Abstract Factors associate with borderline or invaded margins in breast cancer surgery at the Val d’Aurelle Montpellier CRLC Véronique Mboua Batoum*, Esther Dina Bell, Christianne Nsahlai, Junie Annick Metogo Ntsama, Esther Juliette Meka, Marian Gutowski, Simon Thezenas, William Jacot *Corresponding autor : vbatoum@gmail.com Introduction: The inadequate status of the resection margins after breast cancer surgery is an important predictor of local tumor recurrence. The objective of our study was to determine the factors associated with positive or invaded resection margins. Methodology: Our retrospective study included a cohort of 652 patients with early invasive breast cancer who underwent breast cancer conserving surgery at the Val d’Aurelle Regional Cancer Center. We defined positive margins as those with a distance of less than or equal to 2 mm from the tumour. The data were analysed using STATA® 10.0 software. Results: In our study, The median distance from the tumour to the surgical resection site was 5mm [0.0 - 35.0mm]. Resection margins were positive in 208 patients (31.9%). The rate of positive resection margins was significantly higher in non-menopausal patientss (P =0,0050), in those with tumours less than 2 cm in size (P = 0,0004), with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) component and without lymph node involvement (P =0,0082). Re-excision surgery was performed in 229 patients (35.1%). Conclusion: Consideration of each of these factors associated with positive resection margins shoud help the surgeons to perform a wider excision, in other to obtain clear resection margin during the initial breast cancer surgery. Resumo:

Ao longo dos últimos anos, as fórmulas cosméticas têm evoluído consideravelmente, tornando os produtos para maquiagem excelentes coadjuvantes para tratar e proteger a pele e seus anexos. Sabe-se que o uso de fotoprotetores de amplo espectro de absorção ultravioleta é essencial na prevenção de neoplasias cutâneas, principalmente de áreas que sofrem exposição diária ao sol, incluindo os lábios. Desta forma, este trabalho tem como objetivo o desenvolvimento de uma formulação de batom de diferentes cores (marrom, vermelho, rosa e roxo), com propriedades que visam não só promover emoliência, hidratação e coloração aos lábios, mas também oferecer proteção contra os raios ultravioletas (UV). Os resultados obtidos indicam que os valores de FPS (Fator de Proteção Solar) das amostras de batons permaneceram na categoria de alta proteção, com capacidade de manter a retenção de água na pele, fácil espalhamento sobre o lábio, dureza condizente com o tipo de produto e baixa possibilidade de deterioração oxidativa. Desta forma, os batons desenvolvidos apresentam características comerciais desejáveis de hidratação, coloração e emoliência, além de alta fotoproteção, podendo atuar na prevenção de câncer labial.

O estudo abordado teve como tema a formulação de batom vegano, proporcionando análises macroscópicas e organolépticas do produto desenvolvido e suas etapas, utilizando os sentidos olfativo, tátil e visual como critérios de qualidade. Logo, o objetivo geral deste trabalho foi analisar como é feito um batom, a partir da utilização de matérias-primas veganas. Trata-se de uma pesquisa experimental, que buscou utilizar componentes que não foram testados em animais do reino metazoa, ou seja, procurou-se por alternativas que não envolvessem o uso de animais. Durante as etapas de criação, foi necessário realizar extrações de compostos naturais, como hibisco e farinha de uva, para as quais foram utilizados solventes como álcool etílico 98,2% e acetona. Os resultados permitiram compreender que o etanol é um composto adequado para obtenção de extratos, pois não provoca grandes alterações de cor, ao contrário da combinação de propanona e farinha de uva, que resultou em uma solução ácida com alterações físico-químicas, principalmente na coloração. Portanto, conclui-se que o trabalho realizado proporcionou o entendimento sobre o comportamento e a atuação de alguns solventes durante os processos de extração. Além disso, contribuiu para o conhecimento de alternativas mais sustentáveis na formulação de cosméticos, especialmente batons veganos, e para a análise sensorial e macroscópica desses produtos.

Resumo:

The article is devoted to the analysis of the meanings laid down in “Batum”, the last play by M.A. Bulgakov. The author reviews the sources which the playwright relied on when writing his play, and the need to strictly follow their letter and spirit, which put the writer in an extremely tough political framework. The article argues that the play axis is the contrast between the images of Stalin and Nicholas II. In the meantime, the last Russian Tsar is depicted in a caricature way not corresponding to historical truth. The author of the article notes that in the image of the last Russian Tsar the playwright followed the Soviet dramaturgy tradition. It is also emphasized that a negative, caricatured depicting of Nicholas II image inevitably entailed a blasphemous attitude towards the great Russian St. Seraphim of Sarov referred to in the play. The work shows that the image of Stalin contains unambigious hints on paraphrase of gospel plots which is essentially sacriledge. The play “Batum” is considered in the article as a quite predictable failure in literature legacy of M.A. Bulgakov.

