Abstract Objective The aim of this study was to investigate a magnetic resonance imaging-based definition of lower uterine segment carcinoma. Methods We retrospectively reviewed 587 consecutive patients with endometrial cancer who underwent hysterectomy. Lower uterine segment carcinoma was determined through pathological examination and magnetic resonance imaging assessment. For imaging assessment, the location of the inner lining of the uterus was classified into four equal parts on a sagittal section image. Caesarean Scar Ectopic Pregnancy (CSEP) is one of the rarest forms of ectopic pregnancy. We present a 30 year female presented with 8 weeks of amenorrhea. Her obstetric history was G3P2D2. Her B HCG levels were >10,000 IU/L. She had history of previous 2 lower uterine segment Caesarean section. She was referred to our hospital in stage of severe hypovolemic shock related to vaginal bleeding. USG findings were suggestive of death of fetus of about 6 weeks 5 days. Gestational -sac at lower uterine segment Caesarean section scar level. Radiological diagnosis was? Scar pregnancy. On histopathol

Arterial branches to the uterus and ovaries that pass through the mesosalpinx contribute significantly to the maintenance of the ovarian reserve. Especially arterial supply of the uterine tube is provided by a number of anastomoses between both the uterine and ovarian vessels. Knowledge on the morphologic peculiarities will allow to identify main contributors especially blood flow ultrasound examination for the purpose of ovary preserving surgery. This study aimed at identifying landmarks especially for so-called low-flow tubal vessels. Arteries of 17 female Thiel-embalmed bodies were studied

Objective. To evaluate the contractile activity in the lower uterine segment depending on the performance of metroplasty in abdominal delivery in women with a history of two previous cesarean sections (CS). Patients and methods. The study included 100 pregnant women who were divided into two groups: the study group (n = 50) – pregnant women with a history of two previous CS who underwent metroplasty during delivery; the control group (n = 50) – pregnant women with a history of two previous CS who underwent surgical delivery without excision of scar tissue in the lower segment. Abstract Aim: To compare smooth muscle cells, type I collagen, and apoptosis of the lower uterine segment of women who had/without a prior cesarean delivery. Methods: Alpha smooth muscle actin (α-SMA), type I collagen, and nuclear apoptosis were compared between the groups from lower uterine segment. Twenty-eight controls and 82 with one prior cesarean delivery were included. The women with a prior cesarean section were classified by time since the surgery: ≤3 years, >3 and ≤5 years, >5 and ≤7 years, >7 and ≤9 years, and >9 years. Results: Smooth muscle volume density (VD) % was si
