The availability of various interpretations triggered by these expressions depending on the context is explored. We suggest that both these adverbs require a complex inferential calculus that should be explained by a procedure. His account of these travels, the Voyage en Orient, was published in 1835 and went on to become one of the major Eastern travel-narratives of the nineteenth century.
