Plants without foliar symptoms and rhizosphere soil were sampled regularly from emergence until the following May or June. Three independent studies were conducted for spot blotch (Bipolaris sorokiniana), Fusarium head blight (FHB) (Fusarium graminearum), and root rot diseases (Fusarium species and B. sorokiniana).
