The transition to university is a common, but varied experience shared by all students. Although, it is a largely positive life transition, many students experience major difficulties in making this transition. New university students often have to move away from home, establish new friendships and cope with academic work. In addition, they tend to drop out of university during their first year of study due to the manifest difficulties they cannot overcome. However, some students are able to cope better than others and make this transition without difficulty. Students who experience those stre
