Gastrocoptidae Pilsbry, 1918 is a group of land snails with expressive species richness and widely distributed through the planet's terrestrial ecosystems. In Brazil, members of this family include only representatives of the genus Gastrocopta Wollaston, 1878, which are mainly found in the phytogeographic domains of the Atlantic Forest, Caatinga, Cerrado and Pampa. Land snails were collected for the project 'Conserving Myanmar's Karst Biodiversity' from the limestone karsts in Mon, Kayin, and Shan states and in the regions of Tanintharyi and Mandalay between 2015 and 2017, through cooperation with Fauna and Flora International (FFI) and the Forestry Department of Myanmar. The Caucasus and the adjacent Pontic Mountains in north-eastern Anatolia are home to numerous endemic land snail genera and species. The diversity of the region is the result of both intra-regional speciation and the persistence of relict lineages. The same seemed to be true for the genus <i>Helix</i>, which has been present in the Greater Caucasus since the Miocene. Kết quả đã xác định được 62 loài và phân loài ốc cạn có ở khu vực nghiên cứu, thuộc 18 họ, 4 bộ, 3 phân lớp. Phân lớp Neritimorpha có 2 họ (Helicinidae, Hydrocenidae). Caenogastropoda có 3 họ (Cyclophoridae, Diplommatinidae, Pupinidae). Heterobranchia có số họ nhiều nhất với 13 họ (Veronicellidae, Achatinidae, Diapheridae, Streptaxidae, Plectopylidae, Gastrocoptidae, Clausiliidae, Philomycidae, Chronidae, Trochomorphidae, Ariophantidae, Helicarionidae, Camaenidae).
