Family life in Europe has undergone many changes in the twentieth century. These include the lifestyle of women, their legal freedom, family relations, relations with partners, relations with the older generation, and relations with children. The position of women in society has also undergone many transformations. Problems remain, however, in the social and family policy of the state, as women engaged in the working process give preference to their own plans and their need for self-fulfilment. Th e main goal of state family policy in the twenty-first century is, then, to ensure a harmonious balance between professional activity and family life.

In the present paper we discuss the results of the study specifics of intergenerational relationships in the family and nonfamily spheres among students with a characteristic character of professional development. We assumed that the experience of harmonious family intergenerational relations will contribute to the establishment of constructive relationships with representatives of other generations outside the family; the nature of professionogenesis (crisis and prosperous) will affect the specifics of intergenerational relationships. We also suggested that in the period of late adolescence and early adulthood, the stage of professional training is one of the central processes, and teachers are important figures in social interaction. Participants were 176 students aged 17-25 from Saint-Petersbur; 3 groups were defined: crisis, prosperous and a group with an acute crisis in the learning process. As a result, according to the results of the study, we studied the ambiguous impact of intergenerational relationships on the process of professional self-determination in a situation of crisis development. We have identified markers that indicate the experience of an acute crisis of professional development at the initial stage of professional training. We found a significant role of the teacher in the formation of the character of professionogenesis in young people, and revealed the contribution of family intergenerational relationships to the professional development of the student

Annotation: family is a key concept of the family law. However, today there are different views with regard to the questions of what a family is and whether a family or its individual members are subjects of legal relations (including property relations) in the professional literature and in the legislation. At the same time, the answers to these questions are of scientific and practical importance, since without having a clear understanding of the subjects of property relations in the family it is impossible to understand the mechanism of their legal regulation. The subjects of legal relations significantly determine their features. Interacting with the participants of social relations, the law forms the specific nature of legal relations based on their participants. The doctrinal approaches to understanding of characteristics of the family as a legal phenomenon are analyzed; the problem of determining the legal personality of the family is discussed; the conclusion that the family is not an independent legal subject, but is a legal fiction that makes it possible to unite individual subjects of property relations in the family, i.e. family members, is made and explained in the article.

Professional families - the development of the relationship between a professional mother and the child in the context of the mother's status A professional family is an organizational form of institutional care which is used mainly in residential children's homes. By considering the psychological development of the child and by providing a supportive environment, the professional family provides systematic, purposeful and professional care and education for the child. It attempts to respect age differences and developmental disorders in the child. The professional family provides this care and education continually for a specific period of time. The process of forming a relationship between the parents and the children being cared for is very problematic. There is a significant lack of clarity and many problems exist in this field and to make it worse the status of the professional parents, mainly the professional mother are not clearly defined. We attempted to define this status through qualitative research using the theory of object relations by Donald Wood Winnicott.

The paper considers the analysis of reciprocity principle in reproduction of social relations and functioning of mutual aid practices within local communities. The reciprocity is considered as the principle of interpersonal and social relations implying clear and latent mutual obligations among participants. The study covers the empirical diagnostics of such parameters as family, friends, neighbors, and professional networks of mutual aid as intensity and regularity of functioning and orientation of resource transfer (receiving/rendering), nature of reciprocity of obligations, motivation of resource interchange. It is shown that children characterize the resource interchange with parents and adults by the highest degree of intensity. At the same time, the majority of participants of such exchanges do not rely on the equivalent volume of reciprocal services, and these interactions are generalized and reciprocal. Towards “weak” links (with neighbors, fellow workers, acquaintances) there is a focus on balanced reciprocity: when receiving help, from 50% to 57% of respondents count on equivalent return. In motivating the mutual aid, the balanced reciprocity is most obviously expressed in professional and neighbor networks of mutual aid. In relations with friends, it is counterbalanced with emotional, valuable and existential motives, which are dominating in family relations. The regulatory importance of the reciprocity principle and its backbone character in various types of networks of mutual aid is justified. At the same time, it is confirmed that the reciprocity in family relations, first of all, has emotional, psychological and valuable background, while in other networks of mutual aid the balanced nature of resource interchange serves a condition of their stability..

