Streszczenie:
Abstract Thermal analysis provides a successful technique for the characterization and identification of rubber compounds. In this study, TGA (thermogravimetric analysis) and DTG (TGA derivative) profiles are used to predict and define the physico-mechanical properties of natural rubber — butadiene rubber (NR / BR) blends, using their thermal behaviors. DTG curves of vulcanizate showed that the initial degradation temperature of NR is lower than BR. According to TGA-DTG profiles we have demonstrated two useful factors, ΔTmax (Tmax BR100−Tmax BRX) and peak height ratio of NR-BR blends which are

AbstractAn homogenous 8.4 Å hydrate was obtained after washing intercalated KAc- nacrite. X-ray diffraction analysis based on comparison of the experimental and calculated profiles enabled the amount of water (one molecule per Si2Al2O5(OH)4) and the z coordinate along c* (6.5 Å) to be determined. The hydration state was accompanied by a decrease in the coherent domain along c* in the order nacrite > KAc-nacrite > H2O-nacrite. The IR spectrum of the hydrated nacrite showed an evolution of the structure with a shift of ν(OH) from 3702, 3649 and 3630 cm−1 to 3690, 3641 and 3620 cm−1, respec

Metal complxes of Glimeperide drugs were prepared and characterized based on elemental analysis, FT-IR, Molar conductance and thermal analysis (TGA and DTG) technique. From elemental analysis data, the complexes were proposed to have general formulae (GLM)2Co2H2O, (GLM)2Cu, (GLM)2Zn,and (GLM)2La2H2O. The molar conductance data reveal that all the metal complexes are non-electrolytic, IR spectra shows that GLM are coordinated to metal ions in a neutral bidentate manner from the ESR spectra and XRD-spectra. It is found that the geometrical structures of these complexes are tetrahedral Cu(II) ,Zn

The standard method for determining the biomass composition, in terms of main lignocellulosic fraction (hemicellulose, cellulose and lignin) contents, is by chemical method; however, it is a slow and expensive methodology, which requires complex techniques and the use of multiple chemical reagents. The main objective of this article is to provide a new efficient, low-cost and fast method for the determination of the main lignocellulosic fraction contents of different types of biomasses from agricultural by-products to softwoods and hardwoods. The method is based on applying deconvolution techn

Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) has been recognized as a simple and reliable analytical tool for characterization of industrially manufactured graphene powders. Thermal properties of graphene are dependent on many parameters such as particle size, number of layers, defects and presence of oxygen groups to improve the reliability of this method for quality control of graphene materials, therefore it is important to explore the influence of these parameters. This paper presents a comprehensive TGA study to determine the influence of different particle size of the three key materials including g

The aim of this research was to complete the characteristics of cocoa beans and cocoa butter extracted from two different Theobroma cacao species: Criollo originated from Peru and Forastero originated from Ecuador, both in the version of raw (unroasted) and roasted beans. Before extraction, the cocoa beans were characterized by proximate analysis. The determination of fatty acids composition was carried out by gas chromatography (GC). The positional distribution of fatty acids in the sn-2 positions of triacylglycerols (TAGs) was also determined. The thermogravimetric analyses (TGA/DTG) were pe

In this work, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermogravimetry (DTG), and differential scanning calorimetric (DSC) were used to assess the combustion of microalgae biomass, a bituminous coal, and their blend. Furthermore, different correlations were tested for estimating the high heating value of microalgae biomass and coal, with both materials possessing similar values. TGA evidenced differences between the combustion of the studied fuels, but no relevant interaction occurred during their co-combustion, as shown by the DTG and DSC curves. Abstract The thermal degradation of original and aged chloroprene rubber was studied using thermogravimetric analysis. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential thermogravimetric analysis (DTG) techniques were used to detect the mass loss during the temperature elevation. By the analysis of the mass loss curves through usual kinetic methods, it was possible to evaluate the different degradation processes present in the overall degradation. The activation energies of the degradation processes were obtained using the dynamic, non-isothermal Kissinger and Osawa methods and the half-width
