In 2018 the number of visitors to the Museum Kretek reached 102,998 visitors, while the total visitors to the Musuem Jenang Kudus reached 397,625. Various approaches toward ecological education of schoolchildren using the resources of museums (Darwin Museum, MSY Zoological Museum, Moscow Zoo, MSU Agriculture Museum, K. Timiryazev Biological Museum) are discussed. The ecological approach makes the founding principle of structuring displays and research and educational activities of the museums of the natural sciences. Their educational environment provides support for personal creative development, for educating ethical principles of social behavior and attitudes toward nature.
