Texto completo da fonteThe aim of this work is to increase knowledge of Information Science, its basic concepts and its acceptance as a branch of university education, based on the example of the Universities of Applied Science in Geneva, recently created as a result of the Confederation's political decisions. Our research makes use of the concept of "disciplinarisation" such as it is frequently used in Social Sciences. The analysis of the institutional, professional and disciplinary fields, allows us to circumscribe both the conditions of emergence of a scientific field which wishes to strengthen its status, and the way the disciplinary field is strongly influenced by political decisions, outside the disciplinary field, but whose consequences can play a capital role on the visibility of the discipline. We also take into account the opinion of students, as they will soon be the main actors in the professional field of reference. These ideas lead us to consider teaching Library and Information Science and to propose guidelines, that will lay down the theoretical foundations of a professional university education

Texto completo da fonteThis research describes the profile of the modem information professional in brazil and in france from 1991 to 1995 and compares the information market in those two countries. The place of the professional who graduated from information science schools on this market will be the subject of special attention. The sources analysed are job advertisements diffused in brazil by the main newspapers, trade unions and professional associations; in france, the sources are the job advertisements diffused by professional schools and associations. The description of the profile of the information professional has been established through content analysis of the job advertisements and through interviews with information professionals and personnel/human ressource managers in "region de l'ile-de-france", in france, and "grande sao paulo", in brazil. The analysis of the caracteristics of the modern information professional is based in two variables: the tasks employers ask their information staff to perform and the type of education required in advertisements

Texto completo da fonteThis research work is based upon the assumption that the ICTEs (Information and Communication Technologies for Education), Internet and other Information systems developments bring about a deep and fundamental change to the approach of the overall context of archive and documentation management in Africa. Our survey concerns the current development of information technologies in general and particularly the use of ICTEs in higher education in Africa, focussing on the mechanisms implemented at the School for Librarians in Dakar, Senegal, “EBAD” (École des bibliothécaires, Archivistes et Documentalistes de Dakar) and the way they are received by the African specialists. Such a significant digital upheaval necessarily implies new methodologies devised for “informational activities”, remote work and new know-hows in the processing, management, research and sharing of information. For that reason, African information and documentation specialists are now led to get involved and adapt to their new role of information mediators, which implies that they acquire and master new educational, informational, documentary and sociotechnical capabilities. This new role of African specialists is all the more necessary as the vast majority of our fellow citizens are illiterate (more than 60%, particularly in languages used by northern countries for the exchange of cultural resources and information). Now these capabilities can admittedly be acquired only by training; this is why we have set our goals through our three empirical studies: firstly, to review the current state of training in the African LIS, secondly by asking the specialists questions, to assess their practice of information and distance learning methods and to identify their own training needs. Thirdly, we are laying the base for the reflection on future prospects of jobs in the field of information / documentation in Africa, in complex and ever-changing environments

How does this information reach teachers ? How does educational literature influence secondary school teachers attitudes and practice and allow them to have access to new functions ? To analyze social use of educational knowledge, I endeavoured to locate and identify teachers minorities among five groups presumed to be great readers. To operate this research two methods were used : a) questionnaires were sent to the five groups mentioned to identify the most favoured modes of information to check the hypothesis of the existence, among teachers, of opinion leaders and to describe the trends of this new educational culture of teachers ; b) a collection of 33 occupational life stories were analyzed according to a comprehensive sociology schedule. Though educational readings are diverse, a dozen of authors represent the common core of knowledge used by practitioners. Teachers-readers are classified into six information and learning profiles, according to the relations between histories of knowledge solutions are suggested to improve the dissemination of educational literature among teachers

