Tracking of anatomical and functional results obtained after non-surgical treatment of the distal radius included 115 patients in total, of whom 51cases were available to be analyzed and processed within this work. Tracking of the results was based upon Anatomical Score System and Gartland-Werley Score System. The final numerical results obtained through Anatomical Score were the following:excellent in 12 cases (23.52%), good in 30 cases (58.82%), satisfactory in 8 cases (15.68%), dissatisfactory in 1 case (1.96%). Corrective osteotomy is an established but challenging treatment for distal radius malunion. Short- and intermediate-term results have been previously published while long-term results have not. The long-term results of 22 patients treated with corrective osteotomy for symptomatic distal radius malunion are presented (range 6—24 years, mean 13 years). All patients completed the DASH questionnaire and the modified Gartland and Werley, and Green and O’Brien scores postoperatively. Wrist alignment was assessed through standard wrist radiographs. Introduction: Distal radius fractures are typical high energy trauma injuries, and their treatment is impacted by parameters such as fracture stability, displacement, and patient characteristics. Fragment-specific fixation can be an effective treatment option for distal radius fractures. The purpose of this study was to assess the therapy of communited intra articular distal radius fractures using a fragment specific fracture fixation approach. Material and Methods: Thirty-one cases with communited distal radius fractures above 21 years of age were recruited.

BACKGROUND: Volar Barton’s fracture is a shearing mechanism of injury that results in fracture and subluxation of distal end radius in which volar rim of the distal radius is displaced with hand and carpus. Open reduction and volar plate fixation ensure more stable change of displacement, preservation of reduction, and early mobilization. AIM: This study aims to assess the functional and radiological outcome results of volar Barton’s fracture treated by volar buttress plate using the demerit points system of Gartland and Werley.