This study investigates the professional experiences of female heirs in a variety of family businesses located in three states of the Brazilian Southeast. The aim is to analyze both how the family and business structures affect the daughters' visibility in managerial positions and the resulting gender relations. Twelve open-ended, in-depth interviews were conducted. The responses were analyzed, and pathways were classified according to the Gersick, Davis, Hampton, and Lansberg (1997) three-dimensional development model of family businesses. Three groups were formed to describe the daughters' experiences: invisible, professional, and anchor.

The division of labor within married couples in ministerial professions is a special case of gender-specific division of labor. Since their relationship is marital and professional at the same time, the divisions of professional and familiar tasks are interconnected. Previous research demonstrates that, in such cases, gender roles may override professional status, which implies that clergywomen may easily fall into the traditional role of the pastor’s wife. Through semi-structured in-depth interviews with female members of ministerial couples in Hungary, we explore the professional and family roles, divisions of labor, and power relations that characterize relationships where both spouses are clergy. Based on these interviews, we identify three different career strategies which clergywomen use to cope with the tension between their emancipatory role as clergywomen and the traditional expectations of a clergyman’s wife: (1) the Conformist Strategy, (2) the Conformist with a Second Career Strategy, and (3) the Co-equals Strategy. Our results also demonstrate that unequal relations in professional and family tasks are reinforced by traditional gender roles typical for Hungary in general and for Hungarian clergy in particular.

The relevance of this research is substantiated by the fact that absolutely all modern researchers in the field of family and marriage relations unanimously claim the crisis of family values and the institution of marriage overall. The subject of this research is the modern socio-psychological studies of family and marriage relations. The goal lies in topical areas of research that require the attention of psychologists. The main research method is the theoretical analysis carried out on the basis of dissertations on the corresponding problematic for the recent decade, as well as scientific articles published in the XXI century. The novelty of this article consists in outlining the key vectors of modern socio-psychological research of family and marriage relations carried out in the XXI century, as well as the new socio-psychological phenomena in the subject field of family and marriage relations. The conclusion is made that at the present stage, the interest of scholars captures the entire life cycle of a family, where each stage is peculiar in its own way; but the socio-psychological characteristics of this phenomenon determine the success of each stage, primarily the relationship between the spouses and family members. The conclusion is made that the overcoming the current crisis of the institution of family largely depends on its participants, professional competencies of the psychologists  with their research activity, development of the programs and trainings, professional counseling, etc.

The present work is part of the research project “Legal professions: impact of gender relations, family roles and care in the strategies of professional integration of lawyers in Santa Rosa”, whose purpose is to make an approximation of the positions that the women lawyers of Santa Rosa (La Pampa) occupy, in the professional work areas of the legal field, and observe how gender and family roles and care responsibilities affect their professional career. It will reflect on the relationship between the training of legal operators in higher education (HE), their professional practices and the re/production of gender stereotypes, since there is still a general collective imaginary that preserves the traditional model of femininity, by which differentiated conceptions of the characteristics and capacities of women and men are imposed on subjectivities. This imaginary acts in the lives of women inside and outside the universities in the form of discrimination, and the subjectivities constructed under these gender differential patterns are what ultimately shape the professional practice of law. The legal profession is conquered by stereotypes and differential gender relations that harm women, and despite the fact that the field of legal university study has been feminized, as well as public and private professional practice, there are still inequalities in the ways in which the legal profession is exercised by men and women. Therefore, it becomes necessary to make a critical theoretical reflection of the process of labor insertion of women lawyers and the relationship between profession, gender, family relations and care of the city of Santa Rosa, this work responding to the dual purpose of evidencing, while promoting the denaturation of gender segregation and inequalities against women.