Este trabalho avaliou a qualidade de sombras e batons novos, usados, vencidos e válidos, doados por consumidores e adquiridos no Brasil. Testes microbiológicos foram realizados para avaliar a presença dos microrganismos patógenos Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus e Escherichia coli e a contagem de mesófilos aeróbios totais. Para quantificar o chumbo, as amostras foram submetidas à digestão ácida. Após o preparo, as amostras foram analisadas em condições otimizadas e validadas por GF AAS. Os planejamentos experimentais empregados para otimização do método foram: Planejamento Fatorial Completo 2³ e CCD. Das 25 amostras analisadas, 18 (75%) podem ser consideradas reprovadas segundo os limites microbianos estabelecidos pela legislação sanitária brasileira. Dentre as amostras de sombras reprovadas, todas eram usadas, quatro estavam com prazos de validade expirados, três não apresentavam validade na embalagem primária; dentre os batons reprovados que eram usados, cinco estavam com prazos de validade expirados, quatro não apresentavam validade na embalagem primária e um era válido; um batom reprovado era novo e válido. Nossos dados mostram a importância do consumidor utilizar e armazenar os produtos em condições adequadas, para evitar a contaminação microbiana. As concentrações de chumbo obtidas nos batons variaram de 0,45 ± 0,08 mg kg-1 a 6,8 ± 0,2 mg kg-1, e nas sombras de <LOD a 6,2 ± 0,4 mg kg-1, sendo que todas abaixo do nível máximo para Pb. Observou-se que, em geral, as amostras de sombras apresentaram maiores concentrações de chumbo do que os batons e que os produtos de uso infantil apresentaram menor concentração desse metal. Abstract This work evaluated the quality of new, used, expired and valid samples of eye shadows and lipsticks donated by consumers and purchased in Brazil. Microbiological tests were performed to evaluate the presence of the pathogenic microorganisms Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli and the counts of total aerobic mesophilic microorganisms. In order to quantify lead, samples were submitted to the acid digestion in a block digester. The samples were analyzed under optimized and validated conditions by GF AAS. A 23 Factorial Design and CCD were employed to method optimization. Considering the 25 analyzed samples, 75% can be considered reproved according to the microbial limits established by Brazilian sanitary law. Among reproved eye shadows, all were used, 4 were out of their expiry dates and 3 were had no expiry date indicated on their primary packaging. Among reproved lipsticks that were used, 5 were out of their expiry dates, 4 had no expiry date indicated on their primary packaging and 1 was not expired; one of the reproved lipsticks was new and non-expired. Our data show the importance of using and storing this type of products under appropriate conditions. Lead concentrations found in lipsticks varied from 0.45 ± 0.08 mg kg-1 to 6.8 ± 0.2 mg kg-1, and in eye shadows from <LOD to 6.2 ± 0.4 mg kg-1, being all samples below to the maximum level. In general, eye shadows samples presented higher lead concentrations than to lipsticks and that child use products presented less concentration of this metal. Keywords: Lipsticks. Eye Shadows. Lead. Todos estes eventos estavam comportados dentro do Centro de Convenções Hangar em Belém do Pará, e ali na área aberta da feira, Sophia propôs a ação Fia Sophia. O vídeo é o registro etnográfico da ação imersiva de Sophia no evento a partir do jogo de improviso, em que a drag dá o batom para as pessoas escreverem no corpo da gata palavras-ações agressivas que já recebemos devido termos nossos corpos fora do padrão intolerante heteronormativo, branco, rico e patriarcal. Uma mulher, no evento Belém +30 pintou meu olho com o batom vermelho, e enquanto aquela mulher forte, de aparência de guerreira bruxa, me pintava ao mesmo tempo ela desabava sobre mim, lacrimejava e dizia baixinho: “foi um soco no olho...”. Eu também chorava dentro de mim, lembrava que na noite anterior, eu mesma, tinha sofrido agressão na rua, quando levaram minha bolsa com materiais de trabalho e me deixaram um soco no olho. A dor naquele momento, enquanto ela pintava meu olho, era mais do que real, imagens me vieram a cabeça, lembranças de agressões que tantas amigas mulheres e bichas e travestis já sofreram; suei frio, gaguejei, engoli o desespero e me fortaleci na troca afetiva espontânea, na troca de olhares, no abraço, e nas forças de tantas palavras escritas e ouvidas que me dão coragem para prosseguir com ações e práticas artísticas de resistência.Assista aqui.

