Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC) images and Mars Orbiter Laser Altimeter (MOLA) data on the Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) spacecraft show evidence for three catastrophic outflow channels around the Cerberus Plains region, Mars. The morphologies seen in MOC images located within channels seen in gridded MOLA topography are similar to those found in catastrophic flood terrains on Earth, such as the Channeled Scabland. Thus, they indicate the channels' formation by catastrophic flood flow. The morphologies and topography also counterindicate the channels' formation by lava, glaciers or CO₂-charged density

This work examines the relative chronology of geologic units within the Cerberus Plains of Mars with an emphasis on lava flows emplaced after the last Marte Valles fluvial episode. High resolution images show the bulk of the Cerberus Plains is covered by platy-ridged and inflated lavas, which are interpreted as insulated sheet flows. Eastern Cerberus Plains lavas originate at Cerberus Fossae fissures and shields. Some flows extend for >2000 km through Marte Valles into Amazonis Planitia. Streszczenie:

La ciguatéra, ichtyosarcotoxisme majoritairement rencontré dans la zone intertropicale, trouve son origine dans la consommation de poissons tropicaux contaminés par des neurotoxines marines, les ciguatoxines (CTXs). Ces polyéthers polycycliques synthétisés par les micro-algues du genre Gambierdiscus, se fixent de façon privilégiée aux canaux sodiques dépendant du potentiel. Cependant, ce seul mode d'action n'explique pas tous les symptômes observés dans la ciguatéra notamment les manifestations particulières de type inflammatoire.