The idea of family alludes to relations of protection. Generally, the thought and idealized family connotes hegemony. In Brazil, adopting the idea of families would be more appropriate considering the ethnic and cultural multiplicity. However, it is in this refuge that generally involves relations between adults, youth and children, that domestic violence occurs, which is a social phenomenon of alarming relevance. This review article aimed to discuss the relation between social representations of family and violence in a space of family relations, from studies performed with various social groups composed of women and/or men, children, health professionals and health managers. Theses and dissertations, developed in the Federal Universities of Pernambuco and Bahia, Brazil, were used as the study base. The studies full reading was followed by a registration form. The results pointed the family as a moral value that makes difficulty breaking relations of violence. The existent paradigms in social and health areas that influence and establish professional actions, do not answer to the consideration of the phenomenon family violence.

Treatment and rehabilitation measures for schizophrenia are not limited to the elimination of psychotic conditions, but also have as their goal the possible social re-adaptation of patients, which includes both professional and labor activity, and social adaptation. The family as the primary social group in which an individual forms and learns about himself as a person and which mediates his relations with society, forms a special psychological environment with maximum closeness of communication. Family relations therefore necessarily affect the course of the disease. Full social compensation of the mental defect is not achieved without active participation of the patient's consciousness and without a critical attitude toward the disease. Without taking into account self-consciousness it is impossible to study interpersonal relations, including family relations.

In this article, I discuss how diversity shapes mediation when the latter is adopted for the purpose of resolving quarrels between family members, and I explore how mediation can become more inclusive to accommodate diversity and enhance equality. Diversity permeates how families are created, their structures and the relations within them. Similarly, diversity involves the roles that family members play within the family unit. There is also the diversity brought by the various social identities of the family members who are in dispute, and those identities in turn intersect with the family members’ identity as disputants. All these manifestations of diversity have an impact on the nature of family disputes and their resolution. However, the current institutional and professional approaches to mediation practice seem to oversimplify the nature of family, family relations, family disputes and family disputants, especially in terms of diversity. Thus, research and improvements in understanding and practice are needed to ensure that resolutions are reached respecting diversity and enhancing equality and inclusion. Here, I propose a contextualized and integrated approach that shapes mediation interventions in accordance with family diversity. Reflecting on diversity as it manifests in family relations and mediation will foster a renewed understanding of access to justice that builds upon kinship studies and intersectionality, whereby diversity, in all its manifestations, is a value. Keywords: family relations; diversity; inclusion; mediation.

In the UK, the issue of parent abuse remains an unacknowledged and under-researched form of family violence receiving little recognition within social policy and professional practice. This may in part be due to the way it transgresses conventional notions of family power relations in which children are seen as potential victims but not as perpetrators. In this paper, we develop a framework for analysing the complexity of family power relations and explore how these may inform the context in which parent abuse and victimisation occurs. This may help to inform constructive policy and practice responses to this issue.

Reproduction of generational succession in small and medium-sized businesses is a basic element of the national economies of many Western countries. Russia’s socio-economic development is also guided by a significant increase in the SME sector. However, the relatively short period of development of market relations in our country, economic crises and transitivity of the status of family business (both in the legal field and in public opinion), instability of organizational and communicative practices of inheritance of capital are factors that prevent the formation of entrepreneurial dynasties in Russia. An empirical study of strategies for reproduction of entrepreneurial dynasties shows that small businesses in our country are less focused on educational strategies, through obtaining professional education. Professional continuity is based primarily on work experience (usually from grassroots positions) and mentoring from the older generation. However, the educational strategies are becoming more relevant at the level of prospects for including the third generation of heirs in the family business. Strategies of social (accumulation of mobilizable social relations) and symbolic (accumulation and multiplication of recognition capital) investment are common in dynastic reproduction. Family traditions and business experience are often associated with the ability to transfer social capital at a lower cost, the advantage of broadcasting and adopting informal business experience and business connections. Intergenerational continuity is ensured by the formation and translation of the family culture of the business dynasty with special value-identification meanings, including the special professional ethos of family business representatives.

