Multiplication of Polynomials using Discrete Fourier Transformation In this article we define the Discrete Fourier Transformation for univariate polynomials and show that multiplication of polynomials can be carried out by two Fourier Transformations with a vector multiplication in-between. Our proof follows the standard one found in the literature and uses Vandermonde matrices, see e.g. [27].

Resumo:

This research is a development of multiplicative calculus. This study is about the Fourier multiplicative transformation and its application to the multiplicative differential equation. This study aims to determine the Fourier multiplicative transformation as well as the multiplicative differential equation. This study contains numerical simulations to solve the problem of ordinary multiplicative differential equations of the first order. The methods used in this research are descriptive research methods through the study of literature. The results of this study are the application of multiplicative Fourier transformations to multiplicative differential equations and numerical solutions of ordinary multiplicative differential equations with the Adam Bashforth-Moulton multiplicative method. Resumo:

In the analysis of the double window Fourier transform, it is found that both components of the direct transformation contain an equal amount of information sufficient to restore the original time signal. A double conversion diagram has been constructed. For any initial signal, there is a conjugate signal having the same frequency spectrum. Analysis of the harmonic signal transformation showed that at an arbitrary phase of the harmonic, the frequency representation contains two functions: conditionally unipolar with a maximum at the initial frequency and bipolar with a zero value at the specified frequency. For classical Fourier transformations with an infinite limit of integration, these functions turn into two delta functions with the same properties. The practical application of the found patterns is currently limited by the lack of an algorithm that allows the use of data from only one component.

Na segunda parte é feita uma análise das séries temporais de precipitação de chuvas (séries de chuva). As séries de chuvas foram obtidas junto ao Departamento de Águas e Energia Elétrica (DAEE) do estado de São Paulo e são constituídas de medições diárias, em milímetros, da quantidade de chuva em postos meteorológicos distribuídos em todo o estado. Algumas séries apresentam ausências de medições que acabam transformando uma série longa em duas ou mais séries menores. Em função disso foi estabelecido um procedimento que permite aproveitar essas séries com ausências (dias sem medições) para estimar o expoente de Hurst. A partir de considerações climáticas o estado foi dividido em nove regiões. Foram selecionadas séries com 20 anos de registros de chuva (de janeiro de 1978 a dezembro de 1997). Dos valores de H encontrados foi feita uma média para cada região climática do estado de São Paulo.<br>This work can be separated into two parts. Ordinarily, having an n-dimensional operator relation implies operator relations for all dimensions less than n as well. However, for Fourier transforms this is not so. Only the effect of one-dimensional Fourier transforms in two-dimensional first order systems has been solved previously.1 A partial Fourier transform applied to a nonsingular linear transformation produces a Ohio' transformation, i.e., a matrix pivot. This implies a new definition of the symplectic group SP(n, C) for n ≥ 4 as the group generated by n-dimensional nonsingular linear transformations and the n one-dimensional Fourier transforms. This also provides an alternative method for generalizing low-dimensional results to higher dimensions. Several apparently new determinantal identities generalizing Chio's theorem are immediate consequences.

A microcomputer-based optical linear transformation processing system is described. This system utilizes two patially parallel addressable magnetooptic spatial light modulators and a CCD detector to perform high speed electrooptical operation. A systolic array processing scheme is employed in this system to implement various linear transformations, for example, discrete Fourier transformation, discrete Hilbert transformation, chirp-Z transformation, and many others.

Resumo:

Il existe un vaste consensus sur l’impact considérable qu’aura l’intelligence artificielle (IA) sur la nature du travail et des emplois du futur. Cependant, il y a moins de certitude quant à la nature de ces impacts et à la manière dont ils se manifesteront dans différents secteurs et types d’emplois. Ce rapport se concentre sur les professions régies par un ordre professionnel au Québec et vise à apporter des éléments de réponse préliminaires à la question suivante: «Comment les ordres professionnels du Québec peuvent-ils se préparer et s’adapter à la nouvelle ère de l’IA?» Pour répondre à cette question, une revue de la littérature d’une sélection de publications professionnelles et scientifiques ainsi que des entretiens avec des experts en la matière ont été effectués. Quatre principaux enjeux transversaux auxquels font face les professions de divers secteurs d’activités sont identifiés dans la recherche: 1. Évolution constante de l’IA 2. Déterminer le rythme d’adoption de l’IA 3. Préserver le rôle du professionnel 4. Accompagner ses clients et patients Sous-jacents à ces quatre enjeux, se trouvent 14 défis distincts qui représentent des obstacles potentiels au déploiement et à l’utilisation efficaces de l’IA au sein du système professionnel québécois. La recherche n’a révélé aucun enjeu ou défi associé à l’IA propre à l’un ou l’autre des 3 secteurs d’activité dans lesquels sont regroupés les ordres professionnels au Québec. Cependant, il y a 4 considérations particulières qui influent sur la nature et l’importance des enjeux et des défis auxquels sont confrontés les ordres professionnels et leurs membres, notamment: - Le type de l’IA déployée, - Le contexte organisationnel dans lequel le professionnel exerce ses activités - Le type de tâches affectées par l’IA Les risques liés aux personnes Dans la dernière partie du rapport, 6 recommandations sont proposées pour aider les parties prenantes du système professionnel québécois à répondre aux défis qui les attendent. Ces recommandations pourront servir à la réflexion que suscite cette transformation technologique: 1. S’engager dans un dialogue proactif avec les professionnels 2. Fournir des balises claires en matière d’imputabilité et responsabilité 3. Adapter les programmes de formation 4. Garantir la priorité de la décision humaine 5. Devenir des partenaires de confiance dans le développement de l’IA 6. Assurer la santé et le bien-être des professionnels
