The thesis is focused on the evaluation of preferences in organic foods consumption in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part summarizes the insights from the literature concerning the issue. The thesis monitors in detail the production and consumption of organic foods and it maps the market environment. In the practical part were expressed hypotheses which using the questionnaire were confirmed or refuted. They have been also identified preferences of consumer groups of organic foods, which were then analyzed and evaluated. There were performed determinations of prices of selected organic foods in individual retail chains and their subsequent comparison with normal foods.The results of this research may be helpful for new entrants in terms of the market operators to assist them in deciding on which market segment or product to concentrate.

The main goal of my diploma thesis is to analyze the offers of organic food in chosen retail chains operating in the Czech market. At the beginning there are defined retail and retailing and there is briefly outlined the development of retail in the Czech Republic. In the second chapter there is introduced organic farming, its definition, goals and its current position in the world and in the Czech Republic. In this chapter is defined what is organic food, how is organic food labeled and which organizations do this business in the Czech Republic. The third chapter analyses the situation in the organic food market in the Czech Republic and there are introduced certain marketing activities and projects to promote organic food. The next chapter analyses the current retail net in the Czech Republic and in the following chapter there are introduced the retail chains chosen for the analysis of their assortment of organic food. The last chapter deals with analysis of assortment of organic food in chosen retail chains.

Diploma thesis on the topic of possibilities of marketing orientation on the organic market deals with organic farming and organic food. The first part is to get familiar with this issue. There are characterized differences between organic and conventional farming, the advantages and disadvantages of organic farming, animal and plant specifications of production, conditions that must be met if the transition from conventional to organic farming, the follow-up compliance with the conditions laid down by law. Another section is devoted to organic food and their characterization, organic certification and marketing. The practical part includes its own investigation with an awareness of consumers about organic food. My thesis is focused on the analysis of the organic food market in Prague 4 city. The thesis is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the organic farming, its objectives and principles. Furthermore, the thesis differentiates between conventional and organic farming, summarizes the history and development of organic farming and describes the development of financial support. The thesis in the theoretical part also describes the definitions of organic products, their labeling, inspection and marketing methods. The practical part of the thesis contains statistical comparisons of the development of agricultural acreage, the number of farms in organic farming and compares the development of the organic food market in the Czech Republic. Additionally, the practical part analyzes the market of organic food in town district Prague 4. The collected data is represented in tables and graphs. As a conclusion, the thesis proposes measures to develop the organic food market in selected parts of Prague city.

The master thesis is concerned with the effect of the clame superfood and its impact in consumer behaviour. The aim of this thesis is to find out how consumers perceive the phenomenon of superfoods and how this claim effect their consumer behaviour. The theoretical part of the thesis defines and explains the terminology related to the key term superfoods such as functional foods, superfruits and organic foods. Subsequently the thesis edentifies the rules of a food labeling with the emphasis on health and nutrition-related claims. The thesis then examines the recent development of the superfoods market with its trends either from the local and the global point of view. The theoretical part is ended by the analysis of the methodology The Six Elements of Superfruits Success, which defines the six elements leading to a successful business strategy in a field of superfoods industry. The empirical part of the thesis shows the survey results of the effect of the clame superfoods and organic foods on products and its impact in consumer behaviour in the Czech Republic. The thesis then deals with the case study Jeřáb (a product containing a superfood). The thesis draws up a draft proposal for a new communication strategy of Jeřáb with the emphasis on the fact that Jeřáb is a product containing a superfood.

The theoretical part of this diploma thesis deals with the history of organic agriculture, organic agriculture in the world, in Europe and in the Czech Republic. In terms of the Czech Republic, it focuses on the development and the current state of organic agriculture, legislative background, supervision and certification, state subsidy and the labelling of organic food. The last chapter of the theoretical part answers questions: Why should people buy organic food, and why should they prefer local organic food to the imported one? It is also concerned with the distribution of organic food. In the practical part the main problems in terms of securing the sale of organic food in the Czech Republic are detected by the means of questionnaire examination. Two types of questionnaires were created for the purpose of the research. The first type is for organic producers and the second one for the sellers of organic food and healthy food products. At the end of this diploma thesis there is a summary of the recognized problems and the forshadowing of the future of organic agriculture in the Czech Republic.