Personal experience of LGBT individuals in interpersonal relations and in the professional sphere has been defined based on the results of research obtained by focus-group interviews. The research has been conducted on the sample of 6 participants, i.e., 3 male and 3 female members of LGBT population. The paper focuses on the experience of LGTB individuals in interpersonal relations and in the professional sphere and confirms the results of extensive research which indicate that there is a much higher level of tolerance to female homosexuality than tolerance to male homosexuality. Research results emphasize that gay men are faced with more serious concerns, both in interpersonal relations and in the professional sphere than lesbians. As a rule, all research participants have experienced disapproval and condemnation from their parents after revealing their sexual orientation. Even though family members of LGBT individuals have accepted their sexuality over time, their mutual relations have inevitably changed. Participants’ contacts with family members have been significantly reduced, as they do not share their feelings or confide in the members of their families as they used to. Additionally, after coming out about their sexuality, gay men have suffered insults and aversion from their friends or faced numerous difficulties when trying to make new friends. On the other hand, lesbian participants in the research have not seen their sexual orientation as an obstacle to making new friends or interacting with their old friends and acquaintances.

This article examines developments in parenting and family support services in France. Drawing on qualitative empirical studies, the article considers two types of initiatives ‒ the Programmes for Educational Success (PRE) and parenting interventions delivered alongside child protection services. Both of these services are examples of new types of parenting and family support interventions in the French context targeted at ‘children at risk’, seeking to address and prevent problems of educational underachievement, youth offending, poor health in children and young people and child neglect and maltreatment. The article critically reviews tensions between principles of more responsive, partnership-based family support and more prescriptive parenting education and family interventions. Drawing on empirical findings, the article examines frontline practice and professional‒family relationships, highlighting the significance of ‘parental involvement’ practice and conflicting professional and parental perspectives about children's needs, family support and professional–client relationships.

Marriage is understood as a personal interaction between a man and a woman, regulated by moral principles and duties. Changes in the socio-economic structure of our country, which have taken place in recent decades, have led to a serious crisis in the institution of the family. The number of divorces dissatisfied with family relations is growing. This article explores the motivations and mechanisms for the formation of new family relationships, the motives for creating marriage at different stages of the period of adulthood. Requirements for a marriage partner are an indicator of a person's needs under certain socio-economic conditions. Despite the predominance of the importance of the sphere of hobbies, professional development and active social life of women and men, the sphere of family life turned out to be the most significant. Among the motives most often indicated in men is the desire to take care, and in women the desire to be cared for, the desire to love and be loved.

AbstractWhile research suggests that work centrality has a positive effect on work engagement and a negative influence on family satisfaction, these relations may differ as a function of one's work setting (onsite vs. remote working). In the present study, we examined the direct and indirect – through work-family conflict (WFC), family-work conflict (FWC), work-family enrichment (WFE), and family-work enrichment (FWE) – effects of work centrality on work engagement and family satisfaction. We also examined whether these effects of work centrality on work engagement and family satisfaction differed between onsite and remote employees. We used a cross-sectional survey design to test our hypotheses among a total of 432 employees, including 152 always working onsite and 280 working remotely. As expected, our results revealed that work centrality was positively related to work engagement and negatively to family satisfaction. Moreover, the indirect effects (IE) of work centrality on work engagement were significantly mediated by WFE, whereas the IE of work centrality on family satisfaction were significantly mediated by FWC, WFE, and FWE. Finally, the relations between work centrality and the outcomes (work engagement and family satisfaction) were stronger among onsite employees than among remote employees. These results revealed that remote working may act as a double-edged sword by buffering the negative effects of work centrality on family satisfaction but also limiting the positive effects of work centrality on work engagement. Organizations and managers should thus consider addressing employees' work centrality and work type in their efforts to promote employees' professional and personal well-being.

