Increase in the number of network based transactions for both personal and professional use has made network security gain a significant and indispensable status. The possible attacks that an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) has to tackle can be of an existing type or of an entirely new type. The challenge for researchers is to develop an intelligent IDS which can detect new attacks as efficiently as they detect known ones. Intrusion Detection Systems are rendered intelligent by employing machine learning techniques. In this paper we present a statistical machine learning approach to the IDS u

Chrysanthemi Flos ‘Hangbaiju’ (HBJ) is a common Chinese medicinal material with the same origin as the medicinal and edible cognate plant in China, whose quality is seriously affected by the place of origin. In this study, four stable isotope ratios (δ15N, δ2H, δ13C, and δ18O) and 44 elements were detected and analyzed in 191 HBJ flower samples from six locations in China to trace the origin of HBJ. An ANOVA analysis of δ15N, δ2H, δ13C, and δ18O values, as well as milti-elements, showed that there were significant differences among the six places of origin. Partial least squares discriminant a

Abstract Prostate cancer (PCa) diagnostics are shifting towards multi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) combined with targeted biopsies. However, some 10% of clinically significant PCa (csPCa) is missed with current MRI sequences. Evidence on biological differences between MRI visible and invisible csPCa is scarce. Our aim was to find out, whether MRI invisible lesions harbor more indolent characteristics compared to visible csPCa lesions, and to identify transcript markers of MRI visibility. Abstract Background: The phase 2 Adaptive Multi-Drug Treatment of Evolving Cancers (AMTEC) trial (NCT03801369) evaluated the efficacy of the combination of the PARP inhibitor Olaparib (Ola) and the PD-L1 inhibitor Durvalumab (Durva) in participants with BRCA-wildtype mTNBC. The combination was found to be effective with a median progression free survival (mPFS) of 5.5 months (AACR 2022). Here we report on updated biomarker analyses from paired biopsies (Bx) pre- and on-Ola therapy from 14 AMTEC participants. Abstract BACKGROUND PARP inhibitors (PARPi) afford a rational therapeutic strategy in metastatic TNBC (mTNBC) due to the high incidence of dysregulated DNA damage repair mechanisms and high-level genomic instability that resemble tumors originating in germline BRCA-mutated carriers. However, PARPi monotherapy has limited efficacy in BRCA wild-type mTNBC; in BRCA mutant disease following initial response, compensatory mechanisms inevitably restore replication fork protection. AMTEC leverages pre- and on-therapy biopsies from a 4-week PARPi monotherapy run-in period for personalized biomarker-dr