Texto completo da fonteIn a globalized world where information production rhythm does not cease to accelerate in every field of activities mostly in the scientific one, digital networks and information and communication Technologies (ICT), have even more contributed to multiply knowledge and to complicate tools and means of communication. Gabon, despite its many economic advantages, takes a long to fulfill to students expectancies by giving them system of training which integrates new possibilities of transmission of knowledge adapted to a new deal. From an inquiry done at Omar Bongo University (UOB) and at Masuku Science and Technique University (USTM), this research tries to analyze to which point students can master practices methods of information so as to apprehend a more problematic reality: on one hand the massive use and appropriation of TIC and on the other hand the objective and the contents of this training, constantly evolving. By advocating the documentary training of students of Gabon, thanks to this thesis reflexion on necessity of global mastery of information process can be directed towards the approach “learn how to learn”, which can reveal itself as being very helpful to students for example it will allow them to build and create their own learning strategies of meta-cognitive process through an exact know-how technique; through an optimal use of documentary tools in a logic of transmission (teaching/learning), where students’capacity of autonomy is considered to answer to research needs, to data processing and operating system of information

Texto completo da fonteSince the beginning of the 21st century, online training has been expanding in French companies. Thus, we wanted to know whether this new learning tool, which combines training strategies with IT use, could impact the standard enterprise scheme. In order to answer this question, we decided to conduct an exploratory study that highlights a wide range of changes resulting from the introduction of e-learning in a business. We carried out our investigation in the company Castorama. There, we could validate almost 40 interviews that we used to achieve our thematic analysis of a qualitative and declaratory nature. To structure the research, we established a conceptual framework with strategic, organizational, cultural, technical and educational dimensions that could be affected by online training. Once these dimensions are redefined by our work, we reach a sample which highlights numerous contributions of e-learning in a company. Actually, we notice the existence of two closely linked units of meaning. On one hand, there is a "" learning unit" : "e" and "learning"", comprising the technical and educational dimensions. On the other hand, there is a "behavioral unit of the organization and people resulting from the training" which includes the strategic, organizational and cultural dimensions. This is called the "e-learning mix"

Texto completo da fonteThe transfer of expertise is a field of research which has been little studied by geographers. This thesis attempts to explore the geographical problems implicated by knowledge transfer -the interaction of spatial and cultural elements - in the specific context of Cameroon. Cameroon has tried, unsuccessfully, to base its industrial development on the importation of foreign technology. The analysis of Cameroon’s failure is limited to the two key elements inherent in the transfer of expertise: professional training, which prepares learners to accept new ideas and techniques; and the scientific information, which encourages the use of the newly acquired expertise. Drawing upon industrial, educational and documentary sources, the author reaches several conclusions regarding Cameroon’s modernization policies and, its corollary, international technical assistance. The author also brings to light the regional and cultural disparities present in Cameroon. This leads to a study of the impact that modernization has had on the different social contexts. These disparities should, in turn, show the way to a long-term development policy - one aimed more at local know-how and handicraft

Texto completo da fonteThe CARIF-OREF Guadeloupe, association law 1901 charged to disseminate information on professional training, set up on behalf of the Regional council of Guadeloupe a Internet portal, intented to connect the various actors and applicants of professional training. The empirical study of the development relations, within the Portal, revealed that each on decides to use or not to use it, to adapt it or not to adapt it. On the basis of this experiment, this thesis try to analyse, why the actors and applicants of formation of the DFA adapt themselves or are not adapted tools Internet of information on the formation placed at their disposal. It reforms, also, on the role and the function : interests, asstes personal and professional, relational networks pre-made up in the appropriation or it "not-appropriation" of Communication and Information Technologies. The interrogation relates, here, to the "causes of appropriation of tools Internet of information". It is the reason of the interrogative heading of this memory : Which information for which professional training in the DFA (French Departments of America) ? Methodology approached consists in checking three assumptions in answer to such problem. The first consists in considering that the appropriation passes by a process of impregnation. That is say the appropriation comes from an early sensitizing to tools Internet in family circle. This early sensitizing favours the individual in his step of knowledge management. The second assumption poses the appropriation of tools Internet and the development of a knowledge management like the resultant of a widened culture. A culture gathering the various personal and professional cultures of the individual. The third assumption makes appropriation of tools Internet the result of an individual strategy installation by the individual. To check these starting assumptions, the context of the appropriation is initially delimited by a systemic approach of professional trainig in the DFA. Then quantitative data as well as qualitative are delivered

