This work consists of five parts and is focused on studying the existence and uniqueness of common fixed point for mappings which have low properties. In the first part of this work, we improve a common fixed point theorem for four compatible mappings of Jha K. , Pant H. P. And Singh, by giving a theorem with weaker conditions. Also, we give a second theorem which is an extension of the first theorem using an infinite number of mappings of Meir-Keeler type. In the second part, we extend some common fixed point theorems for single-valued mappings given by some authors as Mbarki, Aliouche and Popa, Pathak H. , Cho Y. , Kang S. And Madharia B, to single and multi-valued mappings of general type, type of Gregus and near-contractive type mappings using few conditions such as we removed the compactness required on the space in the papers of Aliouche and Popa, go we did not require continuity on any of these four mappings by using the conditions strictly contractive (2. 2) and (2. 3) which are considered more general than the inequalities cited in the earlier papers, we also weakened the definitions relating to the compatibility, compatibility of type (A), of type (C), of type (P) and weak compatibility by the occasional weak compatibility. In the third part, first, we extend several theorems given in Djoudi and Khems, Elamrani and Mehdaoui, Pathak, Tiwari and Khan to multivalued mappings by using the integral type. Then, we give two theorems for single-valued mappings which improve results of Aage and Salunke since we removed the assumptions of inclusion and continuity requirements on mappings by using occasional weak compatibility and obtain results in a set endowed with a symmetric instead of a complete metric space. In the penultimate section, we establish two new concepts: the super-weakly compatibility and the sub-sequential continuity. These definitions are weaker than occasional weak compatibility and reciprocal continuity, respectively. By using these new concepts, we can give different theorems of single-valued mappings in metric spaces. In the fifth and last part, we also introduce a new concept of the occasionally biaised compatibility. This definition is very general and the lowest at this time with regard to different types of compatibility given before counting the compatibility weakly biased and that occasional weak. We also have given some theorems winch extend in particular the results given by Ciric and Ume and also Shahzad and Sahar

Streszczenie:
碩士
國立中山大學
應用數學系研究所
99
The aim of this work is to propose viscosity-like methods for finding a specific common fixed point of a finite family T={ T_{i} }_{i=1}^{N} of nonexpansive self-mappings of a closed convex subset C of a Hilbert space H.We propose two schemes: one implicit and the other explicit. The implicit scheme determines a set {x_{t} : 0 < t < 1} through the fixed point equation x_{t}= tf (x_{t} ) + (1− t)Tx_{t}, where f : C→C is a contraction. The explicit scheme is the discretization of the implicit scheme and de defines a sequence {x_{n} } by the recursion x_{n+1}=α\_{n}f(x_{n}) +(1−α\_{n})Tx_{n} for n ≥ 0, where {α\_{n} }⊂ (0,1) It has been shown in the literature that both implicit and explicit schemes converge in norm to a fixed point of T (with additional conditions imposed on the sequence {α _{n} } in the explicit scheme). We will extend both schemes to the case of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings. Our proposed schemes converge in norm to a common fixed point of the family which in addition solves a variational inequality.

