The article presents analytical studies of the microflora of 35 patients aged 18 to 65 years with inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses with benign vascular tumors of the nasal cavity. In patients with inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses with benign vascular tumors of the nasal cavity, the composition of the microflora differs from the primary inflammatory diseases of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses: the degree of inoculation of anaerobes, fungi and associations of microorganisms increases with the growth and spread of the tumor.

It is now known that any of the known pathogens can cause myocardial damage, including myocarditis. Often, viruses that can directly interact with cardiomyocytes become an etiological factor, which leads to cell apoptosis. The authors present the results of a biochemical study of blood in patients with diseases of the nose and paranasal sinuses against the background of myocarditis. It is indicated that the disease of the nose and paranasal sinuses affect the biochemical parameters of the blood and, in turn, exacerbate the course of myocarditis.

Introduction. Rhinosinusitis polyposa consists in a chronic inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nose and paranasal sinuses, followed by recurrent growth of polyps and characterised by a high prevalence. Nasal polyps may be associated with the presence of viscous mucin; their characteristic CT signs are hyperostosis of the walls of the affected sinuses and thinning cavity walls until the bone is destroyed, this being a sign of aseptic osteomyelitis. The same sign is typical for inverted papilloma, the most common benign tumour of the nose and sinuses.Materials and methods. The present ar

The sinuses are bone cavities, coated with mucous membrane (mucosa), filled with air.The bone structure of the human skull is complex and interesting. The large number of paranasal sinuses greatly relieve the weight of the head and thus the load on the spine becomes significantly lower. There are 4 sets of so-called paranasal sinuses: two frontal sinuses, placed in the forehead, above the eyes, two maxillary (jaws), located in the upper jaw, an ethmoidal sinus, built of 18 to 22 small cavities, is located behind the nasal occipital sinus, located behind the nose and under the brain. In spite of scientific achievements in diagnostics and treatment of the diseases of nose and paranasal sinuses in children, this problem remains important. Acute bacterial rhinosinusitis occupies one of the leading positions among ENT diseases in terms of seeking medical care, and often results in the development of orbital and intracranial complications. Rhinogenic orbital complications in children occur more frequently than in adults, where 10–22% are purulent-septic orbital processes with a possible outcome of blindness. Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is an inflammatory disease of the nose and paranasal sinuses characterized by the presence of nasal polyps. The symptoms produced by the presence of nasal polyps such as nasal obstruction, nasal discharge, facial pain, headache, and loss of smell cause a worsening in the quality of life of patients. The source of the nasal polyps remains unclear, although it seems to be due to a chronic inflammation process in the sinonasal mucosa.
