Resumo:

This article discusses about the Askes Workers rights protection after `dissolution without liquidation of PT. Askes (Persero), which The Askes Workers turned to BPJS Kesehatan workers. This research is yuridis normative by using secondary data. The results showed that the workers’ rights protection after dissolution based on Law No.13 of 2003 and The Employment Agreement between Workers with PT. Askes (Persero). The workers’ rights changes in BPJS Kesehatan requires the worker approval. Industrial disputes can be resolved through bipartite mechanism, non-litigation and litigation. Artikel ini membahas tentang perlindungan hak pekerja Askes pasca pembubaran PT Askes (Persero) tanpa likuidasi dimana pekerja Askes beralih menjadi Pekerja BPJS Kesehatan. Penelitian ini bersifat yuridis normatif yang menggunakan data sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlindungan hak-hak pekerja Askes pasca pembubaran PT Askes (Persero) berdasarkan UU No. 13 Tahun 2003 dan Perjanjian Kerja antara Pekerja dengan PT Askes (Persero) dimana perubahan hak-hak pekerja memerlukan persetujuan dari Pekerja. Perselisihan hubungan industrial dapat timbul akibat pembubaran PT Askes (Persero) dapat diselesaikan melalui mekanisme bipartit, non litigasi maupun litigasi.

Resumo:

För att minska mängden fel och öka pålitligheten i ett IT-system är testning något som bör utföras. IT-företaget Askås I&R använder sig i dagsläget av stora mängder manuella tester. För att effektivisera testprocessen ska automatiserade tester införas. Fokus i denna studie ligger på att undersöka om programspråk bör väljas för att passa testverktyg eller om testerna bör anpassas efter programspråket som används frekvent på företaget, samt hur mycket arbetstid företag kan tjäna på att automatisera sina testfall. En översiktlig undersökning gjordes för att undersöka vilket verktyg som är bäst lämpat för Askås I&R baserat. För att utvärdera vilket programspråk som är relevant för företaget användes en enkätundersökning bland företagets testare samt en öppen intervju med en systemarkitekt på företaget. Fem av företagets arton testprotokoll automatiserades. Tidsåtgången för de manuella och de automatiserade testprotokollen jämfördes och analyserades. Utfallet tyder på att det finns mycket tid att spara på automatisering. I uppsatsens slutsatser framhålls att automatisering av testfall bör prioriteras efter vissa kriterier vid utvecklingen av nya systemversioner.

Resumo:

Med ett ökat antal API:er på internet ökar även behovet av anvisningar kring dessa. När användarna för API:er har olika nivåer av erfarenhet blir den nödvändiga dokumentationen och instruktionerna svårare att precisera från en utvecklares perspektiv. I detta projekt är målet att fastställa vad som utgör en bra dokumentation för ett API och tillämpa det för ett existerande API på begäran av Askås. Det befintliga materialet analyserades för att bygga en bättre förståelse för vilka API-anrop som stöttades, och skulle byggas om på ett sådant sätt att det skulle vara enkelt att implementera i Askås nya dokumentationssida. För att få klarhet kring vad som utgör bra API-dokumentation undersöktes fältstudier. Givet detta kunde arbetet utföras enligt etablerade studier tillsammans med kontinuerlig feedback från uppdragsgivaren. Resultatet är ett verktyg som kan användas för att göra API-anrop där parametrarna är förklarade på ett dynamiskt sätt som är byggt i React, uttryckt i Docusaurus, i väntan på att bli sammansatt i Askås nya dokumentationssida.
As the number of APIs on the internet increases, so does the need for guidance on how to use these. In APIs where the users have varying experience, the necessary documentation and instructions needed becomes harder to pinpoint from a developer's point of view. In this project, the objective is to conclude what constitutes a good documentation for an API and apply it to an existing API, as requested from Askås. The pre-existing material was analysed to build an understanding for which API calls were supported, and was to be re-built in such a way that it would be easily implemented in Askås' new API documentation site. To bring clarity to what constitutes good API documentation, field studies were examined. With this, the project could be executed according to the examined studies, as well as feedback from the client. The result is a tool that can be used to make API calls where the parametres are explained in a dynamic fashion - developed in React, expressed in Docusaurus, waiting to be merged into Askås new documentation site.