The autobiographical tale of geologists, the Negrutsa spouses, “The Path of Love” (2002) is an informative source on the history of Russian geology, the everyday life of field researchers, and the social history of the family. The main significance of the book is that it is a socio-anthropologically valuable autodescription of a married family belonging to the scientific intelligentsia and to a certain professional group. The work contributes to the study and understanding of the processes of the formation of Soviet urban families in the second half of the twentieth century. The content of the book is considere in the context of the problems of marriage choice, matrimonial relations, the organization of extended kinship communities, family crises and conflicts, the relationship between professional and family aspects of life. The Negrutsa family belonged to the type of married families, whose unity is based on the personal interaction of husband and wife and is supported by immanent values. At the same time, the married family is influenced by the traditions of parental families, which in this case differed significantly in socio-cultural properties.

The article deals with the factors of the family environment that have a depriving effect on the participants of gender relations in the systems "husband-wife", "parents-children" and hinder the development of parity relations in private life. Gender relations in the field of marriage and family are considered as real practices and models of intersex interaction, behavior, values and social norms that determine the organization of family life and the culture of family relations. The definition of "gender deprivation in marriage and family" as deprivation faced by women and men in the performance of marital and parental roles due to gender perceptions, stereotypes and attitudes present in the mind, and gender prejudices reflected in the behavior of individuals of marital and parent-child interaction, which generate gender differentiation, stratification, gender imbalance in the distribution of household responsibilities, household, educational, guardianship, recreational and other family roles in the field of unpaid domestic work. The aggravation of contradictions between partners in focusing on the egalitarian or patriarchal type of building family relationships and the tendency to dysfunctional development of the modern family, which manifests itself in overburdening women with family responsibilities, inflexibility of family norms, inconsistency of role behavior, ignoring the needs and feelings of family members, conflict interaction, domestic violence, blurred family life plans have been emphasized. The conditions for overcoming gender deprivation in the field of marriage and family are identified: the gender- oriented state family policy as a tool for strengthening and developing the social institution of the family, ensuring the comprehensive development of the family and its members, preventing and resisting domestic violence; the approval in the society the value of parity marital relations, equal distribution of domestic responsibilities, mutually responsible fatherhood / motherhood; educational activities to strengthen the egalitarian and weaken the patriarchal foundations of the modern Ukrainian family, the formation of zero tolerance of society to domestic violence; increasing the gender sensitivity of the population, expanding the rights and providing opportunities for a wife and a husband for personal and professional development; activation of personal resources of women and men to choose the optimal strategies of self-realization in the field of marital and family relations and other spheres of public life.

This paper investigates aspects of the changes brought about by women's continuing entry into paid employment, particularly in higher-level occupations. We will argue that, despite recent criticisms, the occupational structure still remains a useful framework through which to examine processes of social change. We will demonstrate our arguments by drawing on biographical interviews carried out with women doctors and bankers in four different countries. This evidence suggests that there are systematic differences in family building, and in the domestic division of labour, between women in these two occupations. These differences relate to the characteristics of `professional', as compared to `managerial', occupations. Finally, we discuss the wider implications of our findings.

AbstractIndigenous beauty pageants can be seen as a way of re-appropriating indigenous identity. This article approaches beauty pageants as being situated in multiple systems of power at four levels of contestation: (1) reproducing gender relations and creating new professional and political opportunities; (2) constituting a site for cultural and political agency and delimiting the ways to ‘be a Maya woman’; (3) reproducing class relations in terms of access to the event and contributing to social awareness of beauty queens; (4) as a social event consolidating (gender) relations within the family. The findings are based on longitudinal (2002–14) ethnographic fieldwork in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.

