We report the case of a 65-year-old man with a history of inoperable poorly differentiated carcinoma of the right lung, for which he had received chemoradiotherapy. Although lipomas are the most common benign form of soft tissue tumors that are >5 cm in diameter. They are extremely rare in the hand localization. They are slowly progressive and usually do not cause numbness or weakness of the hand. They can be deceptively large and extensive leading to misdiagnosis. The findings at radiography, computed tomography and angiography and the clinical course of 30 cases of angiosarcoma were reviewed. The variety of primary sites results in a multitude of findings but the most common finding was that of a hypervascular soft tissue mass seen on CT and angiography. Additional findings of well demarcated cortical defects in long bones were also frequently noted.
