This study was carried out at the Agricultural Research Station of the University of Basra's College of Agriculture in a canopy covered with saran cloth on paulownia tree seedlings. All experimental plants were fertilized with compound fertilizer (20-20-20) NPK monthly throughout the study period at a rate of 1 g per pot as a constant factor. Two factors were examined in the study: the first is nitrogen fertilization with urea fertilizer (46% nitrogen) using three levels (0, 1.6, 3.2 g plant-1), and the second factor is spraying with three concentrations of ascorbic acid (0, 30, 60 mg l-1). An important factor, which often limits the effectiveness of current biodegradation techniques, is the poor ability of the microbial communities inhabiting the contaminated environments to degrade the pollutants. Therefore, addition of fertilizers of organic and mineral origin, which trigger the metabolic processes of microorganisms and, as a result, stimulate their growth, is a common practice. The aim of our research was to evaluate the effect of a fertilizer on the abundance of microorganisms during soil remediation. Organic sapropel is a high-quality source of soil humus replenishment and is highly effective when applied to degraded and technogenically contaminated soils. The specific conditions of sapropel deposit formation result in a dispersed structure containing 92-98% water. To utilize sapropel as a solid organic fertilizer, its moisture content must be reduced to 60%, which requires significant energy input. One approach to utilizing organic sapropel in its natural moisture state is treating it with a weak alkaline (or acidic) solution to produce humic fertilizers. To ensure a high-quality reaction

Today, USDA, Economic Research Service (ERS) bases its U.S. agricultural productivity statistics on a sophisticated system of production accounts, drawing data from numerous sources. A notable feature of the U.S. productivity accounts is the input quality adjustment, as some inputs have undergone significant changes in their quality over time. This study investigates the disconnect between falling agricultural commodity prices and persistent food inflation by applying a Heterogeneous Vector Autoregression (VAR) model to a panel of 203 countries using data from 1961 to 2022. It analyzes the impact of global crops, fertilizer, and oil prices on domestic inflation and explores the asymmetries in the pass-through of global shocks. Results show that fertilizer price shocks significantly influence crop prices, especially maize and soybeans, while production shocks have a weaker effect.