This paper analyzes some pantun batobo using structural theory of semiotics. Pantun batobo is rhyme sung by the members of tobo when conducting batobo (mutual cooperation working the fields). Pantun batobo as objects in this article was obtained from the sources (tobo actors) in Taratak Village, Rumbio Jaya District, Kampar Regency. A hundred pantun collected, only four pantun were analyzed that writer categorized into humble themed. The results of the analysis shows that pantun humble themed is structurally semiotic. Pantun Batobo is a text that is rich both in structure (shape) and semiotics (the use of signs). Pantun batobo is not only attract the level of form, but also interesting in terms of content and meaning, so there is a balance between form and content. In structure, pantun batobo have certain patterns, such as rhyme and the number of words and syllables are in lines of poem, while in semiotics, pantun batobo has layers of meaning.AbstrakTulisan ini menganalisis beberapa pantun batobo dengan menggunakan teori struktural semiotik. Pantun batobo adalah pantun yang didendangkan oleh para anggota tobo ketika melakukan kegiatan batobo (bergotong royong di ladang mengerjakan sawah). Pantun batobo sebagai objek dalam tulisan ini diperoleh dari para narasumber (para pelaku tobo) di Desa Taratak, Kecamatan Rumbio Jaya, Kabupaten Kampar. Dari seratus pantun yang dikumpulkan, hanya dianalisis empat pantun yang penulis golongkan ke dalam pantun bertema merendah diri. Adapun hasil dari analisis pantun bertema merendah diri secara struktural semiotik yaitu pantun batobo merupakan sebuah teks yang kaya baik secara struktur (bentuk) dan semiotik (penggunaan tanda-tanda). Pantun batobo bukan hanya menarik dalam tataran bentuk, tetapi juga menarik dalam hal isi dan makna, sehingga terdapat keseimbangan antara bentuk dan isi. Secara struktur, pantun batobo memiliki pola tertentu, seperti rima serta jumlah kata dan suku kata yang terdapat pada baris pantun, sedangkan secara semiotik, pantun batobo memiliki lapis-lapis makna.

Resumo:

With the upsurge of marine research coming, research of the bionic fish robot is imperative. In numerous kinds of fish, batoid as the representative of the undulating pectoral fins fish are characterized by maneuverability which adapted to the complex underwater environment. This paper establishes entity model, kinematics model and dynamic model of batoid, uses means of numerical simulation to realize batoid turning in the water , and then plans turning motion of batoid. For this simulation, trajectory which is very close to the turning of real batoid is obtained to prove our modeling and simulation correct.

This study examines Pantun Batobo, Kampar oral literature using ecocritical and semiotic theories. Pantun Batobo is a poem sung by batobo actors (mutual cooperation in farming) in the cultural areas of Kampar, Kuantan Singgigi, and Inderagiri. This pantun is intended as a remedy for fatigue because batobo actors work from morning to evening. This pantun can be classified into the cultural products of an agrarian society. To study the pantun, ecocritical and semiotic theories are used. Methods used interview techniques and literature while for data analysis used descriptive analysis methods. The results of this study are found the concept of harmony between humans and nature in the Pantun Batobo.

