Light green essential oils extracted from the leaves of Eupatorium odoratum (Asterace) from Himalaya region (India) were screened for repellent activity against Anopheles stephensi, Aedes aegypti and Culex quinquifaciatus mosquitoes. The repellent activity was evaluated in door condition. Four concentrations 2.5%, 5%, 7.5% and 10% (v/v) in ethanol were considered in this study. Studies on the undergrowth vegetation of Eucalyptus camaldulensis, Acacia auricu­liformis, Cassia siamea and Xylia dolabriformis plantations by count quadrat methods showed the presence of 38 species. Eupatorium odoratum and Glycosmis pentaphylla were the most common species followed by Adina cordifolia and Shorea robusta cop­pices. Undergrowth vegetation of six and eight years old Eucalyptus camaldulensis plantations produced maximum over-dry biomass (Kg/ha) in comparison to other plan­tations.

Basis krim yang digunakan adalah vanishing cream dengan kosentrasi ekstrak 2,5%, 5%, dan 10%. Uji untuk efek antiinflamasi pada mencit putih betina dibentuk menggunakan kantung granuloma. Following the observation of in vitro anti-malarial activity of the ethanolic extract of Curcuma longa Linn., the active compound was isolated from its rhizome and detected in vitro, the results showed that schizont suppression of 62.63% even at the lowest concentration 0.625 µg/ml on human malaria with IC50 values of &lt;0.625ug/ml.
