take measures to either prevent the destruction of the domestic industry and the decrease in employment in the auto industry, or increase its profitability and employment.

Iran’s auto industry faces with severe challenges in the post globalization era since it has enjoyed a high degree of protectionism for more than decades now. Infant industry policy beside the international sanctions has paralyzed the industry, limiting the ability of Iranian products to compete in the international markets, creating adverse selection for consumers in the domestic market.WTO’s accession requires a sharp reduction in tariff rates whereas Iran’s auto industry has been subject to a high level of protection. To investigate the impact of WTO accession on the auto industry this paper tries casts light not only on the quantitative effects of reducing tariff rates on imports and domestic production through econometric models, but also highlights the inconsistencies of Iran’s regulatory system with GATT articles.

Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-Cas-mediated immunity in bacteria allows bacterial populations to protect themselves against pathogens. However, it also exposes them to the dangers of auto-immunity by developing protection that targets its own genome. Using a simple model of the coupled dynamics of phage and bacterial populations, we explore how acquisition rates affect the probability of the bacterial colony going extinct. We find that the optimal strategy depends on the initial population sizes of both viruses and bacteria. Additionally, certain combinations of acquisition and dynamical rates and initial population sizes guarantee protection, owing to a dynamical balance between the evolving population sizes, without relying on acquisition of viral spacers. Outside this regime, the high cost of auto-immunity limits the acquisition rate. We discuss these optimal strategies that minimize the probability of the colony going extinct in terms of recent experiments. Abstract Technical performances of two optically stimulated luminescence readers including, a microStar reader and an Auto 200 reader both manufactured by Landauer, Inc. were studied by the National Radiation Protection Agency Dosimetry Laboratory using manufacturer and International Electrotechnical Commission requirements. The two reader tools demonstrated satisfactory results as they met all the requirements. The two readers showed similar performance for the overall uncertainty and the Coefficient of Variation tests. The microStar reader showed better performances for the linearity and quality control tests, whereas the Auto 200 reader has a lower limit of detection. Moreover, an average shift of 0.08 mSv exists when measuring the doses with the two readers.

Recently, the operation of a mixed transmission system has increased due to rapid urbanization and the purpose of a good view. Therefore, a proper protection scheme for a mixed transmission system is required. Generally, when a fault occurs on a transmission line, auto reclosing is performed for the purpose of improving the continuity of service by clearing the fault and restoring the power system. However, the auto reclosing scheme should be applied to a mixed transmission system carefully because the mixed transmission system involves underground cable sections. When a fault occurs in the underground cable section, it is mostly a permanent fault. If auto reclosing is performed on a permanent fault condition, it may cause excessive overcurrent and switching surge, which can generate a serious impact on the whole transmission system and even cause an explosion. Due to this, many utilities worldwide do not allow auto reclosing or only apply it very restrictively on a mixed transmission system based on their practice. However, there is no clear guidance or standard related to auto reclosing on a mixed transmission system. Therefore, in this paper, an application of a recloser operation algorithm is proposed. Based on the proposed algorithm, reclosers can work properly and protect the transmission system. To verify the proposed algorithm, simulations were conducted using the ElectroMagnetic Transient Program (EMTP).

Recent investigations into China–U.S. trade relations have revealed that intellectual property plays an increasingly important role. A vector auto-regression model (VAR model) was established in this study to depict the relation among intellectual property protection, intellectual property trade barriers, and China–U.S. trade. Furthermore, Granger causality was utilized to formulate how intellectual property affects China–U.S. trade relations. As demonstrated by the relevant results, on one hand, intellectual property protection influences China–U.S. trade relations through the China–U.S. trade structure. On the other hand, China–U.S. trade relations may act on the intellectual property trade barrier for the same reason.

With the development of wireless communication technology and computer technology, more and more smart technologies have been applied in electricity distribution networks. This paper presents an adaptive current differential protection and fast auto-closing system for application in 10 kV distribution networks in China Southern Power Grid. The current differential protection can adaptively change its settings according to the topology change of the primary distribution networks, thus the system effectively reduces the operation and maintenance cost of the power distribution network. In order to restore the power supply for the healthy part of the 10 kV networks quickly after a power system fault is cleared, the protection and control system provides wide area control function for automatic fault isolation and automatic switching. The traditional overcurrent protection and control system have no fault location function, it may take several minutes or even hours to manually locate a fault and then restore the power supply. Compared with the protection and control system of the traditional 10 kV distribution networks, the system developed can locate and isolate faults within 900 ms (assuming that the operating time of the load switch is 700 ms), and can quickly restore power supply in less than one second after a power system fault is cleared.