The aim of this thesis is to perform marketing research of consumer behavior in the market of organic food through the suitably questionnaire. The research focuses on the questions - what is the source of information about organic food, whether and why consumers buy organic food, how often consumers buy organic food, what is the average monthly expenditure for organic food, what is the most popular place for purchasing organic food, what is main critical points in selecting of organic food, which factors are barrier for purchase, etc. The results of the research confirm that organic food is well known for most of consumers, but lower than half of consumers which purchasing it, either because of high cost or because of mistrust.

The topic of my diploma thesis is Bioproducts and their position in the present retailing. The thesis is divided in two parts, a theoretical one and a practical one. The theoretical part deals with the theory of bioproducts and their market position. It analyses ecology-agriculture tasks in Czech Republic as well as the legislation in the Czech Republic. The practical part describes bioproducts in Interspar and its own brand SPAR Natur*pur. In Interspar I did my research using questionnaires that were filled in by costumers of Interspar. These costumers answered questions about bioproducts and their market position in the Czech Republic. The results are presented in graphs and with a comment.

This master thesis is focused on czech organic food and it role in current czech retailing. Organic food is nowadays widely discussed but czech local organic food is unjustly neglected. In the theoretical part of the master thesis, terms such as retailing and organic farming are defined, it also alyses czech retail market and czech organic food market. Analytical part, on the other hand, uses these termes in the actual analysis of the czech organic food market. Using data collected from 5 different retailers (Globus, Tesco, Interspar, Penny Market a Albet) I conducted a country of origin analysis. Last part of the thesis sums up recommendations to improve the position of czech local product, aimed at czech farmers, consumers and oficial organizations.

The master thesis deals with the organic farming and the organic food consumption, not only within the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the master thesis, characterizes this dynamically developing industry, subsidy policy, legislative page and describes each of the production and non-productive functions of organic farming. It also presents the action plan for the following years, in which the sector should take. On approaching the definition of the concept of organic foodstuff, its specifics, the essentials of marking, control system and forms of sale. Finally, it deals with comparison of nutritional values of organic food and conventional food and also organic food consumption itself on the domestic market, with a forecast for the next years. Filling the empirical part is a statistical comparison and analysis of time series of organic farming, to which are added the individual predictions for the following four years. Furthermore, the practical part, respectively the consumption of organic food, supplements the statistical analysis of data obtained from an anonymous questionnaire survey concerning the preferences of consumers in matters of purchasing and consumption of organic food. Conclusion of the work is devoted to a summary of the data from the questionnaire investigation and proposing recommendations for organic farming and the Czech organic food market.

The diploma thesis deals with public bio-quality eating in the Brno-City region and with the issue of raw materials supply. In the first part of the thesis the organic agriculture is defined, in comparison with conventional and integrated agriculture. Also the definition of terms like organic products, organic food and other organic products, including their certification. The next part deals with the market, as well as with the consumption of organic food with an overview of organic food suppliers and the definition of public eating facilities. The last issue of this section is the purchasing behaviour that greatly affects this industry. The second part of the thesis is related to the restaurant Rebio, which is the only certified restaurant in this region. The survey is divided into three parts. In particular it is a supplier survey, than an interview with a chef about the supplier-customer environment of the restaurant, and at last but not at least, a questionnaire survey at the their customers, which related to restaurant turnout, organic farming and purchasing behavior.

The aim was to analysis of the current state of organic agriculture in the South-Moravian Region with a survey of the district of Znojmo. The literature review sets out the principles of organic agriculture and organic food production, current legislation and the system of registration and control. The thesis deals with the assessment of the status of organic farming in the region's of Tišnov and Vysočina district. It assesses the extent of production and the focus of organic farms in selected areas and analyzes the current situation of organic food and the possibility of their sales in the region. In the final part local people are surveyed, using a questionnaire, which focuses on consumers knowledge about organic farming and an evaluation of its significance. The results show that more than half of the respondents believe that organic foods are organically grown without the use of chemicals or pesticides and are healthier than conventional foods. It also proves organic food is only bought occasionally, several times a month with a willingness to spend a maximum of 300 CZK. A negligible (3,3 %) made purchases using "organic boxes" from a farmer, others have never heard about this service, or did not use it. The most common places to buy organic food are hypermarkets, supermarkets and health food stores.