Efficient management at family businesses, like all other enterprises, requires the use of appropriate methods and tools. However, in many cases, the people managing these entities do not have any formal business education and often follow their intuition and act on experience gained over the years. The purpose of this article is to determine the extent to which select management methods and tools are used in Polish family businesses and to examine their impact on the effectiveness of achieving various objectives. A survey was conducted on a group of 182 managers of family businesses from Poland, who were asked about the effectiveness of achieving goals and the methods and tools used in management. The goals have been aggregated into three main groups: family goals, business goals, and a mix of family and business goals. Then, using statistical methods, the impact of the selected management methods and tools on the effectiveness of these three groups of objectives was examined. The conducted analysis has shown that family businesses in Poland make little use of professional management methods and tools and are rather limited to the intuitive use of the simplest methods, which they often cannot even professionally name. The research results indicate that the use of these methods only partially influences the effectiveness of achieving the set goals, and this impact can be observed in all three groups. In view of the above, the basic task of the broader family business environment is to improve the knowledge of professional management methods and tools among family business managers. From the scientific point of view, further research in this area is also necessary because little use of management methods and tools, especially those more professional, makes it difficult to broaden the study of the actual impact of these instruments on the effectiveness of achieving family business objectives

One of the modern trends of Russian society is the conscious refusal of childbearing, called conscious childlessness, which is gaining popularity at the present time. The transformation of the institution of the family and family-marriage relations contributes to the revision of traditional family values, which inevitably lead to the emergence of a system of individual values with the possibility of personal self-realization, forming in people's minds stable ideas about the decline in the social significance of the values of childbearing and parenthood, associated, among other things, with significant changes in the gender display, determining the nature and extent of conscious rejection of childbearing by gender, revealing the extent of the spread of this social phenomenon in the conditions of modern society. In many ways, this is facilitated by the level of education of modern women, who, along with men, have equal opportunities to achieve a high level of professional and career growth, forming stable ideas about the importance of personal self-realization over the value of childbearing, which entails a serious transformation of the reproductive behavior of a modern woman focused on giving up having children. At the same time, the nature of social attitudes and the motivation of conscious childlessness have pronounced individual characteristics and depend on the value preferences of the individual. The purpose of this study is caused by a serious scientific interest in the problem of conscious childlessness in modern conditions, which is the result of deep transformational processes in the field of family and marriage relations. In accordance with this goal, the following tasks are set: to analyze the value system that influences the formation of the phenomenon of conscious childlessness in modern conditions; to consider the main reasons for the conscious refusal of childbearing; to identify the degree of influence of professional growth of a person on the choice of conscious childlessness at the present stage. It should be noted that the phenomenon of conscious childlessness does not always cause negative emotions on the part of society, forming a loyal attitude to childless families, as a manifestation of a certain social norm reflecting the new format of family and marriage relations in the conditions of transformation of the institution of the modern family.

Under conditions of global economy, geographical mobility becomes an important aspect of the working lives for a wider range of professionals. At times, these people move with their families. The relocation to a new country can entail changes for the whole family, in particular for the partner, who can experience a more pronounced alteration of work–family relations. Especially for dual career couples, with both partners employed before migration, the change in the experience of time can be very profound for the accompanying partner who can move from being a full-time professional to being a full-time homemaker. Based on two studies conducted respectively in China and Switzerland with mobile families, we explore how accompanying partners experience and practice time in the context of migration with the family. We discuss how, while time for the contracted partner can still be structured by work, a more ambivalent mixture of personal desire, family relations, cultural values and social expectations seem to affect the subjective experience of time for the accompanying partner.

