The Bulatura Oases Sector of Chad Basin National Park is the only portion of Nigeria’s National Park showcasing sand-based ecotourism. Despite its 54 years functional existence, no information abounds on dune’s location, distribution and migration hence the need for this study to provide the missing information to enhance effective ecotourism planning, infrastructural development, environmental management and desertification control in the last 2 decades. The study seeks to (i) assess sand dune’s locations in 2003, 2013 and 2023 (ii) determine dune’s distribution

This study explores the potential of remote ecotourism destinations as unique psycho-social open-air clinics that address physical and psychological stressors faced by desert ecotourists. By adopting an anthropocentric perspective on ecotourism, visitors engage in recreational activities designed to alleviate stress, albeit at an extra cost beyond the standard entry fee. The introduction and promotion of additional activities can significantly boost revenue generation, particularly in the Bulatura Oases Sector of Chad Basin Park, which serves as a focal area for this research. To support population growth in Las Vegas, Nevada, large scale increases in groundwater pumping are planned across the state. This pumping could affect riparian areas in Great Basin National Park by lowering groundwater levels, reducing stream flows, and xerifying riparian vegetation. The Southeast Coast Network (SECN) stream habitat monitoring protocol collects data to give park resource managers insight into the status of and trends in stream and near-channel habitat conditions (McDonald et al. 2018a). Wadeable stream assessments are currently implemented at the five SECN inland parks with wadeable streams: Horseshoe Bend National Military Park (HOBE), Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (KEMO), Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park (OCMU), Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CHAT), and Congaree National Park (CONG). Streams can be challenging systems to manage due to their dynamic nature and complex feedbacks between hydrologic, geomorphic, and biological processes that operate over a range of timescales. Stream-riparian ecosystems, also known as riverscapes or river corridors, are affected by events ranging from single storms to large-scale landscape disturbances such as wildfires and landslides. Understanding riverscape dynamics is necessary for identifying potential causes of their degradation, appropriate management actions, and potential restoration strategies. A vegetation classi?cation and map for Guadalupe Mountains National Park (NP) is presented as part of the National Park Service Inventory & Monitoring - Vegetation Inventory Program to classify, describe, and map vegetation communities in more than 280 national park units across the United States. Guadalupe Mountains NP lies in far west Texas and contains the highest point in the state, Guadalupe Peak (8,751 ft; 2,667 m). The mountain escarpments descend some 5,000 ft (1,500 m) to the desert basins below forming a complex geologic landscape that supports vegetation communities ranging from

Climate and hydrology are major drivers of ecosystem structure and function, particularly in arid and semi-arid ecosystems. Understanding changes in climate, groundwater, streamflow, and water quality is central to assessing the condition of park resources. This report combines data collected on climate, groundwater, and springs at Big Bend National Park (NP) to provide an integrated look at climate and water conditions during water year (WY) 2019 (October 2018–September 2019). However, this report does not address the Rio Grande or its tributaries. Annual precipitation was higher than normal