Objetivou-se otimizar a micropropagação das cultivares 'Heritage' e 'Batum' de framboeseira, ajustando-se a concentração de ferro do meio de cultura. Os tratamentos, avaliados durante a fase de multiplicação dos explantes, consistiram em modificações do meio MS quanto à concentração de ferro (0, 25, 50 e 75mg L-1 de FeSO4.7H2O). Foram realizados três subcultivos de 45 dias, sob condições ambientais de 25±4°C, 20µE m-2 s-1 e fotoperíodo de 16 horas. Utilizou-se delineamento experimental inteiramente casualizado, em um bifatorial (duas cultivares x quatro doses de FeSO4.7H2O), com quatro repetições, sendo as unidades experimentais constituídas por um frasco contendo cinco explantes de 8-10mm com três a quatro gemas. Independentemente da concentração de ferro do meio de cultura, a 'Heritage' apresentou maior número médio de brotos por explante (6,9), proporcionando a produção de 501,1 plantas em três subcultivos, enquanto que a 'Batum' apresentou número de brotos de 6,0 e produção de 306,3 plantas. A concentração ideal de FeSO4.7H2O no meio de cultura para multiplicação in vitro dos explantes foi de 43,4mg L-1, para a 'Heritage', e de 43,1mg L-1, para a 'Batum'.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan struktur, penggunaan instrumen dan peranan musik Batong sebagai iringan Langka Lipu di desa Pososlalongo, Kecamatan Banggai Tengah, Kabupaten Banggai Laut. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, di mana data dalam penelitian berasal dari studi pustaka, observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi (pencatatan, pengambilan foto, perekaman audio dan video). Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan pendekatan musikologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa musik Batong, sebagai genre dalam bentuk ansambel musik tradisional suku Banggai, terdiri dari Gong Besar, Gong Sedang, Tutuung, dan Bobolon yang berfungsi untuk mengiring Langka Lipu yang menggunakan ritme Kanjar dengan tempo yang cepat. Musik Batong sebagai musik iringan pada Langka Lipu merupakan salah satu alat musik tradisional suku Banggai yang menjadi kebanggaan masyarakat setempat khususnya masyarakat yang ada di desa Pososlalongo. Musik Batong memiliki peran yang sangat penting pada Langka Lipu, karena musik Batong dapat menamba energi kepada setiap pesilat Langka Lipu. Bukan hanya sebagai penamba energi, tetapi musik Batong juga berperan sebagai sarana informasi bagi masyarakat agar mengetahuai bahwa sedang dilaksanakan pertunjukan Langka Lipu.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan mendeskripsikan fungsi musik Batong dalam Tari Balatindak di Desa Bangunemo. Penelitian ini disusun dengan menggunakan kerangka penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakaukan melalui teknik observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah tokoh-tokoh seni di desa Bangunemo. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa musik Batong memiliki fungsi yang sangat penting dalam tari Balatindak, yaitu sebagai pengiring, pemberi irama, pemberi gambaran suasana, mempertegas ekspresi gerak, pengatur tempo, rangsangan bagi penari. Musik Batong juga memiliki fungsi penghubung dengan dengan arwah-arwah leluhur. Lebih lanjut, musik Batong juga memiliki fungsi tersendiri pada setiap gerakan tari Balatindak, yang di dalamnya ada gerakan Basomba, Kuntau dan Batabas. Selain itu musik Batong juga memiliki fungsi sebagai sarana yang mempererat persaudaraan di antar masyarakat melalui kesenian.

ABSTRACTA bat virus with high phylogenetic relatedness to human mumps virus (MuV) was identified recently at the nucleic acid level. We analyzed the functional activities of the hemagglutinin-neuraminidase (HN) and the fusion (F) proteins of the bat virus (batMuV) and compared them to the respective proteins of a human isolate. Transfected cells expressing the F and HN proteins of batMuV were recognized by antibodies directed against these proteins of human MuV, indicating that both viruses are serologically related. Fusion, hemadsorption, and neuraminidase activities were demonstrated for batMuV, and either bat-derived protein could substitute for its human MuV counterpart in inducing syncytium formation when coexpressed in different mammalian cell lines, including chiropteran cells. Cells expressing batMuV glycoproteins were shown to have lower neuraminidase activity. The syncytia were smaller, and they were present in lower numbers than those observed after coexpression of the corresponding glycoproteins of a clinical isolate of MuV (hMuV). The phenotypic differences in the neuraminidase and fusion activity between the glycoproteins of batMuV and hMuV are explained by differences in the expression level of the HN and F proteins of the two viruses. In the case of the F protein, analysis of chimeric proteins revealed that the signal peptide of the bat MuV fusion protein is responsible for the lower surface expression. These results indicate that the surface glycoproteins of batMuV are serologically and functionally related to those of hMuV, raising the possibility of bats as a reservoir for interspecies transmission.IMPORTANCEThe recently described MuV-like bat virus is unique among other recently identified human-like bat-associated viruses because of its high sequence homology (approximately 90% in most genes) to its human counterpart. Although it is not known if humans can be infected by batMuV, the antigenic relatedness between the bat and human forms of the virus suggests that humans carrying neutralizing antibodies against MuV are protected from infection by batMuV. The close functional relationship between MuV and batMuV is demonstrated by cooperation of the respective HN and F proteins to induce syncytium formation in heterologous expression studies. An interesting feature of the glycoproteins of batMuV is the downregulation of the fusion activity by the signal peptide of F, which has not been reported for other paramyxoviruses. These results are important contributions for risk assessment and for a better understanding of the replication strategy of batMuV.