Waqf is one of the instruments that must be empowered productively and to the maximum extent possible, one of which is the insurance policy waqf imposed by the MUI DSN in October 2016 which is expected to help the government in its efforts to alleviate poverty and prosper the people. With that PT.Asuransi Jiwa Generali Indonesia formed an institution, namely the Indonesian Waqf Movement (GWI) to expand the network and knowledge of the public regarding sharia insurance policy waqf products through outreach and training to the public. The purpose of this study is to describe (1) the strategy of implementing waqf as an insurance policy through IPLAN Syari'ah Generali, (2) supporting and inhibiting factors in managing waqf as an insurance policy through IPLAN Syari'ah Generali, (3) developing strategies for waqf as an insurance policy. through IPLAN Syari'ah Generali. This research method uses a qualitative approach method. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study include (1) data reduction (2) data presentation (3) conclusions. The results of the research are as follows: (1) management of productive waqf with cash waqf through insurance waqf products (2) when the policyholder dies 45% of the funds will be donated and the rest is given to the heirs (3) first, supporting factors, establishing the Indonesian Waqf Movement institution to help promote waqf in Indonesia by inviting and socializing the community for waqf. Second, the inhibiting factor, namely the lack of public understanding of cash waqf. (4) the waqf funds from the policy holder will be donated to the waqf management institution which will be developed professionally, namely the Dhuafa Wallet Institute.

The design of the footrest used in the auto seat was investigated based on the ergonomics. According to the results, the design path along with the type of the footrest could be described as: i) an adjustment mechanism is necessary for the footrest to meet the requirements of the different groups; ii) the adjustor of the footrest could be realized by using a ratchet mechanism and iii) the hand-operating should be avoided for the using of the footrest and the footrest should be self-closing when it was free of use to realize the passenger protection.

The article discusses the issue of introducing a correction factor for protection and control devices, as the value of the secondary current in a certain range of the auto-adjustable current transformer does not correspond to the value of the secondary current in another range determined by the difference of magnetic driving forces generated by the components of the primary current. Alternatively, an algorithm has been developed to account for the measurement error in this condition in an automatic system that controls the operating mode of the current transformer. It was also found that the output data should be transmitted taking into account the correction factor in order to ensure the proper operation of the protection and measuring devices when the current transformer is switched to another measuring range in the measuring range.

AbstractIn comparison to some illegal enterprises whose operations generate decisive moral rejection on the part of the public, vehicle theft remains an illicit underground activity that citizens largely tolerate or even exploit. In the province of Buenos Aires, the persistence, depth and breadth of transactions related to this black market cannot be explained without referring to the role of the state police. This article uses a theoretical approach to illegal police protection in order to understand the complicity between the police and criminals as fundamental to the market for stolen cars in the province. Using data from in-depth interviews and official documents, the article examines how exactly the police protect thieves, dismantlers and distributors of cars and/or auto parts. It analyses three elements that condition the sale of illegal protection to criminals by the police: threats and selective implementation of penalties; control of consequences; and bureaucratic falsification.

At present, modern ways to protect a varnish coating of cars have become widespread among motorists. Small particles of dirt, dust, winter reagents, minuses of car wash systems, a large number of stones on the road do not have the best effect on car cover. All operational impacts destroy the protective paintwork, after which the steel car body is no longer able to resist the effects of the environment. The body begins to rust and deteriorate. The car eventually loses its appearance, ceases to shine, becomes opaque. Reduction of adverse operational impacts on the paint coating of the car is achieved by modern methods of protection. A wide distribution in the market of automobile cosmetics was produced by protective polishes based on wax or synthetic constituents. It is connected with their small cost and ease of application. The flagship on auto market for the protection of car paint coating is armor plate. This is a protective transparent film with a thickness of approximately 100 microns, providing the maximum degree of protection. Thus, with the help of modern means of protecting paint coating, one can minimize the negative impact of the environment and prolong youth to a car.

The significant damage of COVID-19 on the world economy forces us to reconsider a deep restructuration domestically and internationally in the next few years. This paper suggests a Post-COVID-19 reconstruction model is called “The National Domestic Economic Auto-Sustainability Model (NDEAS-Model).” The NDEAS-Model proposes four economic platforms: (i) the domestic education and technical training standardization platform (P1); (ii) the domestic productive infrastructure and transportation platform (P2); (iii) the selective strategic trade, investment, and tourism protection platform (P3); (iv) the environmental and natural resources management platform (P4). The main objective of NDEAS-Model is to avoid imported massive pandemic diseases, non-sustainable and weak food security platforms, and job diversion, respectively.

Negotiations for China's accession to the WTO provoked a debate between pessimists who believed that opening the economy would lead to a flood of imports and a de-nationalization of manufacturing industry, and those who believed that it would spur rationalization of state-owned enterprises, lock in domestic reforms, attract foreign investment, and open the way for trade expansion. The industry most frequently mentioned as endangered was motor vehicles, where an awkward combination of Stalinist central planning with localized autarky had resulted in a proliferation of inefficient producers. With the partial exception of two investments by Volkswagen, initial joint ventures in assembly operations failed miserably. China's commitments on joining the WTO banned (or at least complicated) many of the most important industrial policy tools it had used to promote the auto industry since the opening to joint ventures in the early 1980s'including performance requirements, high tariffs, and numerical quotas. After accession in 2001, tariffs fell steadily while output and foreign investment soared. The Chinese government moved towards a lighter-handed but more effective form of industrial policy that reduced top-down planning while expanding market incentives and scope for managerial freedom. Rather than destroying industrial policy for the auto industry, WTO accession constrained and disciplined it. When foreign auto firms and their governments pushed for more aggressive protection of trademarks and other intellectual property rights under the WTO, the Chinese government initially stalled. Continuing pressure then tilted the balance of state policy toward promotion of independent design, whether by state-owned enterprises testing the boundaries of their joint ventures with foreign multinationals, or by audacious smaller firms purchasing foreign designs and technology to complement inexpensive local parts and assembly, thereby creating the conditions for the emergence of a more competitive industry.