Texto completo da fonteThis PhD Thesis is part of the field of Information and Communication Sciences and deals with the question of information architecture as a paradigm for distance learning devices. A theoretical and conceptual framework located in the notion of device (micro, meso and macro scales) and anchored in the study of uses (“Sociologie des usages” and “Sociologie de l’innovation”) makes it possible to position information architecture as an intermediate principle between the designer-user relationship and raises the following research question: how is mediation operated in distance learning devices? The hypothesis is that in such devices, the functional perspective takes precedence over the normative perspective of communication. This hypothesis is tested through a qualitative approach which is based on the one hand on an observation of distance learning interfaces and on the other hand on semi-structured interviews conducted with the design teams. The case study is about M@gistère, a device dedicated to the training of teachers. It emerges from the content analysis that in fact, in M@gistère it is the normative perspective that prevails over the functional perspective of communication, even if in this device the context seems to take precedence over the content and over the users. The study also shows that information architecture is at the service of mediation in a device. Mediation is a facilitator of uses and appropriation. Finally, the study contributes to information architecture through a model to observe the interface of a distance training device and analyze the organization of information

Texto completo da fonteThe research focuses on economic, social and symbolic risks in the design process of multimedia products for operators training in enterprise. For the sake, as these products concern several professional fields, the strategies and the practices of their prescriptives and designers have been understood in articulation with logic of power face to face the formatives and operators. The methodology of research is based on a semiotic and linguistic analysis of three products of training. That has allowed the construction of a grille of talking with actors of their design so as to test hypotheses on their strategies, their practices and their systems of values, as well as on social logic. For superintendents of production, pedagogical strategies and multimedia products cover a considerable institutional importance : on the one hand, to reorganize the production by normalising the general purpose and the autonomy of operators, on the other hand, to computerize and decentralisz the training to the maximum on production sites so as to reduce costs of training. It is, especially, in the framework of some internal evaluation process and selection of operators, that elaborate processes of handwriting multimedia based on pedagogical strategies. In the same time, the designers tempt to create conditions in order that exists a market of training products. Therefore, the difficulty of the technical training is that it is generally very specific to be proposed to a large public under an edition form. Nevertheless, within this market, even if modes of production are not the same that modes of cultural industries, real strategies of edition exist in the design of multimedia products for operators training, destined to replace the formatives, or to articulate to their practices

Texto completo da fonteIf the long distance training programs have evolved and benefited from information technologies in order to help the relationship between the learner and the knowledge, the systems that are in place have not been very successful. The reasons why people are reluctant to use such systems are probably due to the many obstacles that one must overcome in order to design, set up and carry out these training programs. In fact, before generalizing their use, it seemed useful to us to think about the obstacles that still needed to be removed. This way, our goals would have a chance to be achieved. Our first task was to try to identify the parameters that would help or hinder these new teaching practices. Thus, we could try to imagine and create favourable conditions that would enable us to overcome these difficulties. These conditions would mainly be actions to improve the efficiency of the training programs. These are called assumptions of action or “the assumptions that establish a link between a goal to obtain and an action to be set up. ”(Berthon 2000) In addition, we pose as an assumption that these devices are complex systems. In order for the actions undertaken by the designers to be relevant and effective, they must be induced by an analysis of the teaching institution, using a systematic approach. Regarding this assumption, the systematic approach of Engestrom, which skilfully combines these concepts into an organized whole, seemed to us, to be a useful resource, making it possible for us to induce the actions to be undertaken in this particular context of long-distance training through technologies. These actions were subsequently observed and studied, using this same framework( a framework which had already been used) for the designing of the system. Thus, our objective was to propose an approach which would enable us to conceive a relevant scenario of long distance training and to popularize it through the information technologies. Next, we could study the effects and the validity of the actions that this suggested

