Streszczenie:
The evolution of the gauge coupling constants in the SU (N) and SO (N) grand unification models is examined. It is shown that the three coupling constants αs, α2, α1 in the minimal SU(5) model do not merge into one at 99% confidence level when they are extrapolated from the values at the mass scale MZ, whereas in its supersymmetric version, the coupling constants do merge into one within one standard deviation. In the SU (N) (with N > 5) models with a two-step symmetry breaking the coupling constants can merge into one, but these models are ruled out by the constraint imposed on the unifica

We start systematic investigation for the possibility to have supersymmetry (SUSY) as an asymptotic state of the gauge theory in the high energy (UV) limit, due to the renormalization group running of coupling constants of the theory. The answer on whether this situation takes place or not, can be resolved by dealing with the running of the ratios between Yukawa and scalar couplings to the gauge coupling. The behavior of these ratios does not depend too much on whether gauge coupling is asymptotically free (AF) or not. It can be shown that the UV stable fixed point for the Yukawa coupling is n

With this scenario, different 331 models and their corresponding supersymmetric versions are considered, and we find the versions that allow the symmetry breaking described above. Quasiparticle quark–gluon plasma (qQGP) model and strongly coupled quark–gluon plasma (SCQGP) are two different phenomenological models of quark–gluon plasma (QGP) that try to explain the nonideal behavior seen in lattice simulation of QCD and in relativistic heavy ion collisions. These models almost successfully explain the existing lattice data up to 5Tc. Here, we investigate how better these models fit the recent lattice data results of precision SU(3) thermodynamics for a large temperature range (up to 1000Tc) by studying the statistical mechanics and thermodynamics of gluon plasma and hen

This paper presents an analytical solution of one-dimensional transient molecular-motor-assisted transport equations that describe transport of different organelles (such as transport vesicles loaded with a cargo of specific proteins) in a neuron's axon or dendrite. Large intracellular organelles are transported in the cytoplasm by a combined action of diffusion and motor-driven transport. In an axon, organelles are transported away from the neuron's body towards the axon's terminal by kinesin-family molecular motors running on tracks composed of microtubules (MTs); old and used components are

This paper is concerned with intriguing possibilities for non-conventional critical behavior that arise when a nearly critical strongly non-equilibrium system is subjected to chaotic or turbulent motion of the environment. We briefly explain the connection between the critical behavior theory and the quantum field theory that allows the application of the powerful methods of the latter to the study of stochastic systems. Then, we use the results of our recent research to illustrate several interesting effects of turbulent environment on the non-equilibrium critical behavior. Specifically, we c

One of the enduring puzzles in high energy particle physics is why quarks do not exist independently ‎despite their existence inside the hadron as quarks have never been found in isolation. This problem may ‎be solved by formulating a QCD potential for the entire range of interaction distances of the quarks. The ‎mystery could be related to the fundamental origin of the mass of elementary particles despite the success ‎of the quantum field theories to the highest level of accuracy. The renormalization program is an essential ‎part of the calculation of the scattering amplitudes, where the infi

This review is devoted to the Multiple Point Principle (MPP), according to which several vacuum states with the same energy density exist in Nature. The MPP is implemented to the Standard Model (SM), Family replicated gauge group model (FRGGM) and phase transitions in gauge theories with/without monopoles. Using renormalization group equations for the SM, the effective potential in the two-loop approximation is investigated, and the existence of its postulated second minimum at the fundamental scale is confirmed. Phase transitions in the lattice gauge theories are reviewed. The lattice results

Based on Dirac’s negative energy, we propose and study the negative matter. Bondi’s results are wrong. First, the negative matter can be the simplest model of unified dark matter and dark energy. Next, we discuss various possible theories of the negative matter: some field equations, similar electrodynamics, field equations with non-symmetry, etc. Third, the quantum theory of negative matter is researched. Matter surrounded by dark-negative matter corresponds to an infinitely deep potential trap in quantum mechanics and forms a base of the universal wave-particle duality and quantum mechanics.

The traditional "explanation" for the observed acceleration of the universe is the existence of a positive cosmological constant. However, this can hardly be a truly convincing explanation, as an expanding universe is not expected to have a static vacuum energy density. So, it must be an approximation. This reminds us of the so-called fundamental "constants" of nature. Recent and past measurements of the fine structure constant and of the proton–electron mass ratio suggest that basic quantities of the standard model, such as the QCD scale parameter, Λ QCD , might not be conserved in the course

Transients in electromechanical systems need to be modeled adequately if the existing electric drive control algorithms are to be improved, or new ones are to be developed. This fully applies to the electric drives of roll-ing mill stands. When studying such drives, one often needs to find a tradeoff between the complexity of Park-Gorev equation-based mathematical description of processes in variable frequency drives, and the capabilities of simpler models that adequately describe the processes relevant for each specific case.