The first part consists of literary research about description of organic agriculture, its goals, principles, history and legislation and development of this agriculture in the region. In the second part the collected data will be compared with data from other areas in Pardubice Region. Introduction of selected organic farms, producers and sellers of organic food in the region follows. In the final part two surveys are executed. The first questionnaire about knowledge of ecological agriculture and its products is focused on local residents. The second questionnaire is focused on ecological entrepreneurs. In conclusion measures which could lead to improvement of public awareness and to overall development of organic agriculture in Svitavy Region will be suggested.

In the end of the thesis there is a survey that mainly deals with organic agriculture and bioproducts. There was found, that most respondents know something about these concepts. Further more the survey deals with the frequency of purchase and prices of bioproducts. The prices do not suit to the respondents that's why they buy bioproducts only occasionally, the smaller amount of them once a month. The survey was focused on the inhabitants of Olomouc region.

Organic food is a food product that is obtained from organic products and a limited amount of authorized additives defined technological process according to special regulation and the control regimen. Regional foods are due to short transport distances much fresher than food that has circulated for a long time. Regional foods tend therefore usually taste better and more valuable nutritional properties. Equally important is the fact that the closer the food to the consumer, the less loaded environment during transportation. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the structure offers regional food and organic food producers to seek their districts Prachatice, and Strakonice Czech Budejovice. When evaluating the questionnaires, it was found that two-thirds of respondents regularly buy organic or regional food. Most often it is bought at a store in a specialized department.Most of the respondents to pay extra for regional food for a month for her to spend in the range of 200 to 500 CZK.

The objective is to evaluate a development and the importance of the organic agriculture and organic food in South Moravian Region. The identified details were than compared with other regions of the Czech Republic, or the whole country. The South Moravian Region due to its position belongs to the areas with a low proportion of organic areas, but since 2008 there are absolutely the greatest areas of arable land and permanent crops (there are more than 95 % of the total area of vineyards), but the smallest area of permanent grassland. This region produces 85 % of all organic grown vegetables. There is dominated sheep farming, followed by cattle farming.Typical for the South Moravian Region are vineyards and wineries, and therefore an integral part of thesis is the evaluation of wine production, especially organic wine in this region.

In the thesis is processed the current state of the market for organic foods and assess their demand. The first chapters in a review of the literature dealing with the labeling of organic foods, their marketing,principles of production and on the basis of studies are assessed for qualitative properties. From the statistical data is analyzed developing the organic market and pursuant the professional survey is compared the economics of production compared to conventional production. In The practical part is evaluated organic food market in the South Moravian Region and compared their prices with prices conventional food. In the final part of the results is executed own survey through a questionnaire survey that was filled by 300 respondents from the Southern Region. The research is focused on the knowledge of organic food and motivation to buy, how much consumers are willing to pay for them, eventually, what really deters them from buying.

This thesis deal with organic agriculture and the demand for its products in the municipalities of different sizes in Moravia. Consumer behavior and demand for organic products was the aim of the questionnaire in the region. The questionnaire consisted of 18 questions and was completed by 150 respondents. The data obtained have been properly evaluated and processed into graphs. The results of the survey respondents the average awareness of organic food. After evaluation of the results have shown the organic foods most commonly buy women aged 19-35 years of Brno-country district with secondary education finished with an income of 10 000-19 999 Czk. Consumers of organic food shall be considered as expensive and their higher price is a major restriction to their purchase. They often buy vegetables, fruits and dairy products. Organic food they buy in specialized stores and health food stores, about once a month and these foods will spend the amount of 501-1 000 Czk.

Diploma thesis with topic a Market analysis of organic food in Czech republic and its price monitoring engages basic principles of ecological agriculture and specifics of organic food production. There is a description of bioproduction in CZ, a market situation and consumption in the EU.In next part of this dissertation is composed overview of organic food producers in CZ. One of the main goals of this work was to perform a price monitoring on chosen types of organic food in given location and then to compare the price to a conventionaly produced food. There is also a comparison of the situation on different salepoints and a price variations of main direct and indirect distribition process. As an addition of the experimentle part, a degustation and following evaluation of chosen organic and nonorganic food types took place with suggested group of people. Result of this price monitong shows, that organic food is 140 % more expensive than nonorganic. Comparison of the direct and indirect distributors showed large price variations, for example the price of organic potatoes directly from a farmer is170 % lower, than the average price of organic potatoes in observed shops. Organic food got a higher rating than conventionaly produced during the degustation, 46,87 % was for organic and 45,99 % for nonorganic food.

