We extended the three dimensional ideal Bose gas theory into the fractal dimensions between 2 and 3. The thermodynamic properties and critical exponents of the ideal Bose gas are studied through the functional analysis of the Bose gas function in the fractal dimensions. The condensation and phase transition of the ideal system depend on its dimensions. The phase transition is detectable only in the sufficiently high derivatives of the specific heat function. The derivatives change discontinuously at values of the fractal dimensions which we have calculated.

A jet is a stream of one fluid entering another at high speed. In the simplest classical model of jet flow, the geometry is two-dimensional, gravity and viscosity are ignored, the moving fluid is a liquid, and the stationary fluid is a gas whose influence is assumed negligible. The description of this idealized flow can be reduced to a problem of complex analysis, but, except for very simple nozzle geometries, that problem cannot be solved analytically. This paper presents an efficient procedure for solving the jet problem numerically in the case of an arbitrary polygonal nozzle.

We introduce a rotation invariant short distance cutoff in the theory of an ideal fluid in three space dimensions, by requiring momenta to take values in a sphere. This leads to an algebra of functions in position space that is noncommutative. Nevertheless it is possible to find appropriate analogues of the Euler equations of an ideal fluid. The system still has a Hamiltonian structure. It is hoped that this will be useful in the study of possible singularities in the evolution of Euler (or Navier–Stokes) equations in three dimensions.