Pantun Batobo is a type of pantun in the Kampar area, Riau Province. This pantun is hummed when doing batobo activities. Batobo is a mutual cooperation activity in working on the fields, starting from the process of planting to harvesting. This study examines the pantun batobo by focusing on two aspects, namely the treasures of local plants found in the pantun and the function of the pantun. Data collection methods used are interview methods and recording techniques. The data analysis method uses descriptive analysis method. The theory used is Alan Dundes' Function Theory and Ecocritical Theory. The results obtained from this study are that from an eco-critic perspective, the batobo pantun is rich in knowledge of local plant treasures stored in the rhyme sampirans. This shows the close kinship between the people who own the pantun and the nature around it. In terms of function, this pantun has a function as a fun escape from reality and turns boring work into a game. The pantun batobo is not only a pantun muda-mudi filled with feelings, but it contains the perspective of the people who own the pantun about macrocosm and microcosm.

Batoids propel themselves forward by generating waves along their large pectoral fins. According to the observation of batoids in nature, the frequency of the wave on the pectoral fins is not always invariable. The bionic batoid is composed of rigid body and flexible pectoral fins of uniform thickness. In this study the hydrodynamic analysis of bionic batoid with combined frequency specified on the pectoral fins are presented. The combined frequency is implemented by the frequency conversion during the oscillation of each pectoral fin ray. Since oscillating frequency of 2.2Hz is mostly observed in rajiform batoid, the variable frequencies ranging from 1.0Hz to 2.6Hz with 0.4Hz increment compound 2.2Hz and formed five different sets of combined frequency. The simulation results illustrate that the bionic batoid model with combined frequency locomotion can achieve better propulsive efficiency, which maybe benefit for the motion design of bionic robot batoid.

Learning models appearing in the classroom are psychologically far from students’ daily lives, despite the fact that there are numerous traditions available to students that might form the basis for the development of a learning model. This study was intended to produce a model of Project Based Learning (PBL) based on Batobo. The Batobo tradition performed by Kuantan Singingi people in Riau is a tradition of working together on an agricultural land. This study used research and development (R&D) proposed by Borg and Gall stages to develop the tradition based learning model. The data collection technique started from conducting a literature review, interviewing groups or community leaders and designing models. The results of the research revealed that Batobo based Project Based Learning model was conducted in five stages in learning included the initiation (manyamulo), followed by project planning (mancangkul/manugal), project implementation (mananam), discussion (manuai) and the last stage was evaluation (closing). The Batobo based Project Based Learning model described the learning activities carried out by referring to the Batobo tradition. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the PBL model based on the batobo tradition which consists of five stages of learning developed is suitable for use in elementary schools.

Sınır aşan bir akarsu olan Çoruh Nehri XIX. yüzyıldan günümüze uzanan süreçte büyük antropojenik müdahaleler ile karşı karşıya kalmıştır. Antropojen faaliyetler nedeniyle artan baskı delta kıyı çizgisinde değişime neden olmuş ve olmaya devam etmektedir. Baskı sadece morfolojiyi değiştirmemekte, ayı zamanda bölgedeki şehirleşmenin gelişim sürecinde de dikkate alınması gereken bir unsur olma özelliği taşır. Karadeniz’in güney doğusundaki önemli turizm merkezi olan Batum şehri, Çoruh Deltası üzerinde yer alır. Delta kıyısı boyunca gelişim gösteren Batum, kıyı erozyonundan doğrudan etkilenmektedir. Bu bağlamda şehre ait farklı fonksiyonlara sahip alanlar kıyı çizgisi değişiminin baskısı ile karşı karşıyadır. Bu çalışmada, Çoruh Deltası kıyı erozyonunun Uzaktan Algılama ve Coğrafi Bilgi Sistemleri yardımıyla belirlenerek aşınım ve birikim hızlarının (m/yıl) hesaplanması ve analiz edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu sayede şehrin karşı karşıya olduğu risk net bir şekilde olarak ortaya çıkacaktır. Çalışmada 1984, 2000 ve 2020 yıllarına ait Landsat uydu görüntüleri kullanılmıştır. Uydu görüntülerinden itibaren NDWI (Normalized Difference Water Index) kullanılarak kıyı çizgileri üretilmiştir. Kıyı çizgisindeki değişim DSAS (Digital Shoreline Analysis System) kullanılarak araştırılmıştır. Çalışma sahasının I. grup olarak sınıflandırılan kesiminde aşınımın egemen olduğu ve aşınım hızının 2,37 m/yıl olduğu tespit edilmiştir. II. grup olarak sınıflandırılan kesiminde ise kıyı çizgisi ilerlemesi ve gerilemesinin bir arada gerçekleştiği belirlenmiştir. II. grupta aşınım hızının en yüksek 2,90 m/yıl, birikim hızının ise en yüksek 2,41 m/yıl olarak gerçekleştiği hesaplanmıştır. Çalışma bulguları özellikle Gonio plajının yer aldığı bölge ile Batum Uluslararası Havalimanı’nın kıyı erozyonuna bağlı olarak deniz ilerlemesi sorunuyla karşı karşıya olduğu savını desteklemektedir.