Texto completo da fonteThe present research treats of the involvement of Information and Communication Technologies in the development of the self-training of to-be primary school teachers. The context in which this research settles is double. Firstly, that of the setting up of the teachers’ training reform – masterisation – which took place in France from 2010 to 2013. Secondly, that of the contemporary problems related to the use of digital technology for self-training. The following work is based on data which was gathered during individual interviews with primary school teacher trainees who originated from masterisation, in order to explore their views on the profession, on the knowledge as well as on Information and Communication Technologies. Its goal is the better understanding of what self-training via ITCs represents for them, and also to bring into light the stakes engendered, in terms of career building and development. What stands out from this, is that the complexity of this rather peculiar pre-teaching phase is doubled by that of teaching and of self-training in a “digital world”. It appears that the infinite possibilities which are offered by these technologies only strengthen the need for a very solid initial training. This implies the reinforcement of human interaction through an enlightened and enlightening guidance for beginning teachers, enabling them to develop all the sooner their professional competence and to continue to make them evolve all along their career

Texto completo da fonteA synthesis of twenty years of personal studies in the field of educational technologies, especially on the relations between the learning individual and machines such as video tape recorders and computers. A journey, both theoretical and experimental from linguistics to CAI and artificial intelligence via audio-visual aids and psychology. "Representation" is the central concept used to analyze the many dimensions and effects of the massive introduction of new artificial cognitive objects (electronic pictures and programs) within the natural cognitive processes of learning man. Video cameras and computers each objectify and modelize in its specific way one of the main two different human modes of mental representation : the sensitive global analogic, and the rational analytic logic mode with their feedback loops and interactivity, both machines prove both efficient mediato complex, ambivalent cognitive intruders with effects, both positive and negative, on the learning processes. An hypothesis is that a new mode of mental narcissism is developing in the mirror type of interactions between human inner-and machine outer representation, a possible origin of the considerable behavioral interindividual differences observed in the field. Besides, the computer logic would induce in some individuals a neurotic drift of obsessional type, from a position of mastery (legitimate) to one of ascendency (neurotic) through all-powerful control of formal abstract worlds

Texto completo da fonteThe growing attention to digital technology presented today as a "factor" (for equipment), a "constraint" (by their inevitability), and an "opportunity" for development, has forced many educational and training institutions to better meet the expectations of the people, by offering them training arrangements adapted to incorporating new methods of knowledge transmission. This formula thesis research project helps to better understand the role of FAD in Gabon and proposes ways to ensure that this type of training will really take off and become key to the country's economic revival. We hope that our study will help identify and clarify the issues that will determine the advance of educational and training institutions in Gabon towards the path of FAD. For we are convinced that the Gabonese are among those who have the most to gain from the effective use of ICT to build a creative and knowledge-based society. The extent of the Gabon's benefits depend very much on how fast and efficiently the educational and training institutions of the country will adopt the FAD

Texto completo da fonteThe subject of research was proposed to us after the upheavals which shook the French society after the drama of contaminated blood. Two major causes are at the origin of this drama: a deficit of teaching of the blood transfusion and failures in the transmission of the information or the perception of this information. The transfusion organization, heart of target of the subject of research is analyzed, it contributes, by the implication of its elites to the formation in France and ensures information by organizing congress and the edition of reviews specialized in blood transfusion. The drama of blood contaminated had three components: a bankruptcy in the selection of the donors, the collections in prison and in the streets at the time of the appearance of the epidemic AIDS ; delay in the use of inactivated products contributing to the massive contamination of the haemophiliacs ; delay in the tracking of the donors for economic reasons, in order to support a test of French tracking. This crisis does not mark it the end of the third biomedical revolution which saw large the French doctors, immunologists, hematologists, to ensure the success of French research

