Les auteurs rapportent les résultats de suivis séro-épidémiologiques réalisés dans la zone sahélienne, la zone des Niayes et en zone nord-guinéenne respectivement sur des zébus, des bovins Diakoré et des taurins Ndama. Des veaux âgés de 0 à 3 mois ou de 3 à 6 mois ont fait l'objet de prélèvements de sang tous les trimestres et ceci durant environ 20 mois. Les résultats d'une étude sur l'abondance d'Amblyomma variegatum dans des zones écologiques différentes et des taux d'infection par Cowdria ruminantium dans les nymphes et les adultes de la tique de la zone nord-guinéenne sont présentés. The Gandiolais is part of the large "Niayes" ecosystem in the Saint Louis region. It is bordered by active dunes from the recent Quaternary delimiting interdune depressions in which the sub-surface water table has favored the practice of vegetable crops. These vegetable cropping areas are production systems that are now facing silting up.&#x0D; Our results show that this silting is due to deflation and/or mass movement of dune soils. Trente moutons vaccinés et 30 moutons témoins sont introduits dans la région des Niayes au Sénégal et font l'objet d'un suivi quotidien. Des moutons provenant d'une zone indemne de cowdriose ont été immunisés par la méthode de l'infection, suivie du traitement par une oxytétracycline à longue durée d'action. Ces animaux sont ensuite exposés dans une zone d'enzootie à l'infection naturelle, en même temps que des moutons témoins. On observe l'évolution numérique des tiques infestant ces ovins, afin d'établir une corrélation entre l'infestation causée par certaines espèces, notamment par Amblyomma variegatum, et l'apparition de la cowdriose.