The 2019 Hong Kong protests witnessed not only sustained physical demonstrations by locals, but also a swell of online digital media that recorded and remixed conflicts between protestors and police. By documenting key moving images that circulated throughout social media and the film festival circuit, White’s essay reorients Hong Kong film studies’ relationship with the digital. Although cinema played a secondary role in the 2019 protests compared to digital media, numerous intertextual linkages demonstrate the productive potential of considering the two together. Special attention is given to the cops-and-robbers genre, a linchpin in local film history and a frequent form of choice for Hong Kong-mainland China coproductions. While the troubled representation of police in 2019 and beyond suggests that the future of the genre is unstable, the ingenuity of recent digital media demonstrates Hong Kong’s enduring potential for moving image innovation.

This paper presents a numerical study of three dimensional flows around a self-propelled batoid with asymmetrically undulating pectoral fins. During the dynamic simulation, the difference of phase angle of the asymmetric motion is set to 180° between left pectoral fin and right pectoral fin. To evaluate the swimming performance of batoid with asymmetric undulating fins, kinematic and dynamic parameters have been used comparing with that of batoid with symmetric undulating fins. The simulation results show that asymmetric motion can achieve better starting and accelerating performance than symmetric motion.

<p><em>Previous researchers on the use of Batonu personal names argue that there are different categories of Batonu names and using thirty (30) respondents, the researchers submit that the use of Muslim names has replaced the use of Batonu native names in all domains. However, the present study, using three hundred (300) respondents, visited the study area and identifies names that are used as personal names among the Batonu people. It also examines the social use of the names in formal and informal domains. The research adopted the theory of Domains of language use by Ferguson (1966). Questionnaires and interviews were used to collect data on the various uses of personal names in intra and inter group interactions. There were three findings. Some showed names that were drawn from Islam and Christianity. Some names were also drawn from Batonu native names. Two domains of name usage have been identified. The informal domains consisted of home/community, peer-group and play ground. The formal ones comprised school, places of worship, certificates, wedding cards, almanacs and work places. It is evident that the Batonu native names are still frequently used with foreign or Christian and Muslim names in formal and in informal domains although with different degrees of use. This present study has shown that although a foreign culture may have an overwhelming influence over an indigenous culture, it does not mean that the indigenous culture will not thrive especially if the indigenous culture has traditional activities that can help sustain it.</em></p>

Information on the relationship between batoid demersal assemblages and environmental factors is scarce. We captured a total of 23414 batoids belonging to 16 species with bottom trawls at 243 sampling stations in the Gulf of Tehuantepec, Mexico. The species Urotrygon rogersi, Urotrygon chilensis and Narcine vermiculatus represented 70.1% of the abundance and 46.3% of the biomass. Five batoid assemblages were identified using hierarchical cluster and similarity profile analyses. Four assemblages were located at depths less than 40m and one assemblage was located at depths between 40 and 62m. The main batoid group was located in front of the most important lagoon complexes. The abundance biomass comparison method indicated that small species were dominant in terms of abundance in most assemblages. The set of environmental conditions and habitat characteristics (longitude, depth and sea surface temperature) present in the Gulf of Tehuantepec predicted important changes in the batoid community and affected its spatiotemporal distribution pattern.

Framboesa é uma pequena fruta de grande importância econômica, que contém numerosos compostos fenólicos, com potenciais benéficos à saúde, porém, quando cultivada em regiões subtropicais possui baixa produtividade. Objetivou-se, neste trabalho, avaliar a produtividade de framboeseiras 'Batum', produzidas com ou sem cobertura plástica sobre o dossel das plantas, em duas densidades de plantio, sendo 0,25m e 0,5m entre plantas e 3,0m entre linhas e avaliadas por dois ciclos de produção (2012/13 e 2013/14), em região subtropical. O delineamento experimental adotado foi em blocos ao acaso, em esquema fatorial 2x2x2, com 6 blocos e 10 plantas por parcela. Foram avaliadas as características produtivas como número de frutos por planta, produção por planta e produtividade estimada. Além disso, foram demarcados os índices fenológicos, análises vegetativas e fisiológicas. O menor espaçamento de plantio entre as plantas (0,25m) e o plantio sem cobertura plástica sobre o dossel das plantas resultaram em maior produtividade das framboseiras 'Batum'.