Streszczenie:
In 2003 the Northeast Florida Water Quality Preservation Group — a coalition composed of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Coastal and Aquatic Managed Areas (CAMA), the National Park Service (NPS), and the Nature Conservancy — was formed by official Memorandum of Understanding to “collaborate to preserve, protect, and enhance water quality” of Timucuan Ecological and Historical Preserve (TIMU) in northern Florida. In 2006, the National Park Service Southeast Coast Network (SECN) in cooperation with the City of Jacksonville, Florida and CAMA established a jointly-operated water quality monitoring network within the Preserve’s boundaries to provide relevant water quality information to resource managers locally and at TIMU. This network is currently composed of 16 sites — 12 of which are monitored every other month by the City of Jacksonville for nutrients and chlorophyll a with four additional sites monitored continuously by the NPS for pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, salinity, specific conductance, turbidity and water level. Information collected by this monitoring program will be used to help managers make informed decisions by understanding trends and variability related to water-quality conditions in park waters. Continuous data records presented at the four monitoring stations reflect only 6 months of data collection during 2011. Continuous data collection activities were suspended in June due to closing of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Coastal and Aquatic Managed Areas (CAMA). Elevated levels of dissolved phosphorus were the most common cause of poor waterquality ratings during 2011. Discrete bimonthly water-quality sampling indicated elevated phosphorus (TDP) levels at all sites sampled in TIMU. High levels of phosphorus were more common during the late summer months at most sites although TIM1 and TIM2, the most upstream sites on the Nassau River, exhibited elevated levels throughout the year. Except for poor water clarity conditions observed on a single date in April at TIM1, water clarity, chlorophyll a, dissolved oxygen, and dissolved inorganic nitrogen levels rated as either good or fair throughout the year. Dissolved oxygen levels generally decreased from January to June at all sites as water temperatures increased. Mean daily dissolved oxygen levels below 5mg/L were commonly observed at all of the sites through June. Mean daily dissolved oxygen levels below 2 mg/L were occasionally observed at both the Clapboard Creek and Nassau River Stations during late spring. Salinity levels dipped to their lowest points during March at all sites although the freshwater influence was least discernible at Kingsley Plantation and the most pronounced at the Nassau River station. Lower salinity levels were observed for longer periods of the year at the more inland stations on Nassau River and Clapboard Creek. The Nassau River station became dominated by freshwater during early spring months. pH values were consistently lower at the Nassau River site throughout the spring with the lowest pH values at the Nassau River station coinciding with periods of high streamflow.

In 2003 the Northeast Florida Water Quality Preservation Group — a coalition composed of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Coastal and Aquatic Managed Areas (CAMA), the National Park Service (NPS), and the Nature Conservancy — was formed by official Memorandum of Understanding to “collaborate to preserve, protect, and enhance water quality” of Timucuan Ecological and Historic Preserve (TIMU) in northern Florida. In 2006, the National Park Service Southeast Coast Network (SECN) in cooperation with the City of Jacksonville, Florida and CAMA established a jointly-operated water-quality monitoring network within the Preserve’s boundaries to provide relevant water-quality information to resource managers locally and at TIMU. This network is currently composed of 13 sites — 12 of which are monitored every other month by the City of Jacksonville for nutrients and chlorophyll a with one additional site monitored continuously by the SECN for pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature, salinity, specific conductance (to compute salinity) , turbidity and water level. Fixed-station water-quality monitoring at TIMU is part of the SECN Inventory & Monitoring Program, which routinely collects data at seven coastal parks located along the southeastern U.S. coast. Summary findings below are based on continuous data and bimonthly discrete sampling collected between January 1 and December 31 2012. Salinity levels at Kingsley Plantation dipped to their lowest levels of 12.5 ppt in late June in response to the nearly 16 inches of rain that fell during Tropical Storm Debby. The average monthly high was 36.3 ppt in May, and the average monthly low was 30.2 ppt in July. pH values were consistent throughout the year with monthly averages ranging from 7.9 to 8.1. The lowest pH readings also coincided with Tropical Storm Debby in late June. Turbidity values were generally low throughout the year with the highest monthly average of 9.3 NTUs in June, and the highest individual reading of 104.9 NTUs in November. Water temperature throughout the year was consistent with previous years. The lowest monthly average was 16.5°C (61.7°F) in February, and the highest monthly average was 29.1°C (84.38°F) in July. In 2012, 39% of continuous monitoring data were missing or considered anomalous and were not considered in analysis. In December of 2012, the sonde mount was determined to be compromised to a point where accurate collection of dissolved oxygen data was not possible. Because it could not be determined when this occurred, all dissolved oxygen data collected in 2012 were flagged as suspect. Elevated levels of orthophosphate (Dissolved Inorganic Phosphate / DIP) were the most common cause of poor water-quality ratings during 2012. Discrete bimonthly water-quality sampling indicated elevated DIP levels at all sites sampled in TIMU in March, and all but three sites in October. High levels of orthophosphate were recorded for every sample taken at TIM1 and TIM2, the most upstream sites on the Nassau River. Chlorophyll a, dissolved oxygen (when measured during discrete nutrient sampling), and dissolved inorganic nitrogen levels rated as either good or fair throughout the year. Water clarity rated good for all but three samples during 2012. TIM1 in June was fair along with TIM2 in October. The only poor water-clarity reading was at TIM6 in January.

