This thesis examined two-dimensional ferroelectric materials and their applications using density functional theory calculations. The research has revealed several novel applications for 2D ferroelectric materials. It illustrated that ferroelectric materials can be used to modify electronic, photocatalytic and magnetic properties of two-dimensional materials.