The purpose of this research was to reveal and comprehend the meaning of capital in Batobo tradition. Batobo is a traditional farmer organization, in the agriculture part of the Malay society. It has been doing and agreed together and taken the turn each the fields of their members that have been agreed by them. The place has exactly been in Riau province, Kuantan district Singingi Village Kunik. Establish the enthusiastic of solidarity, family, and build up the human relationship which can be useful for many people. This Capital significance research in batobo tradition does not focus in the significance only but the capital is also useful for the society. The contribution of this research is to present regional social accounting, namely accounting that is based on social norms that care about society and the environment, and then can maintain and introduce batobo culture by embracing the nephews (millennial society) who are present in the era of modernization by not eliminating the traditional values of batobo.In research resulted in three types of capital used in the name social capital, economic capital, and spiritual capital. This research uses an interpretive paradigm with methodology phenomenology. This research concluded that there are six significances of capital from the member batobo, they are mutual cooperation, friendship, cooperative, responsibility, donation and worship.

<p class="1Body">Rock samples from seven (7) locations (with mountains ranging between 1000-1500m above sea level) of Ditera (Kuba, Laba, Bwara and Batum) and Waltadi (Gbang, Gbang Kolora, & Tewozo) Districts of Song Local Government Area, Adamawa State, Nigeria were investigated for solid minerals and metallic oxides. X-ray diffraction spectrophotometer used in the identification of the solid minerals revealed the presence quartz, albite and phlogopite in Kuba, quartz, albite, rutile and fluorannite in Laba, marshite, covellite, otavite, quartz and calcite in Bwara, quartz, oyelite, covellite and tenorite in Batum, barite alone in Gbang, quartz, covellite, ulvospinel, montmorillonite, rutile, and marshite in Gbang Kolora, and found in Tewozo were; quartz covellite, albite and marshite. Of the thirteen different minerals identified in these locations, quartz is the most dominantly present. Further investigation in which the rock samples were analyzed for their constituent major and minor oxides using X-ray fluorescence spectrophotometer also revealed the presence of some oxides which both qualitatively and quantitatively confirmed the presence of the solid minerals in the rock samples analyzed.</p>

O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar um possível tipo de luz mais ativo que a luz branca, de forma a aumentar a eficiência da multiplicação in vitro de framboeseira 'Batum', em relação ao número de brotos, de folhas e a taxa de multiplicação. Para isso, os tratamentos consistiram em cinco diferentes tipos de luz sob os quais os explantes cresceram (branca - testemunha, vermelha, amarela, azul e verde), fornecidas por meio da modificação do espectro luminoso das lâmpadas fluorescentes brancas-frias, utilizando filtros coloridos de acetato celulose, do tipo Lee Filters (Walworth Ind. The aim of the paper is to present the figure of Elisabeth Bathory as it is shown in historiography and to confront the myths surrounding her person with the findings of the researchers, especially Hungarian scholars who studied her life. It has been shown that Elisabeth Bathory fell victim to the plot of the palatine György Turzó, probably instigated by the court in Vienna. Unfortunately, Polish historians have so far neglected to address this issue in their research.

Bahasa adalah sebagai salah satu alat komunikasi yang dapat mengekspresikan berbagai perasaan. Ketidakterampilan seseorang dalam berkomunikasi dapat menyebabkan kesulitan ketika harus tampil didepan orang lain. Bagi seseorang yang memiliki rasa takut untuk berbicara didepan orang lain, akan muncul rasa kurang percaya diri dan khawatir sehingga dapat menggangu konsentrasi. Sebelum mulai berbicara di depan umum, dapat dilakukan latihan secara mandiri menggunakan aplikasi orai untuk menunjang keterampilan komunikasi (public speaking). Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pelatihan untuk menunjang keterampilan menggunakan aplikasi orai dalam pembelajaran public speaking secara mandiri bagi Pemuda Karang Taruna Kabupaten Batola. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan public speaking menggunakan aplikasi orai dilaksanakan pada tanggal 27-30 Juni 2022 dan dihadiri sebnyak 17 peserta dari Karang Taruna Kabupaten Batola. Diharapkan dengan adanya kegiatan ini para Pemuda Karang Taruna Kabupaten Batola dapat meningkatkan keterampilan tentang aplikasi orai dalam menunjang pembelajaran public speaking sehingga lebih memahami dan dapat mengaplikasikannya. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi diperoleh bahwa hasilnya sangat positif. Para Pemuda Karang Taruna Kabupaten Batola sangat antusias selama dua hari pelatihan dan menunjukkan bahwa mereka tertarik sehingga pelatihan ini dapat menunjang keterampilan mereka dalam public speaking. A language is a communication tool that can express various feelings. A person's inability to communicate can cause difficulties when appearing in front of others. For someone who fears speaking in front of others, there will be a lack of confidence and worry that can interfere with concentration. Before starting to speak in public, you can practice independently using the orai application to support communication skills (public speaking). The purpose of this service is to provide training to improve skills using the orai application so that it can support independent public speaking learning for Youth Karang Taruna Batola Regency. The method used was public speaking training using the orai application, held on 27-30 June 2022 and attended by 17 participants from the Youth Organization of Barito Kuala Regency. It is hoped that with this activity, the Karang Taruna Youth of Batola Regency can improve their skills in the application of orai in supporting public speaking learning so that they better understand and can apply it. Based on the evaluation results obtained that the results are very positive. The Karang Taruna Youth of Batola Regency were very enthusiastic during the two days of training and showed that they were interested so that this training could improve their skills in public speaking.