Resumo: Nesta tese abordamos a temática da sexualidade no envelhecimento. Diante da escassez de material bibliográfico em nossa cultura e da ausência de uma escala para avaliação dessa temática no Brasil, nossa proposta foi realizar a adaptação cultural de uma escala norteamericana (ASKAS -Aging sexual knowledge and attitudes scale), que avalia o conhecimento e atitude das pessoas em relação à sexualidade do idoso. A adaptação cultural de uma medida de saúde, a fim de ser utilizada em um país diferente, para o qual ela foi criada, requer uma metodologia específica a fim de que essa escala ou medida seja válida em um país diferente do qual ela foi validada originalmente. Não basta realizar um trabalho de tradução, mas ela deve ser adaptada culturalmente para que mantenha sua confiabilidade e validade nessa nova língua e nova população. Para realizar a adaptação cultural da escala acima citada, foram utilizadas as ¿Recomendações para Adaptação Cultural de Medidas de Estados de Saúde¿, da Academia Americana de Cirurgiões Ortopédicos (AAOS ¿ American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons) e Instituto para Trabalho e Saúde de Toronto. Será descrito nesse trabalho essas diretrizes e como elas foram aplicadas para esta adaptação cultural, sabendo que essas informações poderão ser úteis para futuras pesquisas nessa área. A primeira parte da pesquisa foi composta de 5 estágios. Fizemos duas traduções da escala, a síntese dessas traduções, duas retro traduções, reunião do comitê de especialistas para análise da síntese das traduções e o pré-teste, quando entrevistamos 43 sujeitos, entre idosos, parentes de idosos e funcionários de casas de repouso. A validade de conteúdo foi obtida pela análise do comitê de especialistas e fizemos uma análise qualitativa do pré-teste. Na segunda etapa foi feita a coleta de dados quantitativa, com 802 sujeitos. A confiabilidade da escala foi testada através do Alpha de Cronbach e da Confiabilidade Composta e a validade de construto através da análise fatorial confirmatória utilizando o método estatístico de modelagem de equações estruturais via Partial Least Squares (PLS) com o software Smart PLS software versão 2.0M3. Nossos resultados apontaram que a escala validada é confiável para ser usada no Brasil. No ajuste do modelo retiramos algumas questões que apresentaram baixa carga fatorial ao seu construto. Espera-se que essa pesquisa venha facilitar futuros estudos sobre sexualidade no envelhecimento, ampliando assim o conhecimento produzido no Brasil sobre essa temática. Abstract: Key-terms: Elderly, Ageing, Sexuality, Translation and interpretation, Validation, Factorial Analysis. On this dissertation, we talk about the theme sexuality in the aging process. Due to the lack of bibliographic material in our culture and to the absence of a scale for evaluation of this theme in Brazil, our proposal was to do a cultural adaptation of a North-American scale (ASKAS ¿ Aging sexual knowledge and attitudes scale), which evaluates people¿s knowledge and attitude regarding elderly sexuality. The cultural adaptation of a health measure needs to be validated through a specific methodology before it can be valid, and therefore utilized, in a country other than the one for which that was created. The scale translation is not enough; instead, it should be culturally adapted in order to keep its reability and validation in a different language and different population. In order to make the cultural adaptation of the scale mentioned above, we utilized the Recommendations for Cultural Adaptation of Health Condition Measures from the AAOS - Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons ¿ and the Institute for Work & Health of Toronto, Canada. In this work, those directions will be described, as well as how they were applied for that cultural adaptation, knowing that that information will be able to help future researches in that area. The first part of the research was composed of 5 stages: two translations of the scale; synthesis of those translations; two back-translations; a meeting with the specialists committee for the analysis of the summary of the translations; and a pre-test, where we interviewed 43 people, among elderly, relatives of elderly and employees of nursing homes. The validity of the content was obtained through the analysis done by the specialists committee. Additionally, we conducted a quantitative analysis of the pre-test. In the second stage, we made a quantitative collection of data among 802 people. The reability of the scale was tested through Cronbach¿s Alpha and Composite Reability. The validity of the content was tested through confirmatory factorial analysis utilizing the modeling statistic method of structural equations via Partial Least Squares (PLS) under the version 2.0M3 of the Smart PLS software. Our results showed that the validated scale is reliable to be utilized in Brazil. On the adjustment of the model, we excluded a few questions that presented low factorial load in their construct. We expect that this research to contribute to future studies about sexuality in the aging process, broadening the knowledge produced in Brazil on that thematic

Resumo:

This thesis examines Epictetus' view on Cynic philosophy, as it is being expressed in chapter 22 of the third book of Diatribai ("The Discourses"). The chapter has traditionally been seen as an idealized and deceitful portrait of the Cynic, and has been questioned as an intended justification of stoics and Cynics in the overall view on the history of philosophy. This thesis, however, attempts a different approach on the matter, based upon a thorough discussion regarding the field of research, as well as on different ways to read and understand the text at hand, in order to seek out a view that goes beyond the traditional distinction between practice and theory. The thesis thus challenges the view where the philosophy of Epictetus is seen as an instrumental practice of stoic theory, isolated to the field of ethics. The reading of the chapter focuses mainly on the philosophical purpose of the text and its intended practice, and finds that much of the stoic ascetic practice is not only taught through instructions, but also performed in the lecture and Epictetus' way of speaking. Epictetus' portrait of the philosophical Cynic is thus understood, not only as an extreme end that serves as an ascetic role-model, but also as a basic archetype of what it actually means to practice a philosophical way of thinking, that is of central importance to Epictetus philosophy. This sheds a new light on both the traditional distinction between stoic theory and practice, and on much of the research performed on the field of stoicism this far, as well as on that of Cynicism.