The thesis is divided into two parts - literary and experimental part. The work includes definitions of organic food, processing of organic food, and system of controls and their labeling, together with the laws relevant for organic farming. A substantial part of the thesis is devoted to analysis of the Czech market using a questionnaire survey and price monitoring of selected types of food. The questionnaire contains twelve questions focused on consumer preferences when buying organic food and eating organic quality meals. The conclusion contains results of the questionnaire summarized together with the comparison of food price monitoring in selected stores.

In order to obtain questions to these answers it was necessary to conduct a questionnare survey. In order to compare these results, a method of a questionnaire survey from 2004 was selected focusing on the competitiveness of ecological farms. According to the questionnaire survey, the research was compiled and results of the research were compared with the results of the questionnaire survey compiled ten years ago. The research involved areas of north-western part of the Czech Republic and 45 respondents out of 95 farms participated in this research.

The main purpose of the thesis is the analysis and judgement of distribution methods, which are currently used for organic foods. The first stage involved a marketing research in form of an online questionnaire, which was placed on Google Docs. This questionnaire focused on shopping habits of the customers. The evaluation showed, that the customers most frequently by the organic foods in the self service shops. The second most common place for buying the organic foods were the shops specialised in selling such products, and the third most common place were the suppliers. The most common organic foods bought by the customers were milk and dairy products, the second place belonged to fruits, and on third place were vegetables. The second stage involved a marketing research in form of telephonically enquiring the farmers from the South Bohemian Shire. The results represent the fifty organic farms out of the sixty four contacted organic farms, which responded to the enquiries. The farmers from the South Bohemian Shire most commonly rise cattle. The biggest consumers of their products, with 39 per cent, are processing companies. Selling the meat or live cattle directly at the farm accounts for 32 per cent, and 24 per cent of the products are consumed by distributors. Only 5 per cent of the products is consumed by retailers, which sell the meat directly to consumers. The second most commonly produced commodity is milk and dairy products. According to questionnaire, the entire production is intended for the czech market and the consumption is in average rated as ``commendable{\crqq}, which is greatly affected by Madeta a.s. Other consumers of milk and dairy products are healthy food shops and catering institutions. The individual contributions to the consumption of milk and dairy products are unknown. There are very few producers of organic fruits and vegetables in the South Bohemian Shire, and therefore the marketing research did not produce any useful results regarding these products.

Mankind's relationship to the Material World is the defining and initial relationship when examining the evolution of sustainable development.Generally, mankind is intensely concerned with the environmental issues since the sixties of the last century, mainly because of the serious environmental changes which began to appear at that time. Permaculture, which is one of the alternative concepts, was originally created as a system of agricultural production and later extended to the different aspects of life: - cultural, economic and social.This work consists of several parts: in Pt. 1, I have analysed and summarized the project of the Forest Garden and the permacultural practices proposed in my Bachelor's thesis from the year 2011. Part 2 describes my application of recommended permacultural planting methods on selected crops, and the pros and cons of each procedure have been evaluated. In the Final part, I have followed traditional technological procedures and have elaborated the selected basic sorts of processed food.

Information on the use of regional, seasonal and organic foods and opinions on the possible improvement of the current status were investigated in the school catering facilities of the South Bohemian Region. 35 completely filled questionnaires were obtained and evaluated from addressed respondents (heads of catering facilities, directors) of nursery and primary schools. Based on their assessment, it was found that most catering establishments have permanent food suppliers, usually 2 - 3. Kitchen managers prefer suppliers with a larger assortment (wholesalers, supermarkets). 85% of canteens said that regular suppliers give them discounts. From the region's farmers, 35-45% of the canteens take main foods, meat, milk and dairy products, less fruit and vegetables. The most frequently purchased regional food is potatoes, while fish and legumes are mainly imported. Approximately 80% of canteens do not include organic food in the menus. The main reason is their difficult availability and higher price. This is confirmed by the finding that the more the supplier is a local farmer, the fewer canteens use organic products and buy conventional foods. A frequent reason for not using regional food and organic food in the canteens is low awareness of their quality, fear of high prices and limited range. It is therefore necessary for farmers to improve the range of supply, distribution and marketing. Regular workshops for managers and demonstration courses for canteen employees on how to effectively use these foods in menus can improve the situation. Promoting these foods is also important in order to raise awareness among parents and children.