The article notes that each culture has its own «normative» model of the family, characterized by its defining parameters. These parameters reflect different indicators – descriptors – as attributes that determine the corresponding value and behavior in society. The types of family relationships identified by humanitarian science are revealed. It is proved that in a retrospective of the historical development of mankind, the relationships not only of the family and society, but also of the family and the individual changed, which depended on many factors. The article analyzes the negative trends of marriage and family relations, it is noted that along with the form of actual (civil) marriage, there is a tendency to the appearance of a large number of other forms of marriage unions: guest, concubinate, open marriage, business marriage, fictitious, creative union, polygyny, group marriage, same-sex cohabitation, virtual marriage (web-marriage), etc. This trend leads to a change in the content of the phenomenon of marriage, the adoption of actual marriage as a social norm. It is noted that today the semantic attitudes of a person are deformed and the concepts of the purpose and values of life are distorted, there is a noticeable turn of mass consciousness from the collectivist values of the family to the individual values of the person, which to a certain extent disorganizes both family life and social relations. It is noted that according to the results of the study, the authors of this article developed an educational module "Modern Family" for students of a different professional fields.

The internal power of the large Korean business groups (chaebol) had been determined by the interests of the founding families and the hierarchical relations within their organizational structure. Since the 1980s, the family-dominated business groups have been challenged and the power of professional managers has gradually increased. Nevertheless, the dominant coalition of corporate owners and managers has been formed on the basis of shared interests and coordinated strategic management. It is reinforced through a complex set of social ties based on school, regional and marriage networks. This structure of embedded social relations within a class provides a social basis for a class’ internal integration and common action. Accordingly, our analysis of corporate control reveals the institutional dynamics of power relations that is not fully captured by the extent of interlocking directorships.

This article discusses the way how members of a family, living in a socially vulnerable community, perceive their own health and the community dental practices performed by the Family Health Strategy. The context of the study is the axis on the condition of life of the care model, as recommended by the National Policy of Buccal Health that foresees the approach of the population from their familiar universe and from the social relations experienced in the territory. It is a social study of qualitative, exploratory and descriptive approach carried out in a municipality of Santa Catarina by means of collective interview and adjusted thematic analysis. By means of the category “Bonds in a community cultural reality”, the data analysis revealed that both health and community dental practices are perceived through relations that express the subalternity, the intersubjectivity, the willingness to work, the bond with the evangelical church, life through arts, and sexual violence. The conclusion drawn is that materialization of the model of care, through the axis life conditions of the communities, requires the problematization of professional certainties generated by the hegemonic production of a technical scientism detached from the real life of vulnerable families.

Special education teachers are a big part of how students with disabilities learn. Because of conflicts between work and family and family and work, special education teachers are less happy with their jobs than other teachers. This study looks at the work-family, work-family, and job satisfaction of special education teachers in Kottayam. Sixty special education students from Sulawesi were used in this study. This research is about describing things. The standard questionnaire collects data. Teachers were unhappy with their jobs, and there was a strong link between WFC and FWC (p=.000). (p=.000) FWC influences job satisfaction. The project's main goal is to make it easier for special educators to do their jobs. Their low incomes and lack of education keep them from getting help from the government, which hurts their mental health and potential. Teachers, especially those who teach kids with special needs, help kids grow. People who work in schools help kids who have trouble learning. Special school teachers have to deal with more stress and pressure than other teachers. So, it is crucial to find out if these things are causing problems in their personal, professional, and family lives. So, teachers must teach and help students with disabilities in regular classes. Special education teachers must work harder than other teachers to help students with special needs. Special education teachers help disabled kids succeed by being their second parents, advisors, and counsellors. These teachers must figure out how to balance their personal lives with their jobs. Most people have trouble keeping their personal and work lives in balance. They find it hard to meet both their personal and professional obligations. Human relations are the ways that people get along with each other. The human relations model was made by Elton Mayo, Mary Parker Follet, and Robert Owen. It is based on the idea that workers are motivated not only by money, but also by praise, recognition, a sense of belonging, victory or achievement, and pride and honor in their work. Focusing on people and relationships boosts morale and gets more work done. When employees feel welcome in the office, they work harder and are happier with their jobs. The same as these teachers. Policymakers and governments often do not care about them. This affects the quality and satisfaction of the job. OBJECTIVE: To assess whether reported morbidity and complaints of lack of time and sleep are associated with the burden of professional work and housework among nurses. METHODS: A cross-sectional exploratory study was carried out among female nurses and nurse assistants (N=206) of a public hospital in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Data were collected by means of a questionnaire. The prevalence ratio and 95% confidence intervals were estimated. RESULTS: Mean duration of professional work and housework time was 40.4 and 31.6 hours/week, respectively. Long professional working time (over 44 hours/week) were associated with mild emotional disorders (PR=1.37; 95% CI: 1.05-1.80), complaints of lack of time for resting/leisure (PR=1.61; 95% CI: 1.31-1.97), housework (PR=1.48; 95% CI: 1.12-1.97), and childcare (PR=1.99; 95% CI: 1.51-2.63). Long housework time (over 28 hours/week) was associated with lower prevalence of lack of time for childcare (PR=0.62; 95% CI: 0.46-0.84). High housework load was associated with lack of personal time and complaints of varicose veins (PR=1.31; 95% CI: 1.14-1.50 and PR=1.31; 95% CI: 1.08-1.58, respectively). Complaints of varicose veins were also frequent among female nurses with a total work load above 84 hours (PR=1.30; 95% CI: 1.05-1.61), though this group has shown a lower prevalence of arterial hypertension and recurrent headaches (PR=0.35; 95% CI: 0.15-0.83 and PR=0.53; 95% CI: 0.32-0.89, respectively). CONCLUSIONS: Results suggest that both professional and home environments are relevant in the evaluation of work overload on nurses' health and their family and social life. It is stressed the need for instruments for analyzing total workload among female populations.