Undersökningens syfte är att studera dialektutjämning och regionalisering i övre Norrland genom att undersöka fyra markerade dialektala drag – norrländsk förmjukning, oböjd predikativ i pluralis, norrländskt som och he/hä ’det’ – utifrån de utomspråkliga variablerna geografi, ålder och kön. Undersökningen har genomförts genom att lyssna på intervjuer av fyra informanter per ort från följande fem orter: Piteå i Norrbotten, Burträsk i Västerbotten, Sorsele i Lappland, Aspås i Jämtland och Anundsjö i Ångermanland. Materialet är inspelat för projektet SweDia 2000. Studien visar att norrländsk förmjukning finns på alla orter men används i huvudsak av äldre. I inlandet (Aspås och Sorsele) har man kategoriskt dialektvarianten medan man vid kusten växlar i sitt bruk. Oböjd predikativ i pluralis är vanligt på alla orter och står starkt emot eventuell utjämning. Norrländskt som används på alla orter och i högre grad av yngre än äldre, de yngre har även mer frekvent bruk. He/hä ’det’ finns hos nästan alla informanter på de nordligare orterna, däremot inte alls i Aspås och Anundsjö. Draget är starkt men används mer frekvent av de äldre. Dialektutjämning och regionalisering av dialekter sker i övre Norrland och olika drag klarar sig olika bra; norrländsk förmjukning ligger i riskzonen för att försvinna medan de övriga dragen står starka.

College students demonstrate a persistent lack of knowledge about safe sexual practices and engage in sexual behavior that puts them at risk for preventable health issues, specifically, sexually transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancy. Fortunately, physicians have an opportunity to provide accurate and timely information about safe sexual behavior to individuals in their care. However, many young people, and in particular young women, are reticent to talk to their physicians about sexual behavior because they typically consider the information to be private. They draw thick privacy boundaries around this information, leading to a missed opportunity to communicate about sexual behavior with their healthcare provider. Exacerbating this issue is the fact that many physicians are also uncomfortable discussing sexual topics with their patients. In this dissertation, Communication Privacy Management (CPM) theory is used to investigate the criteria that female college students employ to negotiate the disclosure and concealment of information about sexual behavior to physicians. Qualitative analysis of open-ended interviews with female college students were used to describe and explain the way college students perceive issues concerning disclosure of sexual behaviors to their physician. These findings have the potential to improve communication interventions both for female college students and healthcare professionals.

Resumo:

Common knowledge, as is well known, is not attainable in finite time by unreliable communication, thus hindering perfect coordination. Focusing on the coordinated attack problem modeled using dynamic epistemic logic, this paper discusses unreliable communication protocols from a topological perspective and asks "If the generals may communicate indefinitely, will they then *converge* to a state of common knowledge?" We answer by making precise and showing the following: *common knowledge is attainable if, and only if, we do not care about common knowledge*.

Resumo:

Religious identity is critically important to consider in assessing patterns of displacement and the dynamics of conflict and peace-building, as well as programmatic and policy responses to humanitarian crises. Conflicts are frequently driven by discrimination and generate massive numbers of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) as they flee from persecution and violence, whilst individuals or groups may be targeted for their identity or face insecurity during community activities. As a result, the relationship between diversity, inclusivity, and interdependence is key to developing approaches that address intersecting forms of insecurity experienced by religious minorities. This paper reviews current thinking and policy directions in understanding religious inequalities in humanitarian contexts and asks the following questions: 1) What are the implications of programming that is blind to religious inequalities? 2) How can humanitarian actors incorporate sensitivity to religious difference and persecution in their programming, and what are the challenges of doing so?

Resumo:

This qualitative study was undertaken as part of the work of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) funded Inclusion Works programme which aims to improve inclusive employment for people with disabilities in four countries: Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, Bangladesh. When the COVID-19 pandemic emerged early in 2020 the work of this consortium programme was adapted to focus on pandemic relief and research activities, while some other planned work was not possible. The Institute of Development Studies (IDS) led a piece of qualitative research to explore the experiences and perceptions of the pandemic and related lockdowns in each country, using a narrative interview approach, which asks people to tell their stories, following up with some further questions once they have identified their priorities to talk about. 10 people with disabilities who were involved in Inclusion Works in each country were purposively selected to take part, each being invited to have two interviews with an interval of one or two months in between, in order to capture changes in their situation over time. The 10 interviewees had a range of impairments, were gender balanced and were various ages, as well as having differing living and working situations.

Resumo:

The Clackamas River in Oregon is a drinking water source for upwards of 300,000 people living in the Portland metro region. This river experiences seasonal low flow during the annual dry season throughout summer and early fall when endangered salmon species return to the river to spawn. This dry season also coincides with the highest period of urban water use. Since precipitation is minimal at this time, water users choose to water their lawns to make up for the lack of rain which contributes to water use tripling during the driest part of the year. To promote local water conservation, the Clackamas River Water Providers (CRWP)—who manage source water protection and public outreach and education around watershed issues, drinking water, and water conservation for the eight water providers on the river—have created a water conservation campaign that they intend to promote each dry season for the next several years. First promoted during the dry season of 2019, the messaging focuses on the flow needs of endangered salmon and asks water users to cease outdoor watering altogether. Through focus group discussion and a survey of water users, this research investigates public perception and opinion of the CRWP’s summer water conservation messaging campaign with the goal of improving the effectiveness of the messaging in future dry seasons.
