Background: Cerebral palsy is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects movement, muscle tone, and motor skills, often causing feeding difficulties. Individuals with cerebral palsy experience dysphagia, prolonged meal durations, and increased dependency on caregivers for feeding assistance. It is important to understand the relationship between mobility impairments, feeding dependency, and dietary adaptations for optimising nutritional intake and quality of life. Objective: This research aims to analyse the feeding difficulties faced by individuals with cerebral palsy, assess the influence of

Since Darwin, biologists have sought to understand the evolution and origins of phenotypic adaptations. The skull is particularly diverse due to intense natural selection on feeding biomechanics. We investigated the genetic and molecular origins of trophic adaptation using Lake Malawi cichlids, which have undergone an exemplary evolutionary radiation. We analyzed morphological differences in the lateral and ventral head shape among an insectivore that eats by suction feeding, an obligate biting herbivore, and their F2 hybrids. We identified variation in a series of morphological traits—includi

However, Dermestes maculatus DeGeer (1774) can eat soft, hydrated tissues, so it is unclear if the apparent preference of Dermestes maculatus for dry tissue reflects physiological adaptation or competitive exclusion by blowflies and other invertebrate scavengers that arrive at carrion earlier and may have faster immature development rates. Transitioning cattle from a high-forage to a high-concentrate diet increases the risk for ruminal acidosis and is often related to decreased feed intake, which compromises animal health and performance. Since control of feed intake and rumen motility are closely related, we hypothesized that a reduction in rumen motility may be associated with a reduction in feed intake during this transition. Computer programs were created to analyze feed disappearance and rumen pressure data for feeding behavior as well as identification and characterization of rumen contractions, respectively. Streszczenie:
This paper summarizes the comparison of predictions by a compact model of air flow and transport in data centers to temperature measurements of an operational data center. The simplified model and code package, referred to as COMPACT (Compact Model of Potential Flow and Convective Transport), is intended as an alternative to the use of time-intensive full CFD thermofluidic models as a first-order design tool, as well as a potential improvement to plant-based controllers. COMPACT is based on potential flow and combined with an application of convective energy equations, using sparse matrix solv

Streszczenie:
The article presents results of adaptation of collectible silkworm breeds to an artificial nutrient medium. The assessment and selection of the most viable breeds for artificial feeding is carried out. Recommendations are given to increase viability and improve susceptibility to artificial nutrient medium, as well as recommendations on the selection of silkworm breeds for further breeding.

Streszczenie:
The purpose of this publication is to summarize the state of knowledge on the effects of environmental variability and climate change for individual species and stocks based on literature review, giving species-climate information for 32 key taxa in Swedish marine and coastal waters. The report is written in English. The extent and scale of recent changes in climate due to global warming is unprecedented and causes increasing effects on ecosystems. In oceans, ongoing warming leads to, for example, increased water temperatures, decreased ice cover and effects on hydrology and water circulation
