Dislocation of the hip joint in adults is usually caused by high-energy trauma such as road traffic accidents or falls from heights. Posterior dislocation is observed in most cases. However, atraumatic anterior dislocation of the hip joint is extremely rare. We present a case of atraumatic anterior dislocation of the hip joint that was induced by an activity of daily living. The possible causes of this dislocation were anterior capsule insufficiency due to developmental dysplasia of the hip, posterior pelvic tilt following thoracolumbar kyphosis due to vertebral fracture, and acetabular anteri

Traumatic cervical spondyloptosis is an uncommon and severe form of facet joint dislocation that commonly leads to severe neurological damage. Decision making regarding the reduction and fixation technique is challenging, especially when a patient is neurologically intact, since an undiagnosed prolapsed disk at the involved level may lead to severe neurological consequences during reduction. A 24-year-old male was admitted after sustaining a severe direct axial blow to his head. Computed tomographic and magnetic resonance imaging scans revealed an acute C6C7 fracture dislocation with spondylop

Background: Spinal cord injury is a severe medical illness that frequently leaves patients permanently disabled and with severe morbidity. In some cases, sports may be one of the factors causing spinal cord injuries, like horse riding. Anatomical variation in the vertebra may become a potential risk factor for an injury such as Klippel-Feil syndrome. Case: A 30-year-old female came to the emergency room after falling while riding a horse. The patient complained of not being able to move her hands and feet and feeling numb from the neck area to the feet. X-rays of the cervical spine showed an a

Paediatric Bow Hunter’s syndrome (BHS), or rotational vertebral artery syndrome, is a rare cause of posterior circulation insufficiency in children. It results from mechanical obstruction of the vertebral artery by the transverse process of cervical vertebrae resulting in vertebrobasilar insufficiency during the neck rotation to the sides. Paediatric dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a rare myocardial disease that presents with ventricular dilatation and cardiac dysfunction. There is a direct relationship between the data of the instability indicator and the clinical picture: the higher it is, the more pronounced the clinical manifestations of vertebral displacementare. And vice versa, conversely, its zero value (there is a functional block) coincides with rare exacerbations of the pain syndrome and a relatively satisfactory condition of the patient.
