Streszczenie:
AbstractIn our recent work [W. Ding, G. Lu and Y. Zhu, Multi-parameter local Hardy spaces, Nonlinear Anal. 184 2019, 352–380], the multi-parameter local Hardy space {h^{p}(\mathbb{R}^{n_{1}}\times\mathbb{R}^{n_{2}})} has been introduced by using the continuous inhomogeneous Littlewood–Paley–Stein square functions. In this paper, we will first establish the new discrete multi-parameter local Calderón’s identity. Based on this identity, we will define the local multi-parameter Hardy space {h_{\mathrm{dis}}^{p}(\mathbb{R}^{n_{1}}\times\mathbb{R}^{n_{2}})} by using the discrete inhomogeneous Littl

A fundamental challenge for any general theory of neural circuits is how to characterize the structure of the space of all possible circuits over a given model neuron. As a first step in this direction, this letter begins a systematic study of the global parameter space structure of continuous-time recurrent neural networks (CTRNNs), a class of neural models that is simple but dynamically universal. First, we explicitly compute the local bifurcation manifolds of CTRNNs. We then visualize the structure of these manifolds in net input space for small circuits. These visualizations reveal a set o

Abstract We consider smooth mappings acting from one Banach space to another and depending on a parameter belonging to a topological space. Under various regularity assumptions, sufficient conditions for the existence of global and semilocal continuous inverse and implicit functions are obtained. We consider applications of these results to the problem of continuous extension of implicit functions and to the problem of coincidence points of smooth and continuous compact mappings.

Time and budget constraints usually result in significant reduction in the number of uncertain parameters and incomplete exploration of the parameter space, which results in underestimation of forecast uncertainty and less-than-optimal decision making. Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods have been used in static studies for rigorous exploration of the parameter space for quantification of forecast uncertainty, but these methods suf

The standard way to measure the performance of existing continuous variable quantum key distribution (CVQKD) protocols is by using the achievable secret key rate (SKR) with respect to one parameter while keeping all other parameters constant. However, this atomistic method requires many individual parameter analyses while overlooking the co-dependence of other parameters. In this work, a numerical tool is developed for comparing different CVQKD protocols while taking into account the simultaneous effects of multiple CVQKD parameters on the capability of protocols to produce positive SKRs. For instance, neural spiking activity may be recorded from a macaque monkey engaged in a learning experiment or an EKG signal may be recorded from a human subject in an experiment. In such instances, we can model the spiking-type variable using a conditional intensity function (CIF). The CIF is similar to the rate parameter in a Poisson distribution but is more general. With spiking-type observations, we usually assume that our state variable $$x_{k}$$ x k affects the rate of spiking through the CIF.

Abstract The propagation of sound in the ocean involves many complicated effects. At a basic level, the sound reflects off the ocean surface and ocean bottom, producing a sort of barber-shop mirror effect that leads to multiple images of the sound source. The strength of these echoes depends on the quality of the surface and bottom reflectors. A rough sea is more like a broken mirror that scatters sound energy; a soft silty bottom is a weak reflector that may be compared to a dark mirror. However, it gets still more complicated. In this work, the ECTS is used to define smaller search spaces, which are used in a second stage by a GA to find the respective local minima. The ECTS covers the global search space by using a TS concept called diversification and then selects the most promising regions in the search space.
