ABSTRACT Background: Pre-eclampsia (PE), a complication of pregnancy, remains a major cause of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. Research showed that vitamin D reduces the risk of pre-eclampsia in pregnant women. The recommended dose for vitamin D supplementation is 600 IU per day. This study aimed to determine the effect of vitamin D supplementationon the pre-eclampsia risk reduction in pregnant women.