Las palmeras Mauritia flexuosa y Oenocarpus bataua son muy utilizadas por las comunidades ribereñas pero son muy poco estudiadas y amenazadas por su aprovechamiento inadecuado. Por lo cual, el objetivo fue proveer información sobre la estructura poblacional del aguaje (Mauritia flexuosa) y ungurahui (Oenocarpus bataua), con la finalidad de plantear recomendaciones de manejo sostenible. Se realizaron evaluaciones en parcelas estructurales de 1 ha con subparcelas de 10 m x 10 m anidadas en los extremos. M. flexuosa presentó mayor densidad en Nuevo Belén con 67,8 ind./ha; O. bataua presentó mayor densidad en Nueva Jerusalén con 20 ind./ha. M. flexuosa presentó mayor porcentaje de adultos masculinos con 67% y 69% en las dos áreas, la producción de racimos fue mayor en Nuevo Belén con 174 racimos/ha con una producción estimada de 130 sacos equivalente a unas 5 t. O. bataua presentó mayor producción de racimos en Nueva Jerusalén con 24 racimos/ha con una producción estimada de 12 sacos. Los análisis de baja densidad de plantas adultas, el ratio del sexo, las distribuciones diamétricas y por altura indican que ambas zonas han sido aprovechadas. Se concluye que es necesario implementar campañas de educación ambiental orientadas al manejo sostenible de estas especies.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a fenologia e a produção de cultivares de framboeseiras em condições subtropicais, no Brasil. O experimento foi realizado nos municípios de Lavras, MG, e Marechal Cândido Rondon, PR. Foram avaliadas sete cultivares, com as espécies Rubus idaeus (vermelhas, 'Heritage', 'Polana', 'Autumn Bliss' e 'Batum'; e amarelas, 'Golden Bliss', em Lavras, e 'Fall Gold', em Marechal Cândido Rondon) e R. niveus (framboesa-negra), além de um híbrido (Boysenberry) entre R. idaeus e amora-preta (R. ursinus). Foram coletados dados fenológicos (florescimento e período de colheita) e produtivos de dois ciclos de produção, e analisadas características físico-químicas dos frutos (dimensão, acidez titulável e conteúdo de sólidos solúveis). As cultivares de R. idaeus e o híbrido interespecífico não se adaptaram às condições climáticas do oeste paranaense, com baixa produção de frutos. No entanto, a framboesa-negra é uma excelente opção de cultivo na região, com alta produtividade (acima de 25 Mg ha-1) e qualidade de frutos (ratio de 9,3). No Sul de Minas, as framboeseiras apresentam boa adaptação, principalmente a framboesa-negra (18,2 Mg ha-1), a framboesa amarela (5 Mg ha-1) e a framboesa vermelha 'Batum' (4,4 Mg ha-1).

The final phase of the Batum subsystem unfolded despite the apparent defeat of the Central Powers on the main fronts of the Great War already at the end of September 1918. It was a consequence of the inertia of German and Ottoman expansion in the region, which received a new impetus after the capture of Baku in September 1918. For two months, efforts to maintain Berlin's and Constantinople's influence in the region continued, partly through uneasy compromises with Soviet Russia and thanks to an operational pause taken by British troops. The economic potential of exploiting the Transcaucasia for the Central Powers could not be realised, but the overall capabilities were unlocked and preparations gave way to a test-delivery phase. The impact of the intervention of the Central Powers on the course of the Civil War in the North Caucasus increased. The elimination of the Batum subsystem was one of the primary objectives of the British emissaries who were arriving from mid-November, however, they were unable to undo or transform its effects due to the same reasons that led to the policy failures of the German and Ottoman actors.