Streszczenie:
Channel Islands National Park includes the five northern islands off the coast of southern California (San Miguel, Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, Anacapa, and Santa Barbara Islands) and the surrounding waters out one nautical mile. There are approximately 176 miles of coastline around the islands, about 80% of which is composed of rock. The diversity and undisturbed nature of the tidepools of this rocky coastline were recognized as special features of the islands in the enabling legislation. To conserve these communities unimpaired for future generations, the National Park Service has been monitoring the rocky intertidal communities at the islands since 1982. Sites were established between 1982 and 1998. Site selection considered visitation, accessibility, presence of representative organisms, wildlife disturbance, and safety. This report summarizes the 2018–2019 sampling year efforts (from November 2018 to April 2019) and findings of the Channel Islands National Park Rocky Intertidal Community Monitoring Program. Specific monitoring objectives are 1) to determine the long-term trends in percent cover of key sessile organisms in the rocky intertidal ecosystem, and 2) to determine population dynamics of black abalone (Haliotis cracherodii), owl limpets (Lottia gigantea), and ochre sea stars (Pisaster ochraceus). Objectives were met by monitoring percent cover of core species in target intertidal zones using photoplots and transects, and by measuring size frequency and abundance of black abalone, owl limpets, and sea stars using fixed plots or timed searches. Twelve key species or assemblages, as well as the substrate, tar, have been monitored twice per year at 21 sites on the five park islands as part of the rocky intertidal community monitoring program. Fixed photoplots were used to monitor the percent cover of thatched and acorn barnacles (Tetraclita rubescens, Balanus glandula/Chthamalus spp., respectively), mussels (Mytilus californianus), rockweeds (Silvetia compressa, and Pelvetiopsis californica (formerly Hesperophycus californicus), turfweed (Endocladia muricata), goose barnacles (Pollicipes polymerus) and tar. Point-intercept transects were used to determine the percent cover of surfgrass (Phyllospadix spp.). Information about size distribution (i.e., “size frequency” data) was collected for owl limpets in circular plots. Size distribution and relative abundance of black abalone and ochre sea stars were determined using timed searches. The maximum number of shorebirds and pinnipeds seen at one time were counted at each site. The number of concession boat visitors to the Anacapa tidepools was collected and reported. All sites were monitored in 2018–2019. This was the third year that we officially reduced our sampling interval from twice per year (spring and fall) to once in order to streamline the program and allow for the implementation of additional protocols. Weather conditions during the site visits were satisfactory, but high wind coupled with strong swell and surge limited or prevented the completion of some of the abalone and sea star searches. The percent cover for most key species or assemblages targeted in the photoplots was highly variable among sites. Mussel (Mytilus californianus) cover remained below average at Anacapa and Santa Barbara Islands. Record or near record low abundances for Mytilus were measured at Middle West Anacapa (Anacapa Island), Harris Point (San Miguel Island), Prisoner’s Harbor (Santa Cruz Island), and Sea Lion Rookery (Santa Barbara Island) sites. The only site that appeared to have above average Mytilus cover was Scorpion Rock on Santa Cruz Island. All other sites had mussel cover near or below the long-term mean. Qualitatively, Mytilus recruitment appeared low at most sites. Both rockweed species, Silvetia compressa and Pelvetiopsis californica (formerly Hesperophycus californicus), continued to decrease markedly in abundance this year at the majority of sites compared to combined averages for previous years. Fossil Reef and Northwest-Talcott on Santa Rosa Island, Sea Lion Rookery on Santa Barbara Island, and South Frenchy’s Cove on Anacapa Island were the only sites that supported Silvetia cover that was near the long-term mean. No sites exhibited above average cover of rockweed. Extremely high levels of recruitment for Silvetia and Pelvetiopsis were documented at many sites. Most sites exhibited marked declines in S. compressa abundances beginning in the early 2000s, with little recovery observed for the rockweed through this year. Barnacle (Chthamalus/Balanus spp.) cover