Streszczenie:
A strong static magnetic field (SSMF) of about 10 T was introduced to the aging process of AZ91 magnesium alloy. Comparing with conventional aging, in the first stage of aging with SSMF, discontinuous precipitation of Mg17Al12 at grain boundary was accelerated. The magnetically induced grain boundary migration might be responsible for this acceleration effect. The density of the Mg17Al12 continuous precipitates inside the grains was increased and the precipitation plates became thinner in SSMF pre-aged specimens, which might be ascribed to the retarded volume diffusion resulted from the SSMF.

The conclusion is that this decay cannot happen through production of single pairs, as in the electric case, but only through the production of a many-body state, since the mutual magnetic interactions of the created pairs play a relevant role. The investigation is made in view of the proposed existence of huge magnetic field strengths around some kind of neutron stars.

The static characteristics of magnetized journal bearing, which is lubricated with ferrofluid, are investigated. The magnetic force acting on the ferrofluid is obtained using a solenoid model for the magnetized bearing. The model suggests that the position of oil film should be located with the positive magnetic force region. In the study we found that the main feature of the magnetic force is the ability to change the size of the cavitation region, and then all the static characteristics. The pressure resulting from the magnetic force should be incorporated into the Reynolds equation and it c

Motivated by considerations of the solar toroidal magnetic field we have studied the behaviour of a layer of uniform magnetic field embedded in a convectively stable atmosphere. Since the field can support extra mass, such a configuration is top-heavy and thus instabilities of the Rayleigh-Taylor type can occur. For both static and rotating basic states we have followed the evolution of the interchange modes (no bending of the field lines) by integrating numerically the nonlinear compressible MHD equations. The initial Rayleigh-Taylor instability of the magnetic field gives instabilities to st

ABSTRACT The rich structure that we observe in molecular clouds is due to the interplay between strong magnetic fields and supersonic (turbulent) velocity fluctuations. The velocity fluctuations interact with the magnetic field, causing it too to fluctuate. Using numerical simulations, we explore the nature of such magnetic field fluctuations, $\delta \mathrm{{\boldsymbol {\mathit {B}}}}$, over a wide range of turbulent Mach numbers, $\operatorname{\mathcal {M}}= 2\!-\!20$ (i.e. from weak to strong compressibility), and Alfvén Mach numbers, $\operatorname{\mathcal {M}_{\text{A0}}}= 0.1\!-\!100

Magnetic phenomenon is one of the most fundamental phenomena of substances. All substances possess strong or weak magnetic property, and have different responds to external magnetic field. Development of high performance materials by using external magnetic field is an important research field of material science. In this study, a static magnetic field is applied during thermoforming processing of low density polyethylene (LDPE)/carbon nanotube (CNT), LDPE/nanographite composites. The effect of magnetic field treatment on dielectric property of these composites is investigated. Experimental re

We consider a two-dimensional f-deformed Dirac oscillator in the presence of an external uniform static magnetic field. We show that the two-dimensional f-deformed Dirac oscillator maps exactly onto the anti-Jaynes–Cummings (AJC) and Jaynes–Cummings (JC) models. We also obtain the energy spectrum and corresponding eigenstates in the weak and strong magnetic field regimes. We show how the change in chirality is associated with the magnitude of the magnetic field. We investigate the two-dimensional f-deformed Dirac oscillator in an external (isospin) field and find its energy spectrum.

Experimental studies of the magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of the Laves phase of GdNi2 have been carried out in external static up to 3 T and pulsed up to 50 T magnetic fields. It has been found that in a magnetic field of 3 T the change in the magnetic entropy of the alloy reaches its maximum value ΔSm = −8 J/(kg K) in the vicinity of the Curie temperature TC = 73.6 K. The corresponding adiabatic temperature change in this case, calculated by an indirect method, is ΔTad ≈ 3 K. The maximum value of the adiabatic temperature change measured by the direct method in a pulsed magnetic fiel
