The severity of phonological involvement of 20 phonologically impaired children was compared using five measures: phonological deviancy score (PDS), percent consonants correct (PCC) based on connected speech and based on single words, and perceptual ratings from two groups of listeners (elementary education majors, and graduate students in speech-language pathology).
