Texto completo da fonte--- The aim was to determine the anti-inflammatory effect of Ricinus communis L. “higuerilla”. In rats which were induced acute and chronic inflammation. It was carried out the photochemical study determination of the anti-inflammatory activity of Ricinus communis L. “higuerilla”. The species was located y gathered in the month of February of 2008, community of Chosica, at 800 msnm. County of Lima, department of Lima. The leaves was dried at 38 º C in an oven with circulating air, ground and macerated with ethanol (70°) .By means of a phytochemical march phenolic compound, tannins, alkaloids, steroids, saponines and reductor sugars were detected. For the chromatographic analysis in analytic fine layer, in preparatory scale. The system of solvents was used: EtO-MeOH-H2O (80:3:3), the structural elucidation was carried out for UV-visible spectroscopy and RI: se two probable fractions were determined; F1: 3´-metoxiflavona y F2:7-metoxiflavona. It was used Winter experimental model to evaluate the acute state (subplantar edema) with albumin given at the level of right plantar fascia of the rat. It was used 40Holtman stump rats of 200 +/- 20 g randomly divided in groups of eight each, one whereas a control with distilled water 5 mL/kg, groups with anti-inflammatory agent and extract in 2 doses also with dexamethasone and ibuprofen, being 40rats for evaluation against albumin where was considered mL of lower limb volume, percentage of effectiveness antiinflammatory. The results showed a reduction of 15% acute inflammation (p <0.01). Conclusion. Underneath the experimental conditions it has shown that hydro alcoholic extract of Ricinus communis L. “higuerilla”. in rats has an anti-inflammatory effect, This activity is probably due to the flavonoid presence in the hydro alcoholic extract .When evaluating the acute toxicity to dose limit of the hydro alcoholic extract of leaves in Mus musculus albinic mice species stump Balb/c, It has been determined that it doesn´t produce mortality to the maximum dose of 2 000 mg/kg, for what is qualified as “Not classified” (nontoxic). Keywords: Ricinus communis L. “higuerilla”. Anti-inflammatory, acute toxicity, flavonoids.

Texto completo da fonte-- The present work was developed in two main stages: the obtaining, characterization and evaluation of the anti-inflammatory activity of the hydroalcoholic extract of the species Baccharis latifolia “Chilco”; and, the obtaining, characterization and evaluation of the anti-inflammatory activity of a pharmaceutical dosage form of topical usage containing the extract in study satisfactorily. In the obtaining of the hydroalcoholic extract, dry and pulverized leaves of the plant collected in the department of Amazonas were used; this extract was characterized using physicochemical and chromatographic techniques and a phytochemical screening; the anti-inflammatory effect was evaluated using the carragenina-induced edema method in mice, concentrations of 1,25 mg/g, 2,5 mg/g, 3,75 mg/g, 5 mg/g and 7 mg/g of the extract were tested with respect to a control group, it was found that the minor dose which maintains an inhibition of the edema up to the 70% after 5 hours of the carrageenin injection was the 2,5 mg/g concentration. This concentration was chosen to develop the pharmaceutical dosage form that allowed the incorporation of the extract at 2% in relation to the dry residue, obtaining with the pharmaceutical dosage form cream – gel optimal characteristics in the finished product, which was evaluated using physicochemical and chromatographic techniques. Finally, the anti-inflammatory effect of the finished product was evaluated using the carragenina-induced edema method in mice, determining that the anti-inflammatory effect was greater than the effect of the extract, verifying that the anti-inflammatory effect of the extract in the cream-gel stays and is even superior. -- Key words: Baccharis latifolia, anti-inflammatory effect, cream - gel.

Texto completo da fonte--- “Appraisal of the Anti-inflammatory effects of glucocorticoids in patients that need inferior third molars surgery” The purpose of the research was to determinate if the intramuscular (IM) administration in gluteus muscle of 4mg Dexamethasone before and the IM administration in masseter muscle of 4mg Dexamethasone after inferior third molar’s extraction provoked greater decrease than the IM administration in gluteus muscle of 4mg of Dexamethasone only before of surgeon, the IM administration of 4 mg Dexamethasone in masseter only after of surgeon and front of Control group. The Dexamethasone was administered in 28 patients (16 woman and 12 man) of Stomatology Department at Naval Medical Center, with Impact inferior third molar diagnosis whose were divided in four groups: three groups in the Study Group; group of patients with IM administration in gluteus muscle of 4mg Dexamethasone before and the IM administration of 4mg Dexamethasone in Masseter muscle after of inferior third molar’s extraction, the group of IM administration in gluteus muscle of 4 mg Dexamethasone only before the surgeon, the group of IM administration of 4 mg. Dexametasona in masseter muscle finished the surgeon and Control Group (patients who hadn’t been administered Dexamethasone). The evaluation of inflammation was divided in three sub variable: edema, trismus and pain these were evaluated in Study Group and Control Group. Edema was determinated by horizontal measurement’s variation of the anatomic point’s intersection (Tragus- Pogonion of soft tissue, Gonion-external angle of eyes). The measure was doing until the three day and the seven day after the extraction. Trismus was determinated evaluating the interincisal opening maxim with measurements daily for seven days after of inferior third molar’s extraction. The pain was determinated wearing the Analogous Visual Scale and counting the number of analgesic taken by patients, the pain’s measurement was done three days later of inferior third molar’s extraction. The results showed that it doesn’t exist significant statistics difference in decreases of edema, trismus, and pain among the group of IM administration in gluteus muscle of 4mg Dexamethasone before and the IM administration in masseter muscle of 4mg Dexamethasone after of inferior third molar’s extraction, the Group which has received IM administration in gluteus muscle of 4 mg Dexamethasone only before the surgeon and the group of IM administration in masseter muscle of 4 mg Dexamethasone finished the surgeon only. The group of IM administration in gluteus muscle of 4mg. Dexamethasone before and the IM administration in masseter muscle of 4mg Dexamethasone after of inferior third molar’s extraction; and the IM administration in gluteus muscle of 4 mg Dexamethasone only before the surgeon provoked a greater decrease of inflammation front of Control group with significant high difference. Finally the results found the use of Dexamethasone in inferior third molar’s surgeon produced less inflammation post surgeon than patients who hadn’t been receive Dexamethasone. The use of Dexamethasone is an useful tool to prevention of inflammatory complications post surgeon of inferior third molars and other kinds of oral surgeons.