This article attempts to identify gender stereotypes of modern youth living in a large peripheral city in the field of family life and intergenerational and gender relations. According to a number of researchers, in the modern world there is a "global disintegration" of the traditional system of division of social labor, power relations between men and women, which inevitably leads to the transformation of marriage and family relations. Thus, modern women are increasingly involved in the material support of the family, men are more engaged in household chores than before, participate in the education and development of children, etc. And, therefore, it is necessary to study this aspect of sociology in order to rid society of existing prejudices, stereotypes associated with the behavior patterns of men and women. The formation of gender identity is one of the first forms of human socialization. A family is the primary institution that a person gets into, and, consequently, the development of gender roles takes place here. Gender socialization affects the relationship between the sexes, allows men and women to communicate. However, it is often possible to notice misunderstandings between the sexes, which leads to the formation of stereotypes, as well as various social problems, such as: gender discrimination, a large number of divorces, domestic violence. It was supposed to find out what is the basis for the formation of such stereotypes in modern Russian society. Thanks to the results obtained, specialists working with families, as well as working with young people, will be able to improve the culture of serving visitors of different socio-demographic groups and plan their professional activities more carefully.

The author in their work analyzes familial relations, gender roles and gender equality issues based on Vice Admiral N.V. Kopytov’s letters to his wife, letters currently being stored in his personal fund stored at the Russian State Archive of Navy. The novelty of the scientific usefulness of the letters is determined by their use as a source base for further historical analysis. The introduction of N.V. Kopytov’s personal letters into scientific use for the first time has allowed the authors and further researchers to obtain information to analyze a wide range of issues: including interpersonal communications, gender relations, everyday life, and professional activities. In addition, this research has allowed the analysis of the influence of peculiarities of mentality, class affiliation, financial situation on the character and main priorities of relationships in N.V. Kopytov’s family. Recent research interest in personal letters as historical sources of private origin and the epistolary genre is currently associated with the ability to identify common and specific features of intra-family communications of people of a certain social stratum and social status, in this particular case, the noble family of the Vice-Admiral of Navy. The study of the letters allows us to conclude that the Kopytov family was not typical of Russian society and was more of an equal partnership, despite the prevailing gender inequality enshrined in the legislation and in the mentality of the population of time. The authors have examined the causes of family relations which were considered progressive for the period under consideration, based on the equal division of gender roles and the position of spouses in joint decision-making.
