In order to save costs per cubic meter per square meter of pavement and optimize raw material so increase quality and optimize materials to improve environmental and social sustainability, encourages the study and research on different chemical addition that are added to the concrete as well as the type of reinforcement that complements it. This document will focus on making a proposal of reinforced concrete with steel fiber and pozzolanic cement for the construction of rigid pavement by comparing the physical and mechanical properties of the mixtures and thus obtain the most efficient mixture that meets the conditions of the technical file in order to perform the application in a section of the paving project in the province of Grau of the department of Apurímac.

Texto completo da fonteThis project aims to inform the reader about a way in which wasted glass can be used in the construction sector providing benefits for civil engineering. This investigation is carried out using recycled ground glass as an addition to concrete and achieving a mix design with a required compressive strength of 210 kg / cm2 after 28 days of curing and a 3-4 inch slump. To find out the advantages of using recycled ground glass as an addition to concrete, it is necessary to make a comparison between a standard concrete and those added with glass powder. Three types of concrete were proposed with different doses of partial replacement of Type I cement with glass dust, these are 0%, 10% and 20%. Multiple mixing designs were made until reaching the final designs, which comply with a 3 to 4 inch slump and a f’cr of 210 kg / cm2 at 28 days. Then, a unit price analysis for the final designs is carried out and these are compared. Finally, the results show that concrete with 20% replacement has a lower production cost than the rest. Another important result is that, the more glass added to the concrete, the lower its resistance at an early age. In summary, by replacing 20% of the cement with glass dust, an economic benefit can be obtained.

Texto completo da fonteThe present research work to choose the degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in the construction branch, had the purpose of evaluating and comparing the behavior of concrete with different proportions of substitution of natural coarse aggregate (AN) by aggregates of recycled concrete (ACR ) in order to obtain a concrete design that allows the reduction and use of natural aggregates, and thus reduce the depredation of quarries. The behavior was evaluated by analyzing the mechanical properties and durability of the types of mixtures made with the objective of obtaining an optimal substitution ratio of AN by ACR so that the properties are within the parameters indicated by the standards. On the other hand, a model of a contributed structure was made to make an Environmental Impact Assessment by using the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology in the Athena program and, subsequently, the results obtained in said program were compared.

Texto completo da fonteAt present the amounts of waste have increased over the years, turning into a serious threat to the environment. This has generated greater attention by authorities and researchers around the world, proposing environmentally friendly uses of these residues, which have been developing and improving in recent years. This study delves into the possible use of pulverized flat glass waste as a sustainable solution, when added to concrete. For this, mixing designs were made with different amounts of glass powder and comparisons were made to identify the effect on the properties of the concrete by slump tests, compressive strength and compressive strength in sulfate attack conditions. The results show that for these tests, the addition of glass powder favors the characteristics of its properties, while presenting an economic saving.

Texto completo da fonteCurrently, the construction sector is one of the most polluting sectors worldwide, it is considered one of the maximum contributors of carbon emissions. In this industry, materials such as cement and steel are used, whose elements are considered as materials with high energy incorporated. The manufacture of these materials has a considerable CO2 impact; Cement alone represents 5% of CO2 emissions worldwide. Also, the concrete industry is responsible for the indiscriminate extraction of non-renewable resources such as water and aggregates, sand and stone, coming from quarries, gravel, rock, etc. The purpose of this thesis is the comparative analysis of the technical properties of concrete mixtures made from recycled aggregates and / or by-products from industries such as Palm Oil Clinker (POC) and rubber; in order to reduce the indiscriminate extraction of aggregates from quarries that are used by the concrete industry. Also, reduce the amount of CO2 that is produced by the extraction of these aggregates as they are highly polluting for the environment. The work of our research is based on performing 156 test specimens with recycled aggregates in the concrete mixture giving different structural benefits such as increased flexion, compression and traction. It is presented as a feasible project that proposes an eco-friendly alternative to counteract the negative environmental impact caused by the concrete industry through a comparative study of three concrete mixtures using recycled materials such as POC and rubber in partial sand replacement.

Texto completo da fonteThe present research was carried out with the purpose of designing and evaluating a mixture of concrete added with nanosilica for application to first order hydraulic channels exposed to sulphates in the north coast of Peru, being analyzed the situation of the Chavimochic Special Project: Stage I. This research is developed experimentally and includes trials with national and international standards (NTP, ASTM and NTC) in the aggregates, water, concrete in fresh state and concrete in hardened state. In order to analyze the increase of certain properties of the structural elements in contact with aggressive agents, such as sulphates, the benefits of incorporating nanosilica in the concrete mixture with 0.2%, 0.225% and 0.25% are evaluated. Being the second percentage of addition, which shows better workability for a water / cement ratio of 0.45. As a result, it was obtained that the nanosilica concrete (NSC) presents lower air content than the simple concrete mixture (SC). In addition, the resistance to compression and tensile increase in 3.41% and 19.48%, respectively, at the age of 28 days with the addition of nanosilica. Likewise, for the sulphate exposure test, the specimens with nanosilica showed an average deterioration of 50% lower in all its edges compared to the simple concrete specimens. Additionally, the permeability coefficient (k) for both mixtures was analyzed and it was determined that the NSC has a low permeability and the SC a medium permeability.