Texto completo da fonteThe aim of this research is to show how ICT take part in the construction/deconstruction of an occupational group and then to contribut to one of the concerns of the Sociology of Professions through Information and Communication Sciences. In an interactionnist perspective, the occupational group can be defined as a composite entity made up of segments, distinct professional realities in negotiation and permanent competition. In this approach, professionalisation of an occupational group can be characterized as a dynamic process of relational configurations between segments which clash and operate various strategies according to their position within the group. This study focus on collective strategies generated by the introduction of ICT into social construction of the occupational group. And our task will consist in analyzing interactions between the identified segments, here characterized as collective actors. The purpose of our thesis is to reveal and to understand the sets of interactions between these collective actors of an occupational group —the segments—, and to comprehend the process of professionalisation. First of all, we will show how ICT uses can reveal a new segmentation of trainers' occupational group and thus characterize several segments. The process of professionalisation which takes part within the occupational group will be, then, questioned through a communications systemic analysis. What kind of relationship and strategies are taking place between these segments ? What is the underlying dynamic behind all these negotiations ?

Texto completo da fonteThis work is an attempt at a critical assessment of the past 25 years efforts toward the establishment of information systems in developing countries and at articulating a systematic review of the critical issues involved. It relies upon a selection of the author's publications, based on the observations and analyses made in the course of his consulting activities in the same period, mostly in africa and latin america. The main topics considered are: the suitability of the concept of the "information society" for the developing countries are discussed and the cultural factors imbeded in the information cycle; the various "social measures" of information are described as well as the index of information utilization potential (iup); the defects of the information policies and requirements for their successful implementation; the major features of the national information infrastructures in the developing countries; the modalities for the implementation of programmes in support of the development of information activities; the inefficiency of isolated endeavours and the requirements for building effective networks; the need for establishing information management within organizations and most suitable approaches to that end; the advantages of modern information technologies and the specification which appropriate tools shoud meet; the constraints which limit the role of developing countries in international information exchanges and the avenues for a more active participation; the radical changes which education and training for information work should undergo; the limitations of research on information and development and the series of major research topics on which it should concentrate

Texto completo da fonteEuropean vocational training is a society stake. Intermediation is effective in the construction of the knowledge of the actors on reality, the total information system and contributes to the dynamics of the programme (95-99). Methodological und epistemological reflexion deals with the determination of strategies of access and representation in the mobility projects and the pilot projects. The investigation led in national agencies and in Brussels relates to the obstacles in industry and the qualitative evaluation. Partnership generates to emergence of an infocom based conception, the creation of conditions of access in the cognitive process of transnational training of mobility, of intellectual tools of indexing-research adapted to the user. The intervention of documentalists, asset of the french education system, sets the need for competences and ICT in initial training. The study of the information system in the environment aims at understanding the mechanisms of the programme and its effects, conceptualisation through the treatment of sources. Systemic and functional analysis accounts for the position of the documentation authority in the organization, social and economic interaction. The association of indexing methods allows visibility of contents as an alternative to thematic vision. Classifications, the representation as an obstacle on the way of information process and participation are analysed. Conceptual accessibility faces the management of the ideas and aims at the sharing and produktion of knowledge in a logic of collective intelligence. Communication in the UE sees unity in diversity and the democratic joint decision with the information science speech in the institution-user-actor-citizen interaction. Intermediation controls cognitive and social exchanges but request the awakening of the infocom issue to reduce organisational distance and support european integration

Texto completo da fonteThe integration of information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into basic training stresses main challenges : to sensitive unskilled adults to new tools of thought and communication which have become unavoidable ; to prepare them to meet social and economic demands and to adapt to technological evolutions; to facilitate the access to basic training and proper grasp of fundamental learning based on oral and written communication, logical- mathematical organisation. The ICT as a communication means and/or learning tool medium adds new life to activity frameworks and teaching methods. Both fields of information and training can now work together because of : the use of on-line informational and pedagogical resources; new skills for managing incoming information in order to develop a more critical mindset to define how to use the resources. Strategic information survey is appropriate for identifying and ensuring the critical themes that determine the schemes' success. .

