Die Soldering occurs in aluminum permanent mold casting when the cast metal bonds with the die surface and remains stuck upon ejection of the part. Eventually, this layer builds up and production must be stopped for cleaning. It was estimated in a Contech squeeze casting plant in Pierceton, IN, that 1.5% of variable overhead can be directly attributed to die soldering. Previous work at WPI has focused on developing the mechanism of how soldering occurs. This work focuses on how that knowledge can be applied in an industrial setting. Poor diet quality is a source of morbidity and mortality within the United States. Previous researchers have examined psychosocial influences on diet; however, the relationship between life chaos, a psychosocial measure, and diet quality was not known. The purpose of this cross-sectional survey study was to use the Life Chaos Scale and the Healthy Eating Index-2010 to collect data on life chaos and diet quality, consistent with the biopsychosocial model of health, from a sample of 103 U.S. adults. Prior research suggests that fear of cancer recurrence is very common among cancer survivors. This study examined the extent to which Protection Motivation Theory variables of threat appraisal and coping appraisal accounted for differences in fear of recurrence and performance of health behaviors in cancer patients who recently completed treatment. Eine Reihe 3-(p-X-phenyl)-Thiophenmonomeren (X = -H, -CH3, -OCH3, -COCH3, -COOC2H5, -NO2) wurde elektrochemisch polymerisiert, um Filme zu erhalten, die umkehrbar reduziert und oxidiert werden konnten (n-und p-dotiert wurden). The aim of the thesis was to study and describe data mining methodology CRISP-DM. From the collected database of calls to the call center a prediction was performed, based on CRISP-DM methodology. In phase of test situation modeling four different testing methods were used: the k-NN, neural network, linear regression and super vector machine.