The existing high-speed railway in China is erected on the viaduct. The traction power supply system of high-speed railway consists of catenary with auto-transformer (AT). The catenary above the rails is supported by towers besides the rails. As the increase of the height from top of towers to ground, the probability of the pilot discharging of lightning to catenary will increase. And the pilot striking distance to ground always remains constant. So the horizons shielding effects for catenary will decrese, and the whole catenary naked in the atmosphere extremely easily struck by thunderbolt. In the important places, e.g., substation and areas of frequent lightning, the lightning arrester is installed to limit lightning overvoltage. But the lightning arrester can limit local overvoltage only. In fact, high-speed railway struck by lightning has affected the safety of power supply system in China. So more reasonable lightning protection measures for Chinas high-speed railway will be studied in this paper.

A greenhouse system (GHS) is a closed structure that facilitates modified growth conditions to crops and provides protection from pests, diseases and adverse weather. However, a GHS exhibits non-linearity due to the interaction between the biological subsystem and the physical subsystem. Non-linear systems are difficult to control, particularly when their characteristics change with time. These systems are best handled with methods of computation intelligence, such as artificial neural networks (ANNs) and fuzzy systems. In the present work, the approximation capability of a neural network is used to model and control sufficient growth conditions of a GHS. An optimal neural network-based non-linear auto regressive with exogenous input (NARX) time series model is developed for a GHS. Based on the NARX model, two intelligent control schemes, namely a neural predictive controller (NPC) and non-linear auto regressive moving average (NARMA-L2) controller are proposed to achieve the desired growth conditions such as humidity and temperature for a better yield. Finally, closed-loop performances of the above two control schemes for servo and regulatory operations are analysed for various operating conditions using performance indices.

Mature dendritic cells (DCs) are believed to induce T cell immunity, whereas immature DCs induce T cell tolerance. Here we describe that injections of DCs matured with tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α (TNF/DCs) induce antigen-specific protection from experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) in mice. Maturation by TNF-α induced high levels of major histocompatibility complex class II and costimulatory molecules on DCs, but they remained weak producers of proinflammatory cytokines. One injection of such TNF/DCs pulsed with auto-antigenic peptide ameliorated the disease score of EAE. This could not be observed with immature DCs or DCs matured with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) plus anti-CD40. Three consecutive injections of peptide-pulsed TNF/DCs derived from wild-type led to the induction of peptide-specific predominantly interleukin (IL)-10–producing CD4+ T cells and complete protection from EAE. Blocking of IL-10 in vivo could only partially restore the susceptibility to EAE, suggesting an important but not exclusive role of IL-10 for EAE prevention. Notably, the protection was peptide specific, as TNF/DCs pulsed with unrelated peptide could not prevent EAE. In conclusion, this study describes that stimulation by TNF-α results in incompletely matured DCs (semi-mature DCs) which induce peptide-specific IL-10–producing T cells in vivo and prevent EAE.

Se trata de ayudar a mejorar nuestros instrumentos procesales y acercar al ciudadano a una justicia real, más cerca del derecho fundamental a la tutela judicial efectiva. A number of studies realized operation of power systems are unstable in developing countries due to misconfiguration of distribution systems, limited power transfer capability, inconsistency of renewable resources integration, paucity of control and protection measures, timeworn technologies, and disproportionately topology. This study underlines an Afghanistan case study with 40% power losses that is mainly pertinent from old distribution systems. The long length of distribution systems, low-power transfer capability, insufficient control and protection strategy, peak-demand elimination, and unstable operation (low energy quality and excessive voltage deviations) are perceived pre-eminent challenges of Afghanistan distribution systems. Some attainable solutions that fit challenges are remodeling (network reduction), networks reinforcement, optimum compensation strategy, reconfiguration options, improving, and transfer capability. This paper attempts to propose a viable solution using multiobjective optimization method of auto-tap-changer pole transformer (ATCTr). The proposed methodology in terms of optimal numbers and placement of ATCTr can be known as a novel two-dimensional solution. For this purpose, a real case of Kabul City distribution system is evaluated. Simulation results indicate the effectiveness of the proposed method in reducing system losses and improving system overall performance. This approach tends to regulate the voltage deviation in a proper and statutory range with minimum number and optimum placement of ATCTrs. The proposed method is simulated using MATLAB® environment to compare and evaluate performance of the proposed network under different situations and scenarios.