Texto completo da fonteLibrarians and special librarians do not seem to be socially, economically, technically and culturally adapted to their environment. This situation is the more paradoxical and evil that at the same time the western societies are moving to an "informational era". Their practices are strongly, if not exclusively, influenced by empirism and tradition. They fail, by ignorance or neglect, to base them on theoretical foundations. They are not considered as "professionals". The effectiveness of information systems is largely discussed. Even if, at the present time, the theoretical foundations are not well established, some exist which will allow the "information specialists" to identify and call the same objects with the same words, to understand each other, to communicate with other specialists, to have a better understanding of the phenomena they consider, and so to manage them in a better way, to explain their "professional" choice, to foresee new situations, to convey this framed knowledge within "information science schools", in a word, to be real "professionals". This leads to new and enlarged theoretical researches in the fields of "information" and "communication", to a professional training and in some countries, like in france, to the gathering of all the varied "information specialists" in one single "professional group" to face new challenges

Texto completo da fonteCameroon must face the quasi universal requirement of integrating the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) into education. From this gigantic and complex field, we pointed problems relating to the didactic training of the teachers of French language. This French language which has the polemical status of being considered as a second language in Cameroon (Cuq, 1991). The thesis which pertains to the sciences of language, adopts however a systemic (Moigne, 1977) and necessarily a transdisciplinary approach (Nicolescu, 1996), only likely to deal with the complexity (Morin, 1982) of the set of themes. On the basis of the sociolinguistic situation of Cameroon - officially bilingual country (French, English), containing 300 national languages - this study reveals the epistemological (Popper, 1963), technological (Karsenti, 2005) and ethical bonds (Comenius, 17th century) which exist between the status of French, the training of teachers and the ICT in such a multilingual context

Texto completo da fonteWith the aim of studying the learning processes of students in an online environment, we have focused our research on the analysis of their synchronous interactions during tutorial and team work activities, with and without the presence of their tutors. The emphasis is to search for factors which would serve as support to distance education students who face problems such as isolation, lack of motivation and uncertainty. Although the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is considered to be the acquired tool to bridge the distance today, they are not sufficient to help students persevere in their studies. With the help of a questionnaire - survey, we have come up with important learning phases of students, and then we proceeded with the qualitative analysis: at macro level, we made use of Kuutti [96] and d'Engeström [87] models and, to deepen further our queries, the Panchoo/Jaillet methodology has successfully brought to light more details on the nature of those exchanges. The quantitative analysis along with the visual presentations used, showed the various trends that existed in the different online meetings as well as in the behavior of tutors and students. The 84 meetings analysed revealed that the interactions consisted more of rules exchanges than those relating to pedagogy. Therefore, with relevant support such as the use of technologies, the educational environment, the learning strategies and the company of tutors and peers, students have proved to be very capable and responsible; they succeeded in their studies by helping each other, by cooperating and collaborating while doing the requested activities at their own pace. Further to our research, we can deduce that the interactions given at the right time can trigger proactive learning activities of relevant actors

Texto completo da fonteThe extraordinary development of ICT in society is a challenge to the way we work, communicate and exchange information in ail areas of life. The university and the teaching of geography, specifically, need to be engaged with a society increasingly technological. The threefold objective of this thesis is therefore first understand how are teachers and students of geography at the University deal with new technologies in their work environment, Tunisia, and for comparison, in French universities; then identify and analyze the practices of teachers as ICT students and finally to reveal the needs of each other in the use of ICT. Initially the research, it seemed necessary to present the main information technology and communication used in higher education of geography, to clarify their contribution to the learning process and the dissemination of a new geography and the concrete conditions of their introduction in Tunisian universities. In a second phase is scheduled for a full investigation within a few geography departments in Tunisia, from a teacher questionnaire and a questionnaire on student goals and methods of using ICT in geography lessons. In France, a survey will be possible only in a few Parisian universities. The operating results of the survey will provide a third step uses the most relevant ICT in geography teaching in Tunisian universities