fell below the long-term means at all islands except Anacapa, where barnacle cover was slightly above average. Endocladia muricata abundances remained comparable to the grand mean calculated for previous years at Santa Barbara, Santa Cruz, and Santa Rosa Islands, while cover of the alga decreased slightly below the long-term means at Anacapa and San Miguel Islands. Black abalone (Haliotis cracherodii) abundances at the islands remain less than one percent of 1985 population levels. Zero abalone were found throughout the entire site at Landing Cove on Santa Barbara Island and South Frenchy’s Cove on Anacapa Island. Above average abundances relative to the long-term mean generated from post-1995 data were observed at all but five sites. Juvenile black abalone were seen at all islands except Santa Barbara. Ochre sea star (Pisaster ochraceus) populations crashed in 2014 at all monitoring sites due to Sea Star Wasting Syndrome, an illness characterized by a suite of symptoms that generally result in death. The mortality event was widely considered to be the largest mortality event for marine diseases ever seen. Beginning in June 2013, the disease swiftly and significantly impacted P. ochraceus (among other species of sea stars) populations along the North American Pacific coast from Alaska to Baja California, Mexico. By the beginning of 2014, P. ochraceus abundances had declined by >95% at nearly all Channel Islands long-term intertidal monitoring sites, in addition to numerous other locations along the West Coast. At various times during the past decade, extremely high abundances (~ 500 P. ochraceus) have been observed at multiple sites, and most locations have supported >100 sea stars counted during 30-minute site-wide searches. This year, abundances ranged 0–13 individuals per site with all but one site having fewer than 10 P. ochraceus seen during routine searches. Insufficient numbers of sea stars were seen to accurately estimate the size structure of P. ochraceus populations. Only two juveniles (i.e., <50 mm) were observed at all sites combined. Giant owl limpet densities in 2018–2019 were comparable or slightly above the long-term mean at seven sites. Exceptionally high densities were measured at Northwest-Talcott on Santa Rosa Island, Otter Harbor on San Miguel Island, and Willows Anchorage on Santa Cruz Island. The sizes of L. gigantea this year varied among sites and islands. The smallest L. gigantea were observed at Otter Harbor followed closely by Willows Anchorage and Anacapa Middle West, and the largest were seen at Northwest-Talcott. Temporally, the mean sizes of L. gigantea in 2018–2019 decreased below the long-term mean at each island except Anacapa. Surfgrasses (Phyllospadix spp.) are typically monitored biannually at two sites each on Santa Cruz and Santa Rosa Islands. Beginning in 2015, all transects at each of the monitoring sites were only sampled once per year. At East Point on Santa Rosa Island, the conditions were not conducive to sampling the surfgrass transects, but qualitatively, percent cover of surfgrass appeared to be near 100% on all three transects. Relative to past years, cover of surfgrass increased above the long-term mean at Fraser Cove on Santa Cruz Island, fell slightly below the mean at Trailer on Santa Cruz Island, and remained approximately equivalent to the mean at the two Santa Rosa Island sites. Overall, the abundance and diversity of shorebirds in 2018–2019 at all sites appeared similar to observations made in recent years, with the exception of elevated numbers of brown pelicans (Pelecanus occidentalis) observed at East Point on Santa Rosa Island. Black oystercatchers (Haematopus bachmani) were the most ubiquitous shorebird seen at all sites. Black turnstones (Arenaria melanocephala) were not common relative to past years. Pinniped abundances remained comparable in 2018–2019 to historical counts for all three species that are commonly seen at the islands. Harbor seals (Phoca vitulina) were seen in the vicinity of eight sites this year. As in past years, harbor seals were most abundant at Otter Harbor and Harris Point on San Miguel Island. Elephant seals (Mirounga angustirostris) were seen at six sites during the year, where abundances ranged 1–5 individuals per location. California sea lions (Zalophus californianus) were common at Santa Barbara Island; 117 individuals were observed at Sea Lion Rookery. Sea lion abundances were higher than usual at Harris Point (N = 160) and Otter Harbor (N = 82) on San Miguel Island. Relative to past years, abundances this year were considered average at other locations.
